11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what

yeah! if i sit down to draw deliberately i’ll usually either have a show on or play the audiobook of whatever i’m reading. but sometimes i’ll just get a whim and grab my tablet and end up drawing for hours in silence, and then i feel silly for it when i do come up for air

16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing

this one’s a little hard, because mostly i do just draw what i find fun ! maybe animals?? i’m not bad at them but i have to stick so closely to references for them that it doesn’t feel very expressive or imaginative. but i’d say that means im NOT good enough at them yet

21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways

ooh, there’s a lot of those since i don’t do detailed lineart or rendering myself, so i admire artists who are skilled at that.

lately i’ve also been rly taken with the religious artwork from dragon age. it’s so figurative and unearthly like

i’ve seen appreciation for the elven murals & the in game tarot cards but not rly for the andrastian stuff but i look at these and i’m like i can see why church makes the dragonage ppl crazy, i Understand

nautilea victrilianus: rear admiral in the turian imperial navy, decorated shanxi veteran and wife of ambassador tibero quentius

favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?

she likes to wear the jacket of her dress uniform with all its shiny medals and ribbons like a cape, just to flex, but her favorite thing is a necklace her husband gave her when they were younger, long before shanxi. it's a simple thing, just a simple chain with a colorful agate pendant hanging from it, but it was the first piece of jewelry he ever got her, and he bought it outside turian space so he had to spend his actual savings on it, so there's a lot of sentimental value for her. she wears it everywhere she goes to keep him close to her even when they're apart.

I've been doing a lot with my absolutely horrible OC Minerva lately so I think I'll answer these for her.

41) How misanthropic are they?

I don't think she's necessarily a misanthrope so much as she thinks that she is much better and smarter than everyone around her and it would just be so much better if everybody just did what she told them to.

50) Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?

I don't think that it even occurs to her that she can die. Like, are there situations that she cannot just overpowered storm mage her way out of, but due to sheer overconfidence it doesn't really occur to her that she can lose in any way that matters.

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: I am deliberately NOT named after my ex-aunt; my parents picked a different variant of the same name just to be sure nobody would ever get that impression

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: It's actually been over a week which is a recent record!

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: My husband and I are infertile together. It is the most horrible, dehumanizing, and soul-destroying thing I have ever been through. I'm still trying to figure who I am after this experience, because it's sure as fuck not the person I was before.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: I swim and weight lift

DO YOU USE SARCASM?: Less than when I was younger 😅

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?: Their clothes for sure. Not in a judgmental way. They just interest me.

SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?: I don't totally understand why these are being juxtaposed as opposites? But happy endings. Horror is not my thing.

Are you named after anyone? - My second name is for one of my grandfathers on my mom's side.

When was the last time you cried? - Can't remember right now. Probably a couple weeks ago.

Do you have kids? - Currently me and the family are helping my sister raise her kid, so I'm getting the kid raising experience already lol. Still unsure if I want kids of my own.

What sports do you play/have you played? - I have played karate, tennis and swimming. Currently I just work out at home.

if i normally tag you in these sorts of things and have forgotten on this occasion feel free to just do it anyway :’)

1. FAVOURITE OC.

cheating a little here but these two are very much a package deal to me, they have always been jórunn and raydrin, raydrin and jórunn. do not separate them 🤧 they’ve been living rent free in my brain for over a decade, have grown and matured as i have, and if i could go back in time and tell my ten-year-old self that she’ll still be writing silly little stories about the characters she invented on the floor of a y6 maths class, i think that would make her very happy <3

2. NEWEST OC.

i invented vivienne because when i finally sat down to plan this story that had been kicking around in my head for years, i realised how little sense it made for mathyas to be the listener and so needed a new character to fill that role. though she was designed with a specific narrative function in mind, she has since come into her own as a character in her own right and i’d love to explore her properly someday

3. OLDEST OC.

as above— i’ve had these two since i was around ten, though their names, personalities and appearances have undergone a lot of work since then. i originally created them for a short story about a young couple going spelunking together, but they soon took on lives of their own, especially once i committed to the TESified versions of them <3

4. MEANEST OC.

vivienne speaks as little as she can get away with, but will make no effort to mask her contempt for others where she feels it (which is often). if she goes so far as to verbally express her disdain for someone, it’s because she’s deemed it objectively necessary for them to know how repugnant she finds them. she is so full of hate <3

5. SOFTEST OC.

cassathra is a hug personified, my goal with her was always to create a character who was very earnestly kind n warm. it was only when i sat down to write up her storyline that i realised how genuinely harrowing some of the events of the College of Winterhold questline are, but it’s important to me that she emerges at the end with her big, squishy heart intact :’)

6. MOST ALOOF/STANDOFFISH OC.

this one almost goes without saying— jórunn’s aloofness is one of the first things strangers will notice about her. she’s quiet, reserved, and blunt when prompted to speak, not just around acquaintances but around friends, too

7. DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC.

raydrin is by no means stupid, but he often is guilty of thinking with his heart more than his brain… he’s impulsive and reckless which i think can sometimes manifest as stupidity. but he’s smart in less obvious ways :^)

8. SMARTEST OC.

despite the arguably unwise decisions mathyas makes in the fic (he’s having a bad year), he’s a genuinely very intelligent guy. i kind of designed him and raydrin to mirror each other, in this way— mathyas could afford to perhaps think with his heart now and then

9. OC I WOULD BE BEST FRIENDS WITH.

oh i would get on SO well with sanjir. that man could be anyone’s best friend if he wanted to be; he’s arguably the most gregarious and personable of all my characters, as well as genuinely kind-hearted, down-to-earth, quick witted, and charming. i’m excited to beat him up a lil now that the civil war questline is finally underway, but it comes from a place of love <3

#mathyas looks like a 12 year old boy for some reason. but whatever #cassathra turned out so cute that i needed to make the rest of them for consistency #tag game #thanks again! mwah <3
