#vongola vigilantes

This is completely my opinion but when fusing the khr and bnha worlds together you should keep the organized crime aspect, why the hell would you rework the vongola to be a vigilante organization when the canon vongola has had bosses stray FAR away from that concept. Like sure vongola has values but they also are very highly illegal
Lbr daemon spade being a ghost that haunts vongola to ensure its ruination is a lot more believable, than, say, three thousand year old non human earthlings guarding the artifacts that balance the world.
My point is id love to see fics where tsuna struggles to make his very villain group become vigilantes, and THEN into the hero business if youre going that route (personally i want them to remain criminals for some spice but ehhhh semantics ill read anything if its written well). Dont just retcon it to be a vigilante group holding out for 10 generations 💀💀

Giotto: I’m making a vigilante organization and I’m unsure what to name it
Giotto, a child of Poseidon and little shit: Clam
All do the mafia practically worshiping the Vongola, named in honor of Poseidon himself, would be such an ego (and possibly power) boost for Poseidon tbh.

i do like the idea that when it comes to historical records there are two versions of vongola primo
the one who is known as a legend by the criminal underworld, and the one who is known as giotto, local folk hero, the most accurate depiction of him whose stories are bedtime stories for children who will one day grow up and tell tales of his heroics and kindness for their children too until his story is no longer recognizable as vongola primo
the latter is a vongola primo unknown by the mafia, who sees him as a symbol of power and authority, ignoring his origin as a vigilante

I absolutely can not understand the logic of people saying the Vongola Tenth Generation was a carbon copy of the First Gen when we literally have no solid base personality of the First Gen whatsoever.
Like, can you confirm whether G was redhead-Gokudera worshipping every steps Giotto took or a mother/brother figure to the blond? Can you say Asari was a natural born hitman? Can you be sure that Knuckle the priest was loud and always acted like he was on Hyper Mode? Can you look at me in the eyes and tell me Alaude was a battle maniac that would fight anyone given a chance? Can you know yourself Lampow was a crybaby?
And if you say "sure, I can tell", look up 409 chapters and 203 anime episodes and FIND THE PROOFS for it.
You can't.
Because they had no personality.
Even Giotto. The benevolent and encompassing sky who was gentle, kind and loving. He was gentle, kind and loving THROUGH THE TELLING OF THE LIVING PEOPLE, aka Reborn, Timoteo, ect. In Xanxus's word Giotto was a coward who ran away because he was scared of Secondo's Wrath Flame. In Enma's story before the memory he was a ruthless and malicious traitor who abandoned his friend to death. In Daemon's eyes Giotto was a weak-willed idealist that was not fit for leader role. See what different can history be looked at? Giotto LIVED IN THE TELLING OF THE LIVING, and we have no way to grasp the full of his personality when he was alive.
Eight memories told nothing. Nothing except Giotto was reckless (found vigilante band when 14), had a strong sense of justice and care towards PEOPLE HE LOVED. He was not a saint wanting to save the world, he just want to protect the town he lived and went some extra mile to make sure Cozart and the Simon was safe from Daemon. It was a finite number of people he CARED about, and if Henry Lee Lucas aka "The Confession Killer" had Becky Powell as someone he cared and loved, then I don't see it as a contradiction if Giotto was gentle and cared a great length for people he loved and was absolutely heartless to other outside the circle.
How can you see Tsuna as the carbon copy of this man, I don't understand.

Hi again!
I just noticed you got into the KHR fandom and I'm so excited, welcome!!
I come bearing a few reccs from the fandom:
Birthright by Morcai
Tsuna time-travels, deals with some heavy PTSD and there is comfort delivered by, surprisingly, Kyoya.
Game Over and Over Again by Writing_Frenzy
Tsuna time-travels (again), has a brother and both adore each other, Tsuna is a veritable badass, qnd is the epitome of the 😐 emoji.
(Warning: It gets pretty dark and gory sometimes)
Namimori Gods by renysen
This one is 1827, Kyoya is the reincarnation of a god and looking for the god's godly-wife reincarnation is a Namimori tradition.
Of course, this is KHR, so chaos ensues.
Come Together series by mhwright
In which everybody tries to kill Tsuna when he's a kid, and one day says enough is enough and ask his usual not-quite savior, Hibari Kyouya, to teach him self defense. This changes everything. There is BAMF! Tsuna, Feral!Kyoya, chaos, lught PDA and affection and a lot of confusion for Tsuna's estranged brother, the Decimo candidate. 1827.
Un Fiore Per Te by Cissnei69 (in FFN)
Tsuna lives in an orphanage run by Angie Martinelli, Peggy Carter's friend and somehow it devolves into getting the Winter Soldier to becone her cloud. Actually, there are a *lot* of clouds involved. And somehow, Shamal.
MarvelxKHR crossover, incomplete but is amazingly good.
Cirrus Cloud by CeiaOfSilence
In which Fem!Harry is cloud who has a couple of personas, likes to create chaos and somehow befriended Viper.
Teeth and Claws by TheShadowSwan
Another Fem!Harry is Skulls, but instead of a couple of personas there is a lot of separate personalities, and Skull is a badass. set before the Arcobaleno were cursed for now.
Of Organized Crime and Schizophrenia by AshGopal (FFN)
In which Tsuna is the reincarnation of Senju Tsunade, Jirayja and Orochimaru also are present, the medical procedures in the fic are amazingly written and somehow there is yakuza, flames and chakra.
(Warning: this one can get pretty gory and very detailed abt it)
Starstruck by Little_Miss_Bunny
One of my favorites of the fandom; Tsuna is a normal guy who has a lot of jobs to be able to raise his adoptive siblings, and everyone else (except for Haru, who is his best friend) is an idol and mostly are part of a group. Somehow they are always bunping into Tsuna and Shenanigans happen. Romcom.
Bandaged Hand by Jorie2127 (Flight_orFight)
Tsuna time-travels (yet again) and meets some of the arcobaleno before the first arcobaleno meeting. Romance.
For The Last Time, I'm Not Your Wife! by Gothickprincess
In which every arcobaleno falls in love with Skull, and they're very possessive, and willing to do everything to win his affections. Sky!Skull (I think? Ot's been a while lol), poly!ArcoxSkull.
The Vigilante Boss and His Failed Retirement Plan by Fey_Storyteller
Tsuna (and Giotto) reincarnates into Midoriya Izuku, and promptly wants to retire and live a normal life. Sadly, he's still in middle school and everybody think he just gained his quirk, a perfect one for a hero. Everyone wants him to become one, and fortunately for them, Vongola Intuition may leave him no choice. BAMF-But-Tired!Izuku.
I hope you like them and welcome to the fandom!

feeling very conflicted about that whole speech the ninth gives tsuna. on one hand it's nice he finally asks tsuna what he wants (tho he sure took his time asking, and tsuna already went through a lot because of the title he forced onto him), and you can tell he was genuine and was willing (if not committed) to respect tsuna's decision, whatever it'd end up being.
on the other hand the fact he reasserts yet again that he's been aware all along of how tsuna wants nothing to do with any of that mafia stuff really doesn't sit well with me. (and it's not like he tried to protect him from it as much as realistically possible and as long as he could either. he literally threatened him with death should he refuse to catch mukuro back during the kokuyo arc, and basically left him to sort out his mess during the varia arc. and here again too, asking him to officially take on the title because he deems him ready to, like tsuna literally doesn't have yet to finish middle school.) and then he doubles down on it by saying "you know all the many reasons why you shouldn't be made to ever become a mafia don? yeah, that's exactly why i chose you to become a mafia don". and i do get what he's saying here, but it still means tsuna's going to suffer even more than usual as a mafia don, at least at first.
then again as mafiosi they'd have different standards for what is too young for a child to do, but the fact his argument here is "primo was your age when he created vongola" is... not a fair equivalence at all? it was a different time, different circumstances, and different people however much tsuna is made to be similar to primo. and of course the obvious that is primo choosing that for himself and going on to create a vigilante group, unlike the powerful (the most powerful, in fact) mafia family with a "bloodstained history" and many "sins" (< their words, not mine) vongola became and they're so desperate to make it tsuna's problem.
speaking of which, the way the ninth spins all of it into that whole "you're the only one who can ever hope to change vongola back to its vigilante roots" spiel, to the point where tsuna thinks of it as his responsibility to take or refuse later on, is really, like. i get that tsuna being the only legitimate heir left technically does make him the only one able to inherit vongola, but it doesn't mean that he should or that he has to. and even if he's really the only one who can change vongola, it sure as hell still doesn't make it his responsibility to do so. nor anything that could happen should he refuse to become the next boss will be his fault in any way.
and besides, well, what did the ninth do to change it back? as the current vongola boss? if it truly pains him so much to see what vongola has become and he cares so much to give it a chance to go back to the way it was? and i know he's called the most "moderate" boss vongola has had, but you know what moderation doesn't make me think of? radical change which is the only way to go at this point if one hopes to truly set changement in motion. tearing all of it down and start from scratch again, even.
and most damning of all, tsuna is the only one primo gave his approval and let him have the true form of the rings. and you know what does that tell me? that tsuna is the only one who actually rejected vongola's sins during his vongola trial. and that all the bosses before him, including nono and however "moderate" they may have been or planned to be as boss, agreed to take responsibility for them and then--then what? maybe didn't actively go on their way to add to them, not the moderate bosses at the very least, but also apparently didn't do anything actually meaningful to stop them from adding up, clearly. let alone to change vongola entirely so they wouldn't even have the opportunity to happen ever again. (or at least it's safe enough to assume it's the way it went, because why else would primo approve of tsuna and tsuna only? just because they're similar and share the same ideals? the ninth clearly shares the same ideals as primo too, and yet.)
one more thing, but the ninth said vongola started to change with secondo, so we're talking about ninth generations of bloodstained history and sins here. ninth generations during which none of the bosses did anything to stop the blood and sins from accumulating, or clearly didn't do nowhere near enough for that to happen and stick, and that's for those who even cared to try to to begin with (which we know isn't all of them). like, i talked about radical change for a reason. and yet the ninth wants to make all of it tsuna's problem, expecting him to single-handedly put a stop to it, let alone change it into something else entirely? like that isn't sure to earn him huge, violent backlash from the ones who are perfectly content with what vongola has become? tsuna, a fourteen/fifteen years old kid who was purely a civilian only two years ago, give or take? because--because what? he appears to be the second coming of primo and he couldn't be bothered starting the change at the very least during his years as boss?
and i don't want to call him a hypocrite over it, because i don't think it quite fits, but, you know? also i get that i'm being too realistic here and that it doesn't have its place in the khr universe, but still.
also i know this reads very much as "anti-the ninth" lol, but i promise it isn't that (tho some bias might have slipped in because i'm not fond of him either, and if someone wants to check it i'd be super interested in hearing what you have to say on the matter!). i actually think this is all super interesting stuff that really gives him layers!
i'll say again that i do believe he's genuine throughout the whole conversation and only means well (as much as he can allow himself to anyway). i also believe he's a good man even if that's where i might lose some of you lol, and that he really cares and loves xanxus even if he fucked up royally with him that one time. the same way i believe he does want to do right by tsuna and the predicament he put him in by choosing him as his heir, and that overall he's a good man despite being a mafia don, the way i think we can all agree dino is too. he's also a good boss despite being a good man, but here's the catch because dino? he's a good boss because he's also a good man, and so we have very different definitions of good here.
and the thing is, even if the cavallone family is third in the vongola alliance, being the boss of a mafia family of 5000 (< i think it's the correct number we're given) men is very different from being the boss of vongola. which effectively puts you at the top of the mafia worldwide too. and so, bound by his duty to his family and his people (and the mafia and mafia families allied to vongola at large too), the ninth can't afford to be a good man and a good boss at the same time. or at least didn't find in him (or chose not to) the resolve to commit to one above the other (or actually, appears clearly enough to have chosen one over the other, and he didn't choose to be a good man).
so when he can? he is also a good man too, but how often can he afford to be? my guess is not very often at all. but he still tries to find that balance between the two, and that's what gives us the speech he gave to tsuna in the way he did. and i have issues with it but that's the best he could give him, and i'm glad he gave it to him.
and to answer my question above, i think he's so intent on seeing tsuna inherit vongola because he can see plain as day (everyone can) that tsuna cares much more about being a good man than he'll ever care about being a good boss (in the ninth's definition of the term) no matter what it'll entail. in fact, he only cares about being a good man, at least at this point in time. and should he accept to become the next boss? and then it turns out changing vongola means destroying it first? well.

in the khr-verse we have reincarnation and timeline shenanigans, like mukuro's techniques and byakuran's communicating with other timelines, and with the tri-ni-set. the current tenth gen (tsuna and the gang) are either reincarnations or inheritors of the first gen., sharing their ideals.
xanxus doesn't have vongola blood, but he is noted to look like the second, who was the boss that essentially turn vongola from a vigilante group to a criminal organisation. bear with me here.
when xanxus put on the vongola ring. what if the crimes of the second passed on to him via reincarnation shenanigans...? like, it wasn't eugenics/bloodline/whatever, because the vongola ring wasn't always like that.
(i think the bloodline being necessary was added after the second and before the eighth.)
idk i'm just spitballing here lol

OC Profiles Part 1/?: Oniyanagi - 1st Generation Boss(es)
I'm pasting the text over here in case the text/quality gets messed up and somehow becomes unreadable. Also for easier reading.
Ninomiya Ryuuka & Rinko
Younger Version
"In this whole world, there's only us two."
Birthday: February 14 Age: Around 10 y.o. Clan: Ninomiya Flame: Sky
Fraternal twins* born into a family of assassins with a special bloodline. They look exactly the same in appearance and clothing, not even their family can tell them apart easily.
Rinko (the older twin) is born with superhuman strength and extremely powerful flames. Her weapon is a fortified club. She is kind and empathetic in nature, unlike the rest of the family, but she will not hesitate to kill an enemy. However, she will also not needlessly kill. Her family, who is too used to cruelty and ruthlessness, dislikes this trait of hers because of "trouble" it causes.
Ryuuka (the younger twin) is born with the talent for assassination and the power of shadows. She can turn anything into a weapon but she mainly uses a sword to kill. She's a genius who is neither empathetic nor does she feel too strongly for her family's "values". She aligns her personal desires with her twin's ideals out of love and often stands up for her when criticized by the family.
Older Version
Age: Mid-20s Title: Oniyanagi Boss Height: 168cm Weight: 49kg
Some time after they escaped their family, the twins formed a yakuza group called Oniyanagi (鬼柳), since they are unable to live on as normal people anymore. They utilized their inherent skills to help other people, while also functioning as both a vigilante group and a business group.
Ninomiya Rinko (二宮琳恋)
Bold, fiery and charismatic - Rinko is a reliable young lady, as passionate as the flames that she wields. Unlike Ryuuka, she's seen in public more often and is usually the representative when attending social gatherings. She has formed many connections this way. During battles, she can always be seen in the front lines confidently leading everyone into victory.
Rinko's main weapon is a greatsword - Royal Demon Sword (魔王の大剣/Maou no daiken) - a sword that Ryuuka especially made only for her.
She has a close relationship with Vongola's boss. They befriended each other by chance in a social gathering.
She has tendencies of being overconfident and may come across as slightly arrogant sometimes.
She can be quite wild and sadistic in the battlefield. Others have noted that she has a bit of a temper, which she often hides under a smile.
Ninomiya Ryuuka (二宮竜花)
Intelligent, elegant and cunning - Ryuuka is a scientist and a seeker of knowledge, once she has her eyes set on something, she would pursue it no matter what. She has an unsettling air around her. She specializes in researching and crafting weapons "with life", their main business point. She can seldom be seen in public and lets Rinko do all the talking.
Ryuuka's main weapon is a sword - Lightcutter's Shadow (光切の陰/Hikarikiri no Kage) - a weapon she created that suits her abilities best.
The weapons with life that she creates are intended to have some form of sentience. The weapons can be sentient enough to reject anyone the weapon is not intended for or anyone it doesn't accept.
She often wears simple loose clothing and carries herself with an elegant demeanor. Additionally, she barely wears any accessories. Don't lower your guard, she is always fully armed.
*Note: I used the term fraternal so it's easier to understand and it's a more common term. However, from what I've read from a few articles, it would be more accurate to say that they're half-identical or polar twins with how much they look very much...identical.

I like your headcanon for Cavallone Primo, now I’m wondering when the Cavallone boss got the sky flames? In canon we know Giotto gave the 7 flames of the sky there names and every other family went with it.
When Dino’s tattoo appeared so did his sky flame. I’m interested in future generations since it’s normal that not many use flames because in the canon story line not many people used flames until the future arc.
In canon we only know that the Vongola first gen utilized flames but I wonder if a Cavallone boss did manage to get a flame.
I’m now curious which Cavallone boss would meet Giotto and the Vongola family and learns about flame. How would they view the Vongola since it started as a vigilante organization.
So, the problem is that we are never really explained how people get the Dying will flames, to my memories at least, so I guess it is an occurrence that depends on feelings, state of mind, whatever. I guess everyone has the potential to have the flames, but only a few may have them manifest.
I am just speculating, pls do not crucify me.
As we established that Giotto was there in the 19th century, he may have met the third or the fourth Cavallone boss, also has he met the Cavallone boss prior or after the Italian Unity?
As a reference: Italy was united officially in 1871. We got there in phases, first uniting the north by freeing ourselves from the Austrians. THen in 1860 the expedition of the 1000 guided by Garibaldi freed Sicily from the Borbones and marched towards Naples, then in 1861 Italy was declared a kingdom and the capital was established in Turin. In 1866 Veneto was freed and in 1870 finally the army marched to end the state of the Vatican (famous breach of Porta Pia) and then in 1871 the capital was moved to Rome and Italy was declared fully united.
Depending on that the interactions are quite different. Also, if Giotto started as a vigilante, that means that he and his pals were brigands, which means that any noble would wage repressions and wars against them.
So yeah, I don't think they had a good start.

.Whiskey. Talking first gen headcanons with @queenharumiura and the mystery surrounding G's actual name. But like what if the initial isn't because it's hard to pronounce but a really common Italian name, like Giovanni as it's as common in Italy apparently as like Mike, John or Sam in the US so he was like "just call me G, it's easier." Because every time someone yelled for Giovanni in a crowd around 5 - 10 guys turned and answered.
I'm really curious if that's actually what happened. Because to me it makes sense. My other theory is he knew his position in the Vongola meant he had to hide his identity as much as possible. Even though his generation was long ago and the Vongola was more a small vigilante group at the time, he still had to hide from the cops.
So it's either a very common name so the initial was easier to go by, or he had to hide his identity because of his rank in the Mafia as the Storm guardian and right hand.

They’d done business with each other a few times by now and Haru could say that she trusted both Kurapika’s ability and his character. Despite the fact that she was affiliated with the mafia, she did care for working with decent people. It could be attributed to the fact that thought the Vongola was mafia, the original roots was that of a vigilante group- something that Tsuna and them have brought back to the forefront. Trying to clean up the mess of corruption from generations prior and to prevent innocent victims of the mafia, they had their hands in a lot of things.
It is there that Haru came across these ‘red eyes’ that would occasionally circulate around within the dark circles, traded among other collectors with sick habits. It didn’t take long for her to discover that someone else was looking for these ‘red eyes’ but he was different from the sick collectors with bad habits. It took some time to investigate, but once she had, she had a hunch to go off of and a willingness to take a risk. So she’d approached him first and suggested a deal: I give you information and whenever I’m in need of extra protection, you tag along.
Did she doubt the Vongola’s ability to keep her safe? No, that wasn’t the case, but she needed some kind of excuse to make this transactional. She doubted that Kurapika would’ve believed her if she said she was just trying to help him out of goodwill. Anyone who knew Haru well understood that she always had a soft spot for those younger than her, but it wasn’t like she could expect someone to believe that right off the bat. As such, she came up with this idea to ease some of that suspicion. To prove that she had the ability to make the deal worth his while, she handed over a set she’d ‘found’ (read: took) during her investigation (she may or may not have pulled some of her connections to ensure that the collector would be too ‘busy’ to come after her.
Tumblr media
Reading over some papers, she glances over at the young man sitting across from her. “The travel time this time around is a bit longer than usual, so I do apologize for that. Thank you for accepting the request this time around.” She would've understood if he didn't want to travel by plane for hours upon hours.
There was some business she had to do there, a bit of a personal investigation on her end, if you would. "There isn't much people can do when I keep myself within Vongola territory, but once i'm out of it, my safety becomes a bit tricky." As such, she always needed to ensure her safety by keeping a lot of bodyguards nearby. Employing outside help was also a viable option that she recently took to.

Tsuna, strolling down a street very casually, finally free of his duties as the boss of the Vongola for a week:
Harry, running past with Dudley chasing him:
Tsuna, stopping, watching, Hyper Intuition FLARING:
Tsuna: ...one day, one. Fucking. Day. I can't even get one day, for the love of fuck.
[Angrily stomps off to investigate using his Hyper Intuition like a fucked up compass/hot-or-cold detector.]
LITERALLY THIS
Tsuna had been so careful explaining to the entire family that he would not accept any fuckery on this trip. That any world ending bullshit they tripped their way into while he was gone was theirs to take care of. That, so help him, if anyone called him with anything more serious than “we miss you and love you so much Tsuna” he was going to make Byakuran destroying the world look like child’s play.
He made it all of twenty minutes into his vacation when he saw the boys and felt his hyper intuition blare a warning so loud he was staggering after them before he could even think. By the time he made it to the innocently boring little house in a line of equally identically boring houses he had already cursed himself (for being a busybody of the highest order) and Reborn (who arguably made him this way) in every language he knew twice.
It didn’t stop him from taking in Harry. Or from hissing a low threat to the mountain of a man that had tried to hit the sad eyed child before shoving him at the well dressed stranger that stormed into his house without much as questioning why he may want a young child about exactly what would happen to him if he came anywhere near the kid again.
What was the point of being the head of the most notorious mafia family/vigilante organization if he didn’t use it to his advantage every now and then?
He did, however, resort to whining when Reborn showed up outside the pretty little neighborhood in an rental car complete with car seat for the kid and a shit eating grin as he asked Tsuna how his vacation was treating him. His lover wouldn’t shoot him when he was carrying a civilian child… probably.

Me, hasn’t written anything for “The Vongola Vigilantes” in forever and is stuck in finals hell: what if Aizawa thought his students’ parents agreed to let their kids dorm so easily(?) was because of All Might, but in reality it was because of him and his students singing praise for Aizawa.
Me: I should write that.

Ok, about Vongola Primo cause I note myself I gonna be back at him.
Honestly, Primo's memory in manga (because I hate the anime filler, ok gonna back to that later) doesn't show us much of Giotto's personality. Sociable or shy? Extroverted or introverted? Talkative or silent? We don't know anything. What I got from eight memories was that he was loyal, had a strong sense of justice.
And reckless, noone could take this from my dead cold body that Giotto, Vongola Primo, was reckless as fuck, and this is why:
- In his 1st memory, he chased a total stranger for God-know distance just to give back a wallet.
Tumblr media
Righteous, yes. But also reckless, considering that their town was "paradise of outlaws." Cozart could be a gang member and following him could be extremely dangerous.
Did Giotto consider that? No, he just saw someone "drop the wallet" and immediately chased after them, no thought whatsoever about that person's identity and whether it may bring trouble if chasing that person.
- So, we knew from Nono's words that Giotto found Vongola at about Tsuna's canon age, which is 14, right? Which is, kids. And I bet Cozart and G couldn't be much older than that, considering that a 4-year difference in age normally caused a generation gap in conversation.
Tumblr media
But okay, just talk about Giotto, then. He was a kid in every sense and he found a vigilante group to fight back larger gangs that can kill someone for not discounting the merchandise and from that, of course not gonna hesitate to kill kids. Keep considering that those "larger gangs" had enough firearms to destroy a house to brick, and we see so much difference between the two forces.
If Giotto found Vongola in 14 is not reckless then I don't know what is.
- He was the don, the very symbol of existence of a famiglia, and the first reaction after the shock when hearing his friend being in the battlefield was to run to that battlefield to save him.
Ok, at this point we can all agree he was a loyal friend that would give you his all, but that's not the main point in this scene.
The main point is Giotto stayed at home, alone, with Daemon, who at that point he knew was a traitor and just planned a whole scheme to kill off his best friend. Stay at home, alone, because the guardians that time were at the battlefield rescued Cozart.
Tumblr media
I don't know whether Giotto was confident in the possibility that Daemon wouldn't attack him directly or confident in his winning even if Daemon chose to attack, but you can't tell me he was reckless with his own life as a chip at that scene.
- And the oath with Cozart too, a gamble on life. With his own children and blood. Giotto solely trusted two families won't conflict and no one had to be in jail when he had no way to control how things would turn out in the future. He didn't even control how Daemon ghosting over Vongola, I don't know if he even think his Mist could exist until more than a centure later. (And if Giotto could control that, what a real lookover we need to do, see how Daemon directly killed all of Enma's family. If Giotto could control his Mist guardian and he let that Flood of Blood incident happen, did that change the whole impression we have on him from the beginning? No, I don't think Giotto even had any control over Daemon's ghosting)
Vindice warned. But he still made the oath while having absolutely no idea what the future may be. Second to ninth gen of Simon were Giotto and Cozart's losing chips and Tenth gen was a win. A close one, because Simon Decimo Gen almost went to jail, all of them. And considering that seven children were all what Simon had, if Enma and his guardians went to jail then this oath was completely done in the worst way possible.
- Now to the smaller hints. Like his conflict with Secondo before retiring to Japan. It was brilliant. It was smart. It was the biggest "fuck you" I even see. Giotto conflicted with the next boss and he had to retire? No, he retired AND CUT THE FAMILY IN TWO. Vongola-Cedef. "No, you are the boss but don't even dare to think for one second that you got the whole power I used to have. You are the boss but your choice on the next boss will and can be affected by my own people. Oh and the rings. Lady Sepira gave it to me. Now split them in two and give half to my people. If your people want to be heir, they need to get agreement from my people and had the other half of the rings."
The founding of CEDEF was badass as hell don't anyone dare to tell me otherwise.
Even smaller details. The forth memory shows that he was in a strategic meeting with his family. Talking about a war. A war that according to Adel, "attempt to conquer all the lands of Europe". (Chapter 297) Okay, we can't say for sure how much the "conquer Europe" thing was true or just a lost tale of history, but the forth memory shows that Giotto had a strategic meeting, this can't be argued. He fought in war, a pretty big one.
And anyone remember his smiling yet fiery words "Give that Mare boy a scare"? Childish, I tell you. Giotto had a personality of a blazing flame with sarcasm under his tender and (appear to be) youthful face. Every single manga panels of his appearance can shown how fiery can he be.
And oh, Giotto was an emotional little teen too, just look at the second memory.
Tumblr media
Did anyone gonna talk about his holding flower, punching wall and shouting about justice while drenching in rain? I will and I gonna say he was emotional as hell. And the other moments when Giotto accidentally knocked the ink bottle over when knowing Cozart was in the battlefield, or when he shouting at Cozart's decision to "going into shadow". You can't look at all of them and tell me Giotto's emotion was not overdrive so many times when he was alive.
On HDW mode, he was a solemn, overpowering authority figure, with a soft sadness in his eyes that somehow contained something unreachable. I really like how in eight memory in Inheritance Ceremony Arc, not a single time Giotto was in HDW mode, and he appeared to be lively and much more human than the symbol Vongola made him to be - there is much more to him than a title and a single number attached to it.
But damn his "more" is so :))) I literally don't know what to say when I finished reading about his scarcely past screentimes. I like his whole new reckless with a bit childish characteristics but that not mean it would cause a whole turnover to me, damn.

I wanna give you my fav KHR BNHA xovers. There are some concepts in there that I think will give you some good ideas.
Role Model by Luki (KelpieCodyne)
Xanxus is stuck in Endeavor's body precanon for a little bit and he corrupts/helps Touya.
Out of this World by Luki (KelpieCodyne)
Series of the 10th Gen ditching the Mafia by running to another dimension. Feat. BNHA and Pokémon. Hibari is only in the Pokémon world
Youth by TitleUnwanted
Inspired by KHR, Hatsume makes her own 10 Yr Bazooka. It doesn't quite work right. But. 1-A gets to enjoy 5 yr old Izu.
in your eyes i see (a world so wild and free) by Zakyuu
On Hiatus but very good premise. Immortal Tsuna is Izu's dad. He frets that his son is Quirkless in a world of Quirks. Izu's worried about how to explain that his dad is a Mafia Don without getting anyone arrested. Inspired by Lying is Bad for the Soul by Hayato (TheLennyBunny), where Giotto is immortal and falls for Nana... after Iemitsu. Tsuna is Gio's son.
curiosity kills the cat (but satisfaction brought it back) by bonesetblues
Tsuna is stuck in the BNHA world in the body of a cat. Tsuna takes back all the jokes he might have made about Reborn. This is awful.
Unbound by Sky by Quess
Even ten years later Tsuna manages to get pulled into some time travel shenanigans—courtesy of Lady luck giving him the middle finger. Maybe someone should tell Shoichi and Spanner that you shouldn't leave a portal to another world open while guests are in their lab.
Featuring the young Todoroki siblings and Tsuna taking care of these kids because goddamn they need a mentally stable adult that won't take shit from a man-child projecting harder than a child beauty pageant mom.
The Vigilante Boss and His Failed Retirement Plan by Fey_StoryTeller
It supposed to be a joke, a drastic one where Izuku faked following Katchan's advice to take a leapt of faith. Then the fence on rooftop gave up on him, dying with tons of regret awaken the sleeping sky in his soul. Reminding Izuku that he was supposed to be on retirement for life and the next one- which is this one.
Unfortunately, Hyper Intuition was a bitch to deal with in a world of hero and villain, and he thought he could take advantage of the abundant human resource of heroism in this world. You'd think the world doesn't need more heroes or a Vongola.
old light still slants through by lunarctus (nex_et_nox)
I don’t want to die! Izuku screams in that underpass, drowning under the sludge villain.
Why don’t you let me help you with that? says a voice in the back of his head.
Izuku doesn't have a Quirk.
What he has is good instincts, unexplainable nightmares he can't remember, and a cat named Natsu.
My absolute favorite! Uncompleted, hasn't been updated in a while, but so amazing.

Oneshots about what happens when 4 yr Izu meets Reborn in his dreams and the consequences of that.
So amazing, it made my brain explode with ideas, because author was so right about Sun Flames. Please read this, Ray, it'll spark ideas, I'm sure.
Alaudidae by AmbroiseFrambroise
As a Quirkless boy, the son of Hibari Hisashi and his wife Inko should be weak, right ?
Wrong. Hibari Kyoya is reborn in a strange world where people are just herbivorious as ever, but with powers. He promply decides to be a hero to be able to legaly beat up strongs opponents and restore Order.
Good Luck, UA and the world. You're going to need it.
