Couple of rigs from this weekend. Sunday morning was a fairly typical setup for me with some minor tweaks. Swapped the pickups in the Tele for a set of Fender Pure Vintage '64's and added some Wilkinson compensated brass saddles. Also been experimenting with some different mics. Used a 545SD on the AC30 and an MD421 on the Champ and it sounded massive. Bass rig from @illuminatemeband rehearsal on Saturday consisted of my 68' Bassman into a 2x15 with a pair of JBL D140F's. Gretsch + Fender 🥳 1957 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120, from the year when it lost the G brand and some of the other more overtly Western appointments and gained hump block inlays. Perfect binding, perfect neck set and 100% original right down to the aluminum nut. The Fender Vibrasonic is one of the very first to roll off the assembly line (loooow two-digit serial and date codes from 1960). Check it out...I am actually using TWO pedals! Today's rig is my 1957 #Fender#DuoSonic through my #EHX#HolyGrail Nano (for reverb) and my #Boss#FBM1 (for overdrive) into my 1965 #Traynor#BassMate.

So what gives?!? I never use pedals! Well, to put it simply: I got bored and wanted some raunch. 😂

PS: that FBM1 sounds fantastic. So fat and full. I think I bought it new about 13 years ago for around $100 CAD. Remember the days when pedals cost $100 CAD (~70 USD)? They are starting to fade from my memory...but I am still holding on! 😆
