There is something so sweet to me about the personal touches of out of print cook books
You can tell this woman was extremely knowledgeable and loved both her family and her cooking

Partner got me a 1960s cookbook and it's just amazing! The writer was a cook to the Queen, but it's predominantly for aspirational housewives and includes recipes for both Irish beef stews, treacle pudding and menus for sailing parties and shooting parties! It's insane, there's so much alcohol included in basically every recipe and I love it. Such an amazing anniversary gift.
