So... I have this new concept for an AU, obviously for a WK AU...

Practically Martin is some magical being/cryptid from the forest who one day finds an abandoned human baby (Chris) and decides to keep it, why? Human babies are certainly adorable(?

I've been thinking about this concept since I watched “Princess Mononoke” again and saw the relationship between San and Moro, I just don't know what it would be Martin 🕴️, a harpy?, an elf?, a god?, no. I know, but I like the idea.

#brienne of tarth #asoiaf #mine.#u know literally just as i finished colouring this i found that some theater made an opera version of this batb #and they made belle's dress BLUE...which is a win for me and also not bc they made it light blue #but here it's supposed to be velvet.. idk if it comes across as velvet but that's the fabric of choice lol.#but im gonna ramble because i really like the concept... i love brienne in pearls!! i feel like pearls will be her jewellery of choice #and i talked abt this before in some post but i think tarth regalia would have a lot of pearls just bc they're an island #and i think they would export pearls alongside marble lol #i love brienne in silver and pearls BUT the reason why the flower thing on her cape is gold bc in the film #the pearl chain was actually a gift from the beast. so she's wearing jaime's gift. and i made the cape more silvery white (leaning on white #to resemble his cloak so it's like... jaime gifting her his white cloak..... hihihIHIHIhhihihihihi......#tbh i drew that concept before too BUT I JUST LIKE IT!!!!!!!! i want it to happen actually....please....thank u..#also the feathers in her hair is bc i want to accessorize her in a brienne way BUT ALSO supposed to be like the plumes knights wore in thei #helm. she's wearing trousers in the fit btw only the upper half of the design is based on beauty but the silhouette mimics beasts' more.#but anyway i really like this design!! bc it's a bit ott but also not in a way that seems out of character for her? idk LOL

The genius writing of Velvet and Veneer: reposting my thread from Twitter

After watching the movie for a second time, I have a much clearer view of Velvet and Veneer as antagonists and overall characters which is what I’ll be discussing today. Also spoilers for the movie obviously 🙃

Now for their main movement, they want to use Brozone musical talent to become rich and famous because they have no talent of their own. The interesting part about this movement is how both Velvet and Veneer go about this.

First Velvet, it’s clear that the fame and attention has gotten into her head that she’s willing to do anything to keep that even if that means torturing and potentially killing an innocent troll(s). She admits it herself she’d rather do that than actually work for her popularity

Now for Veneer, as iffy as I am with this term, he falls into a lot more morally grey area. He knows very well what he’s doing is wrong but continues to do it anyway, he enjoys the fame just as much as Vel does but, he questions if there’s another way to go about this. Deep down he doesn’t want to hurt anybody but, can’t bare to stand up to his sister cause he loves her that much

“It’s like I don’t even know who you are”

“Yeah you do, and you asked me to change anyway”

THIS right here sums up their relationship perfectly, not only did Vel try to change Ven but she changed herself. I truly don’t believe Vel is a bad sister nor person, she cares for her brother just as much as he does for her. But, like I said earlier the fame and popularity has gotten into her head so much that she doesn’t think about the consequences of her actions.

This is how you write an antagonist, this is how you get your audience to really think. You can’t just boil down them to “Velvet bad one, Veneer good one” they are layers to the two. Seeing both sides of “I’ll win at any cost” and “I want to win but, at what cost?”
