found footage is literarily the best horror genra if you get it right. nothing's better than being there with the people experiencing it, and it opens up so many ways to show what's going on that would be out of place in regular movies like narration and characters expressing their own thoughts without sounding weird
also it's the easiest way to make a movie on a tight budget so more people can make a movie they want without the need for money, and it's in fact better when they look like the were recorded on a 20 yo camera
also i love it the most and obviously my opinion is the correct one as the ancient ones foretold
