You know this is just a shower thought aka me thinking the whole unrequited rapple thing through but i fr just get it now, i never liked Rapple together simply because whenever i look at Ravens POV it just doesn’t make much sense, Apple? Yeah i can see it but raven? Never saw it
And now i get why, Apple simply isn’t ravens type. Raven has said what her type was and she mentioned how she wanted someone who’s clever, kind and is willing to let her think for herself. Obviously from what we can see this has never really been the case for Apple when it came down to their relationship, which is why i find it impossible for raven to even have a crush on Apple honestly because Raven herself made it clear NO WAY! Is she getting with a guy like Daring and Apple is practically the female version of Daring.
But i can also see why apple would crush on raven instead, For raven it seems impossible and pretty much out of character for her because i can’t see her crushing on someone like Apple at all? Hell she barely tolerated Apple at the beginning so obviously i don’t see her forming a romantic attraction, but i can see Apple pretty much, we don’t get a disclaimer on her TYPE as far as i am aware pls correct me if she did say smt i don’t very much recal.
But we can pretty much assume Apple is into someone who pretty much Fits the description of a Knight or so; Brave, gentle, Selfless i would assume that’s her type considering Apple seems to live in a Fairytale every other day and Raven pretty much adds up to these traits which is why i can See Apple Crushing on Raven and not Raven crushing on Apple.
It just seems impossible for Raven to feel attraction going by her TYPE and overall her relationship with Apple throughout in most cases it seemed raven was annoyed by Apple and had grown to love and care for her the same as her other friends.
And I’m ranting on unrequited rapple again, SIGHS i need to stop with this☹️

AYEEEEE RAVEN X CERISE MENTION
I feel like raven x cerise is such a good ship and so underrated.
I see dexven as endgame because loser bf x cool loser gf swifties are actually adorable.
But I like that unrequited raven x cerise (ravise? Ceraven? Rebelwolf? Queenhood?) has so much potential for angst.
Idk I find cerise character funny because all of her povs are like ‘I’m so different. No one could understand me. I’m too quiet to have any friends. I can’t show my true self’ and like ravens whole thing is being true to who you are and she has stated that she tried to be friends cerise on multiple occasions and yet cerise STILL thinks that no one liked her 😭😭
But anyways I do think that after cerise got over her y/n syndrome and her and raven became friends that Cerise def had a crush on her.
I think at the time Raven would have just been focusing on herself at the time because yk having millions of people hate you for not killing them would probably make her mental health shit.
And then when raven had time for relationships she has dexter and cerise had cedar
And rapple I’m indifferent to. I used to really dislike them but the fics are actually so good so I’m pretty neutral

I also just LOVEEEEEEEEEE dexven i made it clear on my blog but GOD! I just love the amount of love and devotion they have for one another, it's so wholesome and fluffy and i feel like both deserve to be with someone that loves them for THEM! and is supportive! And they honestly just deserve the world after being treated like outcasts, i also love how dexter understands raven so well because he's also familiar with the feeling of being a outcast🥹❤️
I would also like to wholeheartedly say that The first book was just 10/10 it was really the book where Shannon had explored dark themes, but i also like the wonderlandiful world because it gives us more on cedar and the wonderlandians!
I also kinda dislike the whole "Snow white is a villain" thing because it's practically the same as saying Apple is evil or a villain and i think it just takes a lot from both their characters, ok granted Snow doesn't have much but when you think about how the system and Grimms control has been going on for generations you can maybe take a few hints that Snow white is basically just a Version of what apple would have become(i also find it ridiculous to claim she's more evil than the EVIL queen simply because she was lacking on parenting skills, mind you! The evil queen was equally bad or even worse at being a parent)
I don't ship rapple mainly because the toxicity and all makes me so damn right uncomfortable when i imagine them in a fluffy relationship or such knowing that's not the case, i also just find their angst to be much more enjoyable? I see a unrequited love mainly because i always imagined it to be a fail romance where they both love each other but the attraction is at different levels, such as raven simply loving apple as a friend and Apple is just madly in love with her, i also think it would be such a slap in the face for apple and would be hurtful but let’s be fr, Rapples relationship is rooted in nothing but pain makes sense that even when it comes down to romance it’s hurtful somehow.
I actually didn't like Apple first(or so i thought) because of her selfishness, but really it was because her defenders/stans made it hard for me to genuinely fully like her took me some time but i absolutely fell in LOVE With her character, yeah she’s shitty,selfish and can be a bitch but she genuinely has such a valid reason to it! And she’s ambitious and can do some fucked up shit but damn i like it because she’s genuinely such a well written antagonist who’s driven by Trauma.
I am in Full support of Toxic bribelle cause let’s be fr everyone they would have some insane issues 🤞🏽

Me after explaining how unrequited rapple makes much more sense than mutual rapple simply because Raven throughout the Series had grown to love and care for Apple the same way she does for her other friends while Apple’s behavior and feelings kept growing into even more.
When it’s basically the “She fell first, But she fell harder trope” but instead Apple falls first and harder and raven never fell in the first place, ok let me go do my chores

I like rapple as a doomed relationship, i like rapple in a unrequited matter, I like rapple in a angsty Matter.
Simply because i love how in show and books they feed us 90% Angst and 10% fluff, I don’t ship rapple in a mutual romance because i personally think they don’t work and i find it hard to ship two characters if the feeling never feels like working in a mutual matter. BUT THATS ALSO WHY I LOVE THEM! they are so toxic, They aren’t meant for each other and it makes it so fucking angsty and delicious.
It just makes it 100% better when Apple starts crushing on her FUTURE enemy because GOD it’s evidential, it’s written everywhere, the whole “i want you to sign” vs “i don’t want to sign” is literally a metaphor of Apple wanting to be with raven while raven doesn’t want to be with her.
It just makes it better when apple has DREAMT of a future with raven, It just makes it better how Apple is always conflicted between destiny and her personal feelings when it comes down to raven but none of her other friends IT JUST MAKES IT BETTER!
And then there’s raven who Straight off gives Apple the same treatment she gives all her friends, it’s like How raven had saved Apple many of times she has done it to many of her friends as well(Mainly Maddie) add to ravens obvious liking towards dexter.
It makes it so better how every time Raven is just like “You are a great friend” APPLE IS JUST SUFFOCATING INSIDE!
