Hi, I just loved your post about Red's requests and I was thinking of something between Sam Winchester x reader with the song Red. I know the song is a bit sad, but I was thinking maybe it could have a happy ending. About the story being fluff or Angst, I think it could be a bit of both, but I trust you to write whatever your heart tells you.

RED — TAYLOR'S VERS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing [s] : sam winchester x reader
warning [s] : nothing big!! | guys my bbg.
a/n [s] : ty for the first red (taylor’s vers.) request!!
Tumblr media
You had met Sam on a murky night, after killing a nest of vampires, you and him connected closely. You fell in love with his subconscious charm and those beautiful eyes, but then his unpresidentied intelligence made you bloom with love. Those eyes that dragged you in deeper, pulling you around like a brand new car. He was a spark of excitement you needed, and you weren't leaving him until the end of your days.
However, Sam had sat you down, and told you that you had to leave for your own safety. You were confused and worried about what has been so bad, you had to leave your boyfriend of ten months alone as he went somewhere else. Losing him had killed you, and the dark grey feeling of cold bedsheets and clothes that fit you all too well. You distinctly remembered his smell as it lingered in your apartment, on his pillow, and his expensive shampoo and conditioner set in your shower that reminded you of him.
Whenever he came back on your doorstep, a bag across his shoulder and droopy eyes, you couldn't help yourself to take him in. Your arms wrapped around him and that spark enlightened once more. You had him memorized, every freckle and every scar, you could point out with your eyes shut and hands tied behind your back. When you had asked Sam where he had been, he argued back, telling you he didn't have an answer for you. You regretted letting him back into your life, and even through the door. However, the love you still held for him was extremely strong like two opposite magnet poles pulling you to him.
Then once more, he left you, left you with a kiss on your forehead and a tight hug to go off of.You were sent back to that downward spiral of missing him, forgetting, and still feeling that burning love inside of you. You had to move on from him, but how could you? All you could remember was him, how he touched you, how he left his permanent mark on you. The flashbacks from him crowded you, the echoes that you heard him speaking to you. The dreams that you fell into, pulling you deeper into missing him than you already were.
Loving him was dangerous, but as soon as he came back again, he had you trapped in his space. You whispered his name as he stood at your door, holding that damn bag, with a small smile on his face. He asked you to restart, to let him try again. And you did that, restarting your love even stronger than it was. He was brand new, and you wanted him more than anything. Whatever would happen next, you prayed it would be awhile till it started.

balcony talk
Thinking about how Tachibana’s 1 billion for Kiryu's life, and all the dinners, and showers are another nuclear hit on Majima's stubborn belief that Kiryu is straight.
But, you know… Talking about that time with Majima can lead Kiryu to realise that Tachibana might have had something for him. And that's all fun and games that open a whole new can of worms, oh boy.
And Kiryu didn't think about it all properly (didn’t think about it at all, really), of course he didn't. No processing of grief and trauma in this house yet. He just sits in a room, and has nightmares about it, our boy.
Maybe they were casually chatting, Majima was teasing Kiryu about the hot guy kinda courting him, but this, and just- the fact of talking about this part of his past overwhelmed Kiryu with the new thoughts, and he ran to the balcony to cool off and breathe. Majima followed, and brought the cigarettes.
He didn't expect his light teasing to turn into something so serious, and so he nuked both Kiryu and himself with the topic. Cheers.
But at least this can make Kiryu talk about those events, probably for the first time since it all happened. It was easy to brush away, since he passed all the stages of grief like a champ, really manly.
But the new perspective on how Tachibana might've felt makes thinking back inevitable and harder at the same time. It's so layered, complex. And Kiryu having this epiphany and talking about it tugs at Mama's insecurities and fears, but also… these are the Tachibana siblings.
This is that whole period of time, that story that Majima also never discussed with anyone. Because he, rightfully, knew nobody could understand it. But here Kiryu is. Here they both are. Starting the second shared pack of cigarettes, and not looking at the Millennium Tower.
And Kiryu casually says that he probably can still find the empty lot spot in the building, because to this day he sometimes dreams of running through the alleyways towards it. He can find it blindfolded, by this point (he's late every time in his dreams, too).
Kiryu can't really go there anymore, the place is gone. And it's weird, because it's not like he ever came back to that spot before, when it was there. Before prison, before everything.
But back then he always knew that he, at least, could. You know?
And Kiryu didn't even say goodbye? Or said much of anything? He just held dying Tachibana in the middle of the empty lot, while Makoto talked to him, and cried over him, because she had more rights to do all that than Kiryu did.
Because it was unfair, because they both did so much to get to this moment, and now it was slipping away, and Kiryu was too late, he couldn't stop the world grinding down on this, on something good that might've been.
At least Makoto is out there. Majima kept her safe, didn't he, Kiryu says (oh, g-d). He did. She can be out there, and find something good to have in her life again (Majima kept his Tachibana safe).
I bet it’s weird for Majima to think about Kiryu sitting there with Tachibanas dead body in his arms, while Makoto cried.
He was there for her, when Majima couldn’t be. She was not alone.
Majima is drowning in new context. After hearing that, after swallowing against the vertigo of the new perspective, he can even tell Kiryu about how Makoto is doing now, because. All of this is unpresidential. Reality shifting. The two of them aligned on this experience so long ago… And also, well. Kiryu deserves to know more.
He deserves to know that Makoto is safe, and that… even with that, it's still not the same. Everything.
I doubt that before this moment Majima really considered that Kiryu got hurt in that story as well. He knew it was very messy, and Dojima hunted Kiryu for sport, but he got out of it like a champ because of Kazama's help, didn't he?
This whole Tachibana connection is Kiryu's only, only Kiryu himself knows the extent of it. Like the whole Makoto connection is Majima's only. Only Nishiki and some real estate guys saw bits and pieces of their story. And Nishiki had his own arc, he barely even met Tachibana. Kiryu and Majima are both alone in knowing their own stories (Nishiki was really important to Kiryu in a different way, and for keeping his humanity in the end).
After that whole incident Kiryu went and dived head first in the yakuza life. He abandoned his hobbies and lots of his casual friends. All to become a strong and powerful yakuza. To not fail in protecting people he cares about anymore.
- It's very sad in retrospect, when in kiwami we learn what Kiryu did in the next 7 years after 0. He went into compensation even harder than it seemed. And then went to prison to do nothing but staring at the wall for 10 years.
And all that after he learned to live a civilian life! We saw that he grew up watching lieutenants, but then told Avano and Kuzoa he's not like them. It was such a contrast from the boy who screamed at dad that he wants to be respected, to be a part of dad's world.
He explicitly said it disgusts him now. And after that watching him rejoin was like the kick in the gut. "You can never escape this world".
Did Kiryu think being in the family will help him be on time next time something terrible happens? Because the thing is, he still didn't make it. He was late. Again. Yumi got hurt. Nishiki had to take the killing shot. But, see, Kiryu can still make it right, he can take penance. Because of course it's All His Fault.
– It all comes back to that fucking empty lot, to Tachibana. Who, as it turns out, maybe even loved him.
And Kiryu feels guilty and not guilty both, because despite everything he's still glad that throughout it all he met Majima.
Kiryu doesn't know what could've happened if he was there on time, if Tachibana survived, if everything was different and hurt less. But he does know that he likes that they are standing on the balcony now, smoking gazillion cigarettes in a row. Kiryu still likes being there with Majima.
(Yes, Majima. Kiryu is forreals. Majima's denial horse is getting obliterated, nearly complete defeat.)
Majima will need a solid moment to himself after this. Maybe a couple of days off, away. They both will need them, actually. It was a trip of a talk for both of them. Also they both smoked too much, and probably secretly cried, too, while looking pointedly away into the dark night (they leaned on the balcony railing facing in different directions, because of course).
– Honestly, I get watery eyes, thinking about Kiryu's Tachibana realisation, too. After Kiryu dived head first in queer culture, and started to realise how much he missed out on, didn't get to experience in life? It hits as hard as the news that Kazama killed his parents.
Tachibana taking him to dinners, counfinding his worries to Kiryu, trusting him with the most treasured parts of his life…
"So… did you care for him back?" – asks Majima, because he can't bring himself to say what he means directly. And Kiryu makes an incomprehensible noise, and asks "Did you care for her, too? Makoto." Majima inhales the smoke and holds it in until his lungs start to hurt before answering: “More than anything in the world.”
And it is true. She became the centre of his universe for some time.
“Never again,” he probably told himself, while continuing to wholeheartedly live for others only, neglecting himself.
– And Majima will spill his side of the story too. Right in the moment, after he heard everything. He understands now that Kiryu deserves to know it. It’s hard to get the words out, but Mfjima got to see this whole story clearer, got to know it in full with Kiryu’s perspective. Kiryu has the right to it too.
Kiryu put so much heart and effort into trying to bring Makoto to Tachibana, he deserves to know more about her.
Also with whom Majima will ever talk about all this? Again, there’s literally no one else who can get this, besides the two of them.
So Majima talks. Leaving out most of the details and awkwardly laughing when his own pov sounds a bit too pitiful. It is not about him, after all (it is). But the story itself makes things quite obvious.
Majima’s actions, what he actually did at any given moment is way more telling than what he was saying in the moment, or how he describes what happens years later.
– And yes, this is where Majima's "he's straight" horse in a hard hat got a major hit, and was taken down a notch. And Kiryu's stubborn attempts of going out on a limb and flirt suddenly became harder to ignore.
– Imagine, after the couple days Kiryu and Majima spent resting and re-evaluating things in the aftermath of the balcony talk, Kiryu is back again at Majima Construction. He's on a smoke break, still a bit distracted and absent minded, and he's patting himself looking for a lighter, a cigarette in his lips.
And Majima comes up to him and lights it. And they proceed to not talk at all, just stand there smoking together.
And Nishida, who was weary all these days, because boss was uncharacteristically quiet, and Kiryu was gone, is all "!!!!!!!"
Finally Nishida sees some progress. He needs a smoke too, now. Even though he doesn't smoke. Before this he saw them only standing near each other at a polite distance at best. There was at least 1 meter of suffering and consideration between them at all times. So Nishida is observing like a hawk. They're on 30 sm allowed distance now! That's a big step.
Musketeer: 30 sm isn't a very big step, isn't it? Nishida: 😑

The King’s Gift | Sandman Oneshot
Summary: After Morpheus decides to intervene in a human war to put an end to the disastrous repercussions, the leaders of the nation he saved send a very peculiar gift to the Lord of Dreams
Pairing: Morpheus x Gender Neutral reader
Requested: Yes, even though I changed the original idea a bit.
Tumblr media
It’s true that the Endless weren’t supposed to interfiere with mortal affairs but seeing as this “revolution” was almost resulting in genocide, Dream could not just sit back and watch this horrors unfold. So, against the rules, he interfiered and with that, he also saved millions of lives.
He came back to the Dreaming without thinking too much of it, but as he encountered his loyal librarian Lucienne, something felt quite strange, he could tell she was biting her tongue, not daring to say something.
“What is it, Lucienne?” He asked, making his right hand to clear her throat.
“Something came for you, sir. It’s a gift from the people you saved”
Without another word, Morpheus demanded to see this particular gift that had his people on edge, whispering on the low. Everyone would step aside, for the King of The Dreaming to take a look at you, you stood there completely still, following his gaze as he inspected your figure, even when you were using some sort of cape, but he could see your flat chest, even though you had feminine features and the appearance of smooth porcelain skin; you didn’t look like an organic being, and even then you were alive.
“Hello, Lord of Dreams” you spoke.
“There’s nothing to see here, go on” he said, needing some time with you alone to understand better what you were. “What are you?”
“A gift, I was made for you, therefore, I now belong to you”
You didn’t have much consciousness, just enough to be consider a living and functional, after observing you for quite some time he realize you were just made to accompany him, and to follow his every command. You would always stay beside him, unless he commanded otherwise, you truly had no free will, nor were you actually interested in having it, simply because you didn’t understand what it was.
“They’re quite extraordinary” Morpheus said to Lucienne while they were looking in the books for some sort of information about beings like you. “It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen”. He had asked you to leave and explore the kingdom for him to conduct his research.
That was until Mervyn came rushing into the library like a maniac, struggling to breathe regularly
“MY LORD, MY LORD!” Morpheus and Lucienne looked up.
“Mervyn? Calm down, what’s the matter?” Lucienne asked.
“Y/N fell! They’re completely rigid!” They followed Mervyn to the gardens of Cain and Abel, who were arguing, as per usual. Bickering over who was at fault for making you fall.
“You were in turn!”
“No! You were” Morpheus remained unfazed.
“Enough” he demanded firmly, making both bothers to quiver in fear and lightly nudge on each other’s shoulders.
You were on the floor, different spots of your skin were lifted, showing your shiny interior. Your true skin was made out of pure diamond and the surface was crackled softly.
Your solid skin was shining under the sunlight, the surface was cold but smooth, it was something utterly unpresidential.
Morpheus put his hand over one of the cracks and using his powers he fixed your fissures, when you were perfectly intact again your eyes opened softly.
“Are you okay Y/N?” You nodded.
“My apologies, I think my curiosity got the best of me” Morpheus smiled softly, as he realized you were softly discovering your free will.
“You have nothing to be sorry for Y/N. I can mend your wounds when needed”.
“Thank you, my lord”

Civil War history is giving me whiplash. I read a bit of an ebook about 1860 Washington, and then listened to the 1840s chapter of my commute audiobook, and the contrast between James Buchanan and Zachary Taylor is wild.
James Buchanan (1860): (crying) Maybe if I ignore it people will forget about seceding? It's not like there's anything I can do to stop this.
Zachary Taylor (1850): (using "unpresidential language") IF YOU GUYS SECEDE I WILL PERSONALLY LEAD AN ARMY TO TAKE OVER YOUR STATE AND HANG YOU AS TRAITORS!
It gets even wilder when you consider that in 1850, Taylor's former son-in-law Jefferson Davis was already heading secessionist movements. The Civil War had a very real chance of being a family feud, had history gone a bit differently. Frankly, the South is lucky that Taylor died when he did (and it's no wonder that there were conspiracy theories that he was poisoned).

Everything in reality is either unpresidential or presidential.

I was brainwashed during college into leaning left, mostly thanks to the media's portrayal of Trump. I never fully jumped onto the Democrat platform - I'm a Christian and remained pro-life even during this phase, and socialism never really appealed to me - but I definitely hated Trump because of the media and because of his own tweets that constantly gave people ammunition to use against him and made him seem "unpresidential".
The COVID lockdowns changed all of that - I voted in the Democratic primary in IL at the very start because "that way, at least I have options" even though Biden was basically confirmed as the nominee already, and then swung way to the right thanks to Pritzker (whom I had voted for) and his pandemic policies compared to other states. I went libertarian for a time but never fully ancap and I'm still somewhere in the libright quadrant now.
This makes me so angry because it highlights the thing I hate the most about this country right now, which is the lying propagandist media. It was bad enough when they were just spinning things, but now they're just outright lying and people like you are being led to support actual awful people and policies because of it.
I'm glad you were able to see through their bullshit and learn to make up your own mind about things. Thanks for sharing.

In the face of Trump having a meal with a literal Nazi and the Republicans and their massive propaganda machine not giving a shit, I am forcibly reminded of the time the entire Fox network lost their _tiny little minds_ when Obama _dared_ to *checks notes* ...wear a brown suit? Claiming it was 'unpresidential' and _that_ was their complaint! Or... put mustard on a hot dog? Because something-something out of touch with the working class since it wasn't the literal cheapest brand?

By Kevin Robillard, Daniel Marans, Travis Waldron and Liz Skalka
Huffington Post
Aug 2, 2022
As midterm election season rolls on, primaries in Arizona, Missouri, Michigan and Washington state represent the latest chapter in the ideological battle among Democrats and yet another test of former President Donald Trump’s grip on the Republican Party.
Tuesday’s races include several that could have a major impact on the battle for Congress, including one in a swing House seat in Michigan and another to determine who will face Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) in a crucial Senate contest.
And two races in Arizona could eventually have a major impact on the 2024 presidential election, with devoted election deniers up for the GOP nominations for both governor and secretary of state.
Even by the outré standards of GOP primaries this cycle, the battle for the Republican nomination in Missouri has been chaotic, wacky and often disturbing. Every candidate with a chance has worked overtime to ingratiate themselves to Trump, hiring his former advisers and singing his praises relentlessly.
One candidate, Rep. Billy Long, laid out a plan to make Trump president again by convincing President Joe Biden to appoint him as vice president and has handed out fake $45 bills with Trump’s face on them. Another, gun-toting lawyer Mark McCloskey, falsely implied a Vanilla Ice performance at a county fair was in support of his campaign. Another, Rep. Vicky Hartzler, was apparently shunned by Trump for saying his behavior on Jan. 6, 2021, was “unpresidential,” even though she voted against certifying the election.
Ultimately, Trump’s endorsement came down to two men: former Gov. Eric Greitens and state Attorney General Eric Schmitt. Greitens, in a normal political era, would be persona non grata: He has been credibly accused of sexual and domestic abuse. He angled aggressively for Trump’s endorsement, hiring Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, as a top aide. Schmitt, by contrast, is a run-of-mill Republican ― something that, at this point, does mean embracing Trump’s lies about the 2020 election.
Republican donors in Missouri, fearing Greitens could cost them a seat, have funded a super PAC called Show Me Values PAC that has spent $6 million on ads attacking Greitens, including one in which a female narrator reads aloud from an affidavit filed by Greitens’ ex-wife.
youtube
That’s led to a turnaround in the polls: While Greitens has led for most of the race, most recent surveys show Schmitt pulling into the lead. The only remaining variable was Trump’s endorsement. And on Monday night, he delivered it.
“I trust the Great People of Missouri, on this one, to make up their own minds, much as they did when they gave me landslides victories in the 2016 and 2020 Elections, and I am therefore proud to announce that ERIC has my Complete and Total Endorsement!,” he wrote.
Both Erics claimed the endorsement.
While Missouri is solidly red at this point, Democrats do have a contested primary of their own. The race pits Lucas Kunce, a Marine veteran and antitrust expert who is running a class-focused progressive campaign, against Trudy Busch Valentine, an heiress to the beer fortune who has run as a more mainstream Democrat.
Kunce, with his broadsides against corporate consolidation, willingness to deploy salty language and some big-name endorsements ― including from Missouri native and Mad Men star Jon Hamm and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) ― has received far more media attention. But Busch Valentine has a familiar last name and loaned her campaign $3 million to deploy television ads. There’s been only sporadic polling in the race, but the campaigns expect a tight contest.

Can you write a fic where Sodapop comforts the reader after something really bad happens to her and she doesn't know how to cope so he helps her with that?
pace like a ghost.
Tumblr media
pairing [s]: sodapop curtis x reader
warning [s] : mentions of panic attacks, unable to breathe, unidentified ‘incident’
a/n [s] : ty 4 the request. !! this is bad i hate it sm sorry!!
Tumblr media
After the unpresidentied incident, it had left you in the shell of your original body. Frankly, you felt years away constantly in your head. Sodapop tried to pull you back in; doing this you had loved since forever, but it still felt hard to grasp the idea of being your original self. You sit on the Curtis’ coach, legs tugged up to your chest, as it feels like an elephant had walked in and sat on your chest.
Your nails are bitten away as you look around the room, as it seems like it's spinning at a million miles per second. You're attempting to catch your breath, but it feels impossible. Sodapop walks in the door a second later, dropping his bag and hat on the floor and races towards you.
“Hey, hey, honey. Baby, cmon, breathe.” You look up at him, as his hand touches your face to try and keep staring into his eyes. Sodapop attempts to help you, but he seems more worried than anything. “Look at me. Keep staring. Breathe baby, cmon.”
His hand holds onto yours, and you start to feel how your chest pushes up and down with each sob. You cry his name and hold onto him, attempting to gather yourself. “Good, breathe.” In a couple minutes, you had gathered your breath, your head not feeling as itchy as you remembered.
“It's okay, you're okay. I know it's hard.”
Sodapop hugs you in his arms, kissing a small peck against your cheek. You smile and take it his warmth, wiping the tears that had fallen from your face.

Prompt: Create a movie concept about the list of things the secret service cannot let the president do. Take inspiration from Skippy's list.
Title: The President's Playbook
Tagline: The most powerful office in the world. The most ridiculous rules to keep it that way.
Logline: A rookie Secret Service agent, Sarah Cooper, struggles to keep the President out of trouble as she grapples with a hilarious and highly classified list - "The Unpresidential Do Not Do's" - filled with bizarre rules designed to protect the President's image (and sometimes, the world) from his impulsive whims.
Characters:
Sarah Cooper (30s): A by-the-book Secret Service agent with a dry wit and a growing sense of disbelief. She's assigned to the President and quickly discovers the "Unpresidential Do Not Do's" list.
President William "Bill" Harrison (60s): A charismatic but impulsive leader with a penchant for breaking protocol and a love of junk food. He chafes under the restrictions of the list, but secretly respects Sarah's dedication.
Agent Mike Ramirez (40s): Sarah's seasoned partner, a master of improvisation and the unofficial keeper of the "Unpresidential Do Not Do's" list. He trains Sarah in the finer points of presidential wrangling.
Vice President Patel (50s): The ever-patient and slightly exasperated Vice President, longing for the day he can take over the Oval Office (without the ridiculous restrictions).
Plot Summary:
Sarah Cooper, a by-the-book Secret Service agent, is assigned to the detail of President William "Bill" Harrison. President Harrison is a popular but impulsive leader, known for making headlines (not always positive ones). Sarah's world is turned upside down when she's introduced to a classified document – "The Unpresidential Do Not Do's" - a long and ever-growing list of bizarre rules designed to prevent the President from embarrassing himself or endangering national security.
The list is a compilation of lessons learned the hard way, from past presidents' escapades. Some items are logical – "#1 Do not attempt to pilot Air Force One," "#5 Do not challenge foreign dignitaries to arm wrestling matches." Others are more unexpected – "#21 Do not attempt to recreate childhood magic tricks during state dinners," "#34 Do not declare war during a Twitter rant."
Sarah becomes adept at anticipating the President's impulsive behavior, using the list as a hilarious and sometimes frustrating roadmap. She finds herself confiscating the President's stash of candy bars before a crucial summit ("#12 Sugar crash are to be avoided at all costs"), preventing him from joining a celebrity dance challenge (rule #25), and even stopping him from attempting to sing karaoke with a visiting ambassador (rule #2).
Through these mishaps, Sarah and the President develop a grudging respect for each other. She learns to appreciate the President's charisma and genuine desire to connect with people, while he learns the importance of self-control and the consequences of his actions.
The climax involves a hilarious international incident where the President, fueled by competitive spirit and a bad case of FOMO (fear of missing out), attempts to organise a high-stakes game of "Duck, Duck, Goose" with a group of world leaders. Sarah, with the help of Agent Ramirez and a strategically placed banana peel, manages to prevent a diplomatic meltdown (and a potential global conflict). The debacle prompts Ramirez to quip "Welp, we're gonna have to add a new rule."
Themes:
The importance of balance between leadership and responsibility.
The unsung heroes who keep the wheels of government turning (even when the wheels threaten to fall off).
Finding humor in the absurdity of political life.
Humor:
The film's humor comes from the outrageous scenarios Sarah finds herself in, all stemming from the President's impulsive behavior and the increasingly ridiculous items on the "Unpresidential Do Not Do's" list. Imagine a high-speed chase through the White House gardens to stop the President from joining a rogue frisbee game with the bomb squad dogs (rule #14).
Ending:
President Harrison, having learned a valuable lesson about self-control, makes a surprise announcement – he's endorsing the creation of a "Vice-Presidential Do Not Do's" list, much to the relief of Vice President Patel. Sarah, now a seasoned veteran of presidential wrangling, is ready to face whatever bizarre situations the future holds, all thanks to the ever-growing and completely classified "Unpresidential Do Not Do's" list.
Notes: I do not usually edit the concept, but this one warranted a little TLC. Rule numbers were added by me, as was Ramirez's line about a new rule.
