pinned post
Tumblr media
(my previous pinned post was getting a little old, so i thought i’d spice it up a little.)
hey! i’m hari- pronounced ha-ree. if you pronounce it as ‘hairy’ i’ll maul you
i’m 17 yrs old, and hang around unova. um. here’s me. and my pokemon.
Tumblr media
Maru is my ace, and very first pokemon. I’ve had her for more than.. about 14 years. He’s never left my side, and is very caring to those she loves. He also loves shiny things- to the point that when she evolved with all the things she’s collected in his wax, they carried to his evolution! Maru loves battling, and is very strong to boot. She has a track record for taking on foes almost twice his level- and doing so trilling happily. How could you not love her? [she/he, around level 57]
Mal, long story short, is a shithead. fuck them. Affectionately. They’re missing one eye, but loooves not only going into electronics, but creating them. They created their own main inhabitant- A prosthetic arm, which makes them electric/steel type. A smartass who loves causing trouble, AND steals my phone (more on that later). I care for them, though, and they care for me. I guess that counts for something. [they/them (rotoms are genderless lmao), around level 55]
Miss Tye is very temperamental, but is very loyal and protective of those she loves (especially Charm.) Her and her ‘sister’, Charm, stowed away on a ship from Galar, and appeared in Unova. She’s very sweet when she has a reason to be, but pretty easy to anger. She hits, and hits hard in battle, so she’s quite the force to be reckoned with. [she/her, around level 55]
Charm had appeared with Miss Tye, and was a milcery at the time. She had wanted to evolve for so long, so much so she kept her bow sweet, even after it broke in half. I gave her a berry sweet, but the bow sweet kept with her! Her cream is of salt and mint (two of my favs!!). Apparently, she wanted to evolve like so, so she could be blue, like her ‘sister,’ Tye. She is not much of a battler, so If I get a new pokemon, They may be on my team. Charm prefers to be a support in double battles, and she’s very good at it. [she/her, around level 30]
Locket just.. appeared in my house? I was on vacation, and upon coming back, we had an egg. I didn’t expect him to be a shiny when he hatched, but I love him very much!! I use him when I come across low-level trainers that challenge me to a battle. Otherwise, it would be no fun. [he/him, around level 10]
Arom is the only pokemon I’ve received as a gift- I got her as an applin from my (girl)friend, Maxie. She often competes with charm as to who smells better. A friend-of-a-friend sent me the Dragon Cheer TM, so I can evolve her, but I think I’ll wait a bit. [she/her, around level 45]
Tumblr media
There’s a few pokemon that appear that I haven’t caught- and they don’t want to be caught. They stick around. I like them.
Jackie is a gengar, and he’s one of the owners of the little house I reside in. Apparently, him and Rasp used to be rivals ‘back in the day’ (126 old ass…) but now be spends his time being lazy (I say this affectionately), bothering rasp (I’m convinced they’re married in some weird way), or just fucking around. He’s cool. Would give good hugs if he wasn’t. Yknow. Part poison type. [he/him]
Rasp is a trevenant, and he’s the second owner of where I stay. I would say he’s like a mother, if he wasn’t a 126 year old gay tree. Very galarian (yuck/j). I do love him a lot, as I have him to thank for teaching me how to cook. (Arc knows what I’d be doing if I didn’t have a hobby.) He keeps all the shitheads living here from burning the damn house down, and hell, if that isn’t an achievement, I dunno what is. [he/him]
Sev is a Dhelmise- arc knows how old he is at this point- and he often travels from unova to alola to paldea, and more. I don’t have much to say about him, considering that I don’t see him often (I mean, he’s in unova like.. 1/4 of the time, anyways. and it’s not like he’s straying away from the sea.) [he/him (why are there so many gay old men)]
Tumblr media
there’s gonna be a few other bloggers you see me interact with a lot so, it may be helpful to give a small introduction. i guess.
by the by, I’d recommend checking them out. not JUST because they’re cool and awesome and deserve love, but because it’s possible for pronouns to change. gender is a tricky thing, no?
@mmaxie-musings is my. um. girlfriend. She openly states that she’s a psychic, so I think mentioning it here is okay. met her in the woods, because her ditto wandered off into the woods I live in. the rest is history, as they say! [she/her]
@pkmntrainertrix and @uva-academy-vio are my fellow ghostboys!!! first people I met on this site. we’re weird, have odd relations with gender, but boy is close enough, and we like ghosts. what more could you want in a friend group? [it/he for trix, and he/him for vio!!]
@itshaunting-pkmn is my brother (in spirit. not by blood, but we call eachother brothers), and we met in some pkmn center some time ago, because he got big ol eyes at Maru and started awkwardly asking me questions. Aaaand then it turned out he’s also on rotomblr. and then we just. got closer! [he/him]
@alamos-garden-lover is a darkrai. yeah, i’m not kidding. I didn’t believe that at first either, but you kinda start to after you, yknow, send an ask his way asking for a nightmare because I can’t sleep anyways? ..yeah. but really, he’s very sweet, even if she’s a bit anti-social. i went to alamos to see her once, and I truly can’t wait to go back to see my dad agai- to see DARKRAI again. she’s not my dad and I don’t see him as my dad. totally. [he/she]
@aco-knight is the resident Creature (trix coming in a close second on the Creature scale), and it’s just a little bastard. other honorary non-blood-related sibling, because apparently darkrai’s just. Mentally adopted me (i’m not complaining) and I got aco as part of the little package deal (also not complaining). I saw ‘em when I traveled to paldea, but they just. Fuck around and teleport sometimes. It does that. It does a lot of things, get used to it. [they/it]
Tumblr media
so, uh, yeah! i know that was a lot, but i guess it’s better to have info here, in case you need it.
my Rotom REGULARLY steals my phone, and refuses to post on their own. So, their tag for posting is “MAL’Z POSTZ”
i. am nnnooooot the best when it comes to interacting with others, so be a little patient! i’m just a fan of ghost types and battling, nothing too special about me.
Because I’m a normal human. Totally.
Tumblr media
CURRENT EVENT: none
//ooc in readmore!
hey! finally redid the pinned, because this is waaay more organized. but, the ooc? lol. I’m just gonna copy and paste what I had. blehhhh :P
(oh and, P.S. - in case you forgot, the runner of this blog is @aimless-aimz !!! hi!! that’s me!!!!! i don’t bite, and I have a few interests other than pokemon, but you could find more pkmn art on my blog rather than this one.)
More will be revealed about hari and his team as time goes on!! please interact if ur a pokeblogger!!!! try to stay in character with this guy ok? lol
ooc storytelling will be tagged "hari's stories"!! they are often from askgames, but PLEASE request some if you ever get a prompt idea for this guy... you could ask about his past, present, and sometimes future!!
the current events each have tags for things related to their story! So far, we have the events “mourn the nineteenth”, “galarian imports”, “charm evolves”, “trip to alamos”, “unexpected egg”, “rebirth on the 26th”, "entombed event", and "Paldea trip". look at the tag to learn more!
there’s a tag for more serious stuff: that’s tagged as “lore”. Another lore heavy tag is “Forlorn presence”.
ofc, no generally unpleasant people, you get the drill. please send asks!!! :)
magic anons are on, too. please send asks!!!!!! this blog’s activity is mainly correlated to its interaction :)
also, small tidbit- you can do pelliper mail, but don't deliver a dusk stone. maru is gonna stay a lampent for a while because hari cant find one. so. when the time comes she'll evolve, but. yeah
..wow, you really read all this? that’s cool. um. thanks! the interaction and enthusiasm is appreciated a lot :]c

Team Rocket HQ in the anime has a bizarre history.
First off, in the early days there was no firm, consistent direction given as to how it should look like, and so in “It’s Mr. Mime Time”, “Showdown at the Poke-Corral”, and the movie Mewtwo Strikes Back, it looks different even when it’s supposed to be the same building.
Tumblr media
After Mewtwo destroys it, Giovanni relocates to a vacation resort property he owns until a new HQ is constructed in the same area. We see it in the episode “Dues and Don’ts”, and its design is clearly a smaller variation on the design of the original HQ shown in “It’s Mr. Mime Time”, which I take as meaning to suggest that it was the “correct” design and thus it was both renditions of the scene where Mewtwo destroys the building that got its look all wrong.
Tumblr media
However, in the second episode of the Advanced Generation series we suddenly see that Giovanni appears to be in some sort of hotel again, suggesting that something is happening with Team Rocket HQ. And sure enough, come the Battle Frontier arc we see that the HQ near Viridian City has been abandoned in favor of a new, larger HQ in a rocky cliffside area.
Tumblr media
Given how bigger and more advanced it appears, I suspect that it began construction after Mewtwo’s destruction of the original HQ, and that the smaller replacement one was just a temporary measure until the real new HQ was completed. This HQ is used for the remainder of the anime, so you would think no more weirdness happened. But you would be wrong.
Tumblr media
In Best Wishes, the HQ has been redesigned! The building that was there before appears to have been firmly encased inside a high-tech steel tower, making it look like some kind of military fortress...which, given the interior redesign and Giovanni’s current choice of outfit, is precisely the intent. The last we see of it at the end of the series, it still looks the same. In the XY, Sun & Moon and Journeys series, we only see inside and never outside. But now, in the penultimate episode of the Aim to Be a Pokemon Master miniseries, we see it again and...
Tumblr media
It’s right back to its old appearance! I guess after Giovanni’s bid for conquest in Unova failed, he had all of the protective military steel plating torn down while the TRio was off in Kalos.

A really dumb idea I had:
Infinity:
A manga series in the Pokémon world, kind of like JoJo. It details the events of the games, but in a world where instead of Pokémon, people just. Have access to Infinity energy directly. The parts are:
Part 1: Red Green Blue
A tale of a ninja boy studying to become a great ninja. Probably the weakest story wise. Based on gen 1.
Part 2: Golden Days
2 years after the protagonist's journey, a young man ventures to explore the region he calls home, making friends and enemies along the way. The first to follow the Infinity formula. Based on gen 2.
Part 3: Flaming Oceans
A young man explores Hoenn on a vacation, oblivious to the lurking horror of the legendary beings awaiting him. Based on gen 3.
Part 4: Temporal Spatial Madness
A general election is taking place in Sinnoh, and a young man seeks to win it. On his campaign trail, he stumbles across a major conspiracy to overthrow the world order as we know it. Probably the most groundbreaking so far. Based on gen 4.
Special Saga: Will of God
A young man is sent to the ancient past by the Lord Arceus for unknown purposes. While dealing with the politics and mysterious powers of the land of Hisui, what awaits him? Based on Legends Arceus.
Part 5: Ideal Truth
It's Unova! A young man goes out on a journey of self discovery with his friends, and meets a man with a unique power: a complete lack of Infinity Energy. Along his path, he deals with those who seek to wipe out Infinity Energy altogether. Based on gen 5.
Special Saga 2: Shades of Gray
Two years after the Team Plasma incident, a new hero shows up in the wreckage. What world will he shape? What world has been shaped already? Based on BW2.
Part 6: Deadly Daily Stroll
In the beautiful region of Kalos, a new power awakens. What is this "Mega evolution"? Who are these people who desire eternal beauty? And what new and old faces will we meet this time? Definitely a game changer for the series, as it introduces arc gimmicks into the main series(they EXISTED in Special Saga 1, but not in mainline.)Based on Gen 6.
Part 7: Arrows of Sun and Moon
On the Alolan Isles, a young man seeks to become a master archer, despite his lack of skill. As he hones his skills, the forms of Z moves come into play. How will this power propel his growth? My second favorite idea. Based on gen 7.
Part 8: Warrior of Heaven and Hell
A young Galarian boy is sent on a journey by the strongest fighter in the region. Moreover, the power of "Dynamax", increasing one's size and strength, is becoming ubiquitous. What will this mean for the world? Probably my least favourite idea, but I still like it. Based on gen 8.
Part 9: Futurama
A teenager from Kanto moves to Paldea to go to the prestigious Uva Academy. On his way, however, he notices a mysterious injured woman at the beach, revealing metal and wires from her injuries. Moreover, he soon learns the power of "Terastal", crystallizing oneself to increase one's power. What is the true meaning of this phenomenon? What does it have to do with the woman at the beach? Who is she? And what does all this have to do with the mysterious Area Zero of Paldea? My personal favorite, and if I make specific region posts, the one I'm doing first. Based on Gen 9.
Takeaway: I am weird. Idk like/reblog if you want me to go further in depth on what I think any one part would be like. Have a wonderful day human

Don't Bet on It - Emmet/Grimsley
It has been a hot minute since we've written any fanfiction so forgive us for our rustiness, but we've been lowkey obsessed w/ this pairing for a couple of months now.
Anyway, this fic is basically long-form acquaintances to enemies to rivals to friends to lovers arc lol.
Read it on AO3 as well (All Aboard!)
Chapter 1: Sharpedo I
“It pursues its prey at speeds of 75 mph and finishes them off with fangs that can crush iron. It is known as the bully of the sea.”
-Pokédex Entry #265 Pkmn Sun
The Alolan air was more than a bit stifling to the twin Subway Bosses of Unova as they saluted Elesa farewell outside her agency’s office.
She had warned them that they needed to pack lighter, but the twins had assured her that they would be fine. After all, on their Battle Subway, they had plenty of close calls with opposing fire pokemon and their flamethrowers, flame bursts, flame wheels, flare blitzes, fire blasts, blast burns, lava plumes, overheats—
But the subway cars were air-conditioned and the battles quickly decided.
Alola was not like their precious subway.
Alola was beautiful… but it was hot.
Even without their official work uniforms, it became apparent to both that they had severely underestimated the heat index… and now were sweltering with their poor choices in apparel.
Rolling up his sleeves, Ingo glanced over to Emmet, who was still trying (and failing) to keep up a pleasant smile even with the merciless sun beating down their necks.
“Emmet, I am afraid we may be at risk for sunstroke if we continue down this track. Shall we make an early detour for appropriate apparel? I know we scheduled shopping for later this week, but—”
“Yes! Let us depart right away!” Emmet could not wait for Ingo to finish, already quickly beginning to flag down a taxi.
Alola was entirely different from Unova, despite being a close neighbor to their home region. They had challengers from there, of course, and the regional Pokémon they brought with them were always intriguing. Emmet could still clearly recall seeing the most interesting-looking Muk cross his Doubles Train. How exciting!
They knew they had to visit at least once.
So, when Elesa invited them to stay with her in Alola while she was doing her summer modeling there, they took the offer.
It’s not like they could go to work when they were temporarily banned from Gear Station anyway.
To say Ingo and Emmet loved their job would be an understatement. It was the best of both of their interests. Even the stacks of paperwork and occasional unruly passengers couldn’t deter them from their career enjoyment.
But, while they might take the odd holiday off here and there, the Nimbasa City audit system had admonished them for not taking any substantial vacation days during their years working at Gear Station.
And so they were here in Alola on forced PTO leave. For a month.
They would need sunscreen. And lots of it.
As they stepped into the frigid air of the shop, the twins let out a simultaneous sigh of relief. Besides trains, surely air conditioning was mankind’s greatest invention.
The clerk at the front of the store welcomed them with a chipper Alola, unable to hold back a small giggle at the display.
They greeted her back, before digging through the racks.
Six pairs of tropical shirts and khaki shorts, 10 bottles of SPF 100, and two pairs of sunglasses later, the twins decided they were sufficiently stocked for the moment.
Tucking his sunglasses into his collar, Emmet turned to Ingo who was busy smoothing down his new red floral-patterned shirt free of wrinkles.
He let out a chuckle under his breath. With the sunglasses now on Ingo’s face alongside his signature frown, he would be even harder for strangers to read.
“Shall we start making our way to the Pokémon League? The clerk said our other purchases would be sent ahead to the hotel. No more detours required.”
Emmet was positively shaking in excitement from the thought. He had wanted to visit Alola primarily for the interesting combinations their Pokémon were sure to face in battle.
“Ah… I had actually planned on visiting the observatory on Mount Hokulani today. I’m sorry, Emmet.”
Emmet blinked.
Ingo… wanted to visit an observatory? He could not recall that being one of Ingo’s interests before. Because they shared the same interests and it certainly wasn’t one of Emmet’s interests.
“An observatory? Where is that?”
“It is on the same island as the League— Ula’ula— but on a different mountaintop. It should be quite fun.”
Emmet’s smile twitched, “Your idea of fun seems verrrrry boring… If we are visiting the same island together, we should also visit the same places on the island together. You are sure you do not want to visit the League instead?”
Ingo tilted his head, “I am quite sure. But, I would be more than happy to visit the League with you at a later date.”
Emmet was at a loss for words and with those stupid sunglasses blocking his brother’s eyes he could not even look for the joke he wanted to see clearly reflected in them.
He was supposed to know Ingo. They were the Subway Bosses.
“But… we are supposed to go together… ”
The sentiment was barely a whisper, but Ingo managed to catch it and the unspoken sentiment behind those few words. He pushed his sunglasses to rest on his forehead, his gaze soft and speech deliberate as he placed a reassuring hand on his brother’s shoulder.
“We are a perfect two-car train, Emmet. Our combination couldn’t be better. But we cannot always travel the same tracks. It is okay if we become uncoupled to try new things. And we can share and learn from those different experiences once we reach our final destination for the day—we share the same home station after all.”
Ingo squeezes his shoulder, the edges of his lips turning up in his best attempt at a smile.
Emmet pouts for a few long moments but acquiesces under his brother’s amusing grimace of a smile. His brother was always trying his best and he would too.
“I will go check out the League instead. You can enjoy the observatory. I will see you at the hotel once we are both finished.”
Emmet said that but still insisted on trekking up the mountain to the observatory with Ingo before parting ways.
Even when he had built himself up to saluting his brother goodbye, it was still difficult to not sync up with his brother as he entered the building and even harder not to dash in after him. The about-face turn was grueling on his nerves along with the first hundred steps back down the mountain.
“I am Emmet. I just need a fun few battles to get my mind off things. We are still Ingo and Emmet. We are still Subway Bosses. And I am Emmet. He is going to his Singles Line and I am going to my Doubles Line. We will meet up after. I am Emmet. I can do this.”
Psyching himself up was easier when put into those familiar terms.
He had done this before, hadn’t he?
He was just running a station with his brother instead of being on vacation. But the formula was the same. He was going to battle separately from Ingo and then he would meet up with him later. A version of the same. And then they would battle together later.
And seeing a local trainer on the upcoming slope proved the perfect distraction from any wayward thoughts to that analogy.
He was Emmet. He was a Subway Boss.
His eyes met the other trainer and they both reached for their first Pokéballs.
---------
Twelve matches down the mountain later, and somewhere along the way Emmet had gotten recognized by a trainer or two…
And now he somehow has a crowd of twenty asking for his autograph and a selfie with him. And many many mannnnny questions about the Battle Subway—  easy to answer— and himself— …much less easy to answer.
Emmet enjoyed his privacy as much as the next person and although he was used to the small celebrity status being a Subway Boss brought, he still did not talk to the press about himself and his personal life. He was a Subway Boss! He was famous because of his job so they should just ask about that. But—
“Are you here with your brother, Ingo? Where is he? Can I get a selfie with him too?”
“Why’d you come to Alola? Do you visit often? How long are you staying?”
“You should try the malasadas! Ooh, you should totally let me show you around!”
Emmet was starting to feel… uncomfortably overwhelmed.
He enjoyed talking with fans, really! But usually, there were not so many surrounding him all at once and he had Ingo there with him and—
“Ingo and I are on vacation!”
The onslaught of questions came to an abrupt stop from Emmet’s work voice. And while his didn’t have the same decibel range as his brother’s, it still carried sharp authority.
In a quieter tone, he continued, “We are taking time off work. I am going to visit the Pokémon League today. Ingo is busy visiting other tourist attractions. Because we are tourists. On holiday.”
Some of the trainers looked a bit chagrin at the reminder that Emmet was off the clock, though others still looked like they wanted to continue their impromptu inquisition.
Still, Emmet pressed onwards.
“It was great to meet you all, but I must press onwards towards my current destination. Thank you for understanding.”
Sharply moving into his point and call pose, he called out his signature “All Abooooooaaard!” to further appease the small crowd of fans, before swiftly making his way down the rest of the mountain.
---------
Emmet’s brow twitched as he looked down at his Xtransiever. He really did not get good signal here in Alola.
He had been trying to pull up the map of the island to see how close the League was, but his GPS seemed confused as to where he was. Emmet was confused as to where he was too.
Sighing softly, he tucked around towards a small alcove beach to think. There had been a Pokémon Center close by, hadn’t there? Maybe he could…
His thought was interrupted by the sound of a sharp whistle and a crash of a wave.
Or Emmet thought it had been a wave. Instead, it had been a Mantine trying to beach itself… and a slim passenger stepping off onto the land before bidding the Pokémon goodbye.
Huh… his hair looked oddly familiar. The slicked back sides reminded him of a pair of Liepard whiskers and— no. Couldn’t be. Right?
But as the man finally turned away from the retreating Mantine, Emmet was sure of it.
“Grimsley? ”
Grimsley turns slowly towards him, taking him in leisurely before his poker face is broken only by a look of honest surprise in his eyes.
“Subway Boss Emmet.”
Grimsley strides towards him purposefully, lips curled into a small smirk, “I hardly recognized you without your uniform. What brings you to Alola?”
Emmet chuckled, smile both easy and relaxed from a familiar face, “I could say the same for you. Your kimono compliments you nicely though. Maybe Ingo and I should have gone for the same.”
Grimsley gives him an appraising look, eyes twinkling mischievously, “I’m not sure. I think the tourist look suits you.”
Emmet grins wider, “Well, that is why we are in Alola– mandatory vacation from the Nimbasa City Council. Ingo and I had too many working hours. They made a strong case of it being a safety hazard.”
That pulls a chuckle out of Grimsley as well, “Somehow I can imagine that being the only argument that would work on you two.”
Emmet nods, eyes crinkled in amusement.
Grimsley lets out a hum, looking to either side of Emmet briefly, “That is another point… it was harder to recognize you alone. Where is your brother, Ingo?”
Emmet’s smile froze and he twitched slightly, silent for a few moments, “He is… at the observatory. He was interested in it. I am on my way to the League.”
Grimsley nodded with another nostalgic chuckle, “You always were the more competitive of you two.”
Emmet’s smile grew tighter, “Mhm… ”
Quickly searching for any change of subject away from his departure from his brother, he latched onto the closest topic, “And you are no longer part of the Unova League, right?”
Grimsley blinked, his smile dropping subtly, eyes quickly narrowing guardingly at Emmet.
“I remember hearing about your resignation, but I did not think you would have retired here,” Emmet continued, oblivious to Grimsley’s withdrawal, “I would have thought you would prefer moving to a bigger city. Like Nimbasa… or even Castelia.”
Grimsley hummed, monotonous in tone, “I’m sure a younger me might have preferred it… But Alola is a nice place to get away from it all.”
Emmet nodded enthusiastically, “Away from the press and prying eyes, yup!”
Grimsley, crossed his arms, “Yes, exactly…” He looked away from Emmet briefly, a crueler echo of a smirk stretching across his face.
“I did resign from the League… it was only a couple of years ago, but it’s been a nice change of pace,” he gestured to the sea where he had bid the Mantine farewell, “I’ve taken up the local sport of Mantine surfing.”
“Mantine surfing?” Emmet chatot-ed back.
Grimsley raised an eyebrow, “Racing on the back of Mantines while avoiding the rough waves. It’s quite popular… and quite fun. People can get quite competitive with it–including me.”
He shot Emmet a dazzling smile to sell his pitch.
Emmet’s eyes sparkled with the idea of a challenge– and a competitive one at that.
Hook, Line, and Sinker.
“It might be fun for you to try. Ingo too. There’s nothing quite like it,” Grimsley’s eyes twinkled with mischief, and Emmet couldn’t help but be captivated by such a novel idea.
“…Feeling the salty splash of the ocean on your face—” he gestured to his own face, smiling wide with open glee.
“…The sun’s rays on your back—,” he gestured this time to Emmet who could not help but match Grimsley’s smile himself.
“…The wind blowing through your… hair.”
Grimsley’s smile stayed in place, though his eyes reflected a more cruel joke. An amusement reflected in them as they drifted conspicuously towards Emmet’s hairline before meeting his eyes again with an easy grin.
Emmet’s smile faltered at the obvious joke.
“You are making fun of me.”
“Making fun of you? Whatever do you mean?” Grimsley faked a look of innocence, “Surely you don’t think I could be so cruel.”
Ah… so it was going to be like that, was it? So be it. A battle of wits is still a battle to be won. And Emmet loved winning more than anything else.
Emmet’s eyes drifted to take in more of the ex-Elite Four member, head tilting to truly consider him. His evaluation and plan of attack had to be perfect.
“No… I think you are enjoying your well-deserved vacation. You are retired after all. You just wanted to suggest a fun activity while I am also on vacation. It was verrrrry thoughtful of you and I am sorry that I mistook your words. Perhaps I am simply still too overworked and on edge because of it.”
Emmet’s smile softened in fake apology as Grimsley considered him.
“No need to apologize… there was no harm done.”
“I am glad to hear that. Perhaps this means I should also seek to relax myself. Your outfit looks very comfortable… and…” Emmet let his eyes pretend to scan the garment with consideration, letting his eyes then drop further down towards his target.
“…You are wearing shoes with it?”
Grimsley raised an eyebrow, head tilting slightly to the side as if to say ‘What of it? ’
“I am.”
Emmet’s eyes met Grimsley’s, piercing blue meeting steely grey as Emmet picked his next words carefully.
“You wear them often at the beach?”
Grimsley’s eyes sparked with curiosity.
“I do.”
“You haven’t considered sandals instead?”
“I have.”
“And you do not wear them? Surely it would be more comfortable. You are already wearing such loose garments.”
A feint. Hopefully, it would not be an obvious one.
Luckily for Emmet, Grimsley fell for it, the gambler’s eyes closing shut as he sighed and shook his head, “Alas, the sand here in Alola gets too hot for a foreigner, even one who has been retired here as long as I have. Sandals just don’t cut it,” he opened his eyes with a smirk, “Though I apologize if the sight ruins your personal preferences.”
Emmet’s smile twitched with barely concealed mirth.
“That is unfortunate. But it makes sense. Ah well…” Emmet could not fight the growing grin on his face as he stared Grimsley down, “At least Marlon will be ecstatic that someone else finally matches his tan line.”
The look of dawning horror was so sweet that Emmet had to take a moment to savor it. The blanch that Grimsley was fighting to keep off of his face was worth any amount of balding jokes. Emmet had won and it was a verrrrrry satisfying victory.
“Well! I should continue my tour of the island before it gets too dark. It was nice to see you again after so long. I may take you up on your offer to Mantine surf at a later date.”
With that, Emmet gave a short and smug salute as he turned to march off triumphantly to his next destination—
“Likewise, Subway Boss Emmet.”
Hm? He was still standing after that crushing blow? Well, he would not outsmart Emmet with his tricks. He stopped in acknowledgment, though he did not turn around to face Grimsley. He looked forward only towards the future battles ahead (and not towards the sore loser behind him.)
“It has been a long time since I’ve seen anyone from Unova, so it was a nice surprise to run into someone from my home region… Oh! And a word of advice—” Emmet’s eyes narrowed in suspicion, “—it’s best to learn how to Mantine surf during low tide. The high tide here in Alola can be very unforgiving and rough for even the most experienced surfers. I’ve had more than my fair share of wipeouts even when riding Sharpedo during them. There are plenty of lifeguards around to help in case of accidents, but I can’t imagine you’d want to be sat up in bed recovering for the main duration of your stay.”
Oh. Maybe he was actually just giving some proper advice this time after all.
Face softening somewhat, Emmet began to turn to face him, mouth opening to express his polite acknowledgment of gratitude—
“—No, it’s best if beginners such as yourself start learning once the water line has fully… receded.”
Fuck you.
Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.
Emmet’s mouth clicked shut into a tight smile before he gave a terse nod and final salute to Grimsley before stomping off to explore the rest of Ula’ula Island. He would get the last laugh. He would, he would, he would. He loved winning more than anything else. He would not lose to Grimsley.

So I made a PLA oc. And by that I mean I kinda rewrote the plot a lot.
Tumblr media
• Remy (age 15) is starting her journey in her home region of Unova after living in Alola for 5 years.
• Remy's mom doesn't really like the idea of having Pokémon, but refuses to explain why instead of getting Remy her starter for her 10th birthday, they were moving to a completely indoor facility in the middle of the ocean.
• Her cousin, Yuri, is the current Unova champion and taught her basically everything about Pokémon. He was born on a farm in Driftveil City, where he and his mother (Remy's Cool Aunt Sabina) breed Pokémon for competitive battlers. They breed for shinies, natures, moves, and hidden abilities.
• Remy's journey begins at this farm. It was just supposed to be vacation, but Sabina, the Cool Aunt, was able to work out a deal with Professor Juniper to get Remy a set of starter Pokémon.
• Remy and Yuri were supposed to meet in Nimbasa City so he could escort her to Straiton city, but those plans were ruined by a very inconsiderate time-space rift.
Explanation of the scribbles:
• -Ooo cool movie poster-esque thing of Remy surrounded by Zoroark and Zorua.
• -People saw how this random kid from the future can just chill with these terrifying animals and stop them from mauling travelers, so they just kinda hire her to be a warden type person to them.
• -Gabi meeting Remy for the first time.
• --Gabi: (You don’t look like you're from around here. Can I interest you in a map?)
• --Remy: ???? What did he say?? Why does he look like my pen pal from Hearthome City??
• -Japanese lessons paid for by shiny Pokémon (and risking your neck to fill the Pokédex).
• --Also that thing is what I lovingly refer to as the "Arc-tranceiver". (TM)
• -Irida doesn't get to be in on the Zorua gossip.
• -VOLO.
• --Remy does not trust that guy at all. Something about how he's always so curious about the plates and sneaking up on her really rubs her the wrong way.
• ---Volo: Say, may I have a look at that device of yours?
• ---Remy: Sorry, but no. I need it.
• ---Remy, internally: I'd sooner stick my head in a Garchomp's mouth than lend it to you.
• -Rapidash doing what it was born to do (Manslaughter).
• -She's seen it a million times, including with Yuri. She knows how the rival thing really works.
• --Niko will understand when he's older.

MARLON’S “MAIN FLAWS”
Tumblr media
(Whenever I make a new canon character blog here, I always like to check the pulse of the online fandom beforehand to see what opinions there are about the said character, if there even are any LOL. That little ‘screening’ helps me get a better picture of how the character might be perceived by other muses and muns, and I always have a lot of fun resisting, detailing, or doubling down on certain ‘stereotypical’ characteristics. Obscure canon muses rule for customization, as TPC and the fandom provide a loose framework for the character...and then you’re encouraged to go the OC route the rest of the way. It’s a blast, at least for me. Jupiter, Clair and Barry say hello!
So, what’s the point of this post? Well, I think it’s acceptable to say that Marlon isn’t very liked by the wider community, which is fine and fair. Good. Aside from not appearing much in the core games in general, the main critiques that I found are: (1) he’s totally oblivious during the Plasma events, and (2) he’s a pushover trainer and his Gym is not challenging at all.  Again, valid stuff. Let me take this post to explain how I’m going to interpret these two “main flaws” in my portrayal, because it’s already--not in a bad way!--come up a couple times.)
Obliviousness during Plasma events
In the games (and my portrayal), Marlon ultimately does end up helping the protagonist: he lowers the Frigate bridge, remember? Yes, he was/is almost completely unaware of Plasma’s doings, which I take as a combination of his personality and Plasma operating smartly. And yes, he does say that Plasma’s not bothering him, which is...yeah, not the best wording. But for my Marlon, actions will always hold more weight than words. He doesn’t see Plasma actually doing evil things where he’s at, so it’s hard for him to really care about them, for better or worse.
Marlon also knows that only some of the Plasma members are truly evil, which is why he hesitates and asks thoughtful questions first. He has an open mind and is always ready to forgive people for the right reasons (perhaps forgiving people too quickly.) The ocean accepts all rivers, and he wholeheartedly believes that everybody has good intentions to start. I don’t recognize the take that Marlon wants to help Plasma at all. if he truly took the time to know what they were all about, he’d want to fight a bit harder. He’s not that oblivious.
But, during Plasma’s arc, he doesn’t go all out. For the most part, he’s chilling. And I want to say this: if your muse resents Marlon for his lack of action, that is fine and encouraged. He didn’t have any bad intentions, but for people in the know (aka the protags and power players on both sides), the damage has already been done. And I say let the feelings fly. Just know that Marlon truly didn’t mean any harm. He’s aligned to be overwhelmingly good. Maybe too good, too forgiving...but he’s got a big ol’ smile for everyone regardless.
(’Pushover’ stuff under the cut!)
Eighth Gym pushover
I actually sort of agree here: I always found Marlon to be an easy battle in the games, especially after battling Drayden’s dragons. In my take, however, Marlon didn’t get to choose where he was in the Gym order...he just kind of “fell in” to the eighth position after Unova needed trainers to replace vacated spots. Due to Humilau’s location, it got locked in the last slot.
It’s really refreshing for me in a way: Marlon’s not the strongest Pokemon trainer ever (definitely not Clair) and he doesn’t take his job seriously at all (which, IMO, is a major breath of fresh air.) You’ve heard of skilled eighth Gym Leaders challenging and beating their regional Elites, now get ready for a mellowed-out surfer bro who’s on the verge of losing his position because he keeps finding better things to do. Unique. Amazing.
Now, with all this being said, my Marlon is still an extremely skilled trainer. While he’s not going to really challenge the Elites (or even Drayden) until he truly starts focusing on battles, his water team was raised with an overwhelming amount of love and care. Marlon is knows everything about the ocean, and he’ll always be a friend to all aquatic Pokemon. He’s no battlefield killer, and that’s okay.
As for his Gym...I mean, I feel like trainers appreciate the mellow experience. It beats getting shot out of a cannon, right?
While his team may not be the strongest, Marlon’s Pokemon are taken care of to the max. And, just like their trainer, when they do feel the rush for battle, they truly give it their all. Every time. 😊
(Whew, this got long! It’s a stream of consciousness ramble by now, but in the end, this post isn’t meant to dispute any of Marlon’s “flaws.” I’m also not demanding that people treat him any different. Just offering my perspective and take(s) on said conceptions, and (hopefully!) providing a bit more character depth for my favorite surfer boy as a whole--because TPC sure didn’t. I’m doing it myself... 😤)

My submas aus
okay so! i asked if ya’ll wanted to see my other submas aus that had things already written for them, some people expressed interest, sorry for not posting this sooner i was super scared to do this but i think i can do this now.... also i can’t link stuff so i’ll put down the tag i’ll use/have used for the writings for these aus. now that iv’e cleared things up ill list my aus  Robo emmet au  about: After Emmet had been attacked and killed by a wild Zoroark after visiting lostlorn forest without his pokemon, Ingo rebuilds Emmet as a robot out of desperation, adding a few things to the robot to make emmet more safe than he was before, including an internal pokedex, a “lost mode”, an internal reminder to not leave the house without pokeballs and some self defence mechanisims, things kick off when emmet returns from “vacation” and ingo realises emmet is more protective than normal..... (might have a pla arc)  chapters; 4 (the first three are very short)  -My robo emmet au  -Elesa asks too many questions  -Welcome back emmet  -Emmet returns (and gets mad)  all the works are tagged with #robo emmet au  Mythical fusion au  about: after being kidnapped by team plasma Emmet and Ingo are fused with victini and meloetta in a normally fatal experiment, after they escape they realise they have new quirks, desperate to not be captured by team plasma again they hide these quirks and move houses every week around the unova region while still working as subway bosses in the daytime and trying to hide this fact from everyone else as well  No chapters posted yet  will be tagged #mythical fusion au #victini!emmet #meloetta!ingo  Making new friends au about: After ingo and emmet get weirdly worded texts asking them to meet a friend in different places their tracks are seperated and they both are on a new adventure. (it’s an au because instead of ingo falling into hisui, ingo and emmet are tasked to meet someone)  No chapters posted yet  will be tagged #making new friends au  Seperated personalities au  about: after an incident Ingo and emmet have been seperated into 7 parts of their personalities, they need to hide this fact from elesa and everyone else (and they fail) (supposed to be a comedic au)  No chapters posted yet  will be tagged #seperated personalities au  Desperation and Dreams au  about: after Emmet gets mentally troubled with ingo’s death he makes a desperate decision and fails, the new depot agent, Zane and their musharna decide to help in their own way  No chapters posted yet  will be tagged #desperation and dreams au  Unknown vampires au  about: Surprise!!! its a monster au!!! uhh ingo and emmet have been turned into vampires and don’t know they have, elesa is a key instrument to helping them realise this  No chapters posted yet  will be tagged #unknown vampires au

Jason’s Farewell
[The following recording was filmed by a Keyhee-device, and it seems like the participants are not aware of this fact]
Jason is sitting on a couch, polishing Nuggie the Nogginaw’s bone-structure. He seems lost in thought, looking at photos on the wall of various teens in different situations. The camera can just make out Jason and Meta in the images. A window next to the photos shows this location is in the middle of a dense jungle. A door is also next to the window.
Noggie rattles his jaw as Jason startled. He chuckles and moves on to another section of the skull. The Nogginaw settles in seeping into Jason’s lap.
A knock is heard at the door and Noggie floats off from his lap and runs into the door, knocking it in return. Chuckling, Jason got up and unlocked it and gasping at who he sees.
“Meta?! Your back!?”
Meta, walking into the room, chuckles as Jason gives him a tight hug, which he returns, a large backpack on his back along with his usual satchel.
“Yeah, I decided my vacation lasted long enough and it was about time I came back home. Decided to come here first before checking with the town. Are the others also here?” Meta asked, letting go.
“Nope! They went out to do some shopping. You have to tell me about your travels!” Jason said, picking up Noggie to stop him headbutting Meta.
“Oh my there were so many places I got to explore! I must I’ve gone to almost every region in multiple worlds! Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, Paldea, Tandor, Verohn, Urobos, Torren, Edelweiss, and more!
Each one is so unique! Their own cultures, battle systems, legendaries, stories, people, foods, scenery, style, music, and more! I didn’t do many battles, but they were all super strong! I might have to got back and battle them someday!”
“Wait, I don’t recognize those last few?” Jason interrupted, confused.
“They are rather secluded from the official Leagues. And they don’t even exist in others, but when they do, they are something to behold” Meta answered wistfully.
“I’m sure you’re famished! Let me get you something to eat! Here, take a seat. I’ve been holding things down while you were away. No major catastrophes, no large debates, no injuries, nothing!”
“Heh, y’know you do a lot better at this leading thing than I do, Jason. Perhaps you should be the one leading us instead”.
“Nah,” Jason said, rolling his eyes, “that politic game gives me no intrigue. But enough of that, tell me more of your travels!” He chuckled, handing Meta his Key-phone back.
“Well, it first began when I went to Alola…” He began to recount his adventures as he took his phone back and walked with Jason to a room that must be the kitchen.

Ranting about that pokemon rp because I can't be normal anymore. We've had this going for two years. And a lot of shit happened
-All the drama from Unova and the bw games is canon + some things that we added for fun. It was with our main ocs
-we created a new region called Akkosia, with two legendaries & all. Unethical experiments & shit happened, someone was fusioned with his pokemon (it was my best friend Polaris), we overthrew the government, had to murder some evil people, took over the damned league, and had about 16 near death experiences. The whole Akkosia arc was insanely fun except that I probably cried 17 times because of Polaris alone.
And this is where it gets messy because we have like. 5 perspectives, all at once.
- had a sort of "beach episode" where our main characters spent a few days planning a festival in Alola. One of my oc (Sacha, whose best friend is Hoopa), met the love of his life (Marisa, whose best friend is Celebi). They also met Fukaku (he'll be more relevant later) *
-while this was happening, a guy from Akkosia (Mizuki) went to Kalos with his girlfriend (a former member of the Akkosia league / she was a villain but then she was spared). Most events from the Kalos games happened except like. 10 times worse. There was a second criminal organisation at work.
-Eden (former team Flare member, who was badly injured when the Supreme Weapon fired) was saved by Ringer (former member of the Black Eagles, the second evil organization) and they both had a lesbian escapade in. Spain. Where, after they got engaged, lost their house to a dramatic incident involving Darkrai (note: Darkrai used to belong to Mizuki).
-Darkrai Was caught by someone who can casually break the fourth wall, who gave an existential crisis to Eden, before she tried to find an "entertaining solution" in order to avoid catastrophes.
*going back to the main cast for a second. They went to Kalos because Sacha is looking for Hoopa's vase. Did I mention there's a cult in Kalos? Marisa traveled back in time hundred of times, in order to prevent Sacha from getting KILLED and he couldn't remember any of it
After this, they avoided problems a bit. Oh. No they didn't. Sacha and Marisa left to go on vacations in Kanto. It ended up terribly.
-Ringer faked her death. Eden joined team Rocket alongside Livio and Ekuren. They took over Kanto, became literally the best trio. Until they found Polaris (who is an escaped experiment), so Livio went ballistic (he's an experiment aswell and used to know Polaris until he abandoned him) so there was an entire arc where team Rocket was after Polaris (and they succeeded in catching him)
-The leader of team Rocket was eaten by Giratina and thus set Polaris free.
*A big cult, calling themselves "The Family" gained in influence. A small girl ran away and met the main group. Unfortunately, she's always been a bit different, but she befriended Fukaku, and they had a sibling - like relationship.
-Fukaku hunt down. And killed. All leaders of the Family. With one exception, being Mei, since she was mostly endoctrinated and not beyond reasoning
-Got tracked down by one experiment / daughter of one of the leaders (Orion), who was, in fact, spared. And who had to live with them, in order to repair her mecha
-Every single character was invited to a wedding (Sacha and Marisa). Even team Rocket.
Team Rocket got their redemption arc when the leader almost died so it's fine.
ALL THESE STORIES HAPPENING ALL AT Once and it's so hard to keep track of everything. I can't I legit cant'.
I have been mentally ill about this rp for. Years. And. Lukas. My bestie. Has the audacity to kill Fukaku after shit went down
So many character I didn't even mention Arael & Prismo, nor the Kalos dlc with Lyn & Floyd. I didn't even mention Yumeko (my boy) & Mikoto (Livio's lost brother)
So many things.
And the main characters
None of them had died thus far.
Unti' NOW.
But hey, at least I get to be happy Sacha and Pola are finally together again and this time they have something in common: they're both trans.

[snippet of events from last night aka transparent fanfiction disguised as a lore writeup - 550 words]
tl;dr: casi manages to meet grimsley, but it doesn't go according to plan
How Casi manages to get herself into these messes, she’ll never fully know. Once an idea pops into her mind, very little can stop her from going all out in order to accomplish it. Outright failure has rarely scared her, but now she’s halfway across the world chasing after her fascination with a man she's never met. What on earth was she thinking? Perhaps it's too late for her to be having this realization, now that she's wormed her way into some exclusive party in Unova in hopes of "accidentally" bumping into Grimsley. She's stumbled her way into getting this far, why turn back when she's gotten so close?
Scanning the room she finds no sight of the man she came all this way to speak to. She takes another sip of the champagne that someone handed her what feels like an eon ago. If she lets this go, maybe she can chat with folks and have a good remainder of her evening, soak up every drop of attention given to her and ride that validation for the rest of the trip. After all, this is ultimately all for her ego, is it not? Grimsley is hardly the only person that she's fallen for, and if she truly wanted to she could easily find someone willing to give her the time of day. What she's here for is the challenge. The bragging rights. The conversations that start whenever she does something she's not supposed to do.
Right as she's convincing herself that she didn't buy this expensive new outfit to not be ogled at for the entire night, he finally strides into the room. Grimsley’s arrival is hardly acknowledged, and Casi vaguely recalls that his reputation in his home region is a far cry from spotless, but that hardly matters to her.
She makes her way across the crowded room in a way that could almost be mistaken as casual, and does her best to act as if her running into him was complete happenstance. He’s the dark type specialist of the Elite Four? What a coincidence! She raises a few dark types of her own. Casi comfortably slips into her usual methods of directing the conversation and for a while Grimsley seems to let her. Then he asks why he hasn’t seen her around before. She’s visiting from another region, she tells him. And this is where she’s ended up? Casi isn’t sure how to reply. Why is she really here? Was he supposed to believe that she came all this way to go to one fancy party?
Suddenly, it feels as if the rug is being pulled out from under her. Grimsley’s gaze seems to cut through her, her intentions bare for him to see, and he wasn’t going to let her off easily. He wants her to admit why she’s here in the first place. With no means of escape from the Ariados web she’s fallen into, she does. She tells him the truth. She’s here because she set her sights on something and wouldn’t let it go. No matter how rash it was, no matter how impossible the odds seemed. Grimsley grins in a way Casi is all too familiar with, that same predatory smile she uses when she knows she's going to get her way.

Pokemon JN074 and JN075 Review...
JN074
Now this one definitely earned itself a spot as one of my favorite Journeys episodes. I loved that Chloe just went to Sinnoh on her own and that she got a little taste of adventure on her own. And of course the callbacks and even the Johanna cameo made me happy.
Tumblr media
The nightmare Ash and Goh had was both creepy and hilarious at the same. I loved it! Props to the animators for making this scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But of course my favorite thing about this episode was of course Dawn's return. And I love the dynamic that she and Dawn quickly developed during this episode. And it was part where they held hands for the first time is what really brought me on board this ship. Seriously, my gay heart was screaming when I first saw this. 😆💘
JN074 gets a 9.5/10!
Tumblr media
As for JN075, it has also earned itself a spot as one of my favorites. And it's not just because of the Ash and Dawn reunion. I really love that the girls managed to form a deep bond with Cresselia, and them realizing the truth about it's relationship with Darkrai. As well as Dawn encouraging Chloe and Eevee to try giving Contest techniques a whirl by giving them a preview of the Theme Performance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like that this episode gave us a sweet side of Cresselia's and Darkrai's relationship instead of the enemy relationship most of us assumed. Because of it's ability to give people bad dreams, it's understandable that it's lonely and misunderstood. And since Cresselia can neutralize it's ability, it's sweet that Darkrai sees her as a friend and not it's enemy.
JN075 gets a 8.5/10!
Tumblr media
Overall I really enjoyed this Darkrai and Cresselia Summer Vacation arc. It's makes me so happy to see Chloe and Eevee go on a little trip on their own to Sinnoh and meeting Dawn for the first time. Not only did I love all of the Moonlightblossomshipping moments, Dawn is just one of the few people helping Chloe and Eevee to finding their path to what they want to be. And this arc also reminds me on how Chloe has grown as a person and how she's able to connect with Pokémon like Cresselia, as well as growing more comfortable with trying new things. And I hope that she and Eevee have more solo adventures, all while growing and meeting new people and pokemon.
I'm really happy that Journeys has brought Dawn back to us, and for two episodes in a row no less. I really love the kind of influential person she was during Chloe's adventures in the Sinnoh Region. Though I am a bit bummed that we didn't learn much about how much she has grown since her return in Unova, and that her reunion with Ash and meeting with Goh was cut short. As well as not being able to see the rest of her current Pokémon Team in action. But all of heartwarming and comic relief moments she had with Chloe made up for that. Besides, I heard that Dawn will be returning for a Winter Special later on this year. So hopefully then we'll get to see how much she has grown after Unova, and hopefully more Moonlightblossomshipping moments cause I'm seriously on board that ship. But we'll see!
Tumblr media
Plus it's nice to see Matori and the Matori Matrix (except Gozu) back in evil action for the first time in over a year. Though I don't think we'll be getting more frequent appearances, I do hope they'll play more major antagonist roles in another future arc or two. But seriously, where's Gozu?! Matori Matrix isn't complete without him.
Overall these two Pokeani episodes were the highlight of my Summer and thought not completely perfect, they were a lot of fun heartwarming moments and were really enjoyable to watch. And they had a couple of Diamond and Pearl Series references, characters, and flashbacks. So this arc as a whole gets a 8/10 from me.

Pokémon: Best Wishes - Undella / Meloetta Arc Appreciation Post
While the Junior Cup was far from the best tournament and that Cameron vs. Marlon episode flat-out sucked, this arc was one of the strongest in Best Wishes; particularly in its usage of atmosphere. The beachside setting is so relaxing and inviting and cozy, just like a proper vacation (which, being between Ash’s 8th badge and the Unova League, it basically is), while everything involving Team Rocket develops this foreboding sense of darkness and dread far beyond what is even typical of them in this series, which culminates in the near-perfection that is Operation Tempest where Ash and co. finally face off against motherfucking Giovanni. That’s such a huge contrast of tones, but they really work well together: you appreciate the dark stuff due to how light the light stuff is, and the light stuff due to how dark the dark stuff is.
Also, it gave us this absolute bop:

If you could include Silver at any point in the mainstream pokemon anime, how would you go about it?
My ideal would have been him as an antagonist during the HGSS promo episodes with Lyra. I like the idea of him tagging along like just another cameo trainer, hanging out with the group until they stumble across a lab or something with *something* for him to be after. He's just going to subtly swipe it while everyone else is looking around, but gets exposed when Jessie James and Meowth show up, resulting in a fight where he gets away.
It would also be set up for the Meloetta stuff in Unova, with it ending with him reporting back to Gio with whatever he grabbed, and an implication that it'll be important later.
I suspect a large part of why he's not in the anime is the fact that there's no real reason for him to not be in Team Rocket. It never disbands, and while Gio gets hurt a few times he never goes away permanently, and Silver's redemption arc is tied into him being on his own. In a world where Gio and Team Rocket have plot armor and can't go away, he's probably going to be indifferent to it at best and working for it at worst. And I doubt that would fly with Pokemon given that he's one of the good guys in everything else.
That said, I don't think Ash knows who Giovanni is in cannon. So an episode where Ash and co. run into Gio and Silver on vacation somewhere is technically possible. And while it would never happen, the idea is very funny to me.

what sorts of arcs would Gold experience or explore overseas? Galar, Unova, Hoenn specifically! 🇬🇧🇺🇲🇯🇵
Oh so this is a very good question? I think it’d probably have to be league related for him to go to other regions, as he doesn’t really tend to go ‘on vacation’ beyond Johto and Kanto otherwise. Really its kind of unhealthy and I’d love for someone to push him enough to agree when he has some time off of his duties!
In Galar specifically I imagine he has family, so you might be able to catch him on a family visit? But that’ll also be rare!
