Trigger warning:
Suicide, death, hints at drugs and/or alcohol.
"Lance, you don't you don't understand!" Keith argued, "nothing has been working!"
"Keith, you can't just do this, please. If not for me, then for shiro? Or Pidge, Hunk, Coran, Allura?"
"Allura," Keith spat. "You expect me to do anything for her when she stole everything from me!?"
"What has she ever stolen from you?!" Plance claimed. Keith looked at Lance, his expression un readable but silent none the less.
"You.." Keith whispered.
"What?"
" I said You! Okay? She stole you from me." He cried, his voice began to crack. "She stole my everything" he whispered. Lance stood stunned at Keith's declaration. Every beat of silence became loud, lance had said nothing, not even a sound. He just stood there as if the idea of Keith linking him in that way was un heard of, like it was impossible. Every second the large drop that was in front of Keith became more tempting. Every second his urge to jump, to get rid of the pain of all these years was getting larger. Everything he tried, the drugs, alcohol, any of it lead to only momentary numbness. Happiness for only a short time. Death though? That was a different story, everything would be gone, finally he would have control, it was like this was the only thing in life he could control and Lance was taking that away from him. Keith heard foot steps shuffling frantically up the stairs to the roof. "What did you do?!" Keith demanded "no, no, you are NOT taking this away from me!" Keith's tears began to fall down his face. A dreaded sense of betrayed looming over him. Lance wanted him to be happy. Right? So why would he take that away?! The footsteps got closer. "Probably shiro, pidge, Hunk and coran, of course not Allura though she hates my guts" Keith thought. A worry filled Lance's eyes. And yet, Keith didn't care...
One step...
Keith lowered his head, "Lance, I love you, I really do." he looked up, seeing the broken and dishevelled Lance one last time, and he jumped.
"NO!" Lance cried, leaping forward, his hand just slipping past Keith and failing to grab on to him. "I love you too..." he said, voice cracking and eyes filling with tears.
"You can join him." Somone said from behind Lance. He turned around quickly.
"Wha-" He began, but no one was there.
"Over here," the voice said, pulling Lance over to the edge, his stomach slamming against the railing borderline winding him. "Tempting, isn't it?" The voice giggled. "Do it, I know you want to. Follow him." The voice whispered in his ear. The ground became tempting, like it was calling him. Lance couldn't believe he was being persuaded to actually do this. And by the air at that. "Oh, I'm not "Air. " I'm the other voice. The one inside your head. The one with the "bad thoughts." But really, is this one "bad?" The voice questioned. "Go on... be with him. Join us."
"I-" Lance began
"They are almost here. Choose now. I think you know what you want..."
"Keith"
"Go on, do it."
"Yeah... I'll see him? Yes?"
"Yes," the voice responded. Lance looked to the stars.
"I'll he there soon Keith... I love you, " he breathed into the night. Slowly, yet hastily, he crawled over the railing in front of him...
"I'm coming, my love..." he whispered. Still looking at the stars, he submitted himself to the ground. Giving in at last.
Killed Lance this time!

Wonderful Precure Episode 16 Review - Secrets, Stories, And Shin-Chan
I was expecting Komugi’s secret to be exposed, but I didn’t think it’d be exposed this soon. I was expecting somewhere in the Episode 20’s. Then again, given how bad Iroha and Komugi are at hiding things, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
This episode actually gives important lore about Animal Town and the legend behind its creation that revolves around the Mirror Stone. Apparently, animals wanted to talk with humans and then God, a unicorn, granted it. However, when conflict arose between different creatures, the Unicorn turned the Mirror Stone into an ordinary stone and disappeared. That’s how the story goes. There are pictures that go along with the story that mainly focuses on a wolf and a unicorn. My theory of Niko being the mysterious wolf is incorrect now that Niko is most definitely a unicorn. I just want to know what happened to the unicorn and why the wolf is wanting vengeance.
Yoko and Tsuyoshi learning about the talking animals was hilarious and surprising. It was hilarious seeing their reactions to Komugi and Mey Mey talking but I was more surprised on how well they are taking it. While Mey Mey didn’t reveal their secret about them being Precures, helping distressed animals and sending them back to Niko Garden would be a feat that would make them proud because they know Iroha is a caring and helpful person. I honestly can’t wait to see Mey Mey’s interactions with Iroha’s parents because I know it’ll be cute.
There was a collaboration with Crayon Shin-chan as Shinnosuke appeared in the middle of the episode at the dog park with Shiro. Honestly, this was pretty crazy. I used to watch a lot of Crayon Shin-chan as a kid, so it felt like my childhood came back in a way. Though, I mainly watched it in Korean, so I’m still not used to their Japanese names. But hey, my favorite character back then was Shiro the dog, and I’m glad he’s here for this episode. Also, I was a little surprised Shinnosuke wasn’t behaving all perverted around Iroha since he likes older women, but I guess Iroha is too young for his standards? It’s still crazy. I know that Precure often does collaborations like how Hirogaru Sky did a collaboration with the Peach Plane.
Maybe The Boy And The Heron has affected me in a weird way because when the bird GaruGaru was revealed to be a parakeet, I was expecting a twist that the bird was evil and getting calmed down was an act. Thanks, Miyazaki for ruining parakeets for me (I’m just kidding). I was also not expecting human Yuki to show up and the tease of her almost transforming was mean! I bet her transformation sequence will be shown in a few weeks now that Mayu wishes she could be like Iroha. That’s a flag right there.
Anyways, I really liked this episode and all the important information dump it gave. I know what to expect going forth and I can’t wait to see when everything about the story starts spiraling. What are your thoughts on this episode?

For a not-unheard-of crackship, this one doesn't do it for me. Most of this is based on headcanons that Amon and Hiroshi neither like nor respect one another and that there are a lot of power dynamics playing out behind the scenes about the future of the Equalists. I also read Hiroshi as the straightest man ever (Amon not so much).

🎉🦄
Keith clutched the present bag to his chest. He wiped a sweaty palm on his lap and shifted — unfortunately unable to get very comfortable in the car when it was full of five other people — as a knot twisted in his stomach. The bright blue gift wrap was quite distracting, though, and he glanced down at it, worrying at his bottom lip and smoothing down his suit jacket.
Lance had insisted his ten-year-old niece would love anything since she frequently jumped from interest to interest, but Keith really wanted to get her something special. Something she’d cherish. He wracked his brain for days then, miraculously, managed to overhear from Lance's mother that she had recently gotten into art and was saving up to buy paintbrushes.
Now, this Keith knew.
He’d been painting for years, had gone through the painstaking, bank-breaking process of graduating from whatever he could scrounge to, eventually, professional-grade materials. Lance’s niece was young so he didn’t want to overwhelm her, but he went ahead and purchased a nice assortment of painting tools and wrote a small guide on his best tips to getting started to go with it.
He’d felt confident, but as they neared Lance’s house he couldn’t help the nagging doubt that he’d bought something left something out or it just wasn’t what she would want any more.
He took a deep breath and settled back against the seat as much as he could. Hunk sat next to him and smiled reassuringly, bringing his arm around the headrest so Keith could lean back fully. Keith returned the smile and took another grounding breath.
Just then — the clip-clop of hooves against the asphalt.
What?
Everyone in the car sat up, leaned, or manoeuvred in some way to look out the window, see Lance absolutely speed past them on a pristine white horse clad in a long cape and unicorn horn.
“Huh — Lance?” Hunk called, the first to gain the ability to speak while Keith was sure his jaw was grazing his lap. Shiro slowed the car and Hunk called out again. “Lance!”
Through the rear view mirror, Keith saw Lance's form come to a stop. He was more quite far, but Keith could make out the horse’s hind legs raise before lowering and swiftly turning to make their way over to the car. The clip-clopping grew closer until Lance was just a few feet away and dismounted. He walking up to their car with an easy smile.
“Hey, guys!” Lance stuck his head through Keith's window and Keith immediately flattened against his seat, heart beating embarrassingly fast. “Hey, Keith.”
“Hey.”
“Looking good, man.” What. Oh, right, he was wearing a suit. (Lance’s niece wanted to host a themed party and went for fairy tales, which made the unicorn horn make sense. Albeit interesting and creative, the theme left him stumped but he ultimately settled on a typical suit and hoped it would pass as a prince or something).
“Thanks,” Keith replied, feeling his face heat. Lance grinned.
“What are you doing out here?” Pidge asked, but not before casting Keith a knowing look. Keith ignored it in favour of hearing Lance explain.
“There was a mix-up with the bakery, so I’m just gonna go pick something else up real quick.”
“With…”
Lance tilted his head in confusion then brightened. “Oh! This is Macy!” He tugged gently on the horse’s reins until her face appeared alongside his outside the window. She whinnied, shaking her mane, and Keith startled when the rough hairs struck his nose. Lance laughed, sudden and loud, and carded a hand through her mane as he sent Keith a sympathetic grimace.
“Sorry." Keith gave him a look but the edge of his mouth still quirked up. "Really, are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Keith said, unable to hold back a smile when he reached out to stroke Macy’s muzzle. She leaned into him and Lance softened.
“Aw, she’s happy to see you," He cooed.
Keith feigned a scowl at the change in his voice and Lance feigned a pout. He broke character and chuckled, when his eye caught on the bag in Keith’s hands.
“Is that —"
“— Uh.”
“Oh my God, Keith! That’s — that’s amazing! Holy shit." He gasped, eyes searching what contents of the bag he could. "This is exactly the type of stuff she’s looking for!”
Keith breathed a sigh, half at the lost surprise and half in relief. “I’m glad. I really hope she’ll like it.”
“She’ll love it, are you joking?” Lance pulled on Macy’s reins again as he backed up from the car. “When we open presents before cake, you’ll see. She’s gonna love you.” He punctuated each word and held Keith's eye before turning to smile at everyone. “I’ll see you guys at the party!” Everyone voiced a similar sentiment and he smiled.
Keith turned his face as far as he could out the window, half to see Lance easily pull himself up on Macy and half to hide his smile from the others.

"Cmon! Get in here." Pidge called. Hunk, coran, allura, and shiro funnled through the door.
"How do you know if this will work?" Shiro enquired, the others nodding in question.
"Oh, please, when has one of my inventions ever gone wrong?!"
*insert compilation if every time their inventions have malfunctioned and/or exploded*
"Just look. We can see what they are saying!" Pidge said, turning on the monitor.

The group erupted in laugter. "Oh my god-" allura wheezed. Shiro joined in laughing, but only after a few moments of trying to hold strong.
"That idiot" pidge laughed.

Loverboy: hey!? What are you laughing at?!!
Loverboy lover: look, what you said earlier isn't the reason for pidge changing my user name.

"Omg, omg, oh my God!, come on keith" pidge pleaded. Everyone was just a but closer to the screen. It was frankly quite sad, everyone around them had noticed the obvious chemistry. pidge, being Keith's best friend, was told by Keith about his crush on Lance, and hunk had been told by Lance that he had a crush on Keith. It was so obvious, yet they were so oblivious. It was almost painful.

Loverboy lover: uugh, like, look at your user name, and then mine.

"Omg yes! He can't miss this, surely" Coran had joined now.
"Didn't peg you for the type to ship people" pidge laughed.
"We are this far in already, why wouldn't I?" Pidge couldn't arge with that.

Loverboy lover: omg Lance, no, I like A loverboy. In particular.

Loverboy lover: Are you okay?

"YES FINALLY" allura celebrated.
"HAHA, TAKE THAT DEPRESSION!!" Pidge yelled in triumph. Whilst everyone was high-fiveing eachother.
"Guys?" Pidge, shiro, allura and hunk all turned around to ses Keith in the door way. "What the hell is happening?"
"I'd like to ask the same thing" Lance said appearing in the door way, leaning over Keith. Pidge thought she saw a glimpse of Keith's face going flush, but he coved his face too fast.
"Oh please! Come in!" Pidge said, ushering the two in and stiiting them down, with a grin on their face that almost looked painful.
"Took ya long enough," shiro called from behind pidge.
"What?-" Keith began, but they stepped aside to show the while chat that Lance and Keith had. Immediately, both of their faces went red.
"I'm going to get a drink" coran said abruptly, and without warning, shiro, pidge and allura followed, leaving Keith and Lance alone.
"So..." Lance strayed.
"So.."
"You like me then"
"I could say the same for you" there was an awkward pause before Lance attempted to strike up another conversation.
"So, men, they're pretty, aren't they" he immediately cringed at himself.
"I mean, you certainly are" Lance's eyes almost popped out of his head as he looked to Keith. Keith's hair was draped slightly over his eyes, but Lance could still see the beautiful dark purple colour of them. "Can I kiss you-" Keith blurted out. "Ah- I'm sorry, never mind me" he stuttered flustered at himself.
"Hey, wait... " he paused as Keith turned back again."I wouldn't mind at all, actually, " he said, sort of sheepishly. Keith carefully cupped his hand on Lance's cheek, looking him in the eyes, before closing the distance and kissing him.

Gundam Overdrive: Thoughts So Far.
I'm going to reiterate that I wish I had gotten into this series sooner. The story, The Characters (Most of the time), the world, the designs, all fantastic.
So here's the list I am following in terms of watch order chronologically in the UC timeline. Now I was warned about the jump in quality, or rather the whiplash, in this watch order. But you can thank Starwars for helping me get used to that.

So as you can see, chugging along right now at a pretty brisk pace. But also remembering to slow down every once in a while so I don't get burnt out. Anyways, just some highlights of my reaction to the series. This is subject to change as I progress through the series and just my silly little opinion. Take it with a grain of salt as someone who is just stepping into Gundam.
Favorite Opening.

Favorite Ending.

Favorite Protagonist.
Amuro Ray (Runner Up: Shiro Amada) (Amuro has a bit of a neat character Arch. But also dear gods child, you are traumatized.)
Favorite Antagonist/Villain.
Char Aznable. (What can I say? He's terrifying. But also has a very punchable face.)
Least Favorite Protagonist.
Nina Purpleton. (I know they changed directors which screwed up her character a bit. I'm still pissed at her. Kou deserved none of that and deserved so much better.)
Least Favorite Antagonist.
Inconclusive.
Favorite Gundam.
RX-78-2. (I'm basic, shoot me)
Favorite Mobile Suit.
The Red Zaku II. (Same reason as above)

Apsaras III. (Looks like something out of my nightmares, which means it did its job. It looks like a giant bug, I hate it.)
