Long story short I am working on an Au where members of a certain magical blood get more literal ‘blood of the dragon’ features (I.E Horns, sharp teeth wings) and I need to find a way for two character to hide their (small, underdeveloped but Still There) wings that’s not just having a cape/cloak on 24/7. I have some ideas for the girl (not many, but some) but am drawing a blank when it comes to male fashion— do you have any recommendations for articles of clothingthat could obscure Two Extra Shoulder Limbs. Please and thanks!

Oooooh that’s a really cool premise!

Shawls or wraps are always a safe bet, if kinda similar to a cloak or cape. Easy and comfortable, able to hide their wings fairly well.

A tight fitting jacket or doublet might work as well. They’re incredibly common as articles of clothing already, so less suspicions would be rouses, if not a bit uncomfortable for the wearer (having their wings pressed against them and all)

A big overtunic of sorts, one that goes over a tighter tunic/gown. Probably far more comfortable than a tight jacket, but does give off a more shapeless figure

Long and loose jackets/robes. More like house coats than anything else, with drapery fabric that should cover up most bulging pretty well

Some sort of headdress that covers up the back and shoulders. Usually these are big enough or layered enough to hide whatever is going on underneath it

If memory serves I believe we've seen him a grand total of 12 outfits now, those being his normal outfit, the scorpion demoness outfit, his apocalyptic outfit, his desert outfit, a naval outfit that we see him in for all of 3 seconds, his cold/winter outfit, lantern rite merch, his new S4 outfit, Sanzang's outfit, the purple and grey one from his training with master Subodhi, his pajamas, and the celestial warrior outfit in the brand new Lego sets, all of which should be presented in order below (if Tumblr image formatting cooperates I still don't really know how it works)

In literally every single outfit we see him in(with the sole exception of the desert outfit where they were all sweating to death, excused as an outlier due to temperature conditions) he is completely covered head to toe except for his face and hands.

I present to you the headcanon that Tang hates not being entirely covered and will go out of his way to make sure he is. No logic based reason for it, it just feels bad to him, sensory issue? maybe? idk He cozy cozy comfy comfy at all times!! It is a must!!! Thank you for coming to my tedtalk heehoo

i'm not the most well versed in animated princesses so i'd be happy to take other suggestions on this front, but when enchanted (2007) came out, every single goddamn person i knew (including some of my university professors) took the time to tell me that an animated movie had been made starring Me 😂

so i guess giselle, because starstruck is still a sona and shares a huge number of my core traits! i haven't seen the sequel or heard much about it, though, so i'm not sure how well it still holds up!

when it comes to obianidala i am of the opinion that padme and anakin are always ridiculously, stupidly obsessed with obi-wan, we all know what they're like with each other and they both get wilder with him in the mix. obi-wan isn't stupid, he knows what he looks like and he knows what can happen with the charisma he uses in his line of work. he's used to one half of the couple getting a bit of a crush on him, usually to the displeasure of the other, though he's been very determined to not be the cause of any called-off engagements. but he's not prepared for a double-attack from anidala. by their third meeting padme is somehow flirting with obi-wan in some thinly-veiled discussion about, i don't know, flowers or tablecloth fabric or something, meanwhile anakin right beside seems entirely unfazed at this and is staring at obi-wan with all the warmth and intensity of a sun (he's trying to estimate obi-wan's ring size and is just getting lost just appreciating his hands instead).

and it gets worse from there. obi-wan is very bewildered by the attention from this very enthusiastic couple, but he just thinks they trust his judgment a lot. they're certainly wonderful to be around and he would be lying if he didn't consider them both extremely attractive. but clients are always and should be out of bounds for him, so he resigns himself to planning them the best goddamn wedding they want so they can be happy. he doesn't understand why they keep changing details about it according to his own personal tastes, or why they like meeting him in casual locations so spending time with them doesn't feel like work at all and more like, well, everyday life.

on anidala's end they're already reformatting the wedding invitations to include obi-wan's name and wondering if they can change to a bigger venue so that they have room for anyone he wants to be there. by the time either of them actually remembers to ask obi-wan if he wants in on their relationship, padme's consulting with home renovators to figure out how to reconfigure her lake house so obi-wan can have the library he's mentioned wanting. it's like two or three weeks before the date when anakin forgets that they didn't ask obi-wan, actually, and when he greets the man with a kiss before saying hello at their next meet-up it seems there's a lot of things they need to clear up. padme walks in a minute later with a list of questions for obi-wan about their combined ceremony and he nearly falls over. that conversation takes up the rest of the afternoon.
