All the clans are clearly mentally ill, that’s the trade off to being hereditary aristocracy clinging to antiquated power, you get the brain demons. The cursed techniques come with curses. But whereas the Kamo keep their embarrassments locked down tight (curse wombs secured, possessed old patriarchs symbolically folded back into the family tree, illegitimate children assimilated) and the Zen’in have the sort of of simmering rot-in-the-walls, sprawling gothic horror disease that only rears its head once every few generations, I think the Gojo have been having public breakdowns since the Meiji era. It would go a long way to explaining why everyone reacts the way they do to Satoru, and why his family is so invisible in the narrative. Oh, a Gojo having manic episodes, saying unsettling things, making vague grandiose threats, and exhibiting eccentric behavior? A likely thing for him to do.

honestly, there isn't a more damning argument against the claim that market forces inherently breed innovation than the state of film and television rn. market cap incentivizes safe bets, and those bets don't stay safe forever.
~smart~ refrigerators existing at all argues something similar. that's not innovative! it's bizarre, expensive, and gaudy!

I understand ppl not liking the fucked up Keiwa arc however. 1) as a very protective and soft person myself if anything happened to my sister I too would turn into an evil bitch ready to revenge kill without remorse and 2) let him cook

Shoutout to “Flight of the Phoenix” from Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 (or 2?) for being the only pre-built ride I still remember by name, over 20 years later. If only for the simple fact that placing it always came with the knowledge that it wasn’t so much a matter of “if” but rather “when” it would inevitably crash and jumpscare me with the resulting explosion.
