Chapter 5: Real Monster
Chapter Summary: As Y/N becomes aware of the real monster in this case, Dean and Y/N have to rush over to Sam’s aid.

A/N: Okay, I know I am the worst, I am sorry! I had to take an extended break from writing in general, and then I had to get back into the groove of this but here's an update! Chapter 4 || Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Sam headed straight for the guidance counselor’s office, picking the lock and slipping into the room quietly.
He looked around before heading for a chest of drawers, rifling through the files and trying to find a Sarah Smith. “Hello, Sam?” Sam muttered to himself before closing the drawer. If there was anything to hide, the file wouldn’t be in an unlocked drawer.
He glanced around before he found what he had been looking for - a locked drawer tucked under the desk, almost invisible to anyone who didn’t know it was there, or who wasn’t looking for it.
“Come on.” He muttered to himself as he picked at the lock, taking longer than he’d expected, glancing up periodically.
Sam quickly rifled through the contents, finding a bunch of papers and spreading them all out onto the table that was in front of him, his eyes scanning as quickly as he could. There was something weird about all the papers laid out here in front of him now.
Sam bent down to look back in the drawer, noticing something small that must have dropped out of the bunch of papers when he’d taken them out and he frowned as he picked it up.
It looked like a handmade bracelet, one of those things that teenagers liked to make with their friends, but he didn’t have long to dwell on it.
Sam stuffed the bracelet into his pocket, but before he could pick up the notes, his head snapped up at a sound.
“What the hell are you doing in here?”
Crap, too late.
Tumblr media
“Y/N!” Dean yelled, watching you crumple to the ground just before the blinds fell, which only made Dean more nervous.
“Damn it!” Dean yelled, long forgetting that they’d sneaked in as he yelled. “Y/N!”
Dean threw his weight against the door but it wouldn’t budge. The unease settling in the pit of Dean’s stomach was new and kind of confusing, but right now all Dean could think of was getting through that door.
Dean threw himself against the door one last time, muttering to himself that he’d shoot the door down if he had to when the door creaked open and Dean tumbled through.
“What the hell…” Dean muttered but snapped his head up at where you were lying crumpled on the floor just a few feet away.
“Y/N!” Dean scrambled up and towards you, barely touching your arm before your eyes flew open.
“Y/N?”
You blinked, looking up at Dean before you looked wildly around the room. Dean shook his head. “She’s gone.” He said, bending down next to you.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Dean demanded.
You exhaled. “Dean.”
“What is it, Y/N?” Dean looked worried, as he peered at you.
“We got a problem. We gotta go get Sam.”
Tumblr media
Sam didn’t have an excuse for being here. His FBI badge wasn’t going to get him out of this one, that much he knew. At least he recognized the man standing in front of him now - the guidance counselor.
Sam was getting a bad hit so he really needed to make something up.
“Listen…”
But Sam didn’t have any time to get a word in as the guidance counselor pointed his gun right at Sam.
Sam exhaled as he put his hands up. “Andrew, right? Andrew Foster? Listen, I know my partner talked to you this morning. Why don’t you put down the gun, alright?”
Andrew, the guidance counselor, didn’t seem so harmless anymore. Sam narrowed his eyes, knowing there was no way he could reach for his gun without first getting shot but waiting around for you and Dean seemed a bit of a long shot, especially if the both of you were held up dealing with the ghost.
“You found the file.”
It was a statement, not a question and Sam was once again reminded why Dean always said he’d deal with monsters any day. Humans were just crazy.
Sam didn’t respond to Andrew’s statement, instead just watching him, and with barely any prompting from Sam, Andrew started talking.
“At first, it just happened and then I found myself being drawn to her. Things just spiraled out of control.” Andrew went on while Sam was putting the pieces together in his head.
“She wanted to stop. She wanted to report me. I didn’t have a choice, she forced my hand.” Andrew finished telling the story of how he’d taken advantage of the young and vulnerable Sarah and Sam had to take a breath so that he wouldn’t punch the lights out of the armed man standing in front of him.
Sam narrowed his eyes. “So basically you’re saying a teenager turned you into a sexual predator? How many other girls were there before Sarah? Girls that didn’t have the courage Sarah had to try and stop you?” Sam internally sighed, he hadn’t been able to curb it after all. Although he couldn’t imagine what would happen if it was Dean who was standing here now instead of him.
“That, you don’t need to know. I just wanted you to know what you’re dying for.” Andrew said, pulling up his gun now.
Andrew put his hand on the trigger and Sam ground his teeth together before there was another click.
“Drop it,” Dean growled, as Andrew felt the nozzle of Dean’s gun graze the back of his neck just slightly.
Dean held the gun just slightly away from the back of the guidance counselor’s neck, like a trained professional. You remembered that class when you’d been in the academy, the one where they’d taught all of you to stay a short distance away from whichever perp you’d be arresting, so he couldn’t twist the gun out of your hands too easily. You just wanted to give a dry laugh at this very thought. If only your instructor could see you now.
You stepped to the side just a little just in case Dean needed some space, peering in and breathing a sigh of relief to see Sam was standing and looking none the worse for wear.
“I said, drop the gun. Your finger so much as twitches, I’ll blow your damn brains out.” Dean growled, his eyes flicking up to Sam.
Andrew lowered the gun now, pulling his finger away from the trigger, glancing backward as far as he could at Dean. “I knew there was something about the way you were fishing for information. Walk away and no one gets hurt.”
Dean narrowed his eyes. “Big talk for a freaking perv.”
You’d filled Dean in as much as you could while the both of you ran to get Sam. There’d been something different about this ghost, and you’d been right. She hadn’t hurt you, she’d shown you - at least enough for you to know that Andrew was dangerous.
With a sudden motion, Andrew threw himself backwards against Dean, sending both their bodies tumbling onto the floor.
“Dean!” You yelled but even though you held your gun in your hand, there was no way you could shoot, not without the danger of accidentally shooting Dean as they struggled on the floor. Sam hurried forward towards you, opening his palm to show you the friendship bracelet.
“That’s it, Sam but…”
Your voice trailed off. “Alright, I’ll handle the ghost. The two of you…”
You nodded. “I’ll get the police here. Go.”
Sam nodded, heading a little way off so he could burn what was left of Sarah’s things. No matter what, Sarah was killing people and they had to stop her.
You ran into the office now, trying not to be distracted by the sound of the fighting outside, resisting the temptation to make sure neither Dean nor Sam was hurt. Blocking out the sounds you moved behind the desk, finding the phone under the scattered pieces of paper that Sam must have been sieving through.
You picked up the receiver, glad that at least this was working, quickly dialing in the number of the detective that you’d spoken to that morning when the three of you had visited the local precinct. Normally, the three of you avoided police interaction as much as possible save for the early part of the case, but in this case, the human was definitely more dangerous than the ghost lurking around. In fact, you were pretty sure the ghost problem would be solved once Andrew was taken care of.
“Detective, it’s Agent Day. Requesting local police assistance at the school. We have a…”
You were talking fast but apparently not fast enough.
“Y/N!” You heard Dean yell, followed closely by a gunshot.
You didn’t even look up as you dropped yourself to the ground, bringing the phone down with you with a distinct crash.
There were more scuffling sounds and you peered around to check.
“Sammy!” Dean yelled and you peered out from around the huge desk in the middle of the office.
Sarah had appeared right in front of Andrew, looking definitely like the vengeful spirit the three of you had been coming to hunt in the first place. Normally, the three of you would always try to keep the supernatural away from people, guilty or not, but Dean didn’t look particularly interested in getting the ghost to back off yet, considering Andrew had almost shot Sam just a few minutes ago.
Andrew was frozen, staring terrified at the face of the girl he had murdered and Sam paused, the lit lighter in one hand, the rest of her belongings in the bin in front of him, as if he was hesitating to put this spirit to rest.
Thank you.
Sarah’s voice washed over you as you watched her eyes tick up at you and she nodded at you like she was ready. You took a breath and nodded at Sam who now dropped the lighter into the bin and she disappeared.
Dean took the opportunity to hold Andrew down, as the police now swarmed in.
“Y/N?” Dean called.
“I’m okay!” You answered, and you could even hear Dean’s sigh of relief.
Tumblr media
The police had taken Andrew into custody immediately, Sam handing them all the evidence that they needed to put him away for good. Andrew’s face was still white as a sheet and you hoped the scumbag would never forget that moment, ever.
It was only when the three of you were climbing out of the Impala back at the bunker that Dean paused, turning to peer at you.
“Y/N, what the hell, you’re bleeding.”
You glanced down at your arm, a small patch of blood that had formed on your sleeve. “Oh.”
“Oh?” Dean repeated, looking at you incredulously as his voice rose. “Were you shot?”
Sam turned back as he heard Dean’s voice rise.
“I’m fine. It doesn’t really hurt.” You answered, although it gave a stupid throb as if it needed to prove you wrong.
You scowled down at it and Dean rolled his eyes.
“I’ll get the stuff,” Sam said, disappearing into the bunker ahead of the two of you, as Dean reached out for your arm gently and led you inside.
The bullet had grazed your arm but as you had been trying to explain to both Sam and Dean, it really hadn’t hurt. Dean gave you a look as you flinched while he was cleaning your wound. “Until now. Maybe it was the adrenaline or whatever.”
“I’ll go get some food. Be back in a bit.” Sam said as Dean nodded at him, and you heard Sam leave.
There was a silence after Sam left and you tried to focus on not flinching. “Y/N, it’s okay.” Dean said in a low voice.
You looked up at him.
“You don’t have to…” He paused. “Don’t hold it back. It’s okay to show you’re in pain.”
You blinked back at him.
Dean smiled. “Yes, I know I’m not the best person to preach this, but I’m serious. It’s okay.”
You gave Dean a look. “Dean, seriously. I wasn’t holding back, alright? I seriously didn’t feel it until we got back.”
Dean sighed. “Fine, but you have to tell me if you’re hurt alright? Otherwise you’re not coming out for hunts anymore.”
You glared at him and Dean shrugged. “That’s the way it is.”
You exhaled and nodded. “Yeah, I got it.”
Dean smiled, patting your head gently as he slapped on the bandage. “That’s the only way I can protect the both of you.”
You just smiled up at him, the warmth spreading in your chest once again. “Thanks, Dean.”

Chapter 2
Tumblr media
You ducked behind a tree, panting and looking around. Your hands were shaking even as your fingers closed around the holster of the gun you were holding.
Just a few months ago, you were just a normal family, with normal problems. You’d fought about stupid mundane things and in the space of one night, your life had shattered before your very eyes.
Monsters were real.
Those three words had resounded in your mind as you took off into the night with your sister, leaving your parents lying in a pool of their own blood, their eyes open and lifeless as your own little brother stood above them, his eyes black as charcoal.
You should have known something was wrong. Your brother had been weird for weeks, you’d just thought it was nothing, that he’d been in one of his fantasy play-pretends and you’d gone along with it. But it hadn’t been nothing.
“We’re only alive because you made it through the police academy.” Leah had repeatedly reminded you over the past few months, as the both of had tried to pick up the pieces but you knew it was useless, at least for you. You’d tried to get the both of you back into as normal a life as you could but it was like the attack had set a homing beam on the both of you, you’d run into supernatural creatures almost everywhere you’d turned.
Just like that, you and Leah had found yourselves stuck in a world that you’d never even known existed - full of spirits, monsters, creatures that had only existed in fantasy novels before that night. So you’d adapted and tried to learn as much as you could - about demons, possession, creatures in the dark, while you tried to piece together what had happened that night, that night that changed your life forever.
Now, three months later the demon had caught up to you and Leah, almost like it was playing a game of cat and mouse with you.
“Heard you were looking for me?” It sounded like your baby brother but it wasn’t. Not those charcoal black eyes or the curl of his lips. It wasn’t him.
You’d lost Leah in the mayhem and you sat panting, pressing your back against the tree trunk.
“Leah!” You hissed into the dark forest where the both of you had ended up, the demon hot on your heels.
You could feel the fear seep into your bones. You weren’t sure if you were more afraid for yourself or for Leah. Maybe both.
You climbed to your feet, taking a deep breath before you felt someone grab you.
You struggled, only making out the figure of a man standing in front of you. You could feel his large calloused hands on your skin as he put a hand over your mouth, his other hand looped around your back.
“We’re here to help, okay?” He whispered.
You blinked back at his green eyes and nodded as he quietly let you go. “Listen, I’m Dean. This is my brother, Sam. We’re here to help, alright? Are you alone?”
In any other situation, you might have noticed how gently he spoke, or how kind his eyes looked but you shook your head, almost feeling tears pooling in your eyes. “My sister…”
He exchanged a glance with the man he's introduced as Sam and nodded. “Alright, I want you to stay here…”
“Dean.” Sam interrupted, throwing his brother a look. “We’re in the middle of a forest.”
Dean nodded. “Right. Stay close, alright?”
You moved through the forest now. Dean and Sam looked like they knew what they were doing as you followed them now, which made you feel a little more confident. You just needed to find Leah. If you could find Leah, everything would be okay.
“Wait.”
You could feel the blood run cold in your veins. “No…”
You saw her now, lying in the middle of a small clearing, bathed in the moonlight. “Weren’t you looking for me?”
Your brother’s voice sent your blood curdling in your veins and you could feel the tears as you almost gasped for breath.
You watched almost in disbelief as Dean and Sam tucked their guns back into their pants. “What…” Were they a part of this whole thing all along?
Dean glanced back at you. “Guns aren’t going to work.” Almost as if he felt the need to explain to you what was going on, as Sam gawked at his brother like he couldn’t believe he was wasting time on this.
Sam pulled out a long knife, as did Dean.
“Now, now, boys. Play nice. You kill me, you kill poor little Seth.” The demon drawled.
Your heart gave a little twist. “Seth…”
Dean stepped forward, his knife held out in front of him like he hadn’t even heard anything the demon had said.
“My work here’s done. See you around kids.” He sneered before Seth’s head was thrown back and a gust of black smoke billowed out his mouth and up into the trees, Seth crumpling onto the floor, his body lifeless now.
You ran, shoving past Dean and Sam straight for your siblings.
“Leah!”
There was blood everywhere, across her mangled chest that looked like it had been clawed apart. “No, no… please… no…”
Leah’s eyes fluttered open and she smiled up at you.
“Leah, no…” You muttered, more to yourself than to her.
Leah grasped at your hand and smiled. “You live.” She whispered. “You don’t ever give up, you hear me?”
Tears were already blurring your vision. “You can’t… Leah, I only have you left. I can’t… Don’t…”
“I love you, Y/N.”
Those were the last words Leah ever said to you before the life left her body. You were shaking, but you turned to go to Seth when Dean held a hand to your shoulder and shook his head.
“But we didn’t…” You couldn’t understand it. The demon had definitely said that Seth would die if you killed it but you hadn’t killed it. None of you had.
Sam raised his head from where Seth lay. “I’m sorry.”
“No…” You lowered your head, feeling the grief overwhelm your body. You were literally all alone in this vast world. You had no one left in this world that had gotten ten times scarier than before.
“Hey, come on. We’ll help you.” Dean’s voice was in your ear.
They helped. Even though you didn’t know them, even though they didn’t even know your name, they carried your brother and sister to the outer edges of the clearing. You didn’t absorb everything Dean was telling you about what they called a hunter’s funeral, as they covered their bodies and lifted them onto a wooden platform they’d made.
You watched as they lit the fire, nodding to yourself as you talked to yourself in your head, turning everything over and over. But nothing was made clearer.
Dean glanced at you before he looked back at Sam. He wasn’t sure what it was about you that was tugging at his heartstrings but he couldn’t just leave you here.
“Hey, listen, is there anyone I can call?” Dean gently touched your arm.
You looked up at him, your eyes pooling with tears as you shook your head. “Everyone’s dead.” You whispered. “Seth… Leah… everyone…”
“Okay, okay, what’s your name?”
“Y/N.” You answered back, like a reflex.
Dean nodded, “Alright, Y/N. Let’s get you out of here first alright?” He moved to block the fire from your view now.
You looked up at him before your eyes rolled into the back of your head and you slumped forward.
Tumblr media
You woke to find yourself in a room and you sat up with a jerk.
“Woah, woah. It’s okay, you’re okay.” Dean held his hands out towards you.
“Dean…?”
Dean smiled a little and nodded.
“Where am I?” You asked.
Sam stood from where he was sitting in a corner of the room. “You passed out, probably from shock. It’d be hard to explain to the hospital staff what happened and we didn’t know where else to take you so you’re at our place.”
“You feeling okay?” Sam asked.
You shrugged. “Physically, yes. I didn’t get hurt.”
Dean and Sam helped you out of bed and showed you out of the room and into the hallway, leading you down into another room that resembled a library and meeting room smashed into one.
The brothers exchanged a look as you sat down and Sam cleared his throat. “I know you’ll have a lot of questions but before that you’re in our place so I’m sure you’ll understand if we have our own questions.”
You nodded absentmindedly.
You weren’t sure how long the three of you sat there, talking. You told them selective things about you, about what had happened, about Leah and about Seth. In turn, the Winchesters told you about the demon. They’d been tracking him for a while. All they really knew was that it was a demon called Corson and that he’d been doing this for a while. A demon.
You took this all in, your expression not changing.
“Why?” You asked.
Dean sighed and shrugged. “We don’t know either. There isn’t a clear pattern to anything this son of a bitch does. That’s why it’s so hard to track him.”
“So you guys are hunting him?” You asked, looking from Dean to Sam.
Sam nodded.
“I want in.”
Dean looked at you and looked like he was seriously considering it for a moment before he shook his head. “No, it’s too dangerous.”
You gave him a pointed look. “I’ve done dangerous.”
“That was barely the tip of the iceberg.” Dean snapped. “This will change you.”
“I’ve already changed. Everything has changed.” You answered, although your voice was low now and you didn’t look up at him. “I don’t have anywhere to go.”
“You can stay until the end of the week. But you have to find somewhere else to be.” Dean said, matter-of-factly before he walked out of the room, not even waiting for your response.
Tumblr media
“Dean.” Sam caught up to his older brother. “You know, I can empathize with her.”
Dean looked up at Sam.
“Dean, come on. Look at what demons did to our family.”
Dean gave Sam a pointed look. “And look where that’s got us. A lifetime of hunting evil sons-of-bitches. We’ve died more times than I can count, and that’s not even to mention the people we’ve gotten killed.”
Dean bit the inside of his cheek as he paused.
“I’m not ruining her life. Or getting her killed.”
Sam sighed but knew it was useless arguing with Dean. He turned back in your direction, he could just see the slight sagging of your shoulders as you sat at the table and sighed again. He knew Dean was right, that it’d be safer if you stayed out of senseless revenge fighting.

Chapter 3 || Chapter 5
Tumblr media
You looked out the window at the greenery that was shooting past you as Dean drove the Impala into town.
In a bid to get three of you out of the bunker and out of the crushing feeling of impossibility of tracking Corson down, Sam had found a case. Dean had glanced at you but nodded.
You weren’t really in the position to argue to be really honest. You’d barely felt like you started to belong with Dean and Sam, barely felt like they’d accepted you, so even if you were reluctant to put down the research, you did.
Kids had been dropping like flies at a high school, which normally wouldn’t have set off the ‘supernatural alarm’. Except Sam had noticed this time - the police couldn’t find anything, most of the deaths had happened behind closed doors with no signs of forced entry.
Dean pulled up at the first diner, glancing into the mirror, back at you. “Let’s go.”
You nodded, climbing out of the Impala, pushing open the door of the diner and sliding into a booth seat. Dean was right behind you sliding in next to you as Sam took the seat opposite.
“Alright, look. Three kids from the same school, all dead in the past week. There’s something going on here.”
Dean nodded, waving at the waitress to bring you all coffee. “We let you drag our asses down here, we get it.”
You smiled. The word ‘we’ had a nice ring to it. It wasn’t the first time Dean or Sam had used it to describe you and them but it was mostly in the context of a hunt, while they were speaking to others, so you liked that Dean had grouped you with him while talking to Sam today.
Sam handed you the papers and you nodded. “They’re looking at this as suicides, aren’t they?”
Sam raised his eyebrow. “How did you guess?”
Dean smiled, flashing you a smile and winking. “She’s a freaking genius, that’s how. You’re not the only genius anymore, Sammy.” He lightly teased his younger brother.
You laughed. “It’s this thing they taught us in the academy.” You paused. Thinking about the academy still gave your heart a twist sometimes, it felt like a lifetime away, but you could still remember the shout of glee Leah had let out when you’d told her, the proud smiles of your parents.
You cleared your throat, realising you’d let the pause hang on too long. Sam just gave you a smile, Dean took a sip of his coffee, as if the pause hadn’t even happened.
“We had a whole class on trying to differentiate crimes made to look like suicides, and actual suicides. It drove me crazy. So three kids? Same cause of death?”
Sam shook his head. “First one, Charlie Moore, was found hanging from a tree, above the soccer field. Then Kate Morgan drowned in the toilet bowl.”
Dean made a face. “For real?”
You glanced at the clippings in front of you. “Seriously? They think the head cheerleader’s gonna drown herself in the toilet bowl? There are more graceful ways for her to die.”
“Third kid, Daniel Hill, apparently suffocated in his locker.” You commented, pushing the paper towards Dean.
“What the hell.” Dean exhaled.
“Alright, we’ll hit the school first.” Dean said, draining his cup of coffee.
You looked up at him. “All of us?”
Dean smiled. “Ready, Agent?”
You grinned back at him.
Tumblr media
You slowed as you reached the main doors of the high school.
“You okay?” Dean touched your elbow gently.
You smiled and nodded. “Yeah, I just... thought of Leah.”
Dean gave you a small smile and patted you on the back. You shook your head. “My head’s in the game, I got this.”
“I know.” Dean responded, squeezing your shoulder and allowing you to take the lead into the school and into the main office at the front of the school.
You pulled out your badge. “I’m Agent Day, these are my colleagues Agent Rogers and Fletcher.” You pointed to Dean and Sam. “We’re here to see Principal Jones.”
She nodded, her eyes glancing over your badges before she pointed to the seats to have you wait.
It was merely minutes before the principal was stepping out of his office, offering his hand to Dean first even though you’d stepped up. You mentally rolled your eyes. Typical. He shook Dean’s hand, then Sam’s, almost glazing over you before Sam cleared his throat. “This is Agent Day.”
Principal Jones paused, before he realised what he’d done. “Forgive me, Miss.”
“It’s Agent, thanks.” You snapped, catching the nasty thought in your head that it was no wonder crappy things were happening in this school.
Dean reached over and squeezed your hand, making you look up in a little surprise as you felt something almost like an electrical surge travel through your body at Dean’s touch. You’d grown close to the Winchesters, and although Sam was outwardly much warmer than Dean, you’d always felt more connected to Dean, even when he’d been less than friendly for the first few weeks.
Even so, Dean had never made such intimate physical contact with you. Not really. He’d ruffle your hair, put his hand on your head kind of affectionately, he’d even give you a hug but nothing that felt as intimate as him holding your hand.
There were only two chairs in the room but Dean and Sam took them as you stood behind them. It had its intended effect, coupled with how you’d snapped at him earlier. Jones avoided eye contact with you, but it was different now, it held a tinge of embarrassment.
“Why is the FBI investigating a case of high school suicide?” Principal Jones asked now, and you could even hear defensiveness now.
Sam raised an eyebrow. “Because it isn’t one suicide. These are kids.”
Jones cleared his throat. “Yes, of course.”
“We’ll need their files, and we’ll need to interview faculty and students.” You told him.
Jones looked at Dean, as if he was confirming what you’d asked for. Dean raised his eyebrows. “What she said.” He said, letting a tone of annoyance slip past his lips.
Jones showed you out of his office, directing you to the student counselor, who was supposed to know the kids better.
“What a dick.” Dean muttered under his breath as he left.
Sam rolled his eyes in agreement with Dean.
You smiled.
Tumblr media
The three of you had split up.
The school had arranged for student interviews, so you’d headed towards the girls' classrooms, while Sam headed for the boys. Dean had said he’d go speak to the counselor.
You sat across from a girl who had obvious highlight streaks in her hair and who just looked bored.
“Did you know Kate Morgan well?” You asked, looking up at her.
She shrugged. “Just that she’s a bitch.”
You raised your eyebrows. “A bitch?”
“You know the type, they strut around school like they own the whole damn building. I kept out of her way and these definitely helped.” She pointed to her highlights and her piercings.
“So she was a bully?” You asked.
The girl shrugged again. “I guess. She kept a lower profile after Sarah died. But that didn’t last for long either.”
You frowned. You remembered Sam saying the other two victims were boys. “Sarah?”
The girl pressed her lips together before she leaned closer. “Sarah Smith.” She pushed herself out from the seat and walked out.
You quickly pulled out your phone, sending Dean a text.
Sarah Smith.
You looked up just as another girl took the seat across from you. The last interview for today at least. She was quiet and didn’t have an air of confidence about her, so you smiled at her. “Hey, don't be nervous alright? We just have a few questions.”
She nodded and smiled back at you tentatively.
“So, did you know Kate Morgan?” You prompted gently.
She looked up at you, readjusting the glasses sitting on her nose. “Everyone did.” She answered quietly. “But she didn’t talk to me. Just Sarah.”
Your eyebrows shot up now, this was the second time you were hearing her name. “Sarah?”
“Sarah Smith. We were… friends.” She answered, her voice going even softer.
You fell quiet for a bit. “What happened to Sarah?”
The girl sitting in front of you looked up towards you quietly. “They just told us she died.”
She looked like she was hesitating so you leaned forward. “Do you know something?”
She shook her head. “Just that I don’t think Sarah killed herself.”
You sighed. “Has there been anything weird happening at school recently?”
“Weird?”
You nodded, “Like things that can’t be explained, cold spots in the school?”
She frowned but shook her head. “No.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Tumblr media
Sam hadn’t had much luck with the other kids too, the other kids didn’t seem to want to talk much, at least not about the three victims, but Sam and you had both picked up on one thing.
“I think the three of them are bullies.” You said, leaning back in your chair and looking back at Sam and Dean. Dean’s eyebrows shot up but Sam nodded. “I got that vibe, but the boys didn’t say much.”
You looked up at Dean, now. “How was the counselor?”
“Guy’s freaking weird.” Dean made a face. “He gave me these but Sarah Smith? He fed me some cock-and-bull about the records getting lost or filed away, he could barely keep the story straight.”
You didn’t say anything, not even looking up until Dean waved at you. “Yoohoo, Y/N?”
You blinked. “Sorry. Two girls mentioned Sarah’s death and it’s just a theory but I think Sarah was being bullied.”
You looked up at Sam. “And if these kids are bullies...”
“You think we’re dealing with Sarah’s ghost?” Sam asked.
“And she’s going after her bullies.” Dean said.
You sighed, “I hate this case already.”
Tumblr media
Sam had stayed behind to do more research so you’d set off for Sarah's house with Dean.
Dean knocked, glancing at you, right before the door was opened. “Mrs Smith?”
The older woman nodded her head at Dean, a puzzled expression on her face.
“We’re from the Education Department. Can we come in?” You asked, and you saw her face change a little before she stepped back.
“Come on in.”
You followed her into her sitting room, your eyes lighting on the photos of her with a younger girl, which must have been Sarah. You really hated this part.
Dean reached over, discreetly patting your hand to tell you he’d lead it as the both of you sat down, which you were thankful for.
“Mrs Smith, we’re here about Sarah. Can you tell us more about her? How did she feel about school, maybe?” Dean asked.
Your eyes scanned the room, like you’d been trained to do at the academy, but better still, like how the Winchesters had taught you.
Sarah was obviously extremely loved as an only child and her mother had kept up all the photos of her around their living room. You listened as she tried to tell Dean about Sarah, about how Sarah had always been a girl that was full of life and was like a beam of sunshine, until the last three months. She told the both of you how she’d been told that Sarah had killed herself and how she hadn’t been able to bring herself to go to the school to get Sarah’s things yet.
You sat up a little straighter. “I could tell something was going on, but she’s a teenager. She stopped talking to me. I thought it was about a boy or you know, that she’d fought with a friend, but I didn’t think…” Her voice broke and you reached over to hold her hand.
“So you buried her?” Dean asked.
You glanced alarmingly at Dean as Mrs Smith frowned at the strange question. “No, we cremated her. What does that…”
You turned back to her and just gave her a small smile. “Thank you for seeing us, Mrs Smith.”
“They told me Sarah killed herself. Does this mean…”
You exchanged a look with Dean and shook your head. “No, I’m sorry. They just sent us out to follow up with the school.”
“Because of the other kids?” She asked, her voice holding a tinge of sadness.
“And Sarah. Because of all of them.” You told her.
Tumblr media
Sam turned towards the door as he heard it open. “Hey, anything?”
You gave him a totally insincere smile. “Cremated.”
Sam groaned.
“So what do you think? Is it Sarah?” You leaned over Sam, reading over his shoulder before you groaned. “The kids were right, Kate Morgan was a bitch.”
Dean couldn’t help the chuckle. “So let’s hit the school tonight.”
“And find what, Dean? What the hell are we supposed to burn?” Sam asked.
Dean sighed as he sat himself on the edge of his bed.
“Alright, let’s do it.” You said, turning to look at Dean. “We’ll find her locker, maybe there’s something there and we can hit the counselor’s office and look for her file too.”
Tumblr media
The three of you made your way into the high school like how you always did, the boys making sure you were in the middle. At first, it had seemed like they didn’t trust you, but you’d realized later that they were keeping you safe in their own way.
Sam opened the door, letting you and Dean slip in as he closed the door again.
You made your way through the school quietly, Sam headed for the counselor’s office while you headed straight for where you remembered the lockers were. You picked at the lock, opening the locker quickly. It swung open and your eyes fell on the journal immediately.
“Dean, light.”
Dean scooted closer towards you and you fingered through the pages, stopping at a later entry - about the bullying, about how they’d turned on her when they were supposed to be her friends. You turned your eyes up towards Dean, who was also scanning the page.
“Kids are horrible.” You whispered.
Dean looked at you.
“Kids are horrible.” You repeated. They were. You’d never experienced the extent of what Kate had, never had a group of kids tie you to a tree or stuff you into your locker for a whole period, but you knew how torturous high school could be.
“Yeah, Sam kind of…” Dean trailed off, shining the torch down the aisle.
You leafed through the diary faster, your eyes scanning the pages even more quickly now.
He took my friendship bracelet.
“Friendship bracelet.” You muttered. “They took it from her.”
“How the hell are we supposed to find a friendship bracelet?” Dean snapped.
“I don’t know. Let’s just… come on let’s go see if Sam found her file.” You said, moving forward.
You’d made it barely halfway across the hall when you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand. Dean turned to look at you, holding his gun out, a sudden force knocking you backwards, tumbling into the classroom behind you.
“Y/N!” Dean yelled, as you heard the door shut and the lock click into place.
Dean rushed against the door, peering in through the small window each classroom door had.
You recognized her from the photos in her living room.
Sarah.
You reached for your gun but she rushed at you, taking your head in her hands. You felt a weird sensation before your eyes rolled and you felt it wash over you as your body lost its energy and you crumpled onto the ground, Dean's muffled voice on the other side of the door the last thing you heard.

SERIES MASTERLIST || DEAN WINCHESTER MASTERLIST
Chapter 1 || Chapter 3
Tumblr media
It had been six months since that day. Six months since you’d lost Leah and Seth. Six months since meeting the Winchesters. Six months since Dean had told you to get out after a week.
You were still here.
You weren’t sure if Sam had managed to convince Dean to let you stay or if Dean just hadn’t had the heart to throw you out on your ass but a week passed, and then two, and now you were on your sixth month.
You hadn’t been idling either. By the second week, you’d started helping Sam with research because as he said, it was the fastest way to learn about all the different kinds of lore. Within that same week, Dean had taken you out to teach you how to shoot. You still smiled when you remembered how his eyebrows ticked up when you’d fired prefect shots. “I was the best shot in the academy.” You told him triumphantly.
You’d pulled your weight and Dean seemed to have relented although he didn’t say much. Sam had cleared out a room for you and you’d forged a pretty good partnership and friendship with the brothers.
After staying back for research for the first month and a half, Sam had pushed for you to go on a hunt with them. Dean hadn’t responded, merely closing the door to the Impala. You’d hesitated until he wound down his window. “You coming or what?”
You still remembered that first time you felt it, a sense of belonging. You hunted with them, you ate with them, you got to come home back to the bunker with them. And you’d be eternally grateful to them for that. Eternally.
Sam walked in with his laptop at that moment, snapping you out of your thoughts. “Hey, I think I got something.”
You nodded, pushing aside the papers strewn across the table that was full of research on demons. Sam gave you a look but didn’t pursue it, instead putting the laptop down on the table.
“We’ve got people vanishing into thin air here.” Sam said, showing you the articles as Dean walked in.
“We got a case?” Dean asked, heading towards the both of you, leaning above you to read the screen, squinting. “You sure this is up our alley?”
Sam pointed. “I think it’s worth checking out.” He paused, “Look, we’re not really heading anywhere with... Let’s just check this out. A case is a case."
Dean nodded. “Alright, we’ll head out in ten.” He eyed the papers on the table before smiling at you. “You good?”
You smiled back at him and nodded.
Dean had intrigued you from the first moment you met him. He’d been a little harsh with his words sometimes, but it hadn't lasted. He’d always struck you as someone who cared deeply about others and you weren't sure when it had begun, but Dean had considerably softened with you.
Sometimes when you watched Dean and Sam’s interaction, it made you miss Leah and Seth so much that you had to tear your eyes away from them.
You looked up to where Sam and Dean were already bickering in the front seat of the Impala now and reached for the tablet to take your mind off anything else.
“Y/N, what do we have?” Dean called, looking at you through his mirror.
You smiled. A part of you knew that he was just asking you to involve you in the case and it was cute that they made such an effort.
“So this guy, Samuel Ross.” You flipped through the papers strewn across the backseat. “He went for a hike and he just disappeared.”
Dean furrowed his brow. “Disappeared, like...?”
You shrugged. “Like no one’s heard back from him for a week.”
Sam looked at Dean. “Doesn’t this remind you of that case at Blackwater?”
Dean just nodded, turning his eyes back towards the road without saying anything.
“Blackwater?” You asked a little cautiously. You were always a little careful about asking questions, just in case.
Sam turned his body slightly towards you and nodded, launching into the story. You liked it when Dean or Sam, usually Sam, told you about their old hunts. You felt like you learnt new things with every story that they told, although Dean said that was impossible since you had to be out on actual hunts to learn new things.
Tumblr media
“Ranger Rory Allen.” Dean flashed his badge. “My partners Jacob Cole and Ava Patel.”
The park ranger on duty frowned. “HQ sent us.” Sam added quickly, as both of you showed your badges as well.
“Why would HQ send another three rangers?”
Dean and Sam looked at each other. “HQ’s concerned about the missing people.” You spoke, as Dean gave you an alarmed look. You ignored him and continued, “Samuel Ross isn’t the only one missing, is he?”
The ranger looked at you, his expression changing to a sheepish one. “HQ doesn’t miss anything, huh?”
Dean flashed you a thumbs up from behind his back and you had to stop yourself from smiling, working to keep a straight face.
Sam and Dean sat down and asked questions as you looked around the room, studying the map that was pinned up in the room.
“I think that’s all the questions we have for now. We’ll head out tomorrow to start a search party of our own.” Sam stood, nodding at you.
“Do you have a copy of this map?” You asked, pointing.
You walked out of the ranger’s office, Sam and Dean leading the way. You were already holding the copy of the map you’d asked for.
“That was freaking smooth in there, Y/N.” Dean commented, giving you a wide smile.
You grinned back. “Told you I can be an asset.”
“Told you she’s a natural.” Sam chimed in.
Tumblr media
The next morning, the three of you had an early start, heading straight for the trail. You’d spent most of the night committing the map to heart so that the three of you weren’t slowed down by having to refer to it.
You paused at the line of the first trees. This was the first time you were coming anywhere near a forest since that night. Your eyes traced the skyline, the tops of the trees gently blowing in the wind.
“Y/N, you coming?” Sam asked.
You didn’t respond.
“Hey.” Dean’s hand was on your back now, his green eyes trying to read you. Your eyes flicked to his. “You want to sit this one out?” He asked gently.
You shook your head. “No, I’m fine. I just… I just need a moment.”
You couldn’t back out now. The boys were counting on you and besides, you couldn’t be dead weight. Not after everything they’d done for you.
“Let’s go.” You announced, tearing your eyes away from the trees. You’d be fine if you just focused.
Dean looked like he was about to say something but nodded as you picked up your steps to catch up with Sam.
Dean watched you jog to catch up with Sam. Anyone else who met you wouldn’t have known or guessed the circumstances you’d been forced into, they’d never have known this girl with sparkling eyes had seen or experienced things anyone else couldn’t have dreamed of.
Dean furrowed his brows a little, worried. You hadn’t given yourself a chance to grieve, to properly process the fact that you’d lost all your family members in the matter of a few months. Dean knew what it was like, of course he did. Whether it be the first time he felt Sam grow limp in his arms, or the time that he literally watched Sam fall into Hell, he knew. He knew what it meant to be the older sibling and feel like you’d failed your younger ones. But above all, Dean knew the desperation of wanting to bury those feelings. So he'd never broached the subject with you, just watching you carefully and making sure he was close by.
“You coming?” Sam asked, cocking an eyebrow.
Dean cleared his throat and moved, heading towards you and Sam. You knew his eyes lingered on you but you didn’t say anything, waiting until he caught up before the three of you headed deeper into the woods.
Tumblr media
“Do you really think it’s a wendigo?” You asked Sam, as you looked around.
You weren’t new to hiking or even camping. Your dad had loved it, he’d been taking you guys out to treks and mountains since you were kids. And you’d always been proud of the fact that you knew how to survive outside. Or so you thought.
You swallowed down the thought and turned your head up towards the sky. You’d been in here for hours, you could already see the color of the sky start to change.
“Where the hell did he set up camp?” Dean almost growled. His patience had been teetering for a while so you weren’t surprised.
“He had a few days start.” You reminded Dean, as you spotted something between the trees. “Guys?” You pointed.
To anyone else, it might have looked like a wild animal had trampled through the campsite, but new as you were to hunting and the whole ‘monsters are real’ thing, you could tell this was no animal.
You took your gun out. It had been a gift from Dean after you’d shown them what a natural you were with a gun.
After being satisfied that there was nothing still lurking around the campsite, you tucked your gun into your pants and looked around at the carnage. There was a patch of blood-stained grass and an obvious tear in the fallen tent.
“This was no wild animal.” You muttered.
Dean nodded, suddenly swiveling his head towards the trees.
“Dean?” Sam asked.
Dean put his hand up.
The three of you listened. There was definitely something. Something that sounded suspiciously like a growl.
“Alright, let’s get out of here first. We have no freaking idea what we’re dealing with. Y/N, do you know…”
You nodded, glad you’d taken the time to memorize the map. “Come on.” You led the way out, picking up the pace as you headed deeper into the forest.

There Will Be Peace (3): One Of Us
Tumblr media
Chapter 3: One Of Us
Chapter Summary: Y/N deals with her emotions in the aftermath of the hunt and Dean opens up a little more to Y/N.
Word Count: 2,016
Warnings: canon-typical injuries, meltdown
A/N: Sorry that this took a while! Feeling my way through this fic so I hope this next part turned out well!
SERIES MASTERLIST || DEAN WINCHESTER MASTERLIST
Chapter 2 || Chapter 4
Tumblr media
You’d barely made it out of the mangled clearing when you heard a faint voice.
“You guys hear that?” You asked, looking from Dean to Sam.
Dean was swinging his head from side to side, looking around before he stepped back. You followed his cue without him saying anything, almost like you’d been hunting with him for years. You stepped backwards as well, the three of you bumping your backs together.
“Stay sharp.” Dean muttered, which you knew he was kind of directing at you. As if Sam needed reminding.
“Alright, let’s move.” Sam urged. “It’s getting dark.”
Dean nodded and you quickly followed, until the three of you made it into another small area. “Alright, this will do. Why don’t you help me with the Anasazi symbols?”
You nodded, knowing you needed to hurry. The both of you started off at opposite ends, Dean glancing up halfway to look over, much like a teacher surveying his student’s progress and smiled. “There you go.”
You rolled your eyes a little. “Told you I’m a quick study.”
If you didn’t know any better, you’d think the wendigo knew exactly what the three of you doing. Before you could finish off what you were working on, it roared, and you looked up.
“Y/N!” Sam yelled.
You dropped to the ground, rolling away, reaching for the flare gun that you had tucked into your boot this morning.
“Sammy!” Dean yelled now as the wendigo turned towards Sam.
“Hey!” You yelled as the wendigo paused and you shot your flare gun, hitting it square in the chest.
Sam flinched covering his face as the wendigo burst into flames.
You sank back down onto the ground, letting your hands fall to your sides, your heart still pumping wildly.
“Y/N, you okay?” Dean called and you put a thumbs up.
“Just catching my breath. That was…”
“Badass, Y/N. You rocked it.” Sam responded.
Dean headed back over to you and smiled, offering you a hand and pulling you back up. He didn’t say anything, but even you could tell Dean was proud of how you’d handled yourself today, plus saving Sam was always bonus points.
You didn’t even notice the small scrapes along your arm until you’d made it back to your motel room.
You’d barely finished washing out the scrapes when it hit you, all the emotions that had been running amok in your head since you stood at the edge of that forest.
Finally, it broke.
You sank onto the ground in the middle of your motel room, sobbing. You couldn’t get it out of your head, you’d spent the past few months pushing down all the grief you had about losing your family, especially your siblings - the nightmares of Seth’s blood-stained hands, the little smirk he had on as he stood over the dead bodies of your family members, the smell of blood as you held Leah’s hand, feeling the life leave her body.
“Y/N?”
You could hear Dean’s voice outside your door but you couldn’t answer him. You couldn’t gain back control of the sobs that had overtaken your body.
“Y/N!” Dean’s voice went up a little, the way he did when he was concerned but you still couldn’t answer him.
Tumblr media
Dean stood outside your door, wondering if he should break it down.
“Dean? What’s…?” Sam asked, just as Dean raised his leg. If Dean hadn’t been so worried about you it might have been funny - Sam looking at him confused while Dean stood, his leg raised in mid-air in front of your motel door.
“She’s not answering the door.” Dean answered.
Sam’s hand went to his gun automatically, nodding at Dean.
Dean kicked, the door staying on its hinges but springing open. Sam raised his gun, only lowering it when he realized you were alone in the empty room.
You were seated in the middle of the motel room, your knees scrunched up against you, your head lowered and resting on your knees, your body shaking uncontrollably. Dean headed straight for you, bending down next to you.
“Y/N?”
You didn’t look up, just sobbed louder.
“Alright, it’s okay, we’re here. We’re here.” Dean whispered, putting an arm around you. “Let it out.”
You couldn’t stop even if you wanted to. Gently, Dean pulled you towards him, patting you gently, tucking your head under his chin and cradling your head as you now sobbed into his chest, your hand closing around the shirt he had on, the material crumpling into your palm.
“It’s alright, I know.” Dean whispered as he felt your body shake against his. “It’s okay, I got you.”
You cried and cried. You cried about losing your parents, you cried about not protecting Seth and not knowing what Seth had been through for those few months after you’d taken off with Leah. You cried about all the times you’d snapped at Leah and you cried about losing Leah, your sister and best friend.
You cried about everything your life had become and all that came out from your lips was heart wrenching sob after sob while Dean cradled you, patting your back gently.
You wanted to pull back, you didn’t want to let Sam and Dean see the wreckage you were but you couldn’t even physically control your body anymore.
It was a whole while later when your body finally stopped and you slowly fell limp in Dean’s arms, whatever remaining energy you had had from the hunt zapped clean from your meltdown.
“Y/N?” Dean helped you up to look at you. “Alright, let’s get you into bed.”
Dean helped you up, Sam coming around to help the only indication he’d been in the room too.
The boys exchanged a look but Dean just patted your head gently. “Sleep.” He whispered.
Your hand twitched, like you’d wanted to reach out and ask one of them to stay. You didn’t really care who, you just weren’t confident about what would happen if they’d left you alone in the motel room.
Dean’s eyes flicked to yours and then up to Sam.
Sam patted your arm gently. “We’re not going anywhere.”
True to their word, the boys stayed. They’d taken turns to sleep in the other single bed in the room. You could always see one of their silhouettes sitting up in the chair when you shifted in your sleep.
But when you woke up the next morning, you were so embarrassed that you didn’t really want to get up. You could hear them shuffling around and speaking in low voices before you heard the door click and thought they’d left to get their stuff. You’d opened your eyes only to see Sam sitting at the table.
You closed your eyes in despair.
“Hey.” Sam got up and headed towards you, sitting himself on the other bed. “We’re heading back to the bunker.”
You looked up, slightly surprised he hadn’t tried to ask if you were okay. Well, no one in your shoes could possibly be. But still.
Sam’s hazel eyes studied you for a while more before he patted your head gently. “If you need to talk, you know where I am.” He said in a low voice, smiling and pushing himself off the bed as the door opened again.
“Let’s hit the road.” Dean’s eyes landed on you a little longer than he usually did before he turned and headed back down to the Impala.
Tumblr media
You’d been grateful to the Winchesters for how they’d handled your meltdown. They hadn’t hovered like how you were afraid they would. They’d left you to pick yourself up, while staying just slightly in the shadows, just within reach.
It was pretty amazing how the three of you had reached this level of mutual understanding. It was hard to believe just six months ago you didn’t know of each other’s existence.
Dean put a cup of hot chocolate in front of you and you looked up, smiling. “Thanks.” Dean smiled at you, taking a swig from the beer bottle in his hand before looking back at the computer screen in front of you.
You had no idea how long the three of you sat there, Dean across from you and Sam next to you, typing on the laptop, trying to look for demonic omens.
“Electric storms?” You asked.
Sam nodded a little absentmindedly. “Yeah, that’s how we tracked Yellow…” He trailed off, as Dean looked up.
You knew better than to ask so you just looked away.
The moment was broken when you heard the door of the bunker close.
Dean turned. “Cas?”
“Hey.”
“Hey Cas.” You smiled.
You could still remember the first time you’d seen Cas. Following the sound of flapping wings, he had appeared all of a sudden, causing you to almost literally jump out of your own skin. Sam had to take you aside and calm you down for about ten minutes while Dean nagged at Cas about having already told him about this.
You thought you were surprised when monsters were real? Surprise, surprise. Here was an angel standing right in front of you.
“Anything?” Dean asked, swiveling around to look at Castiel.
Castiel shook his head. “The angels have been talking but no one knows much about Corson. He wasn’t on the radar, which could only mean he was a low-level demon.”
“Well he’s not low-level now.” Sam emphasized.
Dean rolled his eyes. “Thank you, Captain Obvious, as usual.”
Tumblr media
You were still sitting in the library a few hours later.
“Hey, not sleeping?”
You had jumped a little, although you tried to hide it from Dean.
Dean studied you for a while more before he slid into the seat across from you.
“The lore doesn’t tell me anything.” You said quietly after a prolonged silence.
Dean sat up, frowning just slightly as he tried to make sense of what you were saying.
“It doesn’t tell me about Corson, it doesn’t tell me why he killed my family, it doesn’t tell me where to find him.” You said, turning your eyes up to look at Dean now. “How do you do this?”
Dean sighed, bringing his hands up to run over his mouth. “You know what Sam said earlier? Yellow?”
You nodded.
“The end of that sentence is eyes. Yellow Eyes. We called him that since we didn’t know his name when we were hunting him early on.” Dean paused. “He killed our parents. He set Sam’s nursery on fire, while my mother…”
“Sorry.” You mumbled.
Dean shook his head. “My point is demons do these things. They have their own twisted world and sometimes they do things for kicks.”
You sighed. “So was there a reason?”
Dean looked at you.
“You don’t have to tell me, I just…”
Dean shook his head. “He did. He wanted to… he wanted Sam. He wanted to turn Sam into some weird psychic, some special child crap to let…” He trailed off as he watched the expression on your face change.
“Whatever. We’re going to find Corson. We’re going to find him and we are going to kill him.” Dean said, steeling his gaze against you. And you knew, you knew Dean was right. Or at least you knew he believed what he said.
“Thanks, Dean.”
Dean glanced at you, raising an eyebrow.
You shrugged, “Thanks for telling me. I mean, you didn’t have to and I…”
Dean let out a smile. “You’re one of us now, and figured it’s time you knew as well. It’s not some huge secret, I just... I don’t like to talk about it but I just wanted you to know you’re not alone.” He paused. “Not anymore.”
You blinked back at Dean. “One of…”
Dean pushed back the chair and looped around you, pausing next to you.
Dean put a gentle hand on your head. “Get some sleep.” He told you in a low voice before you watched him exit the library and head back to his room, leaving you only with a warm feeling in your chest that you hadn’t felt in a long time.

Omg I love this fic so much!!! This is an amazing start omg I'm already genuinely so invested! :D (also I've never used Tumblr asks b4, but I clicked the link so I hope I did this right-) also omg I love how Y/N kinda figured some of it out on her own. Like, of course Sam and Dean need to elaborate, but because of everything that happened, Y/N already knows a bit about the Supernatural and that's genuinely so cool to me. Fhwkfjdknrn I can't with words, but I'm a huge fan of this so far! :D
!!!! You are too kind and sweet!
This is exactly what I mean when I say it takes just one. It just takes one comment like this to make me feel very excited and motivated to continue writing!!
Thank you so much for reading and liking this first chapter! Please bear with me, updates might be slow but im so motivated and excited to get this moving!
(Also you did this ask perfectly, thank you for taking the time to send me this!)
