DAY LATE BUT HAPPY 20TH BATTLE CATS

I'm only posting art bc it's the 20th birthday I wouldn't follow me for more lol

Kitty!! This is Grimm. I love him. Sometimes I like to mildly confuse/alarm my living cats by holding him in front of their face and make them contemplate their own mortality. They don’t get it.

"Guts, I haven't seen him all day" Davy mumbles sounding sad "He's probably running after a rat or something" Guts pats Davy's back as he went to get a popsicle out of Harv's mini freezer "Holy shit" he leaps backwards crashing through a wooden table. "What? Holy f-" "What are you two doing in here?" Harv seemed to appear out of nowhere "What did you do to my cat?!" "Poor guy got his head stuck in a jar and suffocated" Harv explains "No, no you killed him, you killed my cat" Davy cries out as Guts pulls him into a hug "I did not! He knocked over the trash, to be honest you hyped up how smart Hunter was only for him to get his head stuck in a jar" "Why did you call one of us?" Guts asks softly rubbing Davy's back "I was busy pushing bodies around as you know well" "A note would have been nice" "And what would a note say Guts? 'Dead Cat; details later'?" Harv crosses his arms kicking the freezer shut "I knew how much that cat meant to Davy, I didn't want him to find the cat like that" "I..." "Gus I'd never kill a pet, that is under me" Harv leans against the mini freezer watching the other two "I thought Davy would like to bury Hunter" Harv lowers his head, getting sympathy from Guts "He was just trying to be nice Davy, he would have told you if he wasn't working, I know he would have" Guts starts "We can bury him and I'll get you some other pet" he finishes "Okay" Davy looks down "Apologize" Guts nudged both of his friends "I'm sorry for not telling you about Hunter sooner" Harv says softly "I'm sorry for assuming you killed my cat" Davy mumbles "It's okay" Harv says rubbing Davy's shoulder "After my next shift, I'll help you bury him you want" Harv offers but Davy shook his head "No I want Guts to help me" "That's okay"

It was a little crowded at the fish port. So here’s a little color study of some Mayamaya on display.

They’re actually called Bukaw-bukaw according to my parents lmao. They also said the fish got its name because of the eyes. They’re huge just like an owl’s and in Hiligaynon owls = bukaw. The fish is also a fave of my lolo’s and tita to grill/sugba.
