Puppies!

Actually, while it's been awhile since I revisited this AU, I recalled that I mentioned that Barnaby's puppeeter had two sons, so I thought it was time to introduce them.... as well as their counterparts, who can exist outside this AU.

Michael and Avery Donovan–twin sons to George Donovan, age 6. Michael was said to be the shy twin while Avery was known to be a bit more outgoing. They had visited the studio quite a few times and gotten along with the puppeters. Details revealed that they were present the day the staff disapeared and had vanished alongside their father.

Benny and Billy Beagle–Barnaby's adorable twin puppies. Benny is the quiet one in the green and purple stripped shirt, while Billy is the energetic one in the red and orange stripped shirt. These 'prankster pups' share their dad's sense of humor and like to play funny (but safe and good natured) pranks upon the unsupecting residents of Welcome Home. You never know what to expect when you cross paths with these two. (Their favorite neighbor is Julie and their favorite 'target' is Frank (much to his dismay)).

Also a bonus 'what if' of George saving Walter (Wally's puppeteer) because sometimes you want to have fun with those and get good use out of a meme.

Warnings: captivity, torture, restraints, blood, aftermath of torture, unclear character status

Team Leader was like an approaching storm as they raced to Whumper's compound. They had, of course, been lured to the wrong location. Whumper had tricked them, confronted them far away from where Smallest Teammate was. From where Whumper had tortured Smallest Teammate for days.

Fortunately, Team Leader knew that it was a distinct possibility that Whumper would send them in the wrong direction. And so they had sent Teammate One and Teammate Two to where they suspected Whumpee was being held.

"Where are they? Where are they?" Team Leader shouted as they ran through the hallway to where they could see Teammate One was waiting for them. Where was Teammate Two? Where was Smallest Teammate?

Teammate One held up a hand to stop Team Leader. "I...I can't let you in here, Team Leader." Teammate One's voice was careful, their eyes tight.

Team Leader tried to get around Teammate One, but Teammate One grabbed their shoulders. "Team Leader, please, listen to me."

"Where is Smallest Teammate? Where are they?" Team Leader couldn't keep their fear out of their voice. They could see blood stained tiles in the room just beyond. Could see Teammate Two's back as they knelt near the bloodied tiles. Teammate Two's broad back obscured most of Team Leader's view. What had happened here?

"Team Leader," Teammate One's voice broke, "we need to talk about Smallest Teammate."

At Teammate One's words, Team Leader froze. They froze and stopped trying to escape Teammate One's grasp. Froze and couldn't breathe. Froze and couldn't stop their heart from trying to pound out of their chest. Team Leader opened their mouth, but no sound came out, their tongue drier than dry. They swallowed once, clearing their painfully dry throat. "Where is Smallest Teammate?"

Finally trying Hermit-a-Day May for the first time, and today's hermit is Beef! I've been having some difficulty lately with art anxiety, so this seems like a good opportunity to encourage myself!

I've always found that when making hermit designs, I've felt limited in feeling like I had to make them more palatable in a way? Like in order for them to be seen as valid, I had to be strict with myself and make them less weird, and that wasn't fun! So for this month, I want to try and go unique and just enjoy the design process!

For Beef, I made him a mix of the standard minotaur look people give him, and also mixed it with his alien arc from season 8 because I will NEVER let that plot go (also he's also not angry at all here, the way I drew his face just happened to turn out this way and the big ol fangs are obscuring the smile a wee bit!)

#tw blood #context is the new 'in pursuit of a cloud' album by elliotly! the link to it is in the brackets above #my thoughts are... generally incoherent but i liked it #this entire ??art thing?? is based on vibes but specifically from 'drink up!' which is maybe? my favourite song from it. so fun #<<drink up!>> and <<when i'm immortal>> are from the same narrative in my mind what can i say!#/// ok enough rambles here's the Main Points so future me can remember what was going on visual-wise feel free to ignore #2 hearts bc two sided// affection vs murder attempt #physical heart bc even though not this song-specific the others do have the imagery of organs and stuff #+ again the innate repulsion w internal body parts vs cutesy heart imagery (on the tag) (fight!!)#+ biological immortality -> physical body #sparkly pink (unnatural) pt 1 vs reddish pink (red base =blood + white for pinks) pt 2// differences in hues #the more purple-ish pink in (1) also began from the <when i'm immortal> lyric video #// hovering ie. magic vs encased (thinking maybe about guns and murder weapons in history museums)#droplet running down side in (1)- can be potion or blood; made it red enough for either /vs/ blood stains in the case and on the tag in (2)#bottle is significantly emptier/ potion not so clearly There in (2); implying usage #frame in (2) was meant to be gold for royalty but it went to rose gold for cohesiveness #about the caption.. went to find a lyric from the song after + this fit all too well #miracle elixir is (1) and in (2) the Implications vibe in my head as a poison as something that induces death #of sorts. ie. fixes mortality #...halfway through this i was Convinced it was awful and wrote out a whole complaint letter to myself. and then in the midst of listing #the parts i didn't like. i understood what was the main issue. and that made it fixable asdfghjkl it's a very strange way to not give up
