Easy Smiles (Dan Feng x masc!GN!reader (platonic or romantic))

Hello everyone this is my Dan Feng fic that no one asked for.

The reader is implied to be masc or gn, and I don't write for fem. I hope someone enjoys this :)

(Relationship is teetering on the edge of romantic and platonic, who knows. I don't.)

"I don't find this to be enjoyable, you know."

Dan Feng's tone is bitter, but he wraps the bandage gently all the same. As the white cloth winds around your hand, carefully between your fingers, his hand gently supports your wrist as he stands in front of you, seated on the medical cot.

In the seemingly endless war against the abundance, you sit in a small medical tent in a brief moment of peace. It seems like things have calmed down, but you know better. Things will likely escalate once more, like a windy day being the warning of a storm to come.

Of course, you hadn't hoped to put him in this situation. As talented of a healer as he is, Dan Feng derives no pleasure from carefully bandaging up the few friends and loved ones he treasures. You can tell from the slight squint of his eyes, the tenseness in his shoulders as cloudhymn blooms from his fingertips. It's always been quite beautiful. He's always been quite-

"Did you hear me?"

Dan Feng's soft yet icy gaze meets yours once again, and you snap your attention up from the swirls of azure and turquoise that make your skin tingle before soothingly cooling it.

"I did," you grin sheepishly.

"And?"

"I will be more careful."

Dan Feng opens his mouth as if to argue, 'no, you won't be, you reckless fool', before he snaps it shut and squeezes your hand firmly before releasing it.

He sighs and tilts his head up to face the ceiling.

"Praying to your ancestors for patience, or something?" It's a horrible joke. You know it's not the greatest thing to come out of your mouth. But your friend is stressed and it's admittedly your fault, so you can give yourself the grace to forgive yourself for it.

Dan Feng drops his head back down to his normal, perfectly straight posture, and affixes you with a look that looks equal parts incredulous and 'are you being serious?'

You suck on your bottom lip as you sheepishly smile. He sighs. You're both fairly reserved individuals, but it seems that, as a pair, you both tend to annoy and pick at each other more than either of you would usually deem acceptable.

“I doubt the wisdom of my ancestors is equipped to save me in this situation.”

“That so?”

“Quite.”

He looks firm as he says it, and internally you wince slightly. His expression seems to soften almost immediately after that.

“Why can't you be more careful?

“I am.”

“Trying to control the flow of an opposing army on your lonesome is reckless. Be less reckless.”

The air seems to still.

“Please.”

After a moment, you sigh. In your friendship with him, it seems you're both equally matched in your concern for one another.

High Elder or not, Dan Feng loves his friends. You can see it both in your own friendship with him and his friendships within the High Cloud Quintet. His concern is veiled just enough so that once you've learned to see it, you’ll never doubt that it's there. Ever the healer.

You wonder if he's scared of it all being stripped away, sometimes. He probably knows better than anyone that the preceptors are more than willing to criticize the High Elder, secretively but never quite quietly enough, for his ‘mortal frailties’.

“I will try.”

He raises an eyebrow.

“I will be careful.”

It seems to appease him for the moment, and he sighs. Some of the tension fades from his posture as he closes his eyes and hangs his head.

“Very well. Thank you.”

“Ever honoured to be of service to the esteemed High Elder.” Dan Feng groans, still with his eyes closed, and you snicker quietly.

“My knight in shining armour.”

“Stop it.”

“Alas-” you clutch at your heart through your undershirt, and fall backwards onto the cot. Dan Feng moves forward quickly, and leans forward to check that you haven't actually succumbed to an injury he might have overlooked. He wouldn't, he's far too skilled for that, but he checks anyway. You almost feel bad for pulling that.

“My beloved friend has forsaken me.” You make eye contact with him as you smirk widely, and he sighs in both relief and probably what is mild irritation and an urge to just walk straight out of the tent.

“Here we go again.”

“Abandoned, forsaken, am I.”

“I would not forsake you-”

“Forsaken.”

Dan Feng hangs his head and rubs his face.

“Why are you so reckless, anyways? On the battlefield.”

You pause to think about it. Or more accurately, to think of a way to tease him a little further.

“To catch my beloved friend’s eye, of course.”

His hands seem to clench slightly from their position over his face. He hangs his head further and his hair tumbles forward to cover the tips of his ears.

“What? What does that even mean?”

“From his lofty position above the battlefield, my friend surely has trouble discerning me from the crowd of other, similarly sweaty and shapeless ants, on the battlefield.”

“You are not ants. Not to me.”

“For only he, the majestic warrior from on high-” you see Dan Feng stifle a chortle at that, “remains clean, with his hair billowing in the wind.”

He groans and drops his hands. He’s smiling and flushed slightly, but looks like he's exerting an effort into maintaining his composure.

You lift your arm dramatically into the air. Dan Feng sighs.

“If he catches sight of another, more sightly man, from his vantage point, what am I to do? Admit defeat to being overseen, overshadowed? Left behind?"

“You don't have to worry about that.”

“Why not?” You pause your monologuing to meet his gaze, now warm and full of mirth. It makes you smile.

“It's much easier to discern my friends, in the crowd. I try not to loose sight of you.”

You pause a little at that. Then you turn your face away and press the back of your hand to your forehead. You hear Dan Feng groan again and mutter quietly, and have to stifle your laughter.

“And alas, my friend-”

“Stop it,” he begins to laugh quietly, stifled under what you're sure is a hand clapped to his mouth.

“He has forsaken us! Forsaken us for greater, brighter things.”

“Where are you even,” he lets out a bright laugh before coughing, “where are you going with this?”

“My dear friend does not wish to hear of me.”

“You know very well the opposite is true.”

“And is annoyed that I wish to catch his eye in battle,” you turn your head slightly to catch a glimpse of his expression. He flushes slightly and looks away.

“There are other ways to catch my attention, other than recklessly charging ahead into battle, you know.” Dan Feng smiles as he looks back at you. His eyes sparkle as he tries to sound stern, only for it to dissolve as he chuckles into the palm of his hand.

“But this, my friend, is most certainly efficient. Otherwise, what if my friend sees the new love of his life and abandons me for him? The pain, the horror, the-”

Dan Feng laughter fills the air as your sentence trails off. It's bright, and he squeezes his eyes shut as he laughs openly, one hand placed elegantly over his mouth, and the other grasping the sheets on the bed.

You laugh with him, calming down seconds before he finally does, with a sigh.

He looks marvelous like this, you think. Bright-eyed and deliriously laughing with you in a shabby medical tent.

He makes eye contact with you and flushes slightly, for a brief second. You smile at him, and he returns it with a soft expression of his own. Dan Feng, your dearest friend.

“Please though, if you ever do that again I'm dropping down from the sky to chastise you.”

You cackle as he begins to laugh once again.

Wow Birthday Whump Day 7: Bloodied knuckles / Wounded / "Is that blood?!"

Content: minor injuries, blood, medic caretaker

Half past midnight, Turquoise Team finally returned to their locker room. All of them were covered in all the standard post-mission sweat, dirt, and grime, and they all smelled absolutely awful. All and all, the mission had gone well. Lives had been saved, and the team's spirit was high.

“Can someone unzip me?” Teri called across the room, turning around. While INSUPA uniforms had many benefits: custom fit, stab proof fabric, lots of pockets, ease of doing was not one of them. She’d been able to get her outer, armored shell off, but the jump suit provided its own challenges.

“I can.” Joseph offered. He crossed the room in several quick strides, his suit top already gone and replaced by a red tee. Maybe she should consider the two piece option next time they reordered. He swept her hair out of the way, then reached for the zipper.

Halfway down, just below her shoulder blades, he stopped. “Is that blood on your undershirt?” His voice was filled with concern. “Teri, did you get hit?”

All of the team’s eyes snapped over to her, looking at the dark, rusty stain on the white y-back she wore as an underlayer. Eric was already bringing Joseph’s medical bag over.

“Not that I can remember…” She craned her neck around to look, inching in pain as she tugged at the wound. “Could you take a look at it?”

“Of course.” He’d been pulling on the spare pair gloves he kept in his right pocket before she’d even asked. “How about you sit on the bench?”

She listened, sitting down on the wooden bench and then pulling the sleeves of her suit down to expose the area a little better. As Joseph cut away the back of her undershirt, she parsed through her memories of the mission trying to figure out if there was a time when she could’ve been hurt. They hadn’t fought anybody, not directly. Her armor wasn’t even dinged.

Joseph’s fingers brushed against her skin as he inspected the injury. “It’s a lot of small, pretty supercial cuts.” His voice was still uneasy.

“There's petechiae, these were definitely caused by carnokenesis.” A esh manipulator, that explained it. “Weak one by the looks of it, but everyone needs to check themselves over.”

They team started to pat themselves down, making sure that they weren’t also wounded, and checking for spots of blood and the small, purplish dots that carnokenesis always left behind.

Teri stayed still, letting Joseph tend to the wound on her back. His hands were gentle as he worked, covering each little cut with a quick swipe of antibiotic ointment and then pressing a bandage over them.

“You’re good.” He pulled his hands away from her back. “Keep the dressings dry, I can help you change them in the morning.”

“Thanks,” she said, trying to carefully remove her arms from the sleeves without aggravating the injury.

He pulled his gloves off, tossing them into the trash can. “It’s not a problem.”

DCA Info Part 27: Meet Allison Liddel 🐰

Allison Liddel (アリソン・リデル, Arison Rideru) is the dorm leader of Futterwacken. She is a rebellious girl with a whole lot of spunk, but she's also very curious and loves to explore.

History

Allison was born and raised in the Kingdom of Gardenia, being the daughter of Lewis Liddel and his wife, as well as being the elder twin sister of Maddison Liddel.

At some point during Allison's life, her parents divorced and Lewis took custody of both her and Maddison. Ever since then, Lewis has been constantly peer pressuring them into acting like noblewomen in the hopes of getting them to marry men of noble status in order to boost his own ego and climb the social ladder.

Personality

Curious yet spunky, Allison is a mischief maker at heart. The rebellious spirit in her comes from her hatred for her father's peer pressuring nature and this rebellious spirit causes her the reject anything feminine, but she's comfortable wearing dresses if they aren't too fancy. She also has a love for exploring, which can sometimes lead to trouble.

Appearance

Allison is a girl of average height in her mid-teens. She has fair skin, turquoise colored eyes and short reddish pink, almost watermelon pink hair with side swept bangs parted to the left side of her head and the tips of her hair being flipped.

2020 School Uniform

Allison's 2020 school uniform is very "unique" to her. She wears a bright sky blue sailor top with turquoise gem buttons, mid-length sleeves with blue-green blue cuffs, a dark cerulean blue collar with an argyle like pattern of hearts, spades, clovers and diamonds with one of the aforementioned shapes being shown in the center of each diamond, a blue-green flowy collar flap and a dark turquoise scarf tied to the collar. At the waist, Allison wears a dark turquoise belt with a bow at the right side. The bottom half of her uniform consists of a two layered skirt, with the top layer being a semi-ombré dark cerulean blue while the bottom layer has the same coloring and pattern as the sailor top's collar. Allison also wears dark turquoise and white horizontal striped leggings alongside a pair dark turquoise Mary Janes with gold soles and buckles.

Allison accessorizes with a dark turquoise ribbon headband with a crown shaped charm in the center and a dark turquoise choker with a bow in the center. Allison's most noticeable accessory is the gold waist chain of keys, which are the way of verifying the students affiliated with the Futterwacken dorm. The gold key shapes and gems are as follows: a red heart, a blue spade, a green clover and a yellow diamond.

2021 School Uniform

Very little changed about Allison's uniform, the only differences include the skirt's top layer now being a solid dark cerulean blue and her ribbon headband, scarf and belt are now colored black.

Dorm Uniform

For her dorm uniform, Allison wears a blue and yellow dress with a white undershirt, a yellow shirt collar with gold ribbon and a gold pin shaped like a door lock, a solid blue bodice with yellow vertical line detailing in the center, white cap sleeves with gold trimming over blue puff sleeves with pale yellow trimming and gold ribbon near the trimmings edge. At the waist, Allison wears a purple belt with a pink diamond pattern attached to a white apron. The belt also has golden trim on the top and bottom and a gold pocket watch which is attached to the waist chain of keys on the left side of her waist. The dress' skirt has pale yellow and light blue vertical stripes with card shape patterns. The bottom of the skirt has gold ribbon and lace trimming. The gold ribbon has card suits on it, this includes a red heart, black spade, block clover and red diamond. Underneath the skirt, Allison wears a white ruffle petticoat and pale yellow bloomers with gold ribbon and ruffle trim. For footwear, Allison wears a pair a black Mary Janes with the strap having lace, alongside purple and pink horizontal striped leggings.

Allison retains the headband for her school uniform for her dorm uniform. However, she also wears a pair of bracelets that resemble tuxedo cuffs with gold buttons.

Solo Stage Uniform

Allison's vocal performance uniform is different from the others. She wears a top with triangular hems on each side. The center of the top is a silvery teal color and has four diamonds going down vertically and within said diamonds are a pair of smaller diamonds, with horizontal beige diamonds and brown vertical diamonds. On both sides of middle section are vertical watermelon pink and pale yellow triangle patterns. The sides of the top are dark teal, divided by dark pink vertical ribbon. The top's spread collar is the same silvery teal as the top's center and it additionally has watermelon pink ribbon, lace trimming and in the upper center is a pale yellow lacy collar flap with the same watermelon pink ribbon as before. The top also has juliet sleeves, with the puff portion having pink ribbon hems and being silvery teal and pale yellow, the long sleeve portion is light butterscotch in color and have ruffle hems. At the waist, Allison wears a pink bow attached to four colored ribbons with gold detailing and card shape on each one, this includes a pink ribbon with a heart, a blue ribbon with a spade, a green ribbon with a clover and a yellow ribbon with a diamond. Her pants are a two toned teal, with the right side being a lighter shade than the left, the right side also has a pink ribbon tied to it and the pants have cuffs with light pink diamonds inside and pink ribbon on the top and bottom. For footwear, Allison wears a pair of pink low heeled shoes with dusty rose colored soles, rounded arch topline, and gold strap detailing with pink flowers on top. She additionally wears gold anklets and dark teal stockings.

Allison is a 17 year old 2nd year student. She is classified as Student #5 and is in Class 2-E. She is a member of the Theater Club and her best subjects are Magic History and Party Hosting, with the latter being her favorite school subject due to her desire to throw amazing and less boring parties. Her least favorite school subject is Basic Etiquette due to her rebellious nature and she refuses to act like a lady.

For her idol performances, Allison has a loud voice that can still carry rhythm. Allison prefers to sing more energetic songs and she can sometimes sing fast lyrics without problem.

For her choreography, Allison provides lots of movement on stage with plenty of jumping and skipping. She's all over the place.

Family

Allison has a negative relationship with her father, who constantly tries to peer pressure her and Maddison to act like proper high class ladies and likely get them to marry into nobility so that he can boost his social status.

Allison's relationship with Maddison and her mother were more positive. Prior to her parents divorce, her mom would read them stories and nursery rhymes and it's likely she didn't try to peer pressure them like their father did. While Maddison is more quiet and reserved, she does care about Allison and also dislikes her father's egotistical nature.

Pet

Allison has a pet hare named, Tock. He's NOT rabbit cause hares are bigger and could match her pace. Also it won't hesitate to use the magic doorway while most animals would be scared to go in.

Fellow Students

It's likely that because of her easygoing and social nature, Allison has a lot of mutuals. Thought she is shown to get on Evonie's nerves on occasion.

Night Raven College Students

Riddle thinks that she's strange and would be a troublemaker with how often she accidentally ends up in NRC through the magic doors. There have been times where he is tempted to use Off With Your Head on her sometimes because she can be annoying at times. And he thinks the dorm she runs is more chaotic than Heartslabyul. The one thing he likes about her is that the tea and food art is decent enough and he liked the singing flowers.

Ace finds Allison fun to be around. These two are the double trouble doing reckless stuff and exchanging memes at 3 am. They have a lot of inside jokes that people won't get but them.

Deuce is the mediator but if he gets into a fight Allison would bring the popcorn and watch on the sidelines. But he thinks she's a fun person to be around, albeit maybe the spunky energy just makes him want to do something reckless too.

Trey tries to keep her out of trouble. He's the official mediator because Deuce does a crappy job. He knows she is probably a sweet girl but he just needs her to calm tf down. He can't catch up with all that energy. Though he appreciates her skills in food art and would like to hold a baking session and serve it at the next unbirthday party.

Cater recognizes her as the user who posts food art on MagiCam. Instant social media friends. He's a big fan of her work and he will try to ask her what else she can turn a cake into. A teapot, a pile of books, a rose there are so many things she can replicate with cake batter and frosting.

Vil isn't very fond of her. She does what she pleases and has corrupted the first year he was currently training, Epel. He just looks at her like a disappointed mother whenever she shows up. Allison ain't warming up to him either. She once told Epel that anymore make up and his face will become literal cake. Which made Epel choke on the apple he was eating. Also she thinks Vil is Highness in human form.

Allison would definitely urge Epel to go feral and she's taking photos to remember this historical moments. She's made an album all about him. Titled "The Documentaries of a Feral-Almost-French Boy". Epel has an enabler and you can't deny that. Also there can be moments these two don't cause a mess, Allison and him making apple treats and leave cakes that look like vases around Pomefiore.

Ever since Rook took the spotlight when he visited the theater club in DCA, Allison has been bitter about how he'd play a better male lead than her. She sees him as his rival for "prince charming". Rook on the other hand plays along and does everything to fluster her which infuriates her even more.

Idia doesn't want to be near her because she's on the same list as the bright and optimistic people that could blind him. If anything at least he's glad Ortho found a friend in her but don't try to drag him along. Her energy is a terrible matchup against Idia's introvert spirit. She once used her unique magic to teleport into his room and he screamed bloody murder and chucked a controller at her direction.

Ortho being a kid and Allison being a kid at heart she'd play a lot of weird but fun games with him like hide and seek where he has to guess which door she went through and all. Those two have a secret handshake and probably have a treehouse somewhere tbh. Ortho is curious so he'd want to know what Allison will do next. She's unpredictable even to his calculations.

Romance

Allison desires a significant other who has the same energy as her but is also the voice of reason. A significant other who is both fun but reasonable.

Powers and Abilities

• Magic: Much like her fellow students, Allison can use magic.

• Hanging Upside-Down: Allison is stated to be skilled at hanging upside-down, she's even able to drink tea upside-down.

• Food Art Skills: Allison is stated to be a professional on food art. Being able to make a huge variety of designs in a short time, students look forward to what kind of sweets she'll make sculptures of. However there will be occasions where she makes food look like objects. Ella learned this the hard way when she mistook cakes for teacups.

Unique Magic

Allison's unique magic is called "Enchanted Doorways" (不思議の国への鍵/エンチャント・ドアウェイ, Enchanto Doau~ei; lit. "Key to Wonderland"). She can travel to places she previously visited, but it has it's limits. She constantly it to travel because she just like walking through the doorways that look like LSD on the inside. Also she sometimes doesn't feel like walking a long distance and wants a shortcut instead.

According to her bio, Allison's Japanese voice actress would be Ayaka Ōhashi, known for her roles as Ran Shibuki in Aikatsu!, Sāya Yamabuki in BanG Dream!, and Uzuki Shimamura in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls.

no one asked but here r my opinions on the new outfits since mayhaps they are the new Official Outfits??

ichiro - an improvement. i like that it's very true to his og outfit and i think it looks better with just red (rather than the red + blue), plus that weird white undershirt that i always hated is gone <3

jiro - BB YOU LOOK SOOO GOOD it's a p small change but i like it, i like the hoodie more than his prev jacket and i love that they kept his stupid nonfunctional flannel <3 but most importantly the HAIR AHHHH im OBSESSED WITH PONYTAIL JIRO. the only small thing i dislike is the lack of hat </3 rip jiros hat (2017-2023) you will always be remembered

saburo - i liked his overcoat from his prev outfit so this fit is a bit of a downgrade for me :[[ he still looks good though and v true to his character so i dont mind too much

samatoki - oh thank fucking god, an outfit worthy of his hotness. ive been mourning tdd samatoki ever since i knew of him and this blue leather jacket is SUCH a good look, and we didnt even have to sacrifice his tits out shirt. it's perfect

jyuto - good!! he looks hot as he should. the red gloves were iconic and will be missed but overall i think i like his new outfit better, it's a little less stuffy looking

rio - an upgrade bc he looks somewhat more like an integrated member of society and less like a permanent navy seal. i like that he got to keep his camo but also wear some normal-ish clothes

ramuda - this seems...p much the same except the jacket changed and he has a hat now? i think its a hat? i dont like the hat. the jacket looks good and i understand why its yellow but... i miss the turquoise... the turquoise and pink was iconic... :[ overall not bad but miss the old 'fit for sure

Balan Wonderworld Outfits: Chapter 9

Here are Chapter 9's outfits! At first, I was originally going to give all of the characters circus-themed outfits. Instead, I decided to give them outfits/costumes that they would wear in the parade as entertainers. I hope you all enjoy these!

Leo Craig

A white, long-sleeved shirt with a v-neck collar, black pants, and black shoes. He no longer sports his standard bandana.

Emma Cole

A princess costume which consists of white feather ornaments in her hair, an off-shoulder pink dress with short, puffed transparent sleeves, white evening gloves, gold earrings, a gem necklace, and red high heels. Her hair is let down.

Jose Gallard

A scarecrow costume which consists of a brown pointed hat, a red shirt with an attached deep red collar, a crewneck that resembles straws of hay, matching wrist cuffs and ankle cuffs, a rope belt, blue pants, and black boots.

Fiona Demetria

A mermaid princess costume which consists of a gold tiara that is adorned with pearls and ocean blue shells, a dress with a blue top that has a sweetheart neckline, ruffled ocean blue trimming on the waist, an ocean blue mermaid skirt, and gold high heels.

Yuri Brand

A fairy costume which consists of a white floral headband, a dress with a purple top and puffed sleeves and magenta skirt, transparent butterfly wings, and indigo ballet flats.

Haoyu Chang

An air pilot costume which consists of a black pilot hat, a white, short-sleeved shirt, a black tie, a brown belt with a gold buckle, black pants, and shoes.

Sana Hudson

A samba dance outfit which consists of a orange, yellow, and green feathered headress attached to a black band, a black and orange off-the-shoulder dress with an orange, yellow, and green ruffled and layered skirt, and black stilettos. Her hair is no longer in dreadlocks and is straightened.

Cass Milligan

Princess Merry's costume, which consists of a light blue wig that is in the exact same hairstyle as her, a gold crown, a yellow ball gown with a gold collar, white gloves, and gold kitten heels.

Cal Suresh

A gold king's crown with red gems, a black tailcoat with white lining over a white dress shirt, white pants, and tall black boots.

Iben Bia

A snow princess costume which consists of a silver tiara with a lone, rhombus-shaped turquoise gem, a blue off-the-shoulder sleeved gown with a white fur collar, rhombus-shaped turquoise gems on the chest and rim of the dress, a small v-shaped cut at the center that exposes a light blue undershirt, a transparent blue cape, and light blue kitten heels.

Attilio Caccini

A clown costume which consists of a dark magenta top hat with a yellow flower on it, a magenta jumpsuit with a white neck ruffle and white polka dots, yellow pom poms that act as buttons, white gloves, and yellow clown shoes.

Lucy Wong

A gold queen's crown with magenta gems, a white ruffled choker, a white ball gown with puffed sleeves and a light green accent in the center, and white stilettos.

Eis Glover

A red tailcoat with gold buttons over a matching vest with gold accents, a white high-collared shirt, a black tie, black pants, and black shoes.

Bruce Stone

A black top hat, a matching tailcoat over a white high-collared shirt, a mauve tie, black pants, and brown dress shoes.
