Seeing how well that my other unrelated meme on a national holiday was, here is another I made that also spites the works of Vivziepop by taking a jab at her roots in musical theater by calling her creations worse than the biggest broadway bomb of all time:

spider-man: turn off the dark seinfeld episode
jerry begins dating julie taymor. the relationship ends when he's forced to admit he likes the lion king movie better than the musical
kramer winds up backstage and is taken for one of the performers. his broadway debut is "a freak like me needs company"
elaine secures a contract for the j. peterman company designing the sinister six costumes. the swiss miss costume becomes popular in drag performances, leading to elaine being invited onto rupaul's drag race as a guest judge and promptly canceled when she tries to call herself "mother"
george bribes the uber pool driver to drop him off first over the protests over the other passenger, an aerial safety technician. said passenger is thus late to work; the episode ends with a spider-man stunt performer falling and breaking their leg next to george

ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE viewers, did anyone happen to catch a brief Swiss Miss cameo?
I have not caught one. But one tweeter said she was supposedly in it.
(To explain, Swiss Miss was exclusively made for the Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark musical)

Guys. GUYS.
2023’s Black List (the most popular un-produced screenplays in Hollywood) has dropped, and it has a screenplay based on the making of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
Yes, THAT Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Broadway’s most expensive flop of all time. With Greek mythology and Julie Taymor and fucking U2.
The screenplay is called Boy Falls From Sky and it’s written by Hunter Toro and it’s very funny and well-researched. Please enjoy, and tag your fan-casts for these roles because I’m so hyped by this potentially being made someday.
Read it HERE

If I had a nickel for every time Robert Cuccioli played a mad scientist wearing suspenders who transforms himself into a monster-like being due to a failed expirement in a financially unsuccesfull musical whos development was impacted by a stock market crash, I would have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

One of the many things I found to be disappointing about HH and HB was that they both had lame soundtracks, for being created by a theater kid, I was hoping for something wonderful, but I’ve heard better from the average McDonalds commercial 🤦🏻‍♂️

I've been obsessed with Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark lately. I didn't know much about it when it came out because I heard about the injuries and didn't want to feel responsible via any financial or other support.
It's been over a decade since Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark came out and it was such a flop that I can now rest assured it is never coming back and I can indulge guilt-free.
I can't believe this thing was made. If you put this musical up against Goncharov I'd swear the musical is the fake.
Bono and The Edge from U2 did the music, so the whole thing sounds bizarre. Bono clearly did not know how to write sings for anyone other than him to sing, so Peter Parker just sounds like he's doing an impression. You can go and listen for yourself. It's bad, but if you're a U2 fan you can get on board.
The original version of the Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark had a plot that makes zero sense: the spider that bites Peter Parker is actually a manifestation of the spider goddess Arachne who becomes infatuated with him. The musical ended with Peter agreeing to be with Arachne, who, by the way, has spider legs, to spare Mary Jane's life. The whole thing ended with a love making scene between the human Peter Parker and this anthropomorphic spider.
Obviously that wasn't well received so the whole musical was reworked to follow the plot of the first Spider-Man movie with Bono and The Edge writing songs for the Green Goblin.
So far I'm delighted by every new fact I learn about this god-awful abomination.
