General tulius' special reactions to the amulet of mara
As imagined by me.
Grumpy old bastard /aff
Before joining the legion
*no reaction*
>Are you intrested in me?
"?? Im intrested in you joining the legion"
After joining the legion
*No reaction*
>Are you interested in me?
*if youve asked before* "Why do you keep asking me that, *current legion rank*?"
*If you havnt asked before* "thats... not an appropriate question for your superior."
After winning the war
>Are you interested in me?
*If you havnt asked before* "Ha. Well, i certainly find you interesting, Legate."
>Im intrested in you.
"Oh- I *ahem* I see. Well im.. certainly flattered, but im afraid I'll have to decline. No hard feelings"
>Are you interested in me
*If you asked before* "You sure are a persistent one, arent you? Why are you asking anyway?"
>Im wearing Maras amulet...
"Yes, that you are. Should that mean somthing to me?"
>Nevermind. *ends conversation*
>Its a custom in skyrim that initiates marriage.
"Marriage? You've... been wanting to marry me this whole time? Legate, I... Well im sorry I didnt realize sooner. So thats... Us, then? Youd like to be wed?"
>I would.
"Well, i suppose thats that then. I, ah... Thank you. For your persistence. I look forward to our life together."
>No.
"*Confused and vaugly amused laughter* Then why did you keep asking?"
If you come back after rejecting him.
"Still wearing that amulet of mara, huh?"
>Interested?
"Changed your mind, then? Ill admit, my own feelings have not changed. Have yours?"
>Yes *same dialog as first scenario*
>No.
"Right."
If you abandon the wedding
"I will never understand it here."

No proof reading done here this is lazy
Tullius could still hear the water running when he came back from running errands, which was odd. He stood in the doorway for a moment, eyes glued to the bathroom door at his right. He held his paper bag a bit tighter to his chest with a sigh.
« Gaillard, are you really still in there? I left two hours ago. » He spoke loud enough for his companion to hear as he stepped into the small motel room they had rented, putting the bag of groceries down onto the wobbly dinning table he wasn't really looking forward to sit at.
No response as he put the fresh produce away, worry slowly growing in him. He turned his head to stare back at the bathroom door, still feeling uneasy. He knew that Gaillard was there, and it wasnt like him to play dead unless he was troubled by something.
Quiet steps towards the door and a gentle knock, then came Tullius' voice once more.
« Gaillard you're wasting water. »
Gaillard sighed, frustrated
« I'm not done. »
« Not done? You got in before I left. I know you are sitting in the bath, get up. »
He gave the door another gentle knock, letting him know that he was considering getting in. He could pratically see him through the door, Gaillard's behavior had become very predictable to him.
« I'm not. » Gaillard replied as he was, indeed, sitting in the bath, shower head spraying warm water directly onto his back. He rested his chin onto his knees as he held his legs close to his body, gaze lost into nothingness.
Tullius let out a small frustrated groan and finally turned the doorhandle, hit with a wave of warmth as he stepped in. The room was full of steam, and smelled strongly of cheap bath products. His nose picked up on another, much more sublte scent, which he very easily recognized. In the middle of the room were Gaillard's discared clothes, Tullius bending down with a sigh as he picked up his friends pants and undergarnment. Without any questions asked, he took them to the sink for a rince, the awfully familliar, iron like scent tickling at his nose as he scrubbed the fabric under cold water.
Gaillard had tensed up, knowing very well what his guardian had tasked himself with. He slowly rocked back and forth, holding his head in his hands. Both stayed in silence for a moment, Tullius the first to break the ice
« I thought you said that you had packed everything you needed. »
« I thought I did. I got mixed up. »
Mixed up he sure was, he was convinced that he still had a few injection vials left, but didn't. He completely forgot about his injections as a whole until his body betrayed him this very morning. Gaillard had spent over a millenia without hormone therapy, he was used to periods, but having lived even a short moment without them had been enough to completely change his view on them. This now affected him more than it had ever before and it was utterly humiliating.
« I suppose our plans for this afternoon are changing, then? I will look for a pharmacy, small and easy one to…borrow from. » Tullius suggested.
He had no interest in standing witness to yet another one of Gaillard's crimes but Gai needed it, both for materials and as a way to cheer up.
« …I want to go home. »
Gaillard's voice was low, quiet like a whisper, yet filled with such a strong sorrow that it made Tullius' heart sink.
Both of them knew there was no such place as ‘home' for Gai. He did have a lair, but it was more of a storage space and hideout than an actual home.
Tullius let the fabric slip out of his hands as he turned the water off with a sigh.
« Get out, you need rest. »
Knowing Gai's boundaries well, he did not hesitate to pull the hideous shower curtain out of his way to cut the water off from the shower as well.
Gaillard swore under his breath, getting up with shaky legs, feeling a bit numb from sitting for so long. He clung onto one of Tullius' arms as he stood out of the bath, puddle forming at his feet.
He did not look his friend in the eye once, instead walking straight to the clean clothes he had hung near the door. He did not take time to dry himself off properlly either, simply shaking his body a little before slidding himself into clean pijamas.
Pijamas. Yeah. That told Tullius everything he needed to know about Gai's current mood.
Gaillard stepped out of the bathroom without a word, throwing himself onto one of the beds with a loud thud. Tullius stood there for a moment before he decided to grab a towel to clean the mess of blood and water on the floor. He did not get time to do much tho, as Gai's voice called for him soon enough.
« You can clean up later, come here these sheets are cold as fuck. »
Gaillard never asked for comfort, not directly at least. But Tullius had gotten more than enough time to learn to read through the lines when it came to some of Gai's requests. He had studied him like a book, not like it was much of a choice but it came in handy.
He let the wet towel drop onto the edge of the sink with a flop and followed Gai's footsteps, making it to one of the small beds in the crowded room. He laid by Gai's side, Gaillard quickly turning to wrap an arm around him, resting his head on Tullius' chest. He still avoided looking him in the face and was awfully quiet, which was quite a rare occurrence.
« Do you still want to go back to the lair? » Tullius asked, slowly rubbing Gai's back.
They were not even on the right continent, but they had went on bigger trips on a more sudden thought before. Tullius would be ready to leave at any time that Gaillard decided.
« No I- I don't know. We'll see. »
Gaillard closed his eyes and Tullius could feel him relax slightly, his smaller body melting against his.
The silence was heavy, he knew that Gai was unwell but there was not much he could do. Gaillard had a very, very thick shell.
« I will make dumplings for dinner. »
Distractions were usually the way to go, and it seemed to work its charm now as well as he felt Gai giggle by his side.
« Damn, you should have said that right away, I would have thrown myself out of that shower. »
« I'm not letting you eat the ingredients before I get to finish. Get rest, I'll cook while you sleep. »
Tullius gave his companion's head a gentle rub, pulling a small hum out of Gai.
« Fine, do it the boring way. » He replied with a small smile. « Not letting you go just yet tho, just push me off when I start snoring. »
« I figured. » Tullius closed his eyes to let himself rest as well, listening to his friends breath slow down as he drifted into slumber, letting go of his worries even if it was just for a short time.
