Artsy Fartsy - Vintage Simlish Prints
me? doing more silly wall art? shocking! unprecedented! ground-breaking! anyway asdfghgfds all joking aside, it's finally done and i'm really happy to share it with you all!!
I found a bunch of free-to-use vintage prints, and thought, 'hey, i want these in my game'. So I cleaned each picture up, removed the text and replaced it with Simlish. There are framed and unframed versions for each print, and all the framed ones come with 6 different frame colours for each print (there's....a LOT of total swatches. like a lot a lot. warning you now lmao). I'm also sharing PNGs of the edited pics themselves, for you to use however you want lmao.

Anyway, I think that's all the info...sorry for such a huge post lmao. I really wanted to do more frame colours, but I quickly realised even with just the 6, the swatch count was getting ridiculous. Anyway, I actually really, really enjoyed cleaning up the images and removing the text to make way for the Simlish, even if i did belatedly realise that in-game they're so small you probably won't even notice anyway but asdfghjhgfdsa. I really hope you enjoy these!

In the early seventeenth century Hendrick Avercamp lived and painted in the little Dutch town of Kampen. Northern Europe was ensconced in the Little Ice Age and so Avercamp produced many winter scenes showing life on the ice.
This particular painting displays an imaginary town with a castle, its inhabitants each displaying their own story. There are groups of rich and poor, often mixed, skating about and pushing sleds. Even a beautiful sleigh slides across the ice, pulled by a magnificent horse. Although the figures are small, each displays its own vibrant personality, emotions, and movement through Avercamp's economical brushstrokes.
"A Winter Scene with Skaters near a Castle" currently resides in the hands of the National Gallery (UK). More information can be found on their website here.
The mesh is my own adaptation of a base game frame.

Love Yourself 💗 hearts & more hearts
💌 my first set of custom content for the Sims 4 in a long while. I started these hearts in April, can you believe it, and then life just went crazy. but I decided that the season of love was the perfect timing to get these hearts finished and remind you all self-care and self-love is sexy.
💜 the set contains the famous heart shaped candies in multiple options (wall hanging, standing and lying) to decorate to your hearts content. as originally inspired by an amazing DIY done by Tay BeepBoop Nakamoto.
💙 I didn't add my normal Dew colours to this, but only the candy like pastel ones. each colour comes in 3 options as well: solid, engraved text and painted on text. as I personally know these from dutch candy which has the text engraved, yet other places seem to opt for painted on text instead. (which would also be an easier DIY)
💚 I also added a set of very vibey heart shaped paintings to spread a loving atmosphere to a space. the frames are an edit of the "Better As A Pair Of Paintings" item from EA, as I've always wished these to be separated and also hanging on the wall. so I also added the original EA swatches to these frames, and restored the ones they put in the shade.
💕 I did add a fun extra piece with the same colours as well as stone colours, that you can use as garden stepping stones for your sims gardens or wedding venues.

📌 striped crew socks // 2 versions (variations above, both are in the same zip download), v.1 has 25 swatches, v.2 has 15 swatches, both are the same length with a general vintage vibe and base game compatible. they look particularly good with cropped sweatpants or jeans but doll ‘em up however!
