I was going to default the MCC things I planned on using and am running into issues that I fully blame on the game occasionally being A Horrible Goose with meshes. Plus it was just... a lot of clothing options and overwhelming. Did not like. So plan B! I want to pick out a couple of really general outfits that would cover a wide scope of classes peasant-lowerish gentry, then let the jarls be special.

Because each “area” is color coded, dressing everybody is gonna be cheap and easy because they will have 1-3 options, just like with the hairs. Remember, the point of this is a SMALL CC folder. (This reminder is for myself and my filthy, hoarding goblin brain.)

THE ISSUE.

Picking stuff is hard.

So, I know I’m going to need one nightgown per age group. Thinking a shift is the best choice, male and female. Underwear again, one mesh per age group is sufficient, these can double as swimwear.

Everyday, outwear, formalwear, and athleticwear are more complicated. Because they do represent different biomes and nobody is wearing a fur cloak in the desert. At the same time while they need to make sense they need to be cohesive with eachother, you know?

If you’re feeling froggy, below the cut I’ve got a bunch of options I’m considering and I’d love some input! I’m also LOOKING for certain things, if you wanna take a gander ;)

All mentioned meshes are on Plumb Bob Keep btw.

DESERT

Males - Thinking classic doublet and hose, specifically Aligeth’s mesh and Mio’s Romeo, maybe three patterns. These meshes are available for teen boys which is helpful, but I don’t believe I’ve seen them for CM, definitely not anything for toddlers. I can just go the toddlers all wear kirtles no matter what route though.

Females - High necks and narrow skirts - I know you’d think you want less fabric but as somebody who lives in the desert, if it’s high heat you can cover up and it’s better. Less burns. Thinking of Cynnix' Laced-Sleeve Nun's Mesh and Dominiquex “What Kind of Nuns Are These” Gowns. For the former there’s solids and patterns, so I could have three options, pretty sure both are available for teens too. Not sure about CF on either, stuck to researching adult meshes today clearly. If you know, do share!

DRY COAST

Males - “Pirate Fashion Hooker” is the terminology I ended up using to describe this look. Listen, this is just who I am as a person. OUAT Inspired - Captain Hook and Some Day My Prince Will Come which is a bit fancy but I can scuff it up. Also considering the separate top Garrett Newson wears in Edirann for teens.

Females - To match the pirate theme I’ve apparently given them, I wanted aprons for the women of this area. LOTS of options which is surprisingly making this harder. The TS3 Baker’s wife conversion is solid, TSM Corset Dress, wonderbreath did a Peasant dress I like, and VampireKiss6661 did too Red Riding Hood dresses that are stunning and some of my favorites. Narrowing this down is going to be hard.

GRASSLANDS

Males - ...somebody was getting wizard robes as an option. Grasslands ended up winning that honor! Yuxi's wizard robes mesh, Yuxi also made an elven coat that Adrastos Hiatt wears in Edirann which is beautiful, Penelope made a mesh called the Magician which is very versatile looking, and there’s two I’m mulling over possibly being too fancy - Eclipse’s Robe and Once A King.

Females - Choosing something that would look nice and not weird with the wizard robes I ended up settling on Renaissance-type meshes. The Ever After set all by itself has 5 styles, then there’s kgcowbelle‘s Triumph dress, Ritratto & Domineco dresses, and Lucrezia Borgia dress. Choices! Ahhhh.

MOUNTAINS

Males - Mountains will forever be dwarves to me. They’ve getting armor. I am sorry for nothing. Valhallan's infantry 4t2 mesh and Cynnix's TSM Rogue armor and spy tunic conversions should cover us here.

Females - High necks and bell skirts, seems like it would be the warmest to have lots of layers in the mountains. Elliesimple has a beautiful conversion dress called Iris, Wawa’s Royal, Noble and Merchant -- Ladies Attire meshes, and (one of the few non-PBK meshes) 12raben made a bunch of epic dress recolors and one is high-necked/fur lined and it’s a vibe bby.

RIVERLANDS

Males - I decided belted tunics that were a bit shorter would work well with everything else we have so far. Again, I want some consistency in the feel of the clothing items even if they’re different. Yuxi's AMTS3FaireFolkSylvan Mesh, iamliz13's Russian Viking Style Tunic, Fantasyrogue tunic/chausses, all work. Could also throw in Aligeth's Robin Hood for AM for a touch more variety.

Females - Front-laced/belted dresses looked nice next to the male meshes, so that’s what we picked. Lady_Lochlane‘s Fionna cotehardie, Almighty Hat's Wide-Laced Kirtles, some good choices. 12raben made some colors of Cynnix’s edit of the Daydress from Sim-Ages that are pretty too. Not super laced in the front but whatever I like them.

TROPICAL FOREST

Males/Females - Dothraki.

TUNDRA

Males - Mongolian and Japanese inspired? Kinda? Robe-y with neat boots. Mayadevi Yamabushi-Japanese itinerant priest mesh, Mongolian Deel, Japanese Ceremonial kamishimo, Japanese 16th Century Warrior for AM, Terracotta Soldier-Qin Dynasty Clothes for AM. Too many choices.

Females - I struggled so much decided on a general shape/style for these. First I wanted pants, but I didn’t like my options... I ended up going with Italian Renaissance with the nifty sleeves. It sort of goes together? mio0331 Juliette dress, andavri Shadowcrest dresses, and Cynnix's lace sleeved gown mesh with the stomach-y thing?

WOODLANDS

Males - Bring on the long tunics!! iamliz13 tunics, Iamliz13s Viking mesh, andavri random guywear has two meshes, and Van’s Four Gentleman tunics.

Females - Clearly, vikings. Kostrup Apron Dress, Osk's Apron Dress, but Sherahbim lady of Rohan so they aren’t so same-y.

Whew!!! I think I’m going to start working area by area rather than by category, because it’s a lot to go “okay adult clothes!” vs “Desert Times”.

* LunaSims Elven Build Deco

I’m sorry for the sloppy preview pics. I didn’t only want to show the singles but also a quick look on what you can build with these!

My note: There are a total of 16 objects in this set, placed under Sculpure, and can all be found by either typing [Soli] or Elven in the search box. They come in the original color as well as a recolor in brown.

Important: LunaSims has created some absolutely amazing things for TS3, and one thing that I have been in love with for so long is her elven themed build decor package. Sadly, LunaSims seems to have left the community, leaving her homepage and downloads behind, most downloads not even accessible. According to her policy, conversions and recolors to Sims 2 are acceptable, but there is no clear word on Sims 4. I’m guessing that’s a sign of how long she’s been gone (?).

ALL credit belongs to LunaSims and her amazing skill to make something as gorgeous as this. If/when she comes back and decides, /or updates her policy against TS4 conversions, this will be removed.

3t2 Elven set

Here’s an objects set perfect for decorating forests! (I didn’t convert the ivi and lamps from the set though, this is why they’re edited out from Helen’s TS3 object preview). All of the plants, rocks and the bridge are under Deco/Plants, while the fountain is under Deco/Sculpture. The fountain requires OFB. Lower poly versions end with LP, you can have both versions in your game. Everything’s compressorized and costs 10 simoleons.

@m0n0lithical inspired me to get back into dragon age with all of her amazing recreations of the characters as sims and the hawke estate so if you’re also a fan of the series i HIGHLY encourage you to check her content out!

I recently started replaying because of her and i decided to remake my original favorite inquisitor, Nasri. I made her back on my old simblr in ts3 so this is the first time she’s in ts4 with a modern twist!

Nasri is very compassionate, reasonable, and mostly reserved person, but due to the prejudice against elves she gets very defensive and hot-headed very quickly. She’s also a hopeless romantic, which is why despite everything her stupid elven god boyfriend has done she’s trying to save him.

I have a second inquisitor that I’m playing alongside Nasri so I’m going to make her soon as well and I also have plans to make my Hawke and Warden!

Still enjoying Dragon Age Inquisition. Here’s a few photos of my adventures. The scenery is detailed and gorgeous, like Sims 3 can be (many of the hair and clothing textures remind me of TS3).
