little idea but what if the next films climax involved Branch being mind controlled and set loose on his Brothers?

sorta similar to his Rock Zombie scene at the end of World Tour but this time during the climax of the film he's taken over and set loose on his Brothers by the villain ( maybe or maybe not tying in with the plot of Chef returning that I've talked about before )

and we get a scene of him attacking his Bros trying to kill them with his Brothers trying to talk to him to get through to him to snap out of the control.

maybe as an added emotional bonus whatever it was that was done to him to make him mind controlled also kinda makes him slightly sadistic personality wise.

and all the while he's attacking his bros he's letting out some harsh truths about how crappy they've all been in the past and how he hates them all for abandoning him and never looking back.

maybe even attacking some personal insecurities while he's at it like calling Bruce out on running away from JD and the rest rather than actually confronting him and going on to stress eat until he became a unrecognisable blob ( mind controlled Branch is Harsh what can I say 😂😂😂😂)

and calling out Clay on being so desperate to be seen as serous and not goofy that they all just find him an embarrassment and ironically none of them take him seriously as a result.

so yeah it'd be a neat chance to see an angrier Branch for story reasons and it'd be emotional his Bros still trying to get through to him to break the control over him.

maybe even finally owning up to their mistakes in this instance and their guilt over them and that being the thing that finally snaps him out of it.

its a cliché for sure but its a good story cliché in my opinion what can I say 😂😂😂😂

Topic of the Day: Trolls (just trolls..)

Idea for Trolls 4??: Branch OF COURSE proposes to Poppy. BUT THEN! Poppy gets kidnapped. Branch has to go and save her and the entire time he's freaking out hoping nothing bad happened to her. He brings his brothers (maybe haven't decided yet but I DO love them) and they eventually find her and fight to save her. They make it out and at the end we get to see Poppy and Branch get married! They obviously kiss again because we need another kissing scene and after they get married they have a little duet song because we didn't really get one in TBT, which eventually they bring others in the song like Branch's brothers or Poppy's sister and in the end they're all celebrating Branch and Poppy FINALLY getting married!! (This is obviously set many years in the future) (and of course! The bergens and ALL the trolls are there for the wedding! Poppy would invite everyone she knows❤️)

The Branch having to fight AGAINST Poppy is SUCH a smart idea and I love it so much 🤩

Basically Poppy just wants everyone to get along and for her, that means being manipulative to just about everyone. She thinks she's doing the right thing by "convincing" people to be happy and together but in reality she's hurting them.

Totally agree with them on how she would scrapbook all her plans!!! She'd be a little crazy. She does have good intentions she just doesn't have the right way to do it.

Branch is obviously NOT blind and tries to stop her but she doesn't listen, like in TWT. She truly believes that what she's doing is the right thing.

Of course not everyone would be manipulated so she would have to find SOME WAY to get EVERYONE to do what she wants. She'd find something that hypnotizes them (not sure what yet. If you have any ideas please share!) and uses that to make sure everyone gets along. She really just doesn't want anymore fighting but has the wrong motives.

Also, Poppy would be passive aggressive :)

Now.. I have two ideas in mind. Poppy changes and becomes good in the end or Poppy stays a villain. Its up to you guys to decide what you like best and tomorrow I'll post that idea! ALSO if poppy stayed a villain would you like for her to then be villains with branch or for her to be a solo villain still?

-villain is extremely jealous of Trolls due to their natural talent of being able to sing and dance while they cannot

-creates "artificial trolls" to mimic, infiltrate, capture, and eventually replace the trolls completely

-first "artificial troll" is rudimentary and sent to lure in Poppy under the guise of an inventor who needs help

-Poppy is captured and is used as levarage against the other trolls to surrender so the villain can make more "artificial trolls"

Day 17 (30 Days | Homestuck - Day 3) - Patron Troll (Nepeta Leijon)

I may not have intended it, but it seems I've started aiming to do pieces with more perspective playing into them for these 30 days. I wonder if I'll do stretched proportions as well.

The biggest challenge here was definitely the pose. Why so? Because the idea was to make Nepeta look like she was doing that cat wiggle, except cats have a lot more back to do that with compared to a humanoid, so it looks more awkward on a humanoid. I just had to make do.

Despite the trouble I had last piece with the head shape, this one actually turned out nicely. Part of it was just moving the whole eyes up but the other part was shifting the nose and mouth down more (while making them still visible; earlier parts of this piece had the mouth completely hidden). It looks like her head is indeed facing downwards as she looks at you.

Those hands...that's where my energy left me and I couldn't put in the effort it needed. I've been getting better at more complex hand details, but actually posing some of them isn't so simple, especially that angle. I'll be sure to work on them next time, but it was what the piece called for, energy or not. At least it still provided...some...practice heheh

sometimes homestuck theory posts are like "the blood aspect is intrinsically linked to having red blood and the rage aspect purple! theres somethng fishy about dammek and xefros" like along the lines of fully forgetting we have 1 and a half examples for every troll blood color

#this is mostly about limebloods sorry the limeblood info we know is so vague and not anything at all #if marvus is a lime ill bite my dick off but i dont even think hes gonna be relevant anymore #and i dont think he was so. um. lime coded that you can say it as a true fact #we have more limes than i can imagine but theyre karkat (mutant) kankri (that and barely a character) that one fantroll (has about 4 lines)#fiamet (we dont know her at all) and not callie. bc shes not a troll #on that note i will never ever get behind the idea that limebloods can even be associated with white hair #'well she knew about limebloods' youre one step away from saying all violets have a violet streak but cronus and credea dyed theirs #and it had nothing to do with eridan being a 13 year old having fun #even if callies oc doesnt have dyed hair or whatever that STILLL doesnt make it exclusive to limes!!!!!!!!!!!#weve seen 0 other trolls with white hair. we cant draw ANY conclusions from one troll i just think. thats silly!!#especially when there are 4 real living trolls who dont show any signs of sharing that trait #god. i hate that #sorry have fun. limeblood theories tend to be so bad they really piss me off #but i mean its not real. whatever #simons spouting

#rambles #but ill keep doing it bc. if i dont write i will never learn #i had another homestuck scenario i wanted to write but you see i only have an idea for one specific part #and i have 0 writing experience so i cant write it that well if i dont have a good udea 4 what i want to happen #anyways the premise is that feferi ascends to god tier (more like cod tier) after eridan kills her #& she revives nepeta and equius. the rest of the trolls r like hesitant to revive eridan right away #but feferi goes ahead and revives him anyway bc she has very conflicting feelings & shes like 'i just wanna talk 2 him 38('#ofc this backfires #eridan waking up & immediately assuming the worst; freaks out and runs away from her cuz he thinks shes gonna [krill] him again #(fish pun bc i saw the opportunity and couldn't resist)#then he runs into kanaya and freaks out EVEN MORE and then attempts to run down stairs & trips on his dumb scarf (affectionate)#and falls down a flight of stairs #ive had that specific scenario in my mind for like a few days now!!! and ive been dying to put it down somewhere!! augh #other cincepts i havent fleshed out include: eridan hiding from everyone on the meteor. eridan and gamzee alliance maybe.#some exploration on how kanaya feels abt this bc i feel like kanaya is always portrayed as angry at eridan but ppl forget WHY shes angry!!!#shes *greiving*. the matriorb was like the hope for their entire race & she was tasked 2 protect it and it got destroyed #its very sad to me. murderstuck as a whole is tragic 2 me because theyre all children and i dont think any of them shoulda died #idk i hope that makes sense #um also eridan putting themself in a cycle of 'not evil anymore i want to be loved now. evil again' cuz #characters who destroy their relationships w others over and over again mean everything to me. self destructive characters my beloved #and also everyone who was revived makes it to the alpha session so eridan and roxy friendship can thrive <3 (i am ill)#and also eridan transgender arc is mandatory sorry #wow i am sorry 4 talking so much down here ive been DYING 2 get this idea out but like #i cant ramble normally in posts i have to do it in the tags or i get self conscious otherwise agh #feel free to add onto this if youd like i think #homestuck #oh also maybe nonbinary roxy too maybe bc i really like nb roxy headcanon and also t4t pale eriroxy so wonderful

dont worry this is the worst post ill ever make no post i make will be as bad as this one. what if i or someone stronger than me were to write monkees and homestuck crossover fanfiction

now that Pop village is more connected with other Tribes since the second film I'd kinda like it if we saw other Grey Trolls in the future even just Briefly.

even if we just saw them briefly in the opening of the next film or something like that.

I just feel it'd be sorta nice to see Branch interacting with other Greyish Trolls like maybe after Pop village started interacting with the other Tribes more after World Tour.

Branch happened to see that were in fact other Trolls more similar to him appearance wise where they still had that Greyish tone and lowered ears that comes from losing your colours for a lengthy period of time.

Heck maybe it'd be cute if there was like a Grey Troll support group or something seen briefly in the opening of the next film sorta to show how far the Trolls have come from the days of their toxic positivity to the point they wouldn't even acknowledge this stuff. 😂😂😂😂

and maybe we see him in the opening of the next film with the group and after coming out of it his Bros are waiting to greet him and maybe Floyd or Bruce quickly throws out that their proud of him.

and how far he's come and Branch just awkwardly shrugs it off tho he does appreciate their support really.

IDK what do you think? I just thought it'd be a nice little detail to see in the future even just for a brief scene that Branch kinda found other Grey Trolls to relate to over past experiences and whatnot.

or even cuter if we saw in the next film he's moved on up in the village to the point he's actively working in some sorta area where he wants to help others with their negative emotions and stuff.

like he becomes some sorta Troll therapist or something or maybe he's straight up the one running the support group meetings those options would actually be kinda adorable imo 😭😭😭😭😭😭

this is an image i generated using AI with the prompt 'mi-24 attack helicopter blushing demurely'. it is definitionally art and i am the artist (note that i did not say it's good art -- it isn't!). i'm going to ask some questions about it to illustrate why i think a lot of 'AI art isn't art' talking points are silly.

1. why did i combine 'attack helicopter' with 'blushing', when this is not something attack helicopters are known for doing? is there a juxtaposition being drawn there on purpose? what purpose?

2. why did i specify a specific model of attack helicopter? is the mi-24 known for anything?

3. what attitude does this prompt imply towards the mi-24 and the institutions that use it? is it a reverent and respectful one?

4. why is 'demurely' specified? are there other ways to blush?

5. would the resulting image have been meaningfully different if:

a) the type of helicopter had not been specified

b) 'blushing' had been replaced by 'frowning'

c) 'blushing demurely' had been replaced with 'fighting bad guys'

d) 'mi-24 attack helicopter' had been replaced with 'anime girl'

e) 'mi-24 attack helicopter' had been replaced with 'turkish president'

f) the prompt was affixed 'beautiful, high resolution, trending on artstation'

6. does the fact that i have previously said i will make a bing ai image every time someone complains about AI art, sarcastically saying that by doing so i am stealing food out of artists' mouths, impact the perceived meaning and impact of the image? does it offer a new reading of the absurd nature of the prompt?

7. does the fact that i am a vocal communist impact your answer to any of these questions?

these aren't rhetorical or troll questions, to be clear -- they are merely being posed to illustrate that the idea that there is no artistic intent or human expression behind AI generated images falls apart under serious analysis.

The story of my 3-year-long quest to identify a very rare bird

So I've been trying almost since I moved here to figure out what bird made this strange call that I sometimes heard near my house:

I tried to google "european bird that sounds like a laughing hyena?" and also to imitate the noise over the phone for a friend who once took an online bird course, but she had no idea. (Well, she said "that's a hyena." I said, "but I hear it all the time! Near my house!! Wait I'll do it better." She said, please stop making a hyena noise :(( and I stopped because the cats thought I was losing my mind)

Eventually I managed to record the actual bird call on my phone, and used a Shazam app for birds—but once again, no luck. The first app I tried just assumed it was being trolled and was like "it's you, isn't it? That's not a bird that's your stupid human laugh, you're making fun of me. I'm not an idiot"

The second birdsong app was more insecure and apologised a lot for failing to identify my bird. I thought it must be a rare bird! (The only uncommon bird I know of in this region is the vulture but it sounds less like a hyena and more like if elephants were birds.) Every time I heard the call (usually during the day) I opened the window trying to a) get a better recording so my app would finally have an epiphany, and b) see something flying off a tree.

At one point I was cutting brooms in the pasture and heard the call very loudly, as if the bird was just a few metres away, and it wasn't coming from the sky. I googled every possible version of "flightless (?) bird that nests in thorny bushes?" and found nothing, and started wondering if it was actually a mammal. But I couldn't think of any plausible local mammal that would make this sound—definitely not a fox or badger, who say WAOOHHH, and nothing like the polite whistle of marmots. We've got pine martens in the woods and I found a video called "mating pine marten scream bark" and thought oh!! that must be it! ... but then I listened to it and it sounded like yiiiaaaaaeeeeee, like if you stepped on a baby banshee's toe, nothing at all like the heheeheuruurhh of a hyena who just heard a good joke.

Anyway, this morning I was in the pasture and I once again heard the hyena laugh! I was standing by the moose butler tying up the hay net, away from any trees or shrubs and the call came from just behind me. I turned around thinking there was absolutely no way for the mystery bird to hide, it had landed on the ground behind me and this time I was going to see it!

And

it was HER:

Absolutely no doubt. I saw Pampy's throat vibrating along with the last echoes of the hyena laugh. All these years I've been saying that llamas are very quiet animals who just make cute little "hum-hum" sounds (I rarely hear adult llamas humming to one another, it's mostly for mother llamas to communicate with their baby and with me) and I had no idea that the shrieking hyena-bird I occasionally heard outside my house was Pampelune! I googled "llama alarm cry" and immediately found youtube videos featuring llamas making this exact sound. There was a stray dog nearby this morning that Pandolf eventually chased away, so maybe Pampy was the first to hear him and sounded the alarm. Maybe she uses this cry to tell Pan to go do his guard dog job, because he left the pasture and ran into the woods when she made the sound (while I was turning round like "aha! you can't run, hyena-bird!")

I wanted to share this discovery! I've had llamas for nearly 4 years and I'm only now finding out that they can laugh like hyenas when the situation calls for it. I feel bad for the poor birdsong app that I've repeatedly gaslighted feeding it a llama call and insisting that it identify this bird for me while it hung its head in shame like "I swear I don't have your bird in my database. I'm so sorry. I'm a bad app."
