With all this Trigun Stampede pairing revival stuff going on among the younger fans, I can't help but feel nostalgic for my days as a doujinshi writer and letterer.
Back then I used the name Gynocrat (before the TERFs co-opted that shit and made me abandon it) and the artist is 'Kheelan' aka - you know their real name!
Anyway, FUTZ was a gay transformative work set in a 30s style Gunsmoke, and we printed it for the con season back in 2005/6? The GungHoGuns are mostly absent in Trigun Stampede, but I hope we get an Elendira and Hornfreak.

Okay so when I reblogged that Kurofai meme however long ago, I mentioned having some old Kurofai doujinshi and someone said they'd like to see it!
I actually thought I had more than 2 but apparently not. Oh well.

One of my surprise Christmas gifts to myself was ordering this 20+ year old polygun doujinshi off of eBay. It just arrived today, and I'm so happy.
Wolfwood has to sell his body to raise money for the orphanage. The gang finds out and feels bad for him, so they want to help him out. They know he's stubborn and won't take charity, so they decide to try to elicit his 'services' instead (but it's kinda hilarious). The girls don't even have any money, so they have to borrow some from Vash, and make it a 'two-fer' 😂
The new crown jewel in my collection. Bless.

What would you say is the main thing you look for in an anime? I love the medium of animation, but I've been disappointed/lost interest in most anime I've tried. I find one I really like every now and then, but there's little connection between them so I don't even know what it is I'm looking for.
I know them feels, man. I watched the first ep of something just the other day that I'd seen some buzz about, and bounced off it like legal consequences off a former President.
I personally look for adult storytelling these days. I want to see adult characters engaging in well-written plots. I've never been huge into swords and sorcery fantasy, so if it's a different world I want something with some kind of twist. The last series I really loved and still love was The Vampire Dies in No Time. It's straight-up silly comedy but the characters are all adults and the gags are pretty out of the box. Around the same time, I loved Blue Eye Samurai (which technically isn't anime, but close enough) and was really pretty impressed by the writing. Logistically it was about as silly as your typical anime but it had thoughtful character writing that's rare to find.
I've had some other series that really capture me at the onset, but then quickly devolve, like Dororo and Ranking of Kings. It seems hard for a lot of series to maintain their momentum and then, especially, to end well. I know being based on unfinished manga has got to be difficult to work with. There have also been some new series based on stuff I loved as a kid, like new Trigun and the Pluto series, that just did not grab me like they once did. The Trigun changes totally turned me off and Pluto didn't work for me as an anime the way it did as a manga.
Anyway, I can rec stuff to you that's really done it for me in the past. Gankutsuou, Last Exile, Berserk, Monster. I have a little more luck with movies than series these days. I think next up I'm going to look into that new Gegege no Kitaro movie, it's been getting a lot of doujinshi action and I always enjoyed the OG.

If you know of it, is there any plan to take a crack at translating it, and/or do you know of anywhere it already is translated?

No, I personally wasn't aware of this crossover comic existing. It is possible it was sold as a doujinshi while also being hosted on Pixiv.
Even if we were to have the original artist's permission to work on this comic, we won't be having a crack at it. Our focus remains on handling official works by Nightow or connected with Nightow.
If anyone wishes to try their hand at translating the crossover comic, then I fully encourage it, might even help a little if necessary, but it won't be anything that the Overhaul Team will be working on.
Thank you for asking, though. Maybe if we didn't have so much on our plate already it would've been something to consider.

Currently watching: nothing but soon I'll restart watching The Adventure of Dai (I miss watching the last 20 episodes), the old Trigun anime and other things I have in the queue to watch and/or re-watch, like Zorro 2024 and the Persona 3 anime movies.
Three ships: the ship used as a HQ in Suikoden IV and... what? Not that kind of ships? Oh, okay, then, um... JarNico (OCs), Pavelyan and Mshenko (lately I've been reading a lot of fanfics about them [not about the OCs though, Jar and Nico are in my head all day every day 😆]).
Favorite color: blue, but I love almost all colors honestly.
Currently consuming: castagnole di carnevale (but not as beautiful and good as the ones you can see in the photos. Because did you look for them, am I right? 😄)
First ship: Seifer Almasy x Squall Leonhart if I remember correctly. Damn, a lot of years have passed since last time I draws them in a sort of a doujinshi. 😱

Last movie: (worth mentioning:) Zorro 1940 😂 Hell, I need to try to watch more movies, but it's becoming next to impossible. 😭
