Being a witch

If you saw me you'll probably not recognise me as a witch, I don't wear big point hats and shoes, I don't have warts or dress in black all thoes kind of stereotypical images of a witch, of Halloween and worshiping Satan.

No no I'm non of that, and that's because being a witch is not a past time, it's not a hobbie it's a way of life. It's a kind of spirituality, it's a person that's in this world but not of it. Someone who feels the energy all around and knows how to use it and that's me in a nutshell.

The Celtic Way

I very much follow the Celtic way, Celtic spirituality (not Christianity), I came across this on the The Celtic Quill could not express myself and my way of life more clearly.

Celtic spirituality is based on a deep connection with the natural world. God is not a distant concept but a continual presence manifest in the whole of nature and deeply embedded in the world. For the ancient Celts, life itself was a ceremony, the whole of which was spiritually significant and magical. They considered the natural world divine and sensed the presence of their gods everywhere – in trees, rocks, rivers, bogs, and mountains.

Being at one

This is my favorite spot on the river Cogn Burn, its beautiful ist it. This is where I chat to my Goddess and recharg my crystals and myself.

Water for me is life itself it ebbs and flows, the energy recharges and heals and I have a particular affinity for water I am draw to it and it allows my magic to flow.

In this place the stones, the air, the trees, the soil all seem to converge here and the energy is amazing in this place. However I will not cast here, this is a place of renewal and supplication a place to commune and be at one with the elements and ones diety.

I do make offerings and and sail intentions for others, I'll meditate and soak and recharge.

Always remember what you take you must give back, offerings are so very important.

Being at one is when the 4 elements come together perfectly and forms the 5th element the spirit.

All my life I've been working with the elements and they play a big part in my intentions in my spell and sigil making. The elements and my Goddess help to keep me centered and grounded.

Be normal be natural

For me I just know I am a witch and many of us do. There are loads who know they are different but just haven't found their path to the craft. If that's you, just be you you'll work out if this is the right path for you I know I am an Elemental with Physic and Empathic abilities, but I only found this out over time, through study, practice and wisdom.

Your path, is your path and no one else's trust in your instincts, and don't run before you can walk. Remember - casting uses energy and can only be transfured or transformed. If your a new witch, that energy will be taken from you and can be dangerous, so be wise and be good.
