Transformers Rise of the Beast and Earthspark do a lot to showcase and center black people and our experiences in respectful ways. The Bay movies were incredibly anti black and made cariactures of black people and culture. ROTB showcases afro latin characters and african american characters as well, and showcases them in very positive lights and makes them integegral to the plots in ways that do not make them jokes.

Likewise, Earthspark centers on a Black Filipino family that offers positive homage to both characters and ties black (and filipino immigrant) struggles to the struggles the bots face - both decepticons and autobots. and that is just really refreshing.

TF does not have a good record for how it's treated black culture despite black people being a huge chunk of the fandom. that's why i love rise of the beast and earth spark and i will be seated june 9th.

I think a great character direction for Earth Spark Starscream would start with him wanting to get revenge on Megatron for siding with the humans, to at the end, just caring about the safety of the Decepticons and getting them off of Earth. Whether it be somewhere in space, or Cybertron (because i am with the hc that he's fused with the allspark, so if he goes back, cybertron is revived or even another planet is made habitable because of the all spark) , i think a massive change in direction would be for him to just look at all the decepticons in prison and being experimented on and just being overcome with a wave of sadness and is just like 'okay I need to help them I was second in command at a point'. So it's like he wants to free them, it's not even for glory or for a war, it is literally because he wants to send them home. I think especially after his sister was killed by Mandroid (and i can't remember if it was skywarp or nova), his perspective is going to change. Because the two were also experiemnted on like Starscream and he just wants to save as many people as he can.

He also gets Soundwave in on it too. Like Soundwave is probably filled with the most hatred toward Megatron and getting him to not want to kill Megatron is hard, but he finally relents and he and Starscream are just working on something - a ship, a grounbridge, anything to save the rest of the Decepticons.

And you know who else I could see helping per the leaks? Hashtag, especially since Hashtag can hack systems.

One of my personal aus is that in the middle of the night, they're able to do it. disable ghosts facilities thanks to hashtag and the groundbridge to some desolate planet that the allspark is able to revamp is operating. All these Decepticons, who have lost everything, some were slaves /prisoners on Cybertron and unfortuatnely on Earth get another chance of freedom and life because of Starscream, and they all just life on this planet free and happy. GHOST can't hurt them nor can the autobots. No one except Hashtag knows where the Decepticons are and since she helped, she has the access code to the Groundbridge and occasionally goes to visit Starscream who is like her sassy uncle.

Soundwave doesn't actually warm up to Hashtag and he deals with resentment the most, but Starscream and her exchange letters and stuff.
