The Lightning Puff - 2023

So this is my high school art diploma work. I destroyed Rick Riodans novel The Lightning Thief and created this tiny tainy cloud of pain and sorrow.

And yes there are lights inside the lightning⚡️

I always wanted to do art work this huge and disturbing. I hoped that Uncle Rick would see this but alas! No can do.

Sometimes I sit down and just doodle what I feel in my heart. I turn off the critical parts of my brain that worry about perspective, proportions, style, or anatomy. All those things that can get in the way of creating things. All the things that create an art block.

Whenever I do that, this is what comes out. These are my spirits. They're fun, happy, and honest.

I want to make more detailed and finished work of them. Sculptures, 3D animations, illustrations, character art. But the doodle will always be their most true expression.
