PKMN ScarVio DLC AU ~ Possessed!Kieran

Just finished the page for my contribution to the good ol’ Toxic Chain theory :OOO

I recently finished the Teal Mask and finishing up the Indigo Disk DLC and while i really did like the fact that Kieran’s actions were all his own and makes him a much more realistic/relatable character, I am feeling a little robbed we didn't get a possessed!kieran + i really did not like the direction they took w/ Mochi Mayhem. I felt like it was WAAAY too silly/comedic for my tastes (if you liked it more power to you tho!), and wish we had more lore/backstory and involvement of Pecharunt and the Loyal 3 respectivally.

so i wanted to try killing two birds with one stone and try to mash ID and MM together somewhat! So heres some sketches and concept stuff ft. My PKMN!Violet sona. And also make this AU ANGSTY AS FUCK-

im not a comedy/crack/silly person when it comes to stories involving manipulation/mind control type of stuff because i just get second hand embarressment for those under doing wierd stuff while not aware so if your looking for a “silly haha!” AU with this type of concept ive got bad news for ya… this AU aint gonna be for you-

Starting off… my design for when Kieran is fully possessed by Pecharunt!

I still really liked the fact that Kieran was like. FULLY aware and in his own mind/body during ID; so i want to keep that in this AU too - for the most part.

id like to think that once making a deal with Pecharunt and offering himself to it in order to become stronger, the little peach would slowly feed him mochi that would “numb the pain and guilt if he ever feels doubtful.” At the time of Pecharunt’s debut to the start of ID, pecharunt is extremely weak and thus, its influence isnt as effective or strong. However, when we meet Kieran again, he’s definately beginning to change. throughout the story, we see Kieran’s spiraling descent into madness as he becomes more intimidating and cynical.

i dont have a specific spot where hed have this outfit change, but ill figure it out lol.

However, i def think it would be a bit after his panic attack/mental break down when we defeat him. Since at this point he couldnt uphold his end of the deal with Pecharunt, it has no choice: he offered his body and mind to it to get stronger, but he couldnt keep it up. So now, he has to pay the price.

(This would be right after the Ex-Champ bit - fuck you Draydon)

however, instead of telling himself to get stronger like in canon… he mumbles something indescernable and unintelligable… and then he starts… laughing?

“K-Kieran…?”

“Uh… yo, earth to ex-champion… you doin’ alright-?”

Suddenly… he glares at us… no. He glares at you, tears streaming down his face but an animalistic and crazily wide smile is plastered on his face as he stumbles back up, hugging himself while letting out what one would think is the most maniacal, despairing, crazy cackling laughter one could hear.

That's when you see it - his eyes, formally a light yellow, now a bright yet darkly sinister shade of violet-magenta. The scrunchie he was wearing began growing two strings of toxic chains that waved around like tentacles, and lifted him up in the air like stilts, purple smoke filling the area.

what was happening… whats happened to Kieran.

The bottom sketch is a small scenario i had in mind!

i want pecharunt to have a larger role so here they are! After returning the teal mask to me and carmine and running off, he stumbles upon an injured and weak Pecharunt, and secretly nurses it back to health. Behind everyone’s backs the two spark a friendship/partnership!

i like to think pecharunt has good intentions and did genuinely want to help kieran get stronger, but i like to think that the toxins it gave to Kieran not only began to mess with Kieran’s mind, but with Pecharunt’s too.

how exactly? No idea just yet lol- ill figure that out later on down the line lol. Along with the loyal 3’s roles in the story as well.

QUICK DISCLAIMER! IM NOT SHIPPING MYSELF W/ KIERAN SINCE HES IMPLIED TO BE A TEEN AND IM A LEGAL ADULT!! the DLC came out when i was 17; almost 18 (released a few days before my bday actually!)

i like to think that when this story and AU respectively take place, Kieran is 14 while im 16 turning 17 that fall in Teal Mask (Carmine being 18 or 19?), then in Indigo Disc Kieran is 16, im 18, and Carmine is 19/20. So me and kieran are 2 years apart, while me and Carmine are 1-2 years apart.

Its mostly because id like to think me and kieran’s dynamic is similar to a close friend i have irl and wanted to write it as such while retaining the canon story too. If that makes sense lol.

And one more sady drawing when kieran is freed from Pecharunt’s control!

i think i speak for everyone that we needed a scene where we hugged kieran after all the shit he’s been through-

another idea for the toxic chain Kieran au

POSSIBLE TEAL MASK + EPILOG DLC SPOILERS

so like, a lot of these aus have Kieran sorta fusing with pecharunt (in a sense), so why not go fully into it and have the mc and ogerpon do something similar

Basically after the mochi starts spreading, Ogerpon remembers that when they were fighting pecharunt that the mask protected from the mochi, so wanting to protect mc: ogerpon gives mc one of the mask. As a result of this mc gets sorta a magical transformation where when they put on the mask thier outfit changes to match how it looks during its terra form, and probably give any pokemon they send out a matching boost that ogerpon gets while it has the mask.

Edit: Extra points if they get the cudgel

Wanting to actually draw and post stuff about our Toxic Chain AU Kieran that we’ve been working on for the past few weeks (and still figuring out a name for), but we aren’t very confident in our human/humanoid drawings xd

The basic idea of it is that when Kieran makes the deal with Pecharunt (power in exchange for being chained and Pecharunt hanging out with him almost 24/7 because it still wants a friend), his willingness and eagerness to accept the chain causes it to react differently than it did with the Loyal 3 (who were largely unwilling). It becomes more of a part of him than it did them; pretty much burrowing under his skin (in contrast to the 3’s all being on them like more like clothing items). The poison being so entrenched in him also causes some other physical and mental changes that emerge over time as he embraces the chain’s effects and his growing closeness with Pecharunt.

We love playing around with concepts of what it means to be human; what’s the border between human and nonhuman? Is it mental? Is it physical? Is it spiritual? Is it some sort of mix of those and more? (In our personal experience it’s a complicated mix but that’s a topic for our alterhumanity blog lol).

Projecting that onto Kieran with his connection to Pecharunt becoming more physical and showing itself in ways that make his humanity debatable in most peoples’ eyes, and him embracing it despite everything; it’s something that we have been having so much fun thinking about and developing

It’s so self indulgent but hey, that’s what AUs are for! We’ve already made an ask/RP blog for it too XD (it’s @chained-champion; the pinned has more specifics about the AU in it if you wanna know more)

You know how y'all are into the whole Pecharunt possession over Kieran thing? Well, I have one enlightening thought.

What if Pecharunt possessed Juliana instead as an AU?

Like at the end of the Teal Mask and before to Indigo Disk, Juliana was in shambles over betraying Kieran for simply lying to him because she was told to do so and regretted not telling him and having a crush on him which makes her feel worse and going as far as hating herself for being silent about it.

At her vulnerable moment, Pecharunt possessed her and basically made her convinced that being nice(befriending a shy gentle boy who never had a friend before) and obedient(being told to not tell Kieran out of safety but look what happened) is what got her in trouble and she should forget about it if she wanted to ruin herself and others around her more. She should focus on being more stronger, not rely on anyone and not let herself be distracted anymore.

And that led to Juliana undergo a change. From being a friendly and caring person who battles for fun to a very cold person who pushes away her friends out of underlying fear to not hurt anyone anymore and focuses on being a better battler than she already is. She no longer battles for fun; she battles and trains to get stronger and push herself hard to be better and perfect and not get attached anymore and not to be distracted.

It gets to the point that even Kieran, who at the time is obsessed with getting stronger in order to simply beat Juliana, to notice something isn't right with Juliana and her habits aren't healthy(that's saying something coming from him who doesn't get enough sleep and trains nonstop) and slowly grew concerned with her as his feelings for her resurfaced.

His concerns grew even more when Ogerpon, the pokemon who chose Juliana over him, and the friendly Raidon(Juliana had switched for the aggressive one) goes to him for help them snap Juliana out and get Pecharunt's control off of her.

Kieran sees Juliana as the hero and possibly himself being the villain. But now it became the hero turned villain and the villain becomes the anti-hero situation.

I dunno, this idea got me thinking hard and the possibilities here!

MOCHI MOCHI

But it was a bit darker!

Here's my rewrite on the event!

(Some info: Main character doesn't exist, the main 3 visit Kitikami for sight seeing)

Rather than the whole town getting possessed, it is going to be Arven, Nemona, and Penny.

Traveling to a new place must have been hard for them in some way, right? Surely there's some feelings and desires still trapped in them!

Penny had gotten bullied by some of the people in Kitikami, and didn't know how to stop them on her own, without Team Star. But her desire to beat the bullies led to her meeting Dokutaro.

Nemona couldn't find anyone that could rival her in her strength, and desired to find the perfect rival so she wouldn't have to hold back. With her meeting Dokutaro, she's able to be be even stronger, and since Kieran and Carmine have to defeat her, in a way, she found her match.

Arven's main feeling was jealously. Nemona and Penny still had their parents alive, while Arven lost his father, Turo. Kieran and Carmine had their grandparents to take care of them, while Arven was alone. So, he goes to Dokutaro for help, and while the others have some form of consciousness, Arven's mind is completely taken over by Dokutaro. In his mindscape, he has his father there for him, and he doesn't want to leave >:)))))

So yeah, this is my AU and my first kinda real post on the whole toxic chain shenanigans.

I got an angsty idea for a Kieran possession scenario

Instead of Koraidon/Miraidon protecting Kieran from terapagos, the player character does instead and gets critically injured. After the whole terapagos debacle Kieran visits PC in the ER and Kieran uses pecharunt’s power to fulfill his desire not to get stronger like originally intended but to save PC but can you really live on borrowed time? For a while everything is fine with Kieran trying to fight control of his mind until the second trip to Kitakami with the area zero gang in the epilogue. After the gang get possessed, PC is adamant on capturing pecharunt to free their friends with Kieran trying to prevent them as he doesn’t want to lose them again and tells them but doesn’t know what else to do to solve the crisis with PC having to decide either to capture pecharunt and the possibility of the wish wearing off and dying or to accept pecharunt being free to do whatever and live but the gang is still possessed. Or to find a third option… but miracles don’t exist right?

I might expand on this once the epilogue actually comes out and can see how pecharunt’s powers work and if what I have in mind can actually work out or if I have to slightly alter canon so yeah

Tl;dr instead of Kieran getting possessed from wanting power, it’s a selfless reason and for atonement for his past actions

Edit: Oh yeah I also forgot to add that in this scenario, Kieran is fighting the possession the entire time during the mochi mayhem epilogue and nearly gives in a few times because of the stress of the situation so that’s fun :)

In all seriousness, I want this to actually happen. I don't mean it as 'canon' but it's still a fun idea to think about. If you want your Pecharunt to join the Klan, just reblog or comment on the post then I’ll change it accordingly. HOWEVER! There is 1 condition the Pecharunt must fulfill:

If they are antagonists or villains on their own and not being controlled by someone else. They are placed in members and allies

If their morality spectrum needs work, but not outright evil, they are in neutral to enemies

This is sort of why I put Kieranrunt in enemies since maybe he does not agree with the rest of the Pechas? He probably gets some identity crisis later on, mainly whose side to join, he makes up his mind later on. BT doesn’t seem to be evil according to his lore which is why he’s not part of the Klan and he’s not exactly against them yet, which is why I placed him in neutral. Also, I just wanna thank myself (and being a bit kind to myself) for coming up with the AU names for TC and BT Pecharunt. This list is subject to change and will be changed accordingly through and through if people want to add their Pecharunt au to it. Also, they all have a human/humanoid forms as they learnt it from my au Pecharunt, (not fully fleshed out in his au so he's not here yet) their forms are related to them but also being related to how Possessed Kieran looks like in his Au. If you don't want any of your AUs to be involved, I'll remove it

Toxic Consequences AU: Chapter 1

Ally or Traitor?

(As always, notes will be under the cut. Enjoy!)

Kieran hated how everything went. Those two exchange students got to keep Ogerpon while he, the one who admired it since he was little, didn't.

It was unfair, and Kieran knew it. Not only that, but Florian and Juliana lied to him about the truth, that Ogerpon was the victim and that the Loyal 3 were villains.

Even his sister lied to him about it all...

Now Kieran was the Ogre in this situation.

Everyone else was against him, he truly was alone.

Until he wasn't.

Kieran was sitting behind the store Peachy's when he glanced ahead to see a strange Pokémon in front of him.

The Pokémon was about the size of Kieran's head, and had a pink outer shell covering its round body.The Pokémon looked a lot like a Pecha Berry, except a bit different. It stared at Kieran with glowing yellow eyes, interested in him.

"Wowzers..." Kieran mumbled. He'd never seen this Pokémon before, although it did resemble that odd plush at Peachy's. Maybe it was a new species or something?

The odd thing stared back at Kieran, it seemed to know why he was so upset, much to his confusion and bewilderment.

"You're an odd Pokémon, aren't you? I-I mean, I've never seen one like you before..."

Kieran started to get a little excited. He might have discovered a new species of Pokémon! He could get all the fortune and fame and not be the sniveling, pathetic, weak-

Kieran stopped himself from finishing that thought. He didn't want to linger on thinking so lowly of himself.

But it is true, isn't it?

Kieran glanced at the Pokémon. Was he going crazy or did he hear it talk? It wasn't really like normal talking. Rather, the voice echoed in his mind.

The voice came back, stronger than last time.

If you were stronger, then people would like you.

If you weren't a pathetic coward, then maybe you'd be seen as useful.

If you weren't so WEAK, then maybe Ogerpon would've chosen you!

That one snapped Kieran out of his state. He wanted to do something, anything, to fix his current situation.

Kieran looked back at the peach Pokémon, and to his surprise, it was offering him.... mochi?

Kieran's grandmother used to make mochi, and it was his favorite snack... but it was never that deep purple color.

It didn't seem harmful... so Kieran accepted it. He took a bit out of the purple colored treat. Upon tasting the mochi, it was incredibly sweet, like Pecha Berries, but nothing like Kieran tasted before.

"Wow... this is really good." Kieran said, smiling.

Despite the treat being a delight, Kieran was instantly reminded of his current situation again. Of being lied to about the Ogre, how they got to be friends with it... how they get to fix its mask....

Wait..... fix its mask.... that's it!

If Kieran took the mask and was able to fix it then surely Ogerpon would want to be with him, right? Then he would be able to show it that he's not just some weak kid, and it'd go with him! It had to work, it had to!

Yes, yes. Steal the mask. Bring it to Loyalty Plaza when you do.

Kieran looked back at the odd Pokémon. It wouldn't hurt to listen to it... besides, he didn't have any other options.... did he?

... No. It had to be done.

He made up his mind. Kieran knew what he had to do. He had to steal the Teal Mask.

HELL YEAH CHAPTER 1 IS OUT WOOOOOOOOOOT

I probably won't have the new chapter a day schedule I've been doing so far, but I'll try my best.
