白昼というと、「白昼の死角」というハードボイルド映画のCMが思い出されます。

There used to be castle build by duke Kazimierz I Opolski in beginning of 13 century from first Polish royal family. Before there was wooden and soil build castle of Opolanie- Slavic tribe. Last Piast owner died in 1532 Jan II Dobry ( Good-one) and in beginning of 20 century Germans destroyed castle but remained tower after huge protests of Polish minority. Now this tower is Opole symbol known as a Piasts Tower ( Wieża Piastowska ).
