Welcome everybody, to the Buffyverse Characters Tournament semi finals!
That's right - we're down to the last four characters: Dru, Cordy, Faith and Buffy!
Summary of the last round for those who missed it:
Buffy yet again got the biggest sweep of the round, winning against Giles with 83% of the vote!
If you've been keeping score, you might notice that this makes the quarter finals the first round where no character got over 90% of the vote in a poll
The closest contest was Faith vs Tara, which managed to be an even closer contest than Faith vs Spike - Faith just about managed to claim victory with 50.9% of the vote!
Dru and Faith both beat characters who were seeded significantly higher than them. Congrats ladies!
With Fred knocked out, there are now no ATS-exclusive characters left in the tournament. Godspeed, Cordy - it's up to you to represent Angel Investigations now

vanished for a few days, final between the TARDIS and Iris Wildthyme will probably go up the day after tomorrow, or possibly the day after that, haven't forgotten about it just busy
#had a lot on on friday#exam and a dalek funeral#(being on the exec of my university's doctor who society is fun)#was pretty dead on my feet yesterday so forgot about it#also forgot about it today between studying and what not#exam on tuesday means not going to want to do it tomorrow#but since the tuesday exam is in the morning and i know i'll want to crash for the rest of the day after its over#will probably do it that afternoon#fully anticipating a massive sweep for the tardis#but who knows#as i said a month ago#getting new rounds out in a timely manner is not high on my priority list at the moment#and is part of the reason im doing mini tournaments#because i want to give my full effort on the big ones#okay#anyway#point is the final will be happening at some point in the next few days

Quick pre-poll before the actual tournament starts!
I mentioned before that each poll will include links to the songs. However... How do you want the poll posts to look? Would you prefer the links to the songs to be embedded into the posts (Example A), or would you prefer that the songs are linked through hyperlinks that send you to another location (aka open a Youtube tab)
Example A pros:
More convenient, no need to change tabs
The posts will contain more images and be longer, which will make them more visual and harder to miss
It's safer, no need to click an unknown link, you get a Youtube video embedded in the post and if you choose to open it on another tab you know where the link is taking you.
Example A cons:
The posts will be longer.
The visual formatting will be a bit redundant. The polls will include photos of the contenders on top, embedding the videos at the bottom will mean getting very similar pics at the bottom
Example B pros:
Shorter posts, less invasive
We avoid visual formatting redundancy. No similar images at both top and bottom of the posts.
Example B cons:
Shorter posts will be harder to miss while scrolling through your dashboards/phones.
No previsualization. While you can trust me and all hyperlinks will lead to their respective songs, this is the internet, it's understandable to be weary of clicking into unknown links
