came home at 8:45 from work and 🌸 was already fast asleep fully dressed on the bed phone in hand completely unresponsive to sound including name-calling and loud floor creaks
probably they were planning to get more work done this evening but i'm going to sabotage that by turning their light off and ordering takeout so i don't make any cooking noises to wake them up, hopefully causing them to get up to a full 12 hours of sleep for what i think would be the first time in two and a half years
#can't check if their alarms for tomorrow are set‚ unfortunately‚ bc they don't have a fingerprint unlock phone anymore#so i can't do the ''cleverly manipulate your hand to unlock your phone in your sleep and set your alarms for you'' trick as i once did.#but we get up at the same time on fridays bc i have early meeting so i'll notice if they didn't.#box opener#girlfriend tag#i feel like my frequent blogging topics imply that my main interest in 🌸 is their sleep habits. it isn't but back when i was originally#becoming truly obsessed/falling in miserable secret love with them in college#it was roughly contemporaneous with their period where they tried to add our school's notorious theoretical cs program on top of their#existing bio/chem double major and 20hr/wk research commitments#and accordingly their sleep schedule would range from '4am-8am' to 'no'.#at the time i was very worried i was having an evil influence on their life (due to the corrosive nature of my secret passions obviously)#and my main countervailing evidence was how frequently i managed to convince them that going to sleep at 2am was ok to do#so i suppose. it remains a topic of some small interest.#also of course i am sulking a little because they are asleep so we can't hang out. so it helps to make it into a scheme i'm doing

my dad came in and saw me on the couch (for the first time all day and i had literally just sat down for less than a minute when he came in) w heating pad and immediately goes "you have two options" (different chores to do) (as if i was like 10 years old and getting punished for something that i didnt even know i did wrong). what about secret third option where you treat me like an adult or i don't come home for winter next year. #panda posts#the all knowing panda answers questions#ask number 139#bragging in the tags because i don't get to say this stuff to anyone irl but i graduated as unofficial valedictorian of my class 😌#my school doesn't do valedictorian or salutatorian for whatever reason but the newspaper publishes the top ten percent in a specific order#that has no like... visible ranking? like it's not alphabetical so everyone assumes it's by clsss rank and my name was at the top#i also graduated with a perfect 4.0 gpa and was one of the 5 out of the 250#-that graduated in my class#michelle was another one of the 5 to graduate with a 4.0 she was number 3 in the unofficial ranking#i made it into half the colleges i applied to (which is to say i made it into all the in state schools I applied to and the out of state#schools i applied to were yale harvard mit brown and upenn so like my chances of getting in were not very high)#however i did get into the honors program i applied to at the college i ended up going to (if you've picked up what state i live in you can#probably guess which college im going to just by knowing i stayed in state) and i only applied to the honors program on a whim like... 5#hours before applications were due and still managed to make it in 😌#granted now i regret that because michelle did not get in and I don't get to live in honors housing but it's whatever#anyways that's the end of my little bragging rights i just wanted a chance to show off a little bit and I don't get to irl so i figured i#would here since tumblr is a judgement free zone

#Stage fright do be frightening#It was such a good interview too#I couldn't have asked for that interview to go any better than it did other than if he offered me the job at the end#Just wasn't enough sadly#Even though it's been like 4 days since the rejection message#I wrote a very friendly and polite email though so hopefully I'll get a nice response back#I think I really was very close to getting the job but we'll have to see#I always forget that interviews aren't usually a one and done kinda thing#That you really want them to ask you to interview again#I just get so nervous#Like how could I top what I already put my all into#Beeg sigh#I'll just have to keep an eye out for any other job openings at that facility#Or pray that the not so great interview I did for the other job was good enough#I'm sending that interviewer an email tomorrow morning as well#Hoping some extra info will beef up my candidacy for the job#Or at least remind him that I exist and am willing to put my all into whatever job I manage to land#Getting down to the wire now#If every job I apply for takes 2 weeks just to give me even a vague idea of how well I'm faring then I'm fucked#There's less than a month left in this program and I have to have a job squared away before it ends#Or they'll try to shove me in whatever role is available#I can always go back home but that's quitter talk and also might get me blacklisted in the industry#Plus I'd have to payback the bonus which wouldn't be so bad if it was 1 for 1 but it was taxed so damn heavily#That I'd be out like 800 bucks ugh#Oh the anxiety
