Now I’m just in a mood to show off my orchids :D

I used to have more but alas! Shortly before I moved last summer a fungal infection of some sort took my tiny stash. I’m now re-starting my hoard. Mostly these were like. $10 phalaenopsis that you can find in the grocery store. Except the yellow one! I got her even cheaper bc she looked half dead. Am pleased she’s looking so good now. She’s so leafy!

If you are thinking these colors go particularly well together—I have a color scheme so thanks! All I’m missing now is a salmon/peach colored phal. And then I can move on to collecting tolumnia and paphiopedilum. Also in similar colors. Listen. I have a Thing about colors ok?

I’ve never had a tolumnia before. They’re proving tricky to find, so if anyone has a US supplier who is willing to ship them, please let me know!

Tolumnia variegata: Native to the Caribbean, this species grows on the tips of branches in fairly exposed conditions. This orchid enjoys being grown on slabs or in pots with charcoal. Tragically, I like orchids now as well (I needed more plants like I needed an axe to the foot). At least this Tolumnia is putting on an adorable show. Three stalks with blooms still left to open. I hope I have a good touch with orchids!
