Another continuation of my Fiolee brain rot.

Both Marshall and Gary are extremely protective of Fionna, especially towards each other, they have to take shifts on who takes care of her or they’ll fight.

Fionna asks Marshall what he thinks about her name choices, he’ll give his honest opinion, but then ask “shouldn’t it be up to you? they’re yours.” Fionna pauses, looking down as she cradles her stomach. “Yeah, you’re right.”

Gary takes Fionna shopping for baby clothes, he keeps presenting all the pink options to her. Fionna eventually finds a onesie in black and becomes enamored, Gary is not amused “Ohh…😒”

Cake stays close to Fionna, always at her heels, meowing at the door when she’s at work.

People trying to defend Ad//am are really getting on my nerves. I wish I had the energy to write out a long meta about this but I’m tired and it’s been a long week and I am nowhere near as eloquent as my counterparts so I will just say this.

Love is NOT selfish. It doesn’t matter if he wanted to spend his best years with Shiro. If you love someone, REALLY love someone, you are there for them and stand by them. Let me give you an example.

My boyfriend and I have known each other for eight years now and been dating for nearly three. Our toughest time together was this past year, where we moved across the country and he started the most difficult phase in his new job he possibly could. He could have taken a different path, could have chosen a different career. But he didn’t. He’s brilliant, mind you, but this training is meant to weed out the weak and only take the smartest, and it was hell. Every night he would come home, put on PJs, lay down in our bed for an hour, drink heavily, then sleep. He was miserable. He wasn’t taking care of himself - wasn’t exercising, wasn’t eating well, didn’t see any of his friends - and it was putting strain on our relationship and his health.

We had our very first fight over something innocuous and we both had to sit down. We had to talk. I asked him if he really thought this job was worth it. He said it was. He promised me he was. It’s something he has ALWAYS wanted to do. It’s his dream.

And even though we were stressed, even though we were frustrated and tired and at our wits end, I stood by him. For his eventual happiness, I stood by him.

I could have said no.  I could have said that he should stop, that we are too stressed and he should knock it off, but I didn’t.  And you know what?  We’re stronger for it.  Because we sat down and talked about it, we worked through it together.  We figured this out.

Love is NOT selfish.  It can’t be.  Love is compromise and communication and understanding.  And fuck any of you all who think otherwise.
