Can we talk about 12 Splinter's death at the end of Season 3 and how the world ended at the same time?

Like, what a crazy allegory...the turtles' (+ April & Casey's) world literally ended the moment Splinter died.

Can you imagine what they felt at the end of Season 4 when he died for real? And the world didn't stop spinning. People kept walking, cars kept driving, the city lights stayed on and Splinter was dead.

It couldn't be real. How come now one stopped to grieve? Why was the world turning when theirs' was gone?

Incorrect Heart Of Evil Conversation

*Leo snapped at Donnie for almost getting them killed, calling him crazy and obsessive. Donnie did not take the lecture well*

*As they’re settling in the kitchen*

Donnie: *innocently* Leo?

Leo: *cautious side-eye* …Yes?

Donnie: Is it okay if I keep my staff in the sheath, or are you worried I’ll do something crazy with it?

Leo: *through gritted teeth* You can keep your staff.

Donnie: Oh, good. *sarcastic smile as he puts it away* You can see the staff too. I was afraid I was imagining it.

Leo: Donatello…

Karai: *tired of their tension* Alright. That’s enough

April: *worried* What’s going on?

Leo: Nothing’s going on. Everything’s fine.

Mikey: *as he passes by while playing with Chompy* I’ll tell you later

Donnie: *bitterly* My brother believes I’m mentally unstable. And since there’s a genetic component and we share DNA… *looks Leo dead in the eyes* I suppose it’s possible.

Raph: *Looking between them eagerly*

Leo: *dark scowl* I know you’re angry right now, but you will not be disrespectful.

Donnie: *sits down thoughtfully* You know, fits of rage are a classic sign of psychosis…

Leo: Oh, you haven’t seen fits of rage yet-!

Karai: I said that’s enough! Both of you are acting like lunatics!

Mikey: *pops up next to April* You up to speed?

April: *rolls eyes* I think I got it.

Okay, I Know This is Their Canon Concept Art

Leo: 5’1”

Raph: 5’0”

Donnie: 5’6”

Mikey: 4’10”

But I Don’t Think These are Their Actual Canon Heights and Here’s Why:

I’m Mostly Just Doing Donnie, Since if We Have a Good Idea of How Tall He Is, The Others Fall Into Place

In the Episode Metalhead, Donnie says: “I Can’t Keep Fighting Alien Technology with a 6 Foot Staff”

Which Literally Means it’s 6FT (Technically 5.96FT)

Later in That Same Episode, Donnie Has to Go Help His Brothers When Metalhead Breaks and Splinter Throws Him His Bow Staff

When Donnie Bows, He Places the Staff So it Stands Straight Up, and When He Stands Straight, He is Slightly Taller

Taking Into Mine and My Husband’s Heights (Solely Because When I Hug Him, That is About Where My Head Rests)

I Am 5’4” and My Husband is 5’11”

I’m Assuming That April is of Average Height for a Teenage Girl, So I’d Put Her Height Between 5’3” and 5’7”

Plus Casey is Said to be About 5’8” and Donnie Usually Seems a Smidge Taller

That Also Makes the Right Amount of Height Difference Between April and Casey - About 4-5 Inches

So, I Would Put Donnie Between 5’10” and 6’1”

Not 5’6” Like Their Concept Art Suggests

(Plus, if you take into account that Irma is shorter than April. Irma is also probably the same height as an average teenage girl. So if I place April at 5’6”, that makes Irma about 5’3” which is still a normal height.)

(Note That in Later Episodes, Donnie Is Shorter Than His Staff, Leading ME to Believe That He Did, In Fact, Upgrade to a 7 Foot Staff - As Splinter Sarcastically Mentioned in Metalhead)

Based on Donnie’s Height and The Comparison Between Donnie, April, and Casey - I Would Personally Place Their Heights At:

Leo: 5’8”

Raph: 5’6”

Donnie: 6’0”

Mikey: 5’5”

April: 5’6”

Casey: 5’9”

Splinter: Probably Like 6’5”

Irma (For Extra Reference): 5’3”

This is all the proof I have, and it’s not canon, I’m just trying to math the math, and I personally think they’re way taller than their concept art suggests.

let's talk about 12 april's guilt.

she's the reason the invasion started right then and there in s2, right? she brought irma to the lair and subprime almost killed her family. she led the kraang into her friends' home. she's the reason they got driven out of their only safe place.

it's her fault. and through that, they had to leave behind master splinter, which nearly got him killed. then they split from leo, and he got sent into a 3 month coma. donnie got shot. raph and casey nearly died multiple times trying to get to her apartment. her dad got mutated again.

it's her fault. that's what she tells herself. it's what resonates deep inside of her each waking hour.

imagine how devastating that is? how much it crushed her? how one simple mistake led to their city going up in flames and almost brought down her entire family?

and she's half kraang too, right? do you think she believes that this is all she's good for? that no matter what she does to be a good friend, person, daughter, she's forever destined to end the very family that had loved her as she is?

that she's programmed to do the kraang's deeds, whether she wants to or not. whatever she does, it ends in disaster. one terrible thing after another.

she most likely hates herself for that. if she hadn't trusted irma, hadn't brought her to the lair, hadn't been born-

despite her intentions, they'll forever lead to danger, to the deaths of her family.

how is she meant to be around them, exist at the same time as them, knowing she's a ticking time bomb ready to explode? how much longer until she turns on them? until her actions are out of her control? until she kills one of them...or all of them?

(it comes true. of course it does. she killed donnie. she thought she had herself under control. she thought the kraang in her blood had gone dormant. but she's foolish, and she'd succumbed to the crystal.)

of course, she tells no one. she doesn't tell them how much she hates herself, how all the blame lands on her shoulders, how she just wishes she could disappear so her friends would stop hurting.

she keeps quiet, because maybe, the universe will let her keep her family a little bit longer. bad people don't deserve such things. but she's selfish. and bad people are selfish too.
