SPOILERS FOR SCARLET/VIOLET UNDER THE CUT
Fun Fact about her and Arven:
Starting somewhere around the second or third Titan, Senpai will often call Arven "big guy" when addressing him while speaking to him; they will also jokingly call him "big buddy" in response to being called "little buddy".
In the hypothetical Japanese version, also starting somewhere around the second or third Titan, she will ALMOST ALWAYS refer to him as 「ペパーちゃん」 (Peper-chan), even, for example, when talking to...
Classmates who only vaguely know him or know of him (such as Nemona before The Way Home or any of the other students who have classes with Arven--if Senpai happens to know they have classes with him--or students who are in classes that Arven and Senpai have together),
Geeta (when it is confirmed that she probably at least knows of Arven upon Senpai's completion of the initial Academy Ace tournament, since she attended the tournament, likely watched Senpai's battle with Arven, is closely associated with the Academy, and is implied to have some sort of connection to Professor Sada)(NO SPOILERS FOR THAT LAST PART IF IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED),
The teachers, and/or
Director Clavell.
Uhh I guess some hypothetical Japanese honorific stuff for Penny and Nemona:
Nemona:
She would probably want Senpai to start using just her name (ネモ Nemo) without honorifics upon his completion of Victory Road. He would say ネモさん (Nemo-san) up until that point. He would just call her "Nemona" in English.
Penny:
Senpai would say Penny's name with -san (ボタンさん Botan-san) at first, but would start saying ボタンちゃん (Botan-chan) after The Way Home. He would also use -san for Cassiopeia. He would just call her "Penny"/"Cassiopeia" in English.

Next week feels like it could be a good point to do a poll on how people are feeling about Horizons based on japanese airing :D I am so, SO in love with this season so far and HZ011 just, stole my heart with how good the ep plot is. So fricking good.
Like, there was a wild fire some time before Liko, Roy, Nemo and Molly arrive to the forest where Rayquaza clues took them, and the way everyone reacts to it and how the wild fire's effects are explained is, so real. I cannot tell if it's 100% accurate but I feel like the message behind the episode is very, very well done, and oddly in tune with recent wild fire incidents.
Heck, Liko even makes a point in telling Roy to NOT tell Hogator to use Ember because it would cause another wild fire in this dry season, and y'know what? I fricking love that. before subs I was kinda confused on why she told him to not do that and with subs, it made 1000% sense and I feel silly for not understanding it, haha.
Like, the main plot is kinda how Titan Arboliva is wearing another ancient pokeball but the episode still focuses on the aftermath of wild fire and how it affects the enviroment and Pokémon living in it and I just. Am glad Horizons/PM2023 decided to do a plot about it.
Next week is even gonna be about them trying to help the forest recover from it and I just. Oh gosh I really am excited to see how next week goes. Also happens to be airing right on my birthday. I love this!!

i honestly wasn’t sure what - if anything - this season was gonna do with the Paldean stuff outside of Terapagos, but i’m surprised that they went with a Titan-scale Pokémon with this Arboliva (which is not in the Titan roster in the games) and tied it in with part of the myth arc going on, with it being attached to another Ancient Pokéball similar to the one the crystalline shiny Rayquaza emerged from

Episode 11 of Pokémon Horizons did these things:
Tell us more about Molly.
Have a Titan battle with Arboliva.
Be realistic about wildfires and its effects, not only the trees, but the species living in the affected forests.

How has gen 9 been treating you?
Not going to go into bugs/performance because obviously I've been having those.
Small rant that turns into a short review for every new Pokemon, oop.
Really love the characters and such! Really do not like the dex. One of my least favorite dexes since like... Gen 5. A lot of the mons look like they asked someone to who never seen a Pokemon design one on how they think a Pokemon would look like. A lot don't evolve. There are some reallllly ugly ones.
Scovillain and the Gimmighoul line might be some of my least favorite Pokemon... ever? Idk. Scovillain is ugly and looks like it should evolve again but never does. Gholdengo or whatever is self explanatory. Just look at it.
The other ones I just don't really have an opinion on. No you know what? Screw it. I'm doing a review of each pokemon right now.

Sprigatito - Love

Palafin - Dislike. I mostly dislike this mon off the principle that it doesnt change at all during evolution. Why does it need to evolve? It should just have the ability by default at that point.
Varoom - Love
Revavroom - Like
Cyclizar - Dislike. The thought of a lizard pokemon also being a bike is dumb to me.
Orthworm - HATE. This thing looks like a fischer price toy you'd see on the floor at like a daycare. It's ugly and its titan pokemon creepd me out.

Overall I like more than I dislike, but... I don't really have strong opinions on a lot of them. They're just oh i guess this is exists and I dont hate it so I must like it. Idk. Flop dex for me. It felt like they focused more on quantity than quality because this game is open world. That's just my opinion and this is very subjective.

Pokemon Scarlet Nuzlocke (3)
Beating the Desert Titan was easy for Zulia. Then I tried to get a my Bramblin to evolve but for some reason I wasn’t able to get it too after over 10 minutes of walking with it so I just went with training up Sheeba the Houndoom and Yarni the Spidops to deal with Tulip (Tulip x Dendra, y’all) and then evolved Severa into an Armarouge to easily take out Grusha’s Ice pokemon (late game Ice gyms get Ice types fucked over so much). With all the Gym Badges done I had the Titans and Team Star left, so I went up and Gogh dealt with the Fairy type Team Star leader and on the way to the last Titan Zulia died against a random trainer’s Copperrajah on the Tatsugiri island. Now the last of the Titan’s is dealt with and Arven’s Mabosstiff is healed so now to deal with the last Team Star which Zaius and Severa was able to defeat but at the cost of Elias the Aboliv. I trained up Cyrovain the Frigibax before finishing up the Team Star storyline in a close fight against Director Clavell but a quick fight against Cassiopeia. Catching Razzle the Toedscool (and evolving it) in the last area I could catch a ‘mon gave me a Grass/Ground type so I could then take on the Elite 4. Honestly the Elite 4 wasn’t that tough and the final Nemona fight was a series of OHKO’s with only her terastallized Skeledirge surviving long enough to do a single hit. hell, Arven put up more of a fight than Nemona did and nearly killed Cereza the Quaquaval.
Spoilers for Area Zero.
Going to Area Zero and getting lost at one point when I had to save and finish it later. I thought that Sada actually either sent herself back in time and then learned she can’t go back or it sucked her in, so I was surprised that she died protecting Koraidon against the other one. The AI Sada fight was rough and it was annoying that Kora the Pawmot and AI-Sada’s Sandy Shocks apparently had the same speed and it was a coin toss because sometime I’d go first and then she’d go first but it ended up with Kora dying. It was a bit cheap that the final Koraidon fight was rigged since I had 1 HP left and was hit with an attack but didn’t die “Koraidon held on”. Anyways that was the end of the Scarlet Nuzlocke and while there’s some things that I’d like to have seen done better, it was still a fun game and hopefully they improve for Gen 10.
Here’s my final team’s survivors:
Cereza the Quaquaval (F): lv 5-66
Zaius the Annihilape (M): lv 19-66
Gogh the Grafaiai (M): lv 20-65
Sena the Tinkaton (F): lv 20-67
Severa the Armarogue (F): lv 28-66
and the deaths were:
Bakon the Lechonk (M): lv 3-15
Frieda the Growlithe (F): lv 16-20
Boogy the Sandygast (M): lv 22-26
Zulia the Espathra (F): lv 17-43
Elias the Arboliva (M): lv 7-55
Kora the Pawmot (F): lv 28-64

Personally I just love scaranoa approach to catching a pokemon is literally walk up to it, knowing it could tear her to shred. Grab it, give pets and a sandwich while it's reaction is confusion/ anger then more confusion to acceptance. Honestly I think this would more funny, with the gang showing and saying famous line: Hey, Noa what you go there? Noa: A smoothie while holding/ petting a dangerous titan/ paradox or angry nature god pokemon. Or very concerned as Noa is bleeding then says it's alright it's giving me kisses and love( hissing/ bites/ pecking)
lmao you have the Flamigo she straight up grabbed, being too confused to even react, and just accepts it.
A Flittle that won't stop pecking as it gets petted.
A Rufflet that is doing the most DAMAGE, like god damn, Arven has to break out the first aid kit for this one because a Rufflet tried starting shit with her, underestimating just how much Scarnoa LOVES birds to just grab one.
legitimately, Scarnoa is a scratched up, bleeding mess and Arven is just "PLEASE STOP."
Scarnoa grabbed a Pom Pom Oricorio, and it just stayed still, absolutely baffled like, "??????"
The Rookidee is like that one bird banding tiktok, where it's like "here's what other birds are like"
"and then there's the blue tit/great tit" (forget which one, but either one is EXACTLY what Rookidee is based off of, since it's a mixmatch)
Just constantly pecking, but not doing enough damage. Absolutely CONFUSED how its eyes aren't scaring her off.
And there's teh Eiscue that Scarnoa grabbed from the water, literally waded in, little guy just watching and then just lets it happen when she grabs them and Koraidon goes in to drag them out of the water.
She just keeps grabbing birds, because she wants them. The only one she wasn't able to do that with is Bombirdier, because the fucker kept pecking her and Arven just caught the damn thing for her.
Wattrel was just a confused electric birdy that got grabbed and it just kept chirping. :V
And Fletchling just stayed on her shoulder and refused to leave. The Starly was an angry baby birdy with a broken wing that chose violence, but stuck around. Murkrow kept trying to steal shinies and got caught instead, and Hawlucha got tackled into a hug.
A handful of them were so docile (like Swablu and Wingull, there's a Delibird that kept following her around before it FINALLY let her catch it).
SO MANY BIRDS. SO MANY BIRDS.
Arven looks away for a second, and then "where'd you get that?"
"Which Way" because Scarnoa is eating a sandwich. :V
Quite a few of them are hissy, angy birbs (the Squawkabilly gang) and then there's the one that loaf all the time (her Wattrel and Swablu)
This is just the equivalent of what Penny's Eevee team is to her, since most of them are companions she likes to pet, but they CAN and WILL kikc ass if they're forced to. Especially in emergencies.
Otherwise, Scarnoa's got her Tinkaton, Gholdengo, Shiny Arboliva, and rest as part of her main team.
She likes Larry best, if only because he, too, has birds. :V

Pokémon SV blogging day 3? and 4? I'm losing track
Champion Team:
Bub the skeledirge
Burrell the Arboliva
Shy the Dudunsparce
Peco the Glimmora
Gaga the Espartha
Festive the Flamigo, the undefeate
the worst victory road and E4 presentation I've ever seen. The E4 characters and champ themselves are great, but oh my god like... "welcome to our empty warehouse where we battle for champion status" Also apparently the music was bugged so it just played this lowkey ominous music played the whole time.
Level of challenge wasn't bad, there were a few battles where 4/6 of my guys got wiped out by the time I finished. Definitely not a struggle though. Actually the trainer outside the E4 building gave me more trouble...
Anyway, I spent a little time getting a new team of lil guys ready for the Herba Mystica stuff. Oh, and caught a shiny chewtle by chance! It's bright green so it was easy to spot. Unfortunately it's level 40 so it won't be joining my new team unless I need a swap around that level.
Path of Titans team:
Sage the Sprigatito
Gooby the Greavard
Dozer the Wooper
Stinky the Meowth (flying teratype)
Shimmer the Wattrel
Candy the Rockruff (Fairy teratype!)

so i made three separate teams for the storylines
For the Gym Challenge, we have:
Wermut the Arboliva
Tinc the Grafaiai
Sylvester the Klawf
Sengren the Tinkaton
Mimosa the Farigiraf
Hiratake the Veluza
For the Titans, we have:
Ginseng the Pawmot
Hosta the Flamigo
Triti the Lokix
Lamia the Brambleghast
Utpala the Rabsca
Ajuga the Orthworm
and for Operation Starfall, we have:
Aesculus the Annihilape
Dock the Kilowattrel
Jolokia the Scovillain
Damask the Tauros
Hyacinth the Squawkabilly
Armil the Toedscruel (Electric Tera Type!)
it’s been working well, but the titan team is a little lopsided with regards to a weakness to flying, and i have one (1) fire type among all eighteen of these bitches, but i love them and they are WINNING their respective boss battles
