As this years Tushars 100k is coming up soon, I thought a last minute #tbt back to the first Tushars event way back in 2015 was in order. Alrighty y'all sorry for being so MIA last week. I was on vacation with the family in Tennessee and I had an amazing time but now it's time to get back to work. I gained 3 pounds this past week but those are vacation pounds and that amazing ice cream from Jenni's in Nashville was so worth it, as was the maple cronut from @five_daughters_bakery but as I said time to get back to work. I Should Know Better . Started out again fairly early yesterday with good intentions of grabbing a quick bite and taking it down by the water. Thought I’d sit somewhere quiet and snap a few pics for a piece I’m working on about my bike, then get my butt home to get ready for my next road trip. . Swipe for pics. . All my fav places were either slammed or closed. I biked around to several spots before ending up at @thepropercupcoffeehouse, a new spot for me. Grabbed a cup and a hand pie and soon as I got outside was deep in convo with folks from away asking about my bike. . Noticed one of them was wearing a Rabbit Hash (Kentucky) ball cap, so of course talked about the famous general store there. From there to Cincinnati and back are old stomping grounds. . Wished them good luck on their schooner ride and headed for the water. . I forgot it was Sundays On the Boulevard. I forgot it was even Sunday, to be honest. @cityportland barricades off a long section of Baxter Blvd around Back Cove for walkers, joggers, bikers, and strollers. It’s a really nice thing that happens all summer and folks from all over come to be outdoors for a few hours. . Found a place to sit and snap a few images. Every time I raised my phone though, to take a pic, I ended up in another convo about the bike or with someone sneaking across the frame. Even noticed a guy plein air painting across the way. . It continued like that all way around the Cove. Ran into the engaging promo folks from @polandspringwtr who were giving out free bottle spring water and re-filling folks bike and hiking bottles. . They wanted to try out the bike and snapped a few pics of me for their social media. . I ended up being gone for hours. . Good thing I run my own schedule.
