It's been a while since I've been on here. I can't believe that I'm already halfway through my first semester of senior year. Today I was able to spend time studying for Hebrew and work on some of my art projects. I have a new pole vault coach this year and it's doing wonders for my mental health. I didn't really think that my previous coach was abusive until after I was no longer in that situation. I guess it can be harder to spot emotional and verbal abuse sometimes. I just thought that was how coaching at the collegiate level was done. For once, I am glad to be proven wrong.

...how did we as a species get into pole vaulting do you think?

Like, how did we ever come up with the concept "I'm going to run as fast as I can with this extremely long and flimsy piece of wood, stick it into the ground at the last second, and then use that momentum to essentially launch myself over this pole I've put at roughly 2 story height level." And then someone else said "Amazing! This should be a whole sport!" And not "Wait, let me get the camera for America's Funniest Homevideos...okay go!"
