My problem with Tiger!Juleka (Tigress?) is that she doesn't look like Juleka, but like Marinette in dark makeup.

Especially with that incredibly basic design. Marientte can't have anything visually interesting despite being an established fashion designer. So that basic go for a tiger hero suggests that's Marinette.

There's nothing entirely unique to the look to suggest that's exclusively Juleka. I think the most of one of her wrists having that black on it where the miraculous is, but otherwise, the rest doesn't scream Juleka. Someone did point out that the "stripes" on her are laced but that's not really enough for me. Have more laced sections. Go all out with stripes. have you seen tigers? They don't have simple short "v" going along their body.

AAnd the name is just so... simple. Off the top of my head, having just woke up, here are some names I can think of that would be up Juleka's alley, playing off her love of horror and dark things.

Panterror (panther + terror)

Tigrend (tigre + rend)

Shredder (TMNT reference + shredding on a guitar + cats shred things up)

Tigress Sith (use that confirmed Scottish heritage and use the Cait Sith, the fairy cat, only she's a fairy tiger; could also get a Star Wars reference with Sith I'm sure)

Horrorfrost (hoarfrost + horror, tiger in the east is a symbol of autumn, a season before winter the coldest time of the year)

Uproar (I know its Monkey's power but it makes me think of Tiger; should've done like Gag Gift or Monkey Business or Monkey Wrench instead)

To me, a lot of these sound more interesting than Tigress Pourpre.

Honestly though, Tiger isn't really my pick for Juleka. Especially if all the theories are correct that the power is invisibility. If so, that's going to have this assignment be up there with Mouse Mylene as a power that doesn't fit or help them. Mylene's an incredibly anxious person? Give her a power that shrinks her down and makes everything bigger! Chances are low that she won't stress out! And her getting a kwami that enjoys scaring her and thinking it's funny! Yeah, I'm going to stick to Rabbit Mylene if she gets something from Chinese Zodiac.

And Juleka, Refleckta and Refleckdoll establishes that she wants to be noticed. If the power IS invisibility, her getting a miraculous that makes her invisible doesn't really help her. It kinda validates and confirms she's always going to be invisible. Unable to stand out like she wants.

Zodiac wise, Rooster (her name could be Crow) would be better, symbolism wise it's self-confidence, being heard, and standing out. Could also work with Horse (she could be Knightmare), as this is also a very showy animal that can stand out and have courage to face dangers. Her wanting to be a model could play off her being wanting to be a show pony. And could build confidence in her. I could also see Ox working as well (Moxie is like my universal name that could apply to a good few characters), that's a tough animal that will be heard and understood, but won't have so much attention on them to be overwhelming. And lastly Goat (Bellegoat or Black Sheep), play off Juleka not feeling like she fits in, but could come into her own, learn that she is apart of the herd. Goats are big symbols of ambition so she could find success with her goals if she's driven enough.

And for who could get Tiger instead, my top pick is Alya. Who's actually more color coded for it than even Fox. And to me, its a lot more fitting than her getting Fox.

Alya's colors are orange, white, and purple and she's striped. Actual tigers are orange and white, and the kwami is purple-red. And they all have hazel eyes.

In terms of personality, Alya and the kwami are very similar: very curious and tends to ask a lot of questions and are eager to learn, and their very outspoken and firm in their stances. The tiger in turn is a very dominant and fearsome animal, Tiger can match Alya better in being upfront and direct, much better than Fox could. It can also still teach her subtlety and learn to keep to the shadows as its known to ambush its prey. And if the power is invisibility, Alya needs that more than Juleka. This could help her learn to hide away more and be subtle, but won't discourage her from being engaging.

This also elevates Alya in significance. The Tiger is one of the more iconic animals in Chinese culture, representing yin and is the rival to the Dragon, able to match it in power.

To me, everything about Tiger seems more fitting of Alya than her with Fox, and than Tiger with Juleka.

But that's also just me as most miraculous assignments in this show just baffle me or don't click.

*ૢ✧ ཻུ۪۪Juleka is one of the characters that I most identify with in the series, I loved her design since I saw her and over time she became my favorite, and when I knew that she would receive a miraculous .... I shouted with joy! she is beautiful with a without the suit, she is one of my favorite carriers along with Pigella.
