Thursday Thoughts 4.25
I created this page after being told by someone that I couldn’t move to Detroit without a car.
After living car-free for eight years (NYC, Chicago, Boston, and Traverse City), I decided to share how I do it. I’m not from Detroit, nor am I an expert or a guide. This was created as a look at how I see the world as I navigate the Motor City on foot, bike, or bus.
It’s a page dedicated to walkability, wellness, sustainable living, simplicity, and sharing how I’ve lived for 10 years- wherever I am in the world, I’d be living this same lifestyle.
At the core, I’m an introvert who is passionate about solo exploration, self discovery, and doing what I can to contribute to a healthier world.
You won’t find me going out to eat much (I love creating my own salads and vegan food at home), going to many social gatherings, or partaking in a lot of consumerism- but if you’re down with parks, long walks, farmer’s markets, and active travel, this is for you. 🌸

Inner-standing
Through a deeper loving knowing of who you are, you remember and embrace the inner power of you. The brave you who chooses love in the face of life's challenges.
Love powers up compassion, transforms fear, grounding your heart in the present were you bravely choose to create wondrous possible potentials.
Inner-standing you, moment by moment as you love the messy parts of you while revealing treasures and gifts including courage, compassion and a light of love.
All of your inner work creates a full, rich, lush, loving world within, a world connected to the oneness and the dance of creation. Together in the oneness of love we fly each other home, home to unity choosing wisdom and compassion we connect, we create, we become.

Stop feeding the algorithm
If you hesitate over a POST for just a spilt second longer, the algorithm picks up on that. Then they send you another post just like it.
Let's say a video about jealousy, if you do the same thing again --- hesitate just for a second, even if you eventually click thumbs down, it knows/thinks that's what you secretly want.
The algorithm has one job in mind keeping you engaged not making you a better person.

Anyway I can say with certainty fall is here, and it is so nice! Mornings and nights are crisp, and daytime temps are actually comfortable, yay! 😁
So, last week went and saw Chevelle, and glad to see that they are still rocking hard after all these years. Been following them forever, so if you haven't heard of them, check them out, or send me a message and I'll tell you my favorites! 🤘
Saw another boat race (actually a drag race) and from what was explained to me, is more like a time keeping strategy. Still cool to see how fast those boats can go even if they go over or under their set time.

SPOILER WARNING TBB EPISODES 7&8
Thursday Thoughts: My god...where to even start...
First of all, this show and these characters deserve SO much more than a 20ish minute runtime every week. I feel cheated we can only spend so much time with them, which is not to say that I dislike the show, I love it! I just want MORE lol.
I'm crushed that Echo left. I genuinely thought it would be the entire Batch that joins Rex, so I was definitely surprised when it was just Echo, even if his motivations were 100% logical and reasonable (kudos to the writers here). Not a huge fan that we didn't get to see him talk to The Batch before he left but I'm sure that will come into play later.
I also can't help the feeling that Echo leaving means less screen time, like the writer's vacated Echo to make room for Crosshair, which feels really unfair to Echo. If that's the case, it just sucks because Echo and Rex totally deserve more screen time, even if that means a separate show to tell their stories. I mean, come on, don't give Rex that fine AF outfit and NOT utilize it more 🤣 But I digress!
Overall these episodes were DOPE. 79s, Palps, the new clone assassin, the musical score, world-building, it was all totally epic.
I for sure thought Rex was working with Organa, but given how Bail interacted with Chuchi, I'm not so sure anymore. I'm curious now who he communicated with last season after the Batch removed their chips. I don't think it was Ahsoka unless they retconned her Novel, where she didn't join with Bail until after the first Empire Day. I don't think TBB is that far into the Imperial Era. I could be wrong though!
Anyway, I'm very excited for the rest of the season and to spend more time with the clones!

Thursday, December 28, 2023
At 10 PM, I found myself in my sister's room, engaging in a casual conversation. Suddenly, our peaceful moment was shattered by our mother's frantic search for the emergency phone. She urgently informed us about a nearby crisis unfolding. As medical professionals, me and my sibling immediately felt the weight of our duty to assist and save others, even in situations that exceeded our professional obligations.
The incident involved two groups of teenagers engrossed in a fervent argument, which tragically escalated to a stabbing. Swiftly, we rushed the injured individual to the emergency room, fully realizing in that moment why our parents had consistently warned us as children to avoid being out late or staying outside. The world beyond our walls could be a treacherous place, inhabited by individuals who were both unpredictable and impulsive.
