i appreciate angst and writing characters actually working out their problems but the implications any of the trios dislike each other genuinely makes me mad 💀

Okay so our system is doing fusion fuckery games and Ill likely elaborate later, but to keep things short for now, we've been in a general fused state that we are tentatively calling Fei and we spent the drive to work thinking / talking about it and we were considering holding it out during work and give it a test run

But when we got out of the car we realized we didnt bring our earbuds - which for those that dont know serve both as enrichment at work, a crucial tool in voluntary switches, and a safety net for auditory overload - and despite being a decently fused mind internally we heard a Shit or Fuck in each of our voices (at least Riku, XIV, Chunn, Lin) independently followed up by classic Riku voice going "Welp I guess we get to enjoy being Fei for a while"

He looks surprised at the comment, blinking once to reel himself back in from the ocean waves and towards reality, turning to look towards Riku. He smiles somewhat sheepishly at him as the question sets in, a hand reaching towards the back of his neck. Staring off into space wasn't all that uncommon for Sora, but what was unusual was the troubled expression that had rested on his face while he was. He hadn't done it consciously, hence the surprise upon being called out. It's.. complicated. They've only had a short respite since their exams, and he'd really rather spend it celebrating Riku's new title of Master; not staring at the ocean with a lingering sense of dread, sorry for himself and spoiling their break. Riku definitely deserved it after what they'd been through. His remaining arm goes to join the other behind his head, turning the previous awkward motion into the more carefree stance that was standard for him, leaning into the star fruit tree like he'd done since he was younger.

"Huh? Oh - I'm all good. Just thinking. Things should be easier since you're a master and all now, right? Looks like you're picking up the slack for me again! I'll catch up before you know it, though. After we get rid of the organization again, for real this time, I'll retake it, and we can be on the same level!"

Every time people start saying stuff like “You can’t ship non-canon ships” I just want to scream at the top of my lungs about how fanfiction exists to allow people to put their favorite characters in different scenarios.

They really shouldnt have tried to force setsuna and towa being older than moroha

but also imo… the twins still kinda fall short in development… and Moroha is still way more entertaining to watch than those two………

The last episode also highkey shows how much they dont understand their characters. I seriously don’t think Sessomaru would concoct a 14year plan to help his kids grow up and this was all just tough love, and honestly they should have gone in to more detail to flesh out his reasons for basically putting everyone he cared about in cages.

It would have been great to be able to compare his parenting against Kirinmaru’s, as they were BOTH overprotective. It’s just a really big waste of opportunity to not dive into more of his decisions >:0

Also the fact that Inuyasha and Kagome were conveniently hidden because they were too OP is funny, but also ehhh they couldn’t have thought of anything else for them?? ehhhh?

43. Falling asleep with their head in your lap - From Riku to Kairi ♡

Kairi's gaze fell upon Riku, her dear friend and fellow keyblade master. She couldn't help but notice the weight that burdened his eyes, a heaviness that spoke volumes of the countless nights he had spent in restless thought. Even in the absence of his words, she could see the unmistakable link to Riku's restless nights connected to Sora's disappearance.

As she turned, she observed Riku's gaze fixed upon the book he was engrossed in. However, despite his apparent concentration, she noticed a slight drooping of his eyelids, as if he were on the verge of succumbing to exhaustion. With a graceful motion, the redhead concluded her own reading, delicately closing the book. She then proceeded to extend her hand towards his book, gently closing it as well. Taking a brief pause, she carefully positioned it on the desk before tenderly guiding his head to find solace on her lap.

Initially, there was a hint of protest in his demeanor, but Kairi swiftly directed her gaze towards him, emanating her characteristic blend of genuine concern and resolute determination. He wasn't going to convince her to drop this or simply let him destroy his own health.

"Riku, it is important that you rest. While I may lack the same level of expertise as you and the others, where it concerns wielding a keyblade, I can see when a person I hold dear is dealing with a lot. To be honest, since that day, you haven't been able to sleep. There''s too much being tossed at you..."

With closed eyes, the princess drew in a deep breath, preparing herself to serenade with a tender lullaby. It was a melody that she had frequently sung during their shared childhood. In retrospect, the earlier days appeared quite simple, a time when the concept of alternate worlds and mysterious entities known as heartless and keyblades remained unknown to them.

Despite the passing of time, Kairi kept carrying the weight of self-blame for the events that happened since that fateful day. However, in this particular moment, her focus shifted towards the pressing needs of Riku, who required her support more than ever. It was not the appropriate time to ruminate on such emotions, especially after he had done so much for others.

With a delicate touch, her fingers glided through his lustrous silver locks, while her blue eyes remained fixed upon his figure. The man's eyes appeared to be shut, although she harbored doubts about his complete slumber.He shared her concerns deeply, displaying his trademark determination to bring Sora back, even at the expense of his own personal safety.

"My Dearly Beloved Be strong, I shall be there Always here beside you So, keep your head held high The shadows of this world Will try to steal you away into their arms But you belong in mine..."

Kairi harbored a multitude of sentiments she longed to express to Riku, yet the limitations of time continually hampered the expression of such significant thoughts. She sought to extend an heartfelt apology for the unintended emotional impact she had caused him in the past. Naturally, he would likely refute these claims, yet the princess of heart remained cleverly observant. Without any prior warning, she ended up on the islands, swiftly forging a close bond with both Sora and Riku. The two frequently competed for the affection and attention of the red-haired girl. She believed it was merely an example of typical male behavior, but it was during the period before the attack on the island when she noticed a change in Riku.

The darkness that had quietly infiltrated his heart, and the burdens he had been forced to carry since a young age. Those thoughts vanished, though, as a soft smile graced her face. Looking down, she could hear the soft sound of breathing, not that he had fully fallen asleep, but it seemed like he had given up trying to resist her on this matter.

Yet, the longer he gazed at Riku's face, the more he could see how tired his friend was. He found himself not wanting to spar anymore, but instead...just sit with him. With a small breath, Sora released the other's arm and plopped down next to him on the sand. He laid back, folding his hands behind his head as a happy grin crossed his face.

"Well, guess you can't call me a lazy bones this time." He teased, having no bite to his words. "Don't be upset if I fall asleep, okay?"

The small smile that had worked it's way onto his face is increasingly obvious to him now. A hand raises to cover it from embarrassment, eyes shifting towards the ground and to the side. It's just nice to see Sora taking it so easy, unburdened by the struggles they had first faced. Maybe it's a lofty request, but.. he hopes things can stay like this.

"Just thinking. It's good we don't have to fight anymore, isn't it? There's not anymore bugs to keep the data safe from - at least, I can't sense any - so.. things should stay calm for a while."
