You know, another thing that shows that 'Lies of P' is in someway the opposite of the original fairytale?
Pinocchio doesn't follow his fathers words at the beginning of the book. In the end he does and gets rewarded with humanity.
P follows his fathers words at the beginning. At the end if you decide not to follow anymore, he gets rewarded with humanity while if you follow...
You die and the reason why you die, stays in some way a puppet too.

Thinking about the fact that Ninjago ran for 11 fucking years and the thing that surprised me the most when finding out was people actually liking lavashipping?? bc of how little content about it I found as a younger little shit.
Yeah, I know I'm gonna start reminiscing on a show so integral to my childhood with the realization that I'm heading off to university soon— how I dropped off of that show earlier than I would've liked due to things happening in life— how much I projected onto Kai and *why* I liked Cole so much—
but also I'm thinking about how fucking funny it is that 9-year-old-me's ship somewhat picked up in relevancy like-- you go little man!

That moment where you have to pull your real life studies into a convo about why this makes you nervous as someone who is looking at it as an outsider:
Because here’s the thing I almost never talk about. The thing I want to do with my college degree hopefully at some point is take my knowledge and apply it to making scenarios safer in case of a disaster of some kind any kind. Enforcing buildings, better infrastructure, you get the idea.
So I see this and I just see so many things that could go wrong from my perspective than probably an average person will. As an outsider admittedly. Because again what I want to do with my life.
I probably see things some people don’t.
And the whole idea of it’s been okay before makes me nervous because for multiple reasons that could turn people like myself away when it’s needed

Thoughts again: Caitvi
TW: talking about trauma.
I love Arcane, but can't denay the fact that series oversimplifying some things to keep story coherent. One of those things, on my opinion, being Vi relationships with Caitlyn and topsiders in general.
Series itself seems to forget that Vi was in prison for 7-8 years and beaten (as hinted at by the prison guard to whom Cait came). In this point, Vi probably has strong trigger towards enforces and topsiders in general (remember, all of this started 'cus of Vi's feeling of injustice). And no, even the fact that Cait acts nice towards her doesn't change that. Traumatic experience doesn't accept compromises, but instead push away anything that can cause it again even after long time of work to overcome trauma.
But on other way, I really love idea of Vi in painful compromise with herself on try to save the very last thing she care about - her sister. Just, again, on my opinion, it's not sufficiently disclosed and simplified for sace of screen time and coherency.

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space* at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.
so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.
*yes sorry i mean usage i posted this before bed :( i do not mean the hard drive is full aaaaghhhh

when i say i wish people started using the reblog button more i don't mean it in a 'i want more notes' kind of way i mean it in a 'i want to read about your thoughts on this particular thing' and 'i want to have conversations in the tags' and 'i want this to feel like a community again and not like any of those boring social media platforms where artists are content creators and interactions never goes beyond a like'

Well... I feel like talking about P's body sometime. Like... How differently he is compared to other puppets. I mean, we have puppets who take over 'human' duties and jobs. They were to look certainly human, but not enough to make you think 'this is puppet... Or?".

calling my lover "mine" but not in the way that my toothbrush or notebook are mine, mine in the way my neighborhood is mine, and also everybody else's, "mine" like mine to tend to, mine to care for, mine to love. "mine" not like possession but devotion.

Mystra showed him the secrets beneath the veils. The gossamer veils first, draped across the Weave. The delicate veils next, draped across her body. 'Chosen One' she whispered, as she slipped them off completely.
poor gale :'(
- the dialogue is from ea gale's explanation about his folly
- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!
- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)
- (edit: deleted this point bcs it didn't really make sense + detracted from the art a little;;)
