Those who wish me dead for #moviemonday Angelina Jolie is a fire jumper dealing with tragedy. Finn Little is the kid of a father who's just gone on the run with him to escape assassins. Assassins set the forest on fire. All of the above is in the trailer, so hopefully that didn't spoil anyone... The premise is good, it starts off interesting, and there's assassins which is always fun for me, then it sort of unhinges towards the end. And now there might be spoilers... Unless I missed it entirely, the secrets/reasons for the father & son running is never revealed which just feels like a waste of an hour and 40 minutes. It might be in the book 🤔 Angelina's character is clearly dealing with a trauma that is just magically healed because someone played the "my trauma is worse than your trauma" game?? 🙄🤦 Oh and don't go into a field with animals you don't know just because you think the animal is friendly! Went to watch a movie about forest fires as a forest fire raged north of where I live. The movie was pretty good- over produced but I liked the story. It’s based on a book- I wish there was a little more exposition & some more character development. As for the fire- it’s a shame so many are affected. I hope for rain in the next few days to put it out. It sucks that it’s engulfing so many things.
