So to be honest, this isn't very high on the list of Scott McCall Fandom War Crimes to me, because it's not wrong necessarily? But it's really important to look at it in context.
This is an MTV show, aimed at teens and young adults, about teenagers in high school.
Teenagers, especially teenage boys in a competitive sport, tend to get hyper-competitive.
Off the top of my head, there ARE a few instances of what anon calls ~dick measuring contests~ and I'd be happy to discuss them more in-depth when I'm not on my way to work, but the thing I want to point out before anything is that AA always seems to imply by wording or otherwise that like....Scott's at fault for these. Maybe it's just me, but the phrasing has always come off like Jackson (or whoever) is the passive victim of Scott's RAGING need to one-up everyone around him.
But anyways, if anyone could remind me of episodes/exact scenes that'd be super
S1x01? I think? When Coach puts Scott in goal and he does great. He's not doing it with the active intent of riling up Jackson, but Jackson, iirc, cuts the line in what's supposed to be just a practice/warm-up to try and Get Scott. I'd call that a dick measuring started by Jackson. He's so rankled by this kid one-upping him that he takes it personal and makes it his mission to show him his place, if you will. This also has the unintended consequence of putting Scott in Jackson's sights, which snowballs into Jackson trying to get Scott to get him the bite
I would also consider the infamous 'Where are you getting your juice?' scene to be some form of posturing/jealousy, but again, that's JACKSON instigating it. He's literally so BESIDE himself that a sophomore could POSSIBLY be better than him that he has to corner Scott and pressure him into telling him where he's getting his edge. It's not coming from Jackson being self-righteous or like....believing in justice. He wants that edge for himself, it's entirely selfish. This one's a little more of a reach tho.
The scene where Jackson tells the team to not pass to Scott, and Scott overhears I would probably mark down at least a little? Because Scott /does/ take it personally and he does make it a point to push himself to do better to score, but I'd also put that as a reactionary move instead of like...instigating it. Jackson puts it into motion, and Scott /could/ have let it go, but also like. This is a show about teenagers. I don't fault him for behaving like one.
Dick measuring/insecurity/jealousy in? s4 when Liam shows up I would definitely count against Scott. He gets caught up in it the same way I assume Jackson did in s1 -- how is this newbie showing me up like this -- but that's such a cornerstone of sports/team/teen show dramas that again, it's expected. Scott started it.
One that isn't ever really mentioned but I feel is along the same vein of dick-measuring/posturing: Erica's scene in the rock candy lab vs Allison, and the continuation/confrontation where Erica says she's always wanted to steal someone's boyfriend. That's definitely what I would consider dick-measuring. Emotionally, but, y'know. Same vibe.
These are just a few examples, there's a ton more I'm sure of it, but the point I'm trying to make is that it's expected (to me) from a teen show. If a show didn't have any of this, I'd consider it to be very OOC, because this is how they build up drama between teenagers. Also, it's a pretty common trope in drama shows regardless, so I don't see why it's so egregious for some people in the fandom.
I mean I know why, but as a trope it's pretty run of the mill. I'll try and think of some more examples maybe? But it's a pretty common thread, 2/10 will watch grudgingly.

Stan twitter (I'll call it stan twitter but they're on other platforms too, especially Tiktok) is full of sociopaths and I'm not exaggerating. Those people are mentally unwell. We all have mental issues but they're beyond help, are so out of touch with the world, are so angry and insecure and have victim complexes. They hate anyone who is popular. They turned on Harry when he beat Taylor Swift's vinyl record for most albums sold. They hate him because he is a threat to their faves and are desperately trying to cancel him. All of this hate started when he started breaking music records. They did the same with Olivia Rodrigo (they turned on her). Ed Sheeran. Justin Bieber. With Olivia Rodrigo they were struggling to come up with reasons to cancel her so they started painting her as a racist and using photoshop to fake tweets she made. Nicki Minaj stans are one of the worst, along with Kayne fans and pop girl stans like Swifties. Nicki fans have been harassing the woman who spoke up about Nicki's husband sexually assaulting her. They're just awful.
Hi anon as someone who has been on most major SM apps besides IG I can say yeah people are toxic and hypocritical. I wouldn't go as far as saying their mental don't feel like that's something we should call others but yes I do understand why you are at such a high level of anger towards twitter and tiktok users.
There's the regular non fan accs who hate Harry based on misinformation and shit that's just not true and those are the people that for no reason hate Harry and want any excuse to justify their hate even tho he is probably one of the better celebs to like. These are also the people who don't get fandom culture and have made fun of those in fandom culture since the 2000s. Just bc you don't understand how a singer, youtuber ect. can make someone's life better doesn't mean you need to shit on those who get it and the people they like.
There's the hypocritical ones are those who act like that hating Harry for ??? reasons but ARE fan accs and for people like K**ye, Blondie and N*kki who have proven time and time again they are not even remotely close to a good person so why tf are talking about Harry and his fans? Also I noticed they all have the same thing in common with the notion of always being the victim and never the problem. N*kki as you mentioned bullies actual victims.
And there's the Harry fans who clearly just like Harry bc they feel they need to and or have a following in his fandom so they don't want to leave it even tho they dont give af about him fans are just as bad. These are the ones who care more about being "fandom famous" than actually caring for the artist they stan. They just stan whoever is hot in the moment and probably change their stan list often.
I see this often with OT4/5 stans who say they stan Harry but any chance they get they will throw Harry under the bus to help uplift other members usually Liam or Zayn. Also what you said happens a lot people claim to stan Harry but then get mad when he beats records other singers they stan held. If you actually liked Harry you would be happy for him. If you're mad he "beat you're other fav" clearly the other is the only one you actually like.

Hmm it shifts a lot, but some that I always come back to are some of my old OCs! Mostly these three idiots (affectionate):
Desertblaze and Sam, or my avatar OC Dawn (she's the one on my main's pfp lol). Des especially is my biggest comfort character, she's one of my oldest OCs and an absolute sunshine with trauma and drawing her always cheers me up :)

I draw most days, even if it's just quick scribbles. In school I was costantly doodling in class (and probably will again once Uni starts haha), and when I've got a lot of free time I just kinda do the same thin tbh x'D Since I've left or gone inactive in the RPG groups I was in I do a lot less polished/finished/rendered art though.

NAME: William Matthew Liam Granger
AGE: 26
OCCUPATION: Bouncing around minimum wage jobs / Freelance Photographer.
BIRTHDAY: September 20th, 1994 (Virgo)
HOMETOWN: Phoenix, Arizona.
FACECLAIM: Jacob Elordi
BACKGROUND:
William Matthew Granger was born on September 20th,1994 in Phoenix, Arizona. The middle child of the Granger clan, and quite possibly the most reckless one out of the bunch.
He was named after his father, and therefore, hates every part of it. He also doesn’t feel like a William, as it feels too formal for his liking. Therefore, he goes by Liam on everything. Also hardly, if ever, will respond to William; will absolutely never answer to the nickname Will or Bill either.
Their father left when they were all fairly young, he was about 6 years old at the time, and can’t quite remember the man. However, this doesn’t cease he’s hatred for said man. In fact, Liam isn’t much of a fan to either parent. As he feels that they both left their children to fend for themselves. When his mother passed, he seemed rather unphrased by it. Rather that was true or not, is up for debate. This would be the part most would come to realize that he isn’t exactly the most forgiving man.
Growing up, he’s always been fairly rebellious and outgoing. He enjoyed being different and not living by anyone’s rules. Which would cause fiction at home.
He enjoys art, he’s an incredible artist, can absolutely draw and paint, yet so few actually know that about him. He doesn’t tend to share that part of him with just anyone. What he is willing to share with others, however, is his photography skills. To ask him how he came into such a hobby, he wouldn’t really be able to give a straight answer. One day he simply picked up a camera, and he truly just never put it back down.
When he’s not making money off of those particular skills, he is usually found jumping from dead end job to dead end job. Anything that gives him an extra, more stable, income until he gets frustrated or annoyed with it, and just quits the job on the spot. Hes also made money off of testing his luck, in such things as gambling and drag racing.
Liam is very much for anything that makes him feel as though he’s alive. He enjoys living the fast life more often then not, and this has led him to some bad habits. He enjoys partying, and hasn’t quite grown out of that phrase yet. Rules, also, aren’t something he cares to follow often, especially because he feels as though rules are meant to be broken.
While a seemly careless and reckless soul, he’s actually not completely that. He does love hard, and despite most times budding heads with his siblings, he does love them. He also adores the hell out of his nephew, and even tho, Chloe can find herself worrying about that from time to time; in the end, he’d do anything for that little boy.
When most look at him, they do see a boy with no path in life, who’s gonna end up washed out. But the truth is he’s actually quite smart, when he applies himself, and he has dreams of being a big time photographer.
He is currently struggling with his sexuality, and may just be the one thing he’s not the most confident about in life. He hasn’t completely figured out how to deal with that part of him, but he has started to realize that he is attracted to men as well. Therefore, realizing that he may be bisexual. He finds himself quite uncomfortable with that, as he’s just not all that sure how accepting those around him would be to such a thing.
While a man who seems incredibly forthcoming with things, confident in the way he moves, and uncaring about others opinions; there are little things about him that is quite telling that he’s not exactly 100% those things. His sexuality, and his art being two of those things. They are extremely personal to him, and he doesn’t go out of his way to share either of those thing.
He is a chaotic soul. not necessarily in a bad way, however.

WANTED CONNECTIONS:
FRIENDS: While he’s quite out there, he’s absolutely a pretty nice guy over all. He’s not hard to get along with, as long as he doesn’t feel as though you’ve attacked him in some way. This could be long time friends, this could be party friends, honestly the list of any kind of friends is quite long and possible.
ENEMIES/I DON’T REALLY LIKE YOU: Despite being an pretty easy guy to get along with, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t bumps head in the past. This could also be a number of things as well, to be honest. They could’ve fought at a party, Liam could’ve quite honestly slept with their S/O. etc.
EXES/FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS/HOOK UPS (F/M/NB): Liam doesn’t have a very long list of exes, as he’s not too into the exclusive thing. so this could honestly be anything from a very short relationship, to a simple arrangement that ended on ok terms, or on bad terms. Could also just still be an ongoing thing as well. He is very much into having fun. (He would have way way way more female FWBS/hook ups over male ones.)
A HIGHSCHOOL SWEETHEART (F): He had, at least, semi serious relationship with someone back in high school, this could’ve been a long thing, it could’ve been a short thing. But either way, this didn’t end well. Mainly because he wasn’t even close to the all American teenage boy that a parent would want their daughter to bring home. So, either she ended it when he was actually falling for her/did fall for her. Or he made a stupid choice and cheated, or something that ended it. Either way, hearts were most definitely broken here.
THE BOY THAT GOT HIM QUESTIONING: In my head, for some reason, this was a really good friend of his, if not his best friend. They probably aren’t in contact anymore, as this would’ve been the first time it started clicking for Liam. And that would’ve caused him to pull away, completely.
CLIENTS: Anyone who would’ve or do need photographs taken.
FORMER COWORKERS: The boy’s had a lot of job, that he seriously just bounced from. So, this could’ve been how they met.

WRITING MEMORIES
5.) The entire time I spent finishing my first (second?) longer writing project
It was the year 2012 and it was a cyberpunk story about my friends’ and my edgy self inserts riding dinosaurs, fighting aliens and being badass. The plot twist in the end was that my character was secretly evil and wanted to kill everyone. (Things to show your therapist) The final boss fight made zero sense and also everything was incredibly weird and stupid. But sometimes I still think about those times when I sat in my grandma’s living room at night, eating chips and listening to Vocaloid covers while thinking this story was the coolest shit ever. Truly simpler times.
4.) Researching something about universities in Texas for OvF on a rainy Saturday afternoon
I have no idea why this memory is still sticking with me to this day (I think it was around 2016 or something?), but I remember that it was just a really nice day and I felt really at peace at that moment?
3.) The entire writing process of Bathroom Blues
It was such a spontaneous project and I still have no idea how I managed to power though it in just a little under two months! Also it was just incredibly fun seeing you getting excited over new drafts and I loved coming up with new plot points and Halloween costumes for everyone with you. :-D Truly a summer worth remembering.
2.) FINALLY uploading the prologue and intro chapter of WWBL
Not really a writing memory, but that moment was … so sexy and magical. Seriously, you have no idea how long I had been waiting to finally start that story, waiting for the Steckbriefe to roll in and see people react to the prologue and generally the idea … I even made one of those countdown graphic thingies for the designated upload date! 8D At that point I had planned that story for about six months and just … yeah, that felt powerful to me.
1.) Writing the prologue for WWBL
When I first started the draft for that prologue I was sitting at the window in my favourite hotel in Winterberg, Sauerland, wore my dark green flannel, had the window wide open breathing in the cool mountain air and allowed myself to listen to my WWBL playlist for the very first time. God, that felt so amazing. I even have a photo of it (which somehow makes it look like I have the biggest football shoulders in the universe) my sister took that night. God I miss Sauerland. )’:

Starting off with some weird shit, won’t we? I’ve been in love with this song since fifth or sixth grade, when I was just starting to develop an actual music taste and although I have many favourite songs by E Nomine, this one has to be my absolute fave. Every time I can relate it to a character it makes me love said character even more. (Also I think about it every time my mom forces me to go to church for Christmas so … yay? I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t even be able to remember the Vater Unser if it wasn’t for this song. 8D)

I think this is the newest all-time fave on this list, I found it in … 2015? Thank you, Youtube AMVs. Yeah man, this one is just … on so many playlists it’s not even funny anymore.

An edgelord classic but like … it’s on EVERY playlist of mine. Every single one. It’s just so good. The first time I heard it was on the radio tho, when I was having breakfast with Jessie and I forced her to shazam it because it immediately stuck with me,,,

My first Evanescence song ever and the first step towards becoming who I am today I think. This song has like … such a big history for me, man. It single-handedly turned me goth in 2008 and I have never really thanked it for that.

Might be my favourite song of all time. The number of dramatic RP scenes I have written with this in the background … man. Oh, also this song is the reason for one of my oldest internet nicknames, ‘eternala’, which subsequently shortened into Etschuh and then Tschuh, my main nickname until 2017, when I came out as trans and finally found an actual name for myself I was comfortable with!

I know this was probably supposed to be about fandom characters but I can literally not come up with a single character right now that I love with a special burning passion and that is not my or one of my friends’ OCs so you’re getting OCs now. u_u And boy do I have a lot of those.
5.) Jackson Tracey from atroCITY (mine)
This little piece of shit kept me company for a pretty long time and is still very close to my heart for some reason, although I haven’t drawn him or really thought about him in detail for a while now. My favourite thing is how I only realized what a horrible person he was after I stopped regularly working with him but honestly good for me. 8D His storyline and personality is kinda convoluted and tbh I’m not really sure how much of it is canon anyway (atrc was always a little weird about canon rip) but yeah. He’s an obsessive stalker piece of shit who pities himself way too much and he is also a semi-immortal demigod who likes knives. I hate him but he also helped me a lot with some gender and sexuality stuff so thanks I guess.
4.) Mayoko Imai from Century Riders DXPrototype (Maus’ and mine)
Mayoko is a magical girl protagonist with a cool cyborg arm prosthetic and her main character trait was that she was basically a reverse weeaboo, a Japanese girl who was obsessed with American media, culture and comic book heroes! I actually love her concept a lot and she also had a pretty cool character arc in her story (which Maus and I wrote together and actually finished btw!), although it could use a lot more … polishing from today’s point of view. But I love her anyway. She always wanted to do the right thing and be a hero and got broken pretty cruelly and her ending is kinda bittersweet I guess? Ahh there’s just so much nuance to it … anyways, CR3 also stuck with me for a very long time and I enjoyed the time with her a lot. :3 (Her name had a cameo in Another Incident btw heehee)
3.) Tessa *insert extremely long chain of unnecessary first names here* von Lean from Nobody Is Perfect and Infernal Temptation (belongs to one of my old school friends)
Tessa is just … a hand full. I love to hate her. She is badly written and developed and just OOZES mentally ill teenage girl’s idealized self-insert power fantasy, but she just … man, she was a big part of one of my most drama-filled high school friendships which I love looking back at so much. Tessa has fucked so many of my characters … good for her tbh! There are actually two versions of her, one is just a ‘normal’ teenage girl and one can shapeshift into a cheetah, but both of them are very close to my heart. I should really adopt and redesign her some day.
2.) Judy Khayat from Original vs. Final (mine)
Look, I love all my OvF-characters and every single one of them is special to me in their own way, but Judy is just … the most complex of them all I think? Man, she went through so much … she is actually one of my oldest (semi)-active characters (I created her in 2009) and her latest version is from 2016 but I should really, REALLY revise her again tbh. She has a very complicated backstory that I didn’t handle as carefully as I should have, and anger issues and religious conflict and depression and PTSD and then Vance of all people becomes obsessed with her for no reason and decides to traumatize her even more … yeah. God I really love her but I seriously need to work on her. A LOT. I should also finally rename her tbh … let’s just see where she takes me next.
1.) Okami (I don’t even remember if she has a proper last name rn lol) from Split Realm (mine)
Yeah, that bitch is just my favourite OC. She’s also very old, probably from around 2009, and initially was a magical girl with fire powers who I played in an RP with my friend Flauch but boy did she grow up! Holy fuck. Okami is a horrible person but I love her so much. She is so violent and full of anger and pain and sadness and treats everyone around her like shit and she is in love and she is a demon but also apparently the personification of the concept of Chaos but she just wants to be a teenager again and run away with the love of her life and ahhh it’s all so hopeless for her … also she turned out gnc af with time passing and pretty much went through a gender/sexuality crisis in real time with me, her creator, which is always fun. :^D I haven’t drawn her in a while tbh. Should really do that.

Look. I know I’m boring and stupid. But I just love Tave and Liam having their disgusting little foreshadowing talk, okay? I can read it over and over. I just love my horrible little shit crime boys. Also Rhy and Phillip are there. (’:

This one is here because it was the first arc I witnessed in real time which gives it a very special place in my heart and it also … hit pretty hard at the time. But having read Fehu it’s become even better now! It’s just such a wonderful, tragic romance between two horrible, ruthless boys and I … I’m not immune to Rhy, sadly. :-/ Just like Phillip.
3.) Wunjo
We still haven’t seen everything that leads up to Wunjo yet, but we DO know more than we did initially (wow shocker) and it’s just always a fucking blast. Also, it has the first mention of Ash’s real name … the first Rhy POV (which what the fuck!! I always feel like we had one before but we didn’t!! Wild) and it has crazy blood-soaked murder Tave, my beloved. :///3
2.) Eiwaz
You guys have heard me fanboy about Eiwaz so many times already. Eiwaz-OT3 (and Kain) my beloved!!! It’s just SUCH an amazing starting point and there are so, so many things that tie back to it and every time we find out about a new one my heart makes a little jump … und es beginnt von Neuem indeed.
1.) Gebo
One of the most painful but also the most beautiful arcs yet in my opinion. It’s been hyped up for so long and boy did it deliver. God, my heart still hurts when I think about that last scene. Also all the dialogue … the golden lines we got … and it’s an arc without Rhy! Crazy!! :-D I just love the relationship between Ash, Astrid and Jakob so much. God fuck I want what they have. Just maybe without the murder suicide,,,

One of the first things from a certain baking book I tried when I was getting into baking back in 2019. God they are so tasty. I don’t make them often so I don’t get used to them too much and eating them still feels special but ahhhh I love them so much!
3.) Grünkohl mit Kartoffelbrei und Mettendchen
One of my favourite things about autumn/winter and one of my biggest comfort foods. God I love this shit so much. I just put … mountains of Grünkohl and Kartoffelbrei on my plate every time and I will just warm it up for four days straight until there’s no more left. It turns me into a fucking caveman. I’m not even big on eating meat but … yeah. Everything is different when there’s Grünkohl.

I ALMOST CARE : PART 1
LOUIS
"Las Vegas?"
My eyebrows raised but I chuckled lightly, shaking my head. My friends had talked about a trip for the summer but going to Nevada wasn't something I would have expected. It's not that I was not a fan of the states, it's more that I was not a fan of gambling.
"Been there, done that, mate." I added as my friend sat next to me.
I shook my head with a smile, bringing my phone closer to my face as my smile turned into a smirk. I started typing an answer to the girl I was currently seeing and moved my upper body back slightly when my friend tried to read over my shoulder.
"Liam, man, back off."
It was not deep and real love but it was nice and I was really starting to like her. I never really had luck with girls and it always seemed to end in a very bad way. I didn't know if this story was going to be like the others but I had hope, which was, perhaps, the most dangerous thing to have when it comes to feelings.
Liam moved away with a chuckle and I knew he was going to make a comment about how dirty I could be sometimes but he quickly got up and I glanced at him, noticing his girlfriend had arrived. She moved on her tiptoes and he wrapped his arms around her waist as she moved hers around his neck. He pulled her up just before they kissed and It made me groan.
"Go away with your sweet love, i'm nauseous now."
"Hello to you too, Louis."
Julie let out with a short laugh, getting back on her feet and sending me an amused smile. I put my attention back on my phone, smiling too.
"Wow, it only took you 10 seconds to notice I was there?" I let out sarcastically but jokingly. "I thought when Liam was around, you couldn't see anything else?"
"Mm, someone needs some." she let out.
From the corner of my eyes, I could see her smile turn into a smirk and mine did the same.
"I've got plenty, thank you." I replied quickly. "But you two should get a room."
They both laughed and sat down, chatting together for a few minutes until I felt Liam hit my arm, making me sigh louder than needed. I put my phone away and with a quick head movement, I moved my hair away from my eyes and turned to him.
"What?"
"Did Liam tell you about Vegas?"
Julie seemed excited and it made me smile fondly. They were probably both excited to go together as a couple and for a few seconds, I thought about inviting my somewhat-girlfriend too but quickly changed my mind.
"Yea but I don't think I'll go with you guys." I explained, leaning against my seat and grabbing my cup of coffee to take a sip. I grimaced at how cold it was. "I don't really like gambling."
"But you like getting drunk and partying." Julie argued, raising her eyebrows and making me shrug. "Perfect place for that."
"I can also do that in my living room or my local bar, what's your point?" I asked, raising one of my shoulders.
She grimaced and shook her head lightly, moving closer to me. I could notice Liam holding her fingers as he ate what was left of his breakfast. Who convinced me to be here this morning exactly? Waking up too early never started a day nicely, at least none of mine.
"Come on, Louis!" she whined, letting her head fall back on her shoulders dramatically. "It'll be fun! There will be a bunch of us, we'll rent a few rooms and party all weekend!"
I rolled my eyes an sighed again, letting my mouth make a weird annoyed noise at her useless arguments. I really didn't want to go, I just wanted to lay in bed with my girl and have sex for two days straight.
"I'm just getting time off, Jules." I stated, running my fingertips on the table. "I want to do nothing at all. The plane, the people, the noise... I don't know."
Silence took place between us but I knew she hadn't given up yet, she was just running short of ways to convince me but I knew she was clearly going to try again. I got up, my chair making an annoying sound as it scraped against the floor. I grabbed my wallet in my back pocket and left a bill, slipping my hand in my hair before clearing my throat.
"Look, I'll think about it, okay?" I promised as my phone beeped, telling me I had a new text message. "But don't get your hopes up."
I sent my best friends a sorry smile and bent down to kiss Julie's cheek before grabbing Liam's hand in mine and bringing my body closer to his and quickly moving away.
"Bye man, I'll text you."
As I stepped foot out of the restaurant, I took my phone out and put my hand near it to hide it from the sun and be able to read what my girlfriend had written. It turned out to be the four ugliest words ever put together in a sentence.
'We need to talk.'

I blinked a few times, staring at the girl I actually almost called my girlfriend and ended up shaking my head to get back to my senses but also to get rid of what could potentially feel like some sort of pain. It was not sharp or anything, just a bit baffling, but it didn't last and I finally just sighed.
"Wow, that's great." I let out sarcastically as I watched her sit down on her couch.
She rubbed both her hands on her face, forgetting she had make up on, and a small black trace of high-liner appeared near her eyes.
"Look, i'm sorry, Louis."
I stared at her again but my expression turned into a frown.
"I really thought you knew this was just for fun."
Oh I knew, because it was pretty much my main reason to be with her too. I guess my ego was just having a rough moment. Perhaps I was used to girls liking me more than I like them and this time was clearly different. So some girl I was seeing is not really into me? Who cares? I've done worse to better people.
"That was fun and now it isn't." I pointed out, reaching in my back pocket for my phone. "It's not like we were gonna get married or anything."
"Exactly, and it was getting too serious, I'm not into these relationships thing, I just don't do them."
I scoffed but not because I didn't believe her. It amused me simply because if she really knew me, she'd be totally aware that I didn't do relationships either. But I guess no one really knows me and it's better this way.
"Yea I get that." I replied, sliding my finger on my phone to see my notifications pop. "I'll see you around. Or not."
I glanced up at her and turned around to walk through the door. I had barely step foot in her place when she told me we should stop seeing each other and now that I was back outside, I felt suddenly relieved. There was most likely an other girl I could find that would be a fun time and I scrolled through my contact to find one right before I got a new text message. I reached my car and sat behind the wheel before rolling my eyes at Liam's begging.
'Please, come to Vegas, or Julie will spend the whole trip talking about it.'
I chuckled at his bad attempt to convince me and just shrugged.
'Count me in .'
After hitting send, I threw my phone on the backseat and drove off. The ride home was quick and when I parked, I noticed my sister's car was still there. I almost forgot my phone on the backseat but finally grabbed it and rushed up the stairs. I opened the door, not having to unlock it, and took my shoes off, seeing her sitting on the couch and watching tv.
"Still here?" I asked, not really surprised, making her glance in my direction before quickly looking back at the tv.
"Hello, sunshine." she answered sarcastically as I let myself fall next to her with a groan.
"You remember you have your own place, don't you?" I pointed out, bringing my feet back on the couch and spreading my arms on the back of it. "With your own tv and couch."
"I thought you'd spend your weekend at Cindy's." she just said with a shrug, not even looking at me.
I didn't answer and this grabbed her attention. She took the remote and turned the tv off, turning her whole body on the couch to face me.
"You already ended things with her?" she asked, sending me a look that I couldn't decipher. "Seriously?"
The thought made me grimace and I looked away, shaking my head slightly.
"No fucking way, she left you?" Her lips curled into a smile and she threw her head back slightly to laugh.
I grabbed a cushion and hit her on the head with it, making her laugh even harder.
"Can believe the player got played!" she added, chuckling again as I sighed.
"I'm not a player, I just don't see the point of a steady relationship I mean, it's pointless."
We remained silent for about a minute until Lottie moved on her seat and leaned her head on the couch, still looking at me. I knew what she was thinking about because I was thinking about the same thing. I saw her lips part slightly and I decided to cut her before she said anything.
"Yes, but I don't want to talk about it." i let out quickly. "All I can tell you is that i'm never falling in love again."
Her expression changed into a sad one and she brought her hand on my thigh, squeezing it to comfort me, and it worked. If I wanted to be honest, Lottie was one of my best friends and if anyone could understand me, it was her. The problem was, I didn't want to dwell on the past. At least, not this specific past, because it still stung a bit.
"I truly hope that's not true, Lou." she admitted in a low tone. "You deserve to be happy."
This time, I smiled sincerely and chuckled.
"Who says i'm not?"
She decided to remain silent even if I knew she was probably biting her tongue. She had an opinion on all of this, one that differed from mine, and we both knew that if this discussion started, it wouldn't end up. It took her a few seconds but she swallowed hard and cleared her throat, quickly changing the subject.
"So, are you going to Vegas?"
I looked at her and blinked a few times, making her laugh.
"Yea I heard a few of you were going." she finally explained. "I'm surprised you have that many friends."
I grimaced at her and tilted my head, showing her my middle finger quickly and making her laugh even more. Liam hadn't mentioned who was coming specifically but I knew we were about to be more than just us.
"Yea I think there's nine of us going."
"So you're going?" she nodded. "That's good. It means I can stay here for a few more days."
She sent me a smirk and I laughed, shaking my head again.
"Of course. Mi casa es tu casa." I smiled fondly before quickly getting up. "I'm gonna go pack and then take a nap."
I felt my phone vibrate and grabbed it, almost dropping it and cursing low.
'We're leaving tonight. Picking you up at 7.'
"Yea, it's better you sleep before. I don't think you're gonna sleep much. And you better have lots and lots of fun. I mean, it's called Sin City, isn't it?"
I smirked at her and bent down slightly to kiss the top of her head.
"That's the plan."

Hey I have a question, nothing to do really with your current convos but I had seen this video about zayn being forced out of the band. I personally don’t believe this because of all the stuff he was going through with his mental health and his ED but the video was saying how naughty boy was paid off and that the zouis fight wasn’t them it was management . They also touched on the subject of zayns contract almost ending and how he would have to pay like (cont)
How he would have to pay a shit ton of money to get out of the band ..which could be total bs idk I have no idea how that works. After googling tho I found like a tweet from naughty boy saying like “zayn who” or something like that. Also how like at the Asian awards he was with Preston which was weird cause Preston works with 1D and zayn was seen with him even after he “wasn’t suppose to”??? I couldn’t really find anything tangible. So I just wanted your opinion on the whole z being forced out
hoooo boyyyy, so this is a complicated question and i would recommend taking a look through my zayn leaving tag after reading this and i’m probably not gonna address every single thing you mentioned here just cause i feel like a lot of it has been talked about ad nauseam and you’ll probably see quite a bit of what i mean when you read through some of the stuff in the tag though i will try to address as much as i can, but i do fully believe that zayn’s departure was not all of his own choosing. emphasis on ‘not all’ because as i always say we’re all speculating here and ofc have no idea of the details of what all actually went down or how it played out but my current standing at the moment, having marinating a lot on the things he’s said and the way he said them over the years in addition to the events surrounding it all (the e.d. and visible weight loss, anxiety and depression ramping up, etc.) and just his character in general, is that if he wasn’t altogether forced out against his will and if it really was his own decision to leave it was because he felt like he had no choice (and therefore was essentially still forced out to some degree imo), whether because he was given some sort of ultimatum or manipulated somehow or felt like it was the only way to save himself and his relationship or what-have-you.

first off we’ll start with the bit you mentioned about having to pay to get out of the band. if you look at this all from a legal standpoint, there were a ton of contracts that were still in place (marketing/commercials, public appearances, events, the tour/performances, etc.) with the expectation of the participation of the band as a five-person unit, not to mention the contracts up the yin yang they would’ve had with the label and mgmt in general ofc. all of those contracts would have presumably included zayn as a still-standing member of the band at the time, and necessitated his signature/agreement in some shape or form to comply and fulfill whatever obligations those contracts entailed. those don’t just go away overnight. let’s say there were around half a dozen major companies if we’re being modest (i’m sure there was more than that but we’ll just go with that for example’s sake), that they still had existing/standing contracts with to do appearances and endorsement deals or events with. you can’t just call up half a dozen huge companies and be like ‘hey, yeah remember that contract we signed last year where we promised all 5 members of the band would show up to fulfill that obligation you wanted? well, we’re gonna have to cancel, so yeah what do you say we just rip all those up, pretend it never happened, draw up all new contracts for a 4-person band instead, and we’ll call it even?’ hell no. those companies/people are gonna be pissed as hell that they’re not getting what they’re paying for and are gonna want a shit ton of money for nulling/violation of contracts, the paperwork alone would be a mess (a la harry’s joke in the four interviews), not to mention the probable souring of what i’m sure were some long-standing business relationships. all of that is gonna be a huge months-long legal mess, involving lots of lawyers, lots of money, lots of sour feelings all around, lots of legal in-fighting, and back-and-forth paperwork, etc. then you’ve got the contracts zayn had with the label itself (and by proxy, mgmt) which presumably would have included his contractual agreement to finish the tour, be involved in any future albums obligated in their record contract, make appearances, do promo, etc. all of those contracts don’t go away overnight either. so the idea that zayn just woke up one morning, decided to leave, and hopped on a plane and that was that is pretty ludicrous imo esp when you consider all the things a contract can force a person to do even at risk of their mental and physical health (take a look through my contracts tag for more on this and/or look at rebecca ferguson’s situation for example). and even when you look at it from the flip-side, from sony/syco’s pov, when you consider all the things they’ve done just to keep people beholden to their disgusting shitty contracts, it’s absolutely mind-boggling to me how anyone would think they would just let zayn, 1/5 of their biggest money-making enterprise, just up and walk away without suing him up the ass and without any kind of repercussions (just look at kesha, for example). so yes, i fully believe that whether it was fully zayn’s decision to leave or not, he would have had to pay a fuck ton of money and legal fees and go through a fuck ton of shit to get out of all those contracts, and they would not have let him go that easily unless they were getting something they wanted out of it
(and side note: i think his $10 mill drop* in networth compared to the other boys shortly after he left, shows all that pretty clearly too)
on the matter of him still appearing with 1d staff, that’s honestly the biggest proof there is that he was still connected to the band and to syco/sony even after he supposedly “left” and also a big part of what fueled the rumors/theories that he might still be coming back at the time. because, if i remember right, he was still listed officially as like a share-holder or partner or something in 1d’s business ventures for like a year after he left and also a ton of other legal/business-y stuff. if he had really cut all legal and monetary ties (and contracts) with 1d and syco/sony and every person or company associated with them within those first few days after he left as was claimed, WHY was he still publicly listed as a partner in all of 1d’s business enterprises over a year after he had “left”? why was he still employing/working with people on 1dhq’s payroll months after supposedly severing all contracts with them and everyone related to them? if he really had cut all ties and was completely alone and removed from everyone in 1d and 1dhq as he claimed in interviews and even in his book after the fact, then how was it he was still using 1d’s same security guards and staff? you’re telling me the company he just went through this huge public nasty legal and monetary battle with and violated a shit ton of contracts with to get away from is now totally a-okay with just letting him continue to use their employees? nah fam. literally nowhere in the business world is that believable. if i was with some company for five years, and then just up and quit in the middle of a huge project and cost them a shit ton in legal fees and violated all sorts of business contracts and company rules on my way out, they’re sure as hell not just gonna let me walk right back in and borrow one of their employees for my own private use
as for the zouis twitter fight, considering all the heaping evidence we have of 1dhq abusing using their accounts for nefarious reasons, it’s not at all far fetched to me to think that that fight could have fabricated, esp cause the quote on quote “feud” between them (and between zayn and ot4 in general) really only played out through twitter and print media, and personally i just have a hard time believing anything that plays out strictly through those mediums esp so publicly and also a hard time believing that liam and louis’ friendship would have remained so steady and seemingly positive/strong whilst louis publicly shat on liam’s best friend/boyfriend (depending on what you believe) over social media, though i mean it’s all a matter of opinion, and i’m in no way trying to force you to adopt my point of view if you believe their rift was genuine, that’s just my take on it
anyway, all that said, it has just never made sense to me that he would risk all the monetary and legal blowback/repercussions (not to mention the isolation, public ridicule, and and uncertainty/instability of starting all over with his career and contracts and business connections, etc. all of which one would think, if anything, all the stress of which would only make his mental health worse not better) that quitting the band would entail, especially mid-tour. like why not quit during the break they’d just had a couple months before? or wait it out just a couple more months esp knowing (which i’m sure he did by then) that the hiatus was coming up? and all this happens right before they’re about to go to the very countries that he has the biggest fanbase/the biggest connection to (middle east and northern africa - predominantly muslim countries) for the first time in their careers? it all just seems very fishy. and i also just don’t think he’s so callous as to have left them all high and dry like that in the middle of a tour unless there was some degree of manipulation/enforcement involved, but again that’s just me. take all this as you will and take a look through some of the stuff discussed on those tags i linked above and you can make up your own mind, but feel free to come back here if you have more questions or wanna talk further about any of this, and i hope this long rambly ass dissertation of an answer (sorry lol) finds you well :)

au where harry and Louis are solo artists and they’re not exactly friends per se but they’re friendly, know each other from industry parties and things like that and there’s always been this weird unspoken sexual tension between them and Louis’ always kinda confused bc isn’t harry the biggest ladies’ man in the industry?? and one day harry asks Louis to collab with him and of course Louis says yes even tho he’s kinda surprised and harry plays the song for him and Louis is completely blown away by how beautiful it is and it’s a love song and he’s like damn whoever this is about is lucky as fuck bc it’s clearly written from personal experience so they spend all this time together recording and it’s super bittersweet bc they click right away and it takes Louis about three seconds to realize he has a huge fucking crush on harry but on the other hand harry clearly had someone in mind when he wrote the song so the last day of recording comes and Louis’ like “thanks for having me on the song” and harry just shrugs and is like “well it just seemed fitting bc the song is about you”

Before he goes on his way, though, he plucks the note from the top of the container and carefully tucks it inside of his wallet to protect it from the rain.

(( I really wanted to do this meme for a long time now ! But I kinda struggled with which verse I would do for Elisa. But since it’s tumblr, I’ll do it with the more Borderlands-tumblr verse I have for her right now. If you guys want to see this meme with Elisa her main/canon backstory. Feel free to tell me :) ))
PART 1: THE BASICS
What is your full name? “My name is Elisa de Graaf.”
Where and when were you born? “I was born on Earth. Haha no, I was born in the Netherlands on the 13th of February 1994.”
Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) “Uhm...That’s a weird situation...I have my own parents, David and Selina de Graaf. My dad and I share the same powers and he is a magician who preforms shows around the world. My mom has telepathic powers, just like my brother. She works as promoter for my dad. So they can be together as often as possible ! They are kind, funny and very supportive. But uhmm..Now the weird part...Since I kinda live on Pandora now, I got a set of new parents. Handsome Jack and Nisha the sheriff of Lynchwood...Yea...I call them my murder parents, because, well...You know...”
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? “I have ! My brother Liam de Graaf, he’s a couple years older then me and share the same powers as my mom. He is very protective and funny. I miss him...But I have nothing to fear. I got my Pandoran brother now, August ! August is such an amazing guy. He takes care of me, he’s kinda, funny, charming and makes me feel at home again.”
Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. “Right now I live in a couple of places. I have a place on Helios, in Lynchwood, in Hallow Point and with Rhys is the Atlas facility.”
What is your occupation? “I work in the Purple Skag as a waitress.”

I have a bunch of tattoos on my hips and back and with a little help of my silly magic, I made them fade and appear on random parts of my back. Oh ! And I don’t weight a lot...whoops.”

What is your earliest memory? “Uhmm...My earliest memory is about my brother and I sharing ice cream. I was covered in it tho hahaha.”

Nisha, who took me in when I had no place to go and she quickly became my best friend ! August, who is my Pandoran brother ! Handsome Jack, sure our relationship is kinda weird...But I see him as a friend. And Pari, she’s such an awesome friend, I love her. And there are a lot more, but we’re not that close yet...”

ahem, now that that’s that. I’d like to continue with saying that this really means a lot to me. When I first started this blog I expected it to just, fall off, like my Genji blog did when I first tried joining the RP community (rip, surudoiejji. August 17th-28th. You will be remembered.) But I was pleasantly surprised with it gaining momentum quickly.
Back in September I hardly knew what to do with Ana, and my blog was a mess. From a shitty url that was a pun to halfassed tags. You guys, for some reason that’s still beyond me, followed me and made me feel welcomed for the seven (7) months (wow!! seven months!!!) I’ve been here.
Because of this I’ve met some awesome people and made awesome new friends! So without further adieu, here is my Bias List.

im not even sure we’ve really seen their whips draw blood per se and certainly it wouldn’t have caused that kind of blood stain
also why is the blood still wet and red 30 years later? why wasn’t that newspaper rotted out? either time impacted this town to make it shitty as hell or it didn’t, pick one, you cannot have both. it still rains enough in california to totally disintegrate a newspaper in thirty years.
how the fuck did that carousel function even that tiny bit after 30 years in the elements?
why did melissa have to sneak chris argent around, couldnt he have just declined the operation against medical advice?
also good to see scott got his utter inability to lie from his mom
even if malia isnt wearing 100% stiles’ void-hoodie how could the costume department have thought for a minute we wouldnt have thought that was the void hoodie?
malia having a hallucination of theo in the same episode he comes back in for real seemed both rushed and entirely unnecessary.
in fact these hallucinations seemed wholesale unnecessary and neither scott nor malia deserved that nonsense
were all of these dead leaves already on location or did some poor asshole have to ship them in and then ship them out again
come to think of it, at first i was really excited to see coral/eucalyptus trees as they are actually trees that are in california (as opposed to the type of oak the nemeton is, which is distinctly Not a type of tree in california) but then i realized those are Southern California Trees and if beacon hills (and canaan) are that far north and close to the oregon border, the trees should be way more pines and evergreens and not coral or eucalyptus or ... any deserty tree, really.

malia like chugs a good half of her glass at once, but when she sets it back down it is more full than any of the other glasses. i prefer to think she just faked drinking it to try and gain lenore’s trust than it’s a continuity error from the props department.
when lenore starts using her banshee powers to shake the house, it also magically converts the lemonade into water.
lenore has a pair of decorative ducks on her wall but they appear to be two male mallard ducks, so. gay duck decor.
