2024 Book List!
Not that anyone will care about this but I wanted to do it and have fun!! Here is a list of the books I have read so far this year and some of my thoughts!
1. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
This was my favorite book of the Hunger Games trilogy. I haven’t read A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes but I do have it. I started the Hunger Games to cope with the fact that I didn’t have the next book for Throne of Glass, but I still loved it I cant wait to watch the movies!!
2. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
I still to this day have no idea what this ending was and I didn’t like the book enough to try and figure it out. It was alright, didn’t love the ending, and Katiness honestly pissed me off.
3. Heartless by Elsie Silver
Oh my GOD I LOVE THIS BOOK. This is the second book in the Chestnut Springs Series (Flawless, Heartless, Powerless, Reckless, Hopeless) Cade is the standard I have for men now. He is him. I want a grumpy, mid thirties, cowboy to tell me everything’s gonna be okay. Cade and Willa are my lord and saviors.
4. Powerless by Elsie Silver
This is the third book in the Chestnut Springs Series (Flawless, Heartless, Powerless, Reckless, Hopeless) and it was some of the best character development I’ve ever read about. It was fanfuckingtastic. So good, so we’ll thought out and so god damn smutty. Jasper is so 🤭🤭🤭 with his 6’4 tattooed ass.
5. Reckless by Elsie Silver
Theo. Silva. Is. Him. Bullriders are hot. Convince me otherwise. You cannot. Again, some amazing fucking character development form the FMC (Winter Hamilton). I love love love this book. My heart was so happy in the end.
6. Credence by Penelope Douglas
What the actual fuck did I just read. So…. She goes to love with her dads step brother and his two sons in the remote mountains of Colorado. And they get snowed in for the winter. And she’s the only women around. For five months. I’m gonna let y’all figure out the rest. But it has good moments? I think? It was so weird and I’m mad at myself for thinking some of it was hot. It’s fiction, it’s not real. (I’m delusional).
7. Where Broken Wings Fly by J. Rose
This book was outstanding. Fantastic character development and a really good portrayal of PTSD. It’s about a mom and her daughter who escape an arrange, abusive marriage and flee from Mexico to a remote mountain Villingen in England. The cliffhanger at the end made me want to absolutely tear down my house brick for brick to find the answers but I supposed buying the second book will do. It was so good, super smutty, absolutely beautiful.
8. How Does It Feel? By Jeneane O’Riley
What. The. Fuck. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK. I AM SO NOT OKAY????? Those last two chapters had some Fourth Wing level plot twists that I had no hope of predicting. I am in shambles rn. Absolutely distressed over this fucking god damn mother fucking book. It’s about a biologist who falls through a faerie portal, onto the crowded prince. They think she’s an assassin sent to kill him, and he puts her through a lot of torture to prove her innocence. NOTHING. AND. I. MEAN. NOTHING. will prepare you for this ending.
9. Hopeless by Elsie Silver
AMAZING. 11/10 Elsie silver kills it ever time. This story is about Beau and Bailey. Arranged fake marriage, enemies to friends to lovers. He’s a medically retired special ops military guy and she’s got the worst last name in town. So cute. So sweet. So spicy. Beau Eaton is the standard I have for men now. He’s everything I need. Love love LOVE
10). One Dark Window by Rachel Ginning
My favorite book of the year. Hands down. I cannot stress how much I LOVED. THIS. FUCKING. BOOK. The main character Elspyth has been infected as a child and now harbors raw, unfiltered magic. It is a crime to use magic without the use of the Providence Cards. There are twelve Cards and they all give you separate abilities (strength, speed, beauty, to control others minds, influence emotions and so on). She had the ability to absorb the magic from these cards and now has one of them living inside her head. She teams up with a band of rebels to reunite the Cards in the deck to lift a deadly mist from their town. It’s insanity. It’s so crazy good idk how NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING I HAVE NEVER ONCE SEEN THIS BOOK ON BOOKTOK OR IG AND ITS CONCERNING. easily the best world building I’ve ever read. I finished the book last night and the second one will be here today 😭😭

opinion on circus(es): generally not a fan. i don't support the way that they've treated animals.
do you have a sense of direction: absolutely. helps when you're flying through fog. idk how to describe it. it's just like an internal sense of knowing in your bones of where you are and where you started from.

Eidos Gamora was fanfuckingtastic, not seeing her again will be so sad. Of all the adaptations (movie, TV, telltale and now Eidos) she’s the best one of them all and I love her so much!

I’m so glad that last anon said what they did about the movie cuz I was finna do the same thing
Yuta had no reason sounding the way he did during that movie had me clenching my thighs
Geto….homeboy was terrible but HIS HANDS GOOD GOD had me foaming at the mouth
And seeing gojo dip and dodge with no problem also got me feeling some way

“It’s what Tess wants, Deb,” Danny smiled. “It’s what I want. You should be happy for me.”
“Well, maybe if you were FBI you wouldn’t leave.”
“Most people are proud of their brothers who work for the CIA,” Danny scoffed.
“Well, you don’t even do that anymore,” Debbie pointed out. “You’re a quitter. Me, on the other hand? I’m a heartbeat away from being promoted.”
“I’m stepping down so I can have more time to build a family,” he huffed. “You know what, Deb? Can I say something without you lashing out at me?
The brunette shrugged before sipping at her water.
“You need to let loose a little,” Danny murmured. “I know your whole life is work and maybe that’s okay. But god, you won’t even have a beer with your brother. Or be happy that Tess and I are trying for a baby. And you know what? That promotion? You’re not gonna get it unless other agents like you. It’s about more than doing your own job right. You have to work with other people too.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Debbie rolled her eyes.
“When’s the last time you went on a date, Debs?”
“I don’t see how that’s any of your business.”
“Right,” Danny nodded.
Debbie pretended to look around as she tapped her foot.
“Just do me a favor, Deb,” he whispered as he stood, dragging his chair back. “Live it up a little, alright? You’ve always played everything by the book. Just let loose for a bit. It could change your life.”

“Listen, Agent Ocean,” Debbie’s boss sighed. “I’m gonna be frank with you. We’re looking at you for a promotion, but there’s an issue we need to address.”
“Paperwork, right?” Debbie smiled. “I don’t mind it. I can have it on your desk by 5 today. Sooner even.”
“I’m not even sure how best to say this,” he smiled awkwardly. “Your numbers are good. Your missions have gone smoothly. But there’s a character issue.”
“Character issue?” Debbie scoffed. “I can’t even pretend to understand what that means.”
“Look,” he spoke. “I’m just going to be blunt. You’ve checked all the boxes. The job is yours. You just need to prove one thing to me: that people can like you.”
“Like me? Who the hell cares? I get the job done.”
“But you’re arrogant. uptight. You need to let loose a bit.”
“Now you sound like my brother,” Debbie hissed.
“Then maybe I have a point,” he smiled. “Especially if I’m not the only person saying this. Just think about it alright?”
“Alright,” Debbie nodded, trying to resist the urge to roll her eyes. “So, say that you’re right. How do I prove this to you?”
“Have you heard about Detective Miller?”
“In Boston?” Debbie sighed.
“You’re gonna work a case with Miller up in Boston and then we can talk about your promotion.”
“Fanfuckingtastic,” Debbie grumbled.

“You have got to be shitting me,” Debbie grimaced, squinting through the dark, almost-empty Boston bar, only one person visible.
She took a deep breath before turning on her heel and briskly heading towards the back corner where a pair of combat boots waited on the table on top of a pile of peanut shells. Debbie could see at least two empty beer bottles sitting near the edge.
Debbie cleared her throat before sticking her hand out, eyes closed as she took another breath.
“Detective Miller? I’m Agent Deborah Ocean and it’s—“
“God, your chief really wasn’t joking when he said you were uptight,” a low voice chuckled throwing Debbie as she let her hand fall, opening her eyes.
Debbie was dumbstruck. Combat boots. Black skinny jeans. Black leather jacket. Gun laying haphazard right out on the table. Badge right beside it.
She’d expected the dive bar. The sloppiness. The lazy, rebellious attitude that was wafting out of the booth. But she hadn’t expected her.
Piercing blue eyes looked up at Debbie’s, peering into her soul, as plump, soft lips broke into a devious smirk.
“I’m not gonna shake your hand,” the woman snorted, swinging her legs off the table. “Grab a seat. I’ll get you a drink.”
“I don’t drink,” Debbie declared, removing a wet wipe from her briefcase and wiping down her side of the table before sitting down stiffly.
“Oh come on,” the blonde sighed. “It’s—“ she checked her watch. “11am.” She coughed. “Eh, I’ve done worse. Haven’t gone to sleepy yet either so might as well.”
“So,” Debbie cleared her throat. “Detective—“
“Lou’s fine,” the blonde waved her off.
“Lou then,” Debbie nodded, sucking in a breath.

Do you have a list of your favorite season 1-3 episodes? I want to get into the first few seasons but I need something to latch onto
oh hell yeah!!! I love seasons 1-3 and as much as I love Cas I never skip over them when I rewatch. There are some real gems of episodes, awesome characters, cool monsters, and Essential Character Building and Family Drama that lets you get into the meat of the dumbass Winchesters
alright these are my picks with reasoning:
Season 1:
1x01: Pilot - you gotta watch it. Fanfuckingtastic episode all around. ESSENTIAL
1x03: Dead in the Water - honestly i love this ep bc it shows Dean with kids and lets him talk about his trauma. sue me. not essential-essential
1x05: Bloody Mary - Awesome ep, cool monster. Sam backstory.
1x06: Skin - fucking awesome episode!!! cool monster, good music
1x10: Scarecrow - Awsome!! fun lines, brother drama, cool monster, character entry
1x11: Faith - I know this is three in a row but these are amazing. Faith is your start into Really Hating John Winchester and is just... heartbreaking and good
1x17: Hell House - not essential essential, it’s the ep that introduces the Ghost Facers and I love them and the monster concept
1x18: Something Wicked - Another Hate John Winchester his sons’ sakes heartbreaking good ep. Yes I know and yes i love it
1x20-1x22 - These eps are just kind of essential for the Winchester Family Drama and also the Overarching plot. They’re pretty solid episodes too, and I do love the big bad
Season 2:
2x01: In My Time Of Dying - you will need to watch this ep after the finale of the first season and you will not regret it. it will rip your heart out a little but what doesn’t in this show
2x02: Everybody Loves A Clown - Introduces you to Ellen and Jo and Ash!!!! Essential character growth/progression/tension! creepy ass monster. Dean looking hot in a carnie get-up
2x03: Bloodlust - introduces you to Gordon Walker. God i hate the guy but he is a really cool character
2x05: Simon Said - Introduces you to a fun-ass character and some essential Big Plot stuff. it’s funny and a little shocking
2x08: Crossroad Blues - introduces the Art of the Deal. talks about Robert Johnson which I’m a slut for.
2x10: Hunted - A great round of brother drama along with Big Plot. This ep just has a great rhythm and is really engaging no matter what you look for
2x12: Nightshifter - awesome episode, great musical cues, I believe it introduces you to the love of my life Victor Henrikson. Amazing minor character which Dean adores which I adore. pump it in my veins classic spn
2x15: Tall Tales - Introduces you to another fun-ass character and has a ton of Suffering Bobby fathering his Bitchy Boys which is hilarious
2x17: Heart - a famous ep for a reason. a great MOTW story and some heartbreak thrown in
2x18: Hollywood Babylon - a funny MOTW on a horror movie set. an even funnier ep if you know before hand that everything the Network Executive says in this ep is something the Network told SPN writers about SPN. not essential essential
2x19: Folsom Prison Blues - Another just fantastic episode. It’s got Dean inexplicably looking great in an orange jumpsuit and it’s just good.
2x20: What is and What Should Never Be - GOD I HAVE WATCHED THIS EP SO MANY TIMES. it breaks my fucking heart but it’s soooo good
2x21-2x22: Essential end of the season episodes you need for the plot, they also bang really hard.
Season 3:
3x01: The Magnificent Seven - it’s got cool demons, it’s got you finding stuff out and brother drama because of that, it’s good
3x03: Bad Day at Black Rock - Introduces you to Bela! who i think is pretty sick. also a funny ep
3x07: Fresh Blood - the follow up to Gordon Walker. A good ep, lots of tension, it’s classic spn to me
3x08: A Supernatural Christmas - the epitome of classic spn. a funny MOTW ep wrapped up in Christmas wrapped up in sadness
3x10: Dream A Little Dream of Me - you need to watch this episode for Dean’s character development. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it but due to mental illness gee it might be my most watched. GOOD EP
3x11: Mystery Spot - a CLASSIC spn episode you say? a funny MOTW ep wrapped up in Groundhog Day wrapped up in sadness
3x12: Jus in Bello - I LOVE THIS EPISODE. walking legend victor henrikson (having a little bi moment with dean), ruby, awesome stakes, shock and awe and fun and sadness
3x13: Ghostfacers - remember how I said I love Ghostfacers?? shows how much the winchesters would cuss if they weren’t on the CW/WB. essential viewing for the line :
3x15: Time is on My Side - gives you essential character info about Bela which i AM STILL MAD ABOUT bc Sam and Dean never find out and really amps up the suspense in a way I love
3x16: In My Time of Dying - this is a good episode. this episode will punch you in the gut. yes i’m sorry yes you must go through it welcome
(^^ in case you didn’t know, season 3 only has 16 episodes because there was a writers’ strike around this time and they couldn’t finish the season without writers!! which led to them finishing the season early and then bringing Cas in because they didn’t know what else to do! talk about divine intervention, hell yes to unions)

Michelle Visage is gross and praising her while actively bullying Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman for playing the same mean judge character - that's racist henny.
Let us not forget that in a season 4 episode of Drag Race (Frock the Vote, aired 2012) she said in response to a character choice by one Phi Phi O'Hara. Michelle, born in New Jersey and a white woman, thought it was okay to say:
I am clearly all about political incorrectness [...] That joke came across as offensive. And being a black woman, I got a little offended.
Everyone laughed. And made it okay for her to say this, while sitting alongside a black man and sitting in front of two black performers. She thought it was okay to say this on TV. The editor who put that clip in also thought it was okay to say.
That isn't her being an ally. That is fucked up and everyone let her get away with it.
But JBC comes for your fave (don't get it twisted cunts, I've been obsessed with Jimbo from the jump) and this is enough for him to be burnt at the stake and literally run off of social media. Make it make sense. This is some racist bullshit.
