The Deltarune au loosely(?) follows along the plot/timeline of the original game ! I've mostly only thought of most of the events from chapter two but I wanna play around with everything!!! (spoilers for Deltarune ahead)

Antagonist is kind of a loose word, but there's a bit of tension from all sides. My main focuses of the au that I've had revolve around Radiostatic because I got the initial idea to start the au because of an old Swatchton fic I wrote. . But if I had to give them roles, Lucifer is King BUT THEY DONT HAVE THE SAME GOALS/REASONS. i say he is King ONLY bc of their similar positions and. titles,,

I think I'm going to keep most of what my plans for the City/ Queen/Chapter two as a whole to myself for now until i post Real Content. I've been debating on and off whether I have the energy/choose whether storytelling through writing or trying to make it a comic would be better...

But the main planned players SO FAR that ive really thought about are Vox, Alastor, Lucifer, and Charlie ! if you read this far thank you for reading heres a spamton Vox as requested AFKJHSDHJKF

You know something I've noticed that people poke at for a reason for Swatchton to not be valid? (And it's not a good reason, I'll tell you why)

In the promotional ad for his merchandise, it's very clear that Spamton hates Swatch, because while he covers everyone else with single [WRONG] labels, he covers Swatch entirely with them.

But don't be mistaken, this is not a reason for the ship not to be valid. If anything it validates it more.

You cannot have hate without love.

You cannot have absolute strong hatred for someone without love of some kind existing there.

Whether it be a failed relationship, or love for something or someone that is being threatened by the target of the hatred.

And I don't think that Spamton would hate them THAT VEHEMENTLY for threatening his goals. Because honestly it's just Swatch's job to keep the castle safe and keep everything held together under Queen's order.

It's business, nothing personal, so clearly more happened.

Swatch speaks sadly on the topic but Spamton is clearly more than pissed, so that tells me that they had a thing, and then Spammy let his goals overpower his care for those around him.

It could just be that the both of them handle breakups differently, but I will admit, a failed relationship is an extra slap in the face if you already got your plans foiled.

And I much prefer to see the au artworks of them where he actually turned around and made it work. Because knowing what canonically happens to Spamton just makes me sad to think about :(

If someone under the LGBT umbrella would like to write it more properly and with a better understanding of this territory, I'll fully support it, but myself being straight just makes it feel wrong to portray this in the series of events I want to play out for the comic I've mentioned that plays out for the duration of those things happening. It's not my place and it makes me uncomfortable.

And I really don't like to write LGBT relationships that fail, because the "bury your gays/gays don't have happy endings" trope is a story that's been overused by homophobes and I hate it.

But yeah, no, most likely had something before Spam let his troubles and obsession with Heaven get the better of him. No one can convince me otherwise.
