finally finished disco elysium yaaaaay
#i love when i actually finish video games i like instead of arbitrarily dropping them at the climax & never picking them up again <3#anyway it was really good but as my brother pointed out. it is kinda weird to introduce the killer so late in a murder mystery#like surprise! it was this guy who hadn't even been mentioned until you stumble across him in the last hour or two of gameplay#bit of an odd choice given the genre but i'll forgive it bc it was overall oustoundingly well written#i can't say there was no foreshadowing as to who the killer really was beforehand but it still kinda came out of left field#like garte really didn't notice this weird old man slinking into his kitchen & crawling around inside the walls of his hotel even once. okay#loved that the cryptid was real tho. best part of the climax frankly. i knew i was right to keep running around cryptid hunting#who's laughing now kim#animal.txt#disco elysium#disco elysium spoilers

hoo... kaeya's hangout was a wild ride from start to finish
#⇢₊˚⊹ 🩷∥ruby∥yo，ide yo !!#genshin spoilers#it was literally mondstadt all-stars#(i am slightly disappointed at not seeing amber. but it is what it is i guess)#(plus now i can meet albedo and venti whenever i want so i can't complain too much hehe)#my favorite route was the acting though#he changed into his skin which is already two points in its favor#and of course he gained simps doing it lol#but then the story of the play might also have something to do with his backstory. quite curious#and the private talk with the traveler at the end. just. just everything about this route#back to mondstadt tho#i always found it amusing whenever the traveler grumbled about not getting to drink alcohol#it's one of the longest running jokes in the game besides emergency food (albeit way more subtle). and i for one will never get tired of it#i really didn't expect to make a stop at liyue tho. that came completely out of left field for me#when we had to go to heyu tea house i got excited because lore-wise chongyun likes to hang out there#of course i was hoping against hope. and of course that hope was dashed#but i guess it wouldn't have made much sense for him to show up anyway#that aside#the fake name he made up for himself — “Albert Rich”#it's very 👀#it's probably nothing more than a pun on his his last name “Alberich”. it was just an amusing choice imo#i can't believe we get two things from this hangout tho. an unusable quest memento and a piece of furniture#i thoroughly enjoyed all of it tbh#this as well as the three newest hangouts — kaveh layla and faruzan — have raised my expectations significantly for future hangouts#i mean obviously not all of them can be mondstadt all stars#i just think these hangouts were really really good#oh yeah also#not a single instance of fighting enemies in this hangout#i mean there wouldn't be much point since his combat doesn't need to be advertised being a free character that every account has#i prefer no combat segments tho. means i can do the hangout while eating lunch

Last book you read - I’m midway through Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur (it’s alright but not my favorite)
Last book you enjoyed - I read Satisfaction Guaranteed by Karelia Stetz-Waters in one sitting. Could not put it down.
Last book you hated reading - I’m back and forth with Written in the Stars, but I think that’s because it claims to be inspired by Pride & Predjudice (the main characters are Elle and Darcy, for god’s sake) but imo it doesn’t lean hard enough one way or another to do any justice to P&P. I don’t hate it, but it’s taking me a while to get through.
Favorite thing to cook/bake - I just love cooking 💕😂 I like making bolognese, and coq au vin, and really anything that requires a bunch of time spent in the kitchen listening to music and dancing around (and wine). For baking I’ve been doing the NYT No Knead Peasant Loaf at least once a week, and it’s so easy and fun 💕💕💕 though I’m also deeply into pies and crisps and things, especially with the summer and fall fruit.
Favorite craft to do in your free time - Drawing (obviously), but also knitting and crocheting!! I need to get my ass in gear for holiday knitting 😂
Most niche dislikes - mouth noises 😂 and slow walkers (I’m short but I’m gay so I walk fast)
Opinion on circuses - I grew up watching Cirque du Soleil recordings with my dad, so I love that particular group. Otherwise, I don’t think I’d go to one.
Do you have a sense of direction and if not what’s the worst way you’ve gotten lost? - I have an okay sense of direction, but I definitely rely on Google Maps 😂 I don’t remember the last time I got lost tbh (thank u google maps)
