It’s just. The problem isn’t even that they kept bringing Lucifer back. It’s that they never did anything interesting with it. You’re going to tell me that he spends an entire season going “this has to happen. It’s going to happen. No one can stop it,” and only wavers a little at the final moment and then gets his ass handed to him by Sam Winchester, proving that he was definitely wrong this entire time, and that didn’t do anything to his worldview? If Michael gets to have an existential crisis about his role in everything when he gets out of the Cage, Lucifer deserves to have one too.

sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever stop using frames of the shooting scene for buddie edits but today I realized that no, no I most likely won’t, that shit’ll go on their wedding day edit, I SWEAR IT WILL, like, I’m sorry, but that was an extremely formative moment for them and they survived it together, of course it goes on all the sad edits but also OF COURSE it goes on the happy ones too
