#this child is going to torment sebastian when she gets older

First off I love your Miraculous Ladybug fics. Also I don't know if you are a Black Butler fan or not. But if you are could you please do a fic where Lila causes a that destroys Marinette's home/bakery, which kills Marinette's parents and severely injures Marinette. While in the hospital recovering Roland finds out what Lila did and talks with Gina, both recently have been diagnosed with cancer and want to make sure Marinette is taken care of when they die. Gina or Roland remember a story told to them by a descendant of the Phantomhive servants (In this fic it follows season 2 with Sebastian being able to get Ciel's memories back before Claude tried to brainwash him and was able to eat Ciel's soul) (either from when Gina was in traveling in England or someone who Roland's father knew during WWII) about a demon who acted like a caretaker for a child in the late 1800's. They both decide to sacrifice themselves so Marinette can be cared for. One summons Sebastian the other summons Claude. The terms of the contract are simple, in exchange for eating the soul of the person who summoned their specific demon the summoned demon would care for Marinette, act as her guardian, help her achieve her dreams, and care for her, her husband and their children until Marinette passes away from old age. The contract is accepted with both demons. While caring for Marinette it becomes sort of a contest between the two demons of them trying to out do each other in different ways (if Claude gets her multiple roles of different color spider silk fabric, Sebastian "accidentally" gets Marinette introduced to several high ranking nobles ["Hello, my ancestor worked for your ancestor's peer. What a small world. Might I introduce you to my ward?"] that become her clients. Due to the two demons' shenanigans Lila gets exposed, the Butterfly and Peacock are recovered, Adrien's mother is awakened, Marinette gets some real friends (Will, Ronald, Grell, and the Undertaker got reincarnated and regain their memories after a while) and falls in love with her future husband (either Will, Ronald, or the Undertaker. The only reason I don't do this fic myself is I can't write Black Butler characters even though it's one of my favorite animes.
Sorry this took so long, I wanted to try my best to make the characters accurate, so I had to rewatch some of the show. I hope I did good, but I am pretty rusty, writing these characters. But I tried my best! Hope you like it!
Lila was getting more and more dangerous. She didn't just want to ruin Marinette's social life anymore. Now she wanted to ruin her entire life, or even end it. One night, when everyone was asleep, Lila broke into the bakery and started a fire. She made sure that it would spread to the upper floors and then she raced from the building before she was spotted.
The fire spread quickly and soon the entire building, bakery and the apartment were completely engulfed. Marinette woke up to the smell of smoke and Tikki yelling in her ear. Despite the kwami screaming at her to leave the apartment, Marinette raced down to her parents room, to see if they had gotten out, but the door was blocked by debris falling from the ceiling. The thick black smoke was choking Marinette as she tried in vain to get to her parents. By the time Tikki managed to convince Marinette that they had to leave, Marinette was severely burned on her arms, legs, and back. As she blindly felt her way to the exit, a now exposed wooden beam in the ceiling, came crashing down, landing on Marinette's legs. With her legs pinned and unable to move, Marinette passed out. Thankfully firefighters had already been called and pulled Marinette from the flames before it was too late. On lookers from the neighborhood watched in horror as the bakery went up in flames. Once the fire was put out and Marinette was sent to the closest hospital, the firefighters went into the apartment and found Tom and Sabine. They had died in their room, unable to get out because of the debris blocking their door.
The next morning, the whole city seemed to be grieving. Tom and Sabine were well loved people in the city and everyone was distraught over the loss. But no one was more distraught than Marinette and her grandparents. Roland and Gina heard about the fire early that morning and were horrified to learn that Tom and Sabine were gone. But their one piece of solace was that Marinette had survived. They both raced to the hospital and comforted their granddaughter. But they had a bigger problem. Both Gina and Roland were getting older, now both in their late 80's. Both of them also had several severe health conditions and likely wouldn't be around for much longer as it is. And then who would take care of Marinette? That is when Gina remembered a story she had heard when she was in England. A story of two boys in the Victorian era who had made deals with demons, and those demons took care of the boys. Soon after, both boys' souls were eaten by their respective demons. As much as Gina and Roland didn't want to leave Marinette, they thought that this was the best thing for her. The only way to know that she would truly be cared for.
That night, after they left the hospital, they summoned the demons the same way as in the story Gina heard. The room became dark with shadow and two voices spoke from the darkness, asking the two elderly people why they had been summoned. "We summoned you to make a deal. Our granddaughter has recently lost her parents and we likely will not be around much longer as it is. We heard stories about how you two cared for two boys in the Victorian era in exchange for their respective souls. In exchange for our souls, we want you to take care of our Marinette. To help her achieve her goals, protect her, and care for her until she dies. Both demons agreed to the deal. After all, they had already cared for children before, so they had the skills to do it, and the souls of these two people who would willingly do this for their granddaughter would be nice to have. With the contract sealed, Gina and Roland wrote in their wills that Marinette was to be cared for by Sebastian and Claude, claiming they were old family friends. They also took the two demons to meet Marinette, so that Marinette would at least meet the two before they began caring for her. Once the legalities were taken care of and Marinette had met the two, Sebastian and Claude took their payment and Gina and Roland died.
Marinette was overcome with the grief of not just losing her parents, but now her grandparents as well. Sebastian and Claude, who her grandparents had recently introduced her to, were declared her guardians and began watching over her. Roland had left Marinette his house, so she had somewhere to live. While Marinette began to settle into the new normal of her life, Sebastian and Claude got to work on the first order of business. They were going to get justice for Marinette's parents. They knew that the fire was not an accident and that someone had set it on purpose. The evidence was obvious, but the police were stuck. They didn't know who did it. But Sebastian and Claude quickly learned that it was a girl named Lila who had been tormenting their charge for years now. All they had to do was phone in an anonymous tip to the police about the girl, and the police searched Lila's apartment. Mrs. Rossi kept sayin this was a mistake and her daughter couldn't have done this, but the police soon found evidence of her involvement, including the accelerant used at the bakery. Lila was confused, sure that she had gotten rid of it all. But Lila was arrested quickly, as a crowd had now grown outside of her apartment building. Several members of Mrs. Bustier's class were there and saw Lila being dragged out in cuffs. As Paris looked on in horror at the arsonist that had killed the Dupain-Chengs, no one noticed the shadow like figures standing to the side, smiling coldly at the scene.
They also quickly figured out that Marinette was Ladybug and even figured out that Adrien was Chat Noir when he came over to check on Marinette. They learned this by sensing the souls of the kwami. Since the kwami's souls are obviously not human, and Marinette kept disappearing during the akuma attacks, it didn't take long for the demons to be sure of their suspicion that Marinette was Ladybug. After confirming this, they felt that defeating Hawkmoth fell under their duty of caring for Marinette so they set out to find out who Hawkmoth was. They were able to sense the souls of other kwami in the city. They sensed two other kwami in Adrien's house. With only two kwami present in the house, they were certain that this was the location of Hawkmoth. To confirm this, Claude used a smaller version of his demon form to enter the manor and watch the residents of the house. Claude soon saw Gabriel and Natalie transform with the missing miraculous. Now that they had confirmation, it was time to end Hawkmoth.
The two demons began to plague Gabriel and Natalie with nightmares and torment them constantly. In each nightmare, they made it abundantly clear that this was because of their actions as Hawkmoth and Mayura. Soon, Gabriel and Natalie could hardly sleep and were almost driven completely mad. They surrendered to Ladybug and the miraculous were recovered. Gabriel and Natalie were sent to prison for their crimes. When Marinette learned why Gabriel had done everything and what happened to Emilie, she used everything she had learned about magic to help revive her. Sebastian and Claude lent some of their power to this endeavor as well, not wanting their charge to exhaust herself in the attempt. Adrien had his mom back, and the two moved to England to get away from all the trouble Gabriel had caused as Hawkmoth.
With all the major problems in Marinette's life taken care of, Marinette could relax a bit and focus on her fashion. While she thought it was odd that her grandparents had left her in Sebastian and Claude's care, she did think they were doing a wonderful job. They helped to support all her dreams, any way they could. Claude once brought her several different rolls of fabric made from spider silk. This of course, renewed the rivalry between the two demons. Sebastian brought Marinette to England, making the excuse that it was to see her friend. While there, Sebastian made sure to 'run into' the descendants of some old friends. Several nobles and aristocrats found a charming man and young girl in front of them at many parties. The man seemed familiar to them all, especially the older guests at these parties. They were sure they had encountered this man before. When asked if they knew him, the Sebastian always responded with "My ancestor worked as a butler for one of your ancestor's peers. He worked in the Phantomhive manor as the butler to Ciel Phantomhive. It truly is a small world for us to meet. May I introduce my charge, Ms. Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Sebastian spent the whole night talking up Marinette's fashion business and Marinette would leave these parties with several more clients than when she arrived.
Claude and Sebastian kept trying to out do each other in their attempts to care for Marinette. Helping her with her designs, getting her fancy fabrics and equipment, even convincing several major fashion magazines to feature her work. As odd as the arrangement was, it did work. Marinette met several new friends, thanks to Sebastian and Claude's interference. She even met the man that she would marry. A man who looked suspiciously like Will, from all those decades ago. As the years went by, even after Marinette was an adult and didn't need caretakers anymore, Sebastian and Claude continued to watch over and protect her, as per their contract. And they would watch over her, for the rest of her life.

Be Broken or be Brave 💌
Warning: angst, there is mentions of verbal and physical abuse, also child neglect.
A/N:This is my very first The witcher fic and my spelling is atrocious so sorry about that. I hope you enjoy! :)
Summary: Jaskier comes from a wealthy family who arranged a marriage with someone whom he isn’t in love with. Instead he is in love with his friend who is of lower class. These two have been together secretly for a while but they cannot let his family know. Jaskier being the youngest of five kids (all boys may I add) tends to get bullied by his brothers about his lanky looks. Compared to his brothers they who were more muscularly built and has very defined features, everyone seems to think they are more attractive. Because he got the short straw of the bunch his parents think he will never find love thus arranging this marriage. They even throw him a huge party to announce the engagement.  He always knew it more to spite him and to show their accomplishment of finding someone who would want to be with Jaskier.
Tumblr media
He knew what his parents were doing, setting up this big fancy ball just so he can announce an unwanted marriage, with a person who he did not love, to people who he really didn’t care about. The only person that mattered to him was the girl who was standing within the crowd intently staring at him with a small smile tugged at her lips. She looked absolutely jaw dropping gorgeous tonight. Wearing a simple dress that accents her beauty rather than drown her in fancy beading and embroidery.
She was not of the same social class as the rest of the people in the room, and just being friends with her, made Jaskier’s family scrunch their snotty uptight faces up in disgust. But that never stopped you two from being friends, in fact it brought you two even closer. So close that the both of you were secretly in love, and have been for a number of years, constantly sneaking off to be with your forbidden lover. Your parents unlike Jaskier’s actually adored him and saw him as a son. Being with your family actually showed him what it was like to be loved. Not like some castaway like his family made him feel.
From a young age his parents made it known to him that he was a mistake, a product of accidental conception and knowingly allowed his four older brothers to torture him both verbally and physically. How many days he had to escape and limp his way to your house for aid because Charles punched him too hard leaving a huge black bruise on his ribs or Martin telling the whole school that he was a late bloomer and hadn’t lost his virginity yet (which you know from a fact is not true.) The worst he’s ever told you was when Sebastian and Emiel pinned him down on to the bed and suffocated him to near death with a pillow. All this was slid under the carpet by their parents, hell you come to think that they’d even encourage it at times. He was always told that he’d never find love and he’d have to depend on them on fining a suitor for him. Which led to this very day at the ball. When you walked into the room and the Viscountess saw you, she immediately chuckles sticking her nose in the air and whispered insults about how you were more dressed to be in the peasants quarters rather than her sons engagement ball.
Once he escaped the grasp of his parents who were introducing him to loads of people he would never remember the names of, he makes his way over you, his smile growing wider with every step. “you look beautiful my love.” He whispered as he took your hand and spun you around. You thanked him laughing as this was a common thing he did when complementing you. “Words can’t fathom how much I want to kiss those lips of yours right now.” He whined.
“I know my love, I do too, but we can’t you know that.” He lets out another whine.
“one day I’m going to have you all to myself with no family, random people, or fake wife. Just us two by the coast, having luncheons on the beach as I try to teach you how to play the lute.”
“And get frustrated because I can’t get my fingers to stay in the right positions but all in all we laugh it off like the other hundred times you tied to teach me. Maybe you’ll have luck with our kids?”
“Of course I’ll have luck with them they are my kids after all. I’ll teach them everything from how to play the lute, singing, songwriting. They’re going to be amazing”
You laugh again. “yes well create the cutest musical geniuses that the continent has ever seen”you’ve always loved how he’s talked about your future together it melted  your heart. “How I want that life right now.”
He sighs “I know my beloved we’ll have it soon enough.” He pulls you into a quick hug planting an ever so needed kiss onto your neck. There was a sudden tapping on a glass that caught everyone’s attention.
“It is now time for my son to make the all awaited announcement .” The viscount said. Julien let out a sigh of frustration before turning back to you.
“Soon we’ll have our paradise my love but for now I gotta go.” You gave him an assuring nod. He walks up to his father standing next to him. You pushed through the crowd to get a clear view n the front.
“I Julian Alfred Pankratz will not take Lizanne Waldtraut to be my wife. I Instead would like to ask y/n to take her place.” You look at him with shock.
"Mother, father you can disown me how ever you’d like, but I will not take anymore torment  from this family on who you want me to be. Instead I will decide my future for who I am.  I know where my heart belongs and that’s with y/n, she makes me feel  more loved than this family ever did. Unlike you she encourages me to challenge myself. What do you do? You bring me down and say I’ll never live up to my goals. That I’m practically worthless compared to my brothers and that you have to choose a career for me because I’ll never get anywhere in life with the career of music."
"Julian” you pause tears in your eyes. He turns back to you and spoke softly so no one but you could hear.
“My love I want to spend the rest of my life with you. We don’t need any of my families blood money. We can find a little cottage in a nice village on the coast close enough for your family to come visit. Just like we always dreamt of”
“How would we pay fo…” He cuts you off taking your hands and squeezing then assuringly.
“We can use the money I’ve been saving up from gigs I’ve played.”
You sniffle a bit and he smiles wiping away some tears. “Are you sure? You’ve worked so hard for that money”
“I haven’t been sure about a lot of things in my 18 years of life but this.” He gestures to the both of you “what we have is special. You mean so much to me and I want to make you feel the same even if it takes the rest of my life.”
“You already do my love. Every day I get to spend with you is a blessing.””
“Will you y/f/n of Redania do me the godly honor and be my wife?” He gets down on one knee and opens the small wooden box that held his grandmothers ring. His mother lets out a ghastly gasp.
“How did you get your grandmother’s ring! That was supposed to be saved for Sebastian’s proposal, not yours!”
“Grandmother personally gave it to me. It was her dying wish to see this family heirloom to go to the right person.” he paused. “You know she was the only one in this family that saw how bad you treated me compared to my siblings. She said that she doesn’t understand what she did wrong to raise such an entitled bitch like you.” She gasped agin this time whipping her hand across his cheek causing the guests around you to be flabbergasted. Julians hand came up to rub the hot aching skin.
“Get your grimy little paws off this ring.” She snatched it out of his hands handing it to her husband. “This was never meant for you. And to think I decided to keep you. You were a mistake and I should have gotten rid of you the second I found out I was pregnant with you. You abomination of a child of course you’d fall in love with a peasant like her. You two were made for each other. Leave the both of you I never want to see either of you ever again!” She signaled for the guards to come. Before they could take you held out your hand stopped them from touching you. You had no words to explain how furious you were with this family. The fact that no one had stopped her from saying those horrid things made you think that everyone who attended the gathering should rot in hell. These people who Julian had thought were his friends who he had grown up with just allowed her to say that with not a care in the world. Fake, false, arrogant rats was all that ran through your head as you walked up to the viscountess and threw a punch with force that you didn’t know you had. Blood runs down her chin, your vision was blurred, the punch felt too good, anger and the need for revenged pumped through your veins as you lift your hand again but this time you were stoped by the guards who grabbed your arms and dragged you out of the ballroom while you screamed profanities at them. Julian following closely behind. The doors of the manor slammed as you and Julian stood outside of what used to be his home. Looking over at him he looked almost unfazed about what happened.
“Julian I’m so sorry you had to go through that.”
“No, no it’s okay my love. I’ve developed quite the thick skin dealing with there bullshit for years.” He tried to hide the pain and sadness in his voice. You knew that was a lie. He was always more of the sensitive type that always took criticism and harsh swords to heart. Usually you knew how to make him feel better but in this situation you just feel lost.  “ honestly I expected the mass humiliation from her but definitely not the punch. Not gonna lie it was kind of hot” you let out a small laugh.
“Yeah well all I could see was red. How dare she do that to someone.” You sadly look down tears running down your face when you remembered the gorgeous ring he had briefly given to you. “The ring Julian I’m so sorry about the ring. That demon spawn took the only thing left that you had left of your grandmother.” You looked up at him with sad eyes. Surprisingly he had a look of content on his face.
“She didn’t get anything. I had a cheep exact replica made. I have the real one right here to fulfill my grandmother’s doting wish” he pulled out a small wooden box with beautiful engravings on it while getting down on one knee. “I’m not going to say anything else to delay this any longer than it already has. Y/f/n will you marry me?”
You break down crying nodding like a mad man. “Yes. I will marry you Julian”
“Good because I can’t wait to make you my wife.” He kisses you pulling away to look you in the eyes. “Now let’s go show your family.” You both walk away from the manor mot looking back. He wraps an arm around your shoulders and you intertwined your fingers. He pecks your temple before raising his free arm up and said. “Im free!”

Melinda with baby Sebastian?
this wasn’t supposed to get so long…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demon families are rare as anything, and almost exclusively one-parent affairs.
This is true for MELINDA Michaelis and her son, who has taken on no real name because he’s too young to make a contract with someone who would name him. (Maybe when he’s a little older. He’s got to learn sometime; perhaps another year or two will see him making and fulfilling quick, simple contracts so he doesn’t have to wrestle his food away from Reapers trying to fill their quotas.)
Affectionately, Melinda has been calling her son by a nickname ― CORVUS,a simple moniker fashioned from his heritage, meant to identify him from other demon children they might come across and to make it clear when she’s speaking to him. It’s something she can call in a sharp tone to warn him away from something, or say firmly while scolding him, or coo in a dark lullaby as the two of them lie in a makeshift nest.
To her displeasure, her child has been growing increasingly inquisitive lately, especially about the world outside the two of them.
He asks about his father, only to be told that his father wanted nothing to do with him, which is the truth, as far as Melinda is concerned. The raven she mated with wasn’t the slightest bit interested in the fact that their tryst might produce children, and in fact it would have been unusual had he stayed with her long enough to even find out whether or not he had sired a child. She’s glad not to have him around. His too-soft nature would have tainted the way she’s teaching Corvus how to survive.
He asks about the Reapers, curious as to why the two of them can’t just ask to take one of their souls for a meal. “Surely they have so many,” he says, “they could spare one for us to split?” This is perhaps the most frustrating thing he wonders. If he doesn’t understand why a Reaper collects souls, why they wouldn’t give one up to a hungry demon, then she hasn’t imparted into him wisdom yet. He’s nowhere near an adult, but he also isn’t a clueless infant, and he ought to know the answer.
He asks about angels, to tell her that he saw someone dressed entirely in white, that this woman emanated a cloyingly sweet smell accompanied by a bright golden aura that glowed at her fingertips. He tells his mother that the angel smiled at him and called him a poor lowly thing and that her touch was painful on his scalp when she tousled his hair. That is the incident which prompts Melinda to keep a much closer eye on her son; how dare an angel think they can show such blatant disrespect to a being who is easily ten times as strong as they are?
What disturbs her most of all is his apparent fascination with humans. He’s been watching them a lot recently, and he mimics their actions as if he thinks he’s one of them.
Case in point, as they walk past the shops today, Corvus pauses and tugs his mother’s hand. “Mum, may I have a piece of candy?”
“No, you may not,” Melinda huffs as she yanks him past the windows. Whatever human designed these to appeal to a child’s desires, she’s going to find then and consume their soul, because evidently it also works on demon children. “Sweets are for humans. They’ll coat your soul with sugar. Do you want a sugar-coated soul, Corvus?”
The disappointed look on his face suggests that he doesn’t really care about that, but he doesn’t dare argue with his mother. “No.”
“And if I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a thousand times. You call me Mother,” she adds. “Mum makes you sound like one of those hideous East End urchins.”
“Yes, Mother.” Though clearly not happy about it, he marches along behind her, unsure of where they’re going.
As far as Melinda is concerned, she’d rather not be inside the town’s confines at all. Thankfully, she only needs to be here long enough to locate a suitable soul for their next meal. It should last the two of them a full week if she finds one that’s tormented enough. So she drags her song along behind her, eyes darting anywhere and everywhere as she searches.
After a few minutes of walking, Corvus speaks up again. “Mother, when am I going to learn how to make contracts?”
She doesn’t even spare him a glance. Her tracking has picked up a whiff of a soul that seems absolutely perfect and she needs to stay focused. “Why?”
“Because… you always get our food. I want to be able to help you… because you’re my mother and I love you. You always do everything, so…” He’s started to sound a bit unsure, then follows through with finishing his sentence. “― So I should do something. You deserve a rest.”
“Do I?” Melinda takes a turn, targeting the soul inside of a rather unattractive young man down a particularly empty street. “Perhaps you’ll be ready soon.”
When he next speaks, there’s a tinge of excitement in his voice. “How soon? Tomorrow?”
She snorts softly, and pushes against the side of a building. Such a naive little boy she has on her hands. Maybe she can use that and turn it into actual skill. “In a few weeks, perhaps.”
“So I can hunt like you?”
“Hunt? No.” Her eyes are locked on the soul, making sure he never gets out of her sight. “Only the strongest demons hunt and fight for their souls. You are only a child, and very weak.”
“But Mother, I’m not―”
She holds up a hand, long nails shimmering in front of her child’s face. “Hush, Corvus. Children are weak, even demons like you. In time, you might become strong enough to handle some weak Reapers and hunt occasionally. For now, you must stick to forming contracts in exchange for a soul. Once a contract has been made, it is spiritually binding and Reapers cannot interfere. It’s the safest way to get your meal for someone who is weak.”
Her son takes a deep breath in, then exhales it in a sigh. “I suppose, if it’s how I can help you.”
“Very good, my darling boy.” Melinda shifts her hand to set on top of his head, combing through his dark locks. As she does, it occurs to her that his hair is getting long. She’ll have to take care of that later.
“Now, you just stay put while Mother fetches dinner.”
The child bows his head. “Yes, Mother.”

Do you have any headcanons about the childhoods of the GMS boys? I love your blog by the way, and GMS, and it's good to know I'm not alone in loving this game so much!
I may like this game too much lol so a mix of what I think it would be like plus what we already know.  Though this is mostly my incoherent thoughts as I feel out who they could’ve been when they were younger:
Sherlock Holmes & Mycroft Holmes
Raised by their parents in a very quiet town, a good deal of distance between them and their neighbors, good thing too with the curious mind of Sherlock getting himself in trouble often
Mycroft would charm any adult and could act properly right away even if he was just in the middle of tormenting and scaring Sherlock
Sherlock most likely had a favorite stuffed animal at some point, but didn’t anymore after it ‘ran away’
Mycroft stole it
Babysitting was more of a game of chess with Sherlock trying to set traps for his brother and Mycroft easily stepping around them
Their parents loved their children and encouraged them, no matter how much they may or may not have understood it
John Watson
Opposite problem of Sherlock’s, he followed his older brother around
A pretty sensitive kid growing up and got spooked easily
But would stand up for the other kids if need be
Would comfort the younger kids while in a haunted house attraction through chittering teeth
Had various collections, sometimes he collected rocks, sometimes cards, his attention never being able to focus on one thing at a time
James Moriarty
Raised as an only child (I’m still on the fence about the brother bit or not)
Was a very mischievous and easily bored child
Would send messages to his parents asking for things, and getting them very quickly, which did not sate his boredom
After the event with his nanny he would run away often, go on little adventures
Go breaking into places and lying about who he was to see what he could get away with
Was certain there were secret passage ways hidden throughout his large home and was dead certain on finding them
Sebastian Moran
Slept only during the day and in well hidden spaces, before and after he left home
Was considered homeless even though he could’ve slept at home, though he mostly just kept a small hiding spot in the vent in his room that he would sneak into at nights
Was hungry often enough that he found it hard to keep rich and heavy foods down when he got them from James because it upset his stomach
May have been unofficially adopted by James after some point, he’s not sure when.  Coaxed into the house over time
Still hid when he slept even after he started spending more time at the Moriarty estate
He still has a stuffed animal that his mother gave him during some of her better times.
Jack Stillman
He doesn’t want to talk about his mother.
It’s been theorized that Jack the ripper didn’t like prostitutes because his mother was one and was abusive while he had an absentee father figure in his life
I accept this as Jack Stillman’s fate
Learned to be charming to avoid trying ire from anyone who might see him as he snuck away from his home to avoid his mother
Started his ripping phase with a pair of scissors as a mannequin and never stopped
Found odds and end jobs even as a young kid to save up money to get out of the situation he was in.  Most of the time it was pet or house sitting cause he was a trustworthy lad, so gentle.
Hercule Poirot
I will choose to believe the theory that Hercule was an orphan.
Raised by nuns and was very close to one of his ‘sisters’ there, and still talks to her on the occasion, she dedicated herself to being a nun
He spent a lot of his childhood being teased because he had to have things a certain way.
Although I know nuns can have a bad rap, I like to think they were the ones who helped him learn how calm down whenever he would have a bad panic attack of germs or things not being just so
Made a name for himself among the children there as the one to go to when they needed to settle an argument.
Jeremy Cassel
They were not suffering but they weren’t exactly well off
He did a lot of work and did a lot of jobs to help bring in money for the family as a whole
Did a lot of things he would not be exactly proud to talk about today
But he did charm plenty of people who would be temporary mentors for him, helping him a little whenever they were in town
Most likely the second oldest from a relatively large family, still checking in on his siblings, and often helping out his eldest who makes the same bad mistakes as his parents and often struggling to keep by though too proud to really ask for help without working for it.
Had a little hide away spot to keep gifts he got, not because he was afraid to lose them, but because he wanted to feel more sure about their location
George Lestrade
A conventional happy family
Was left behind a lot with his group of friends, though I highly doubt he noticed it
Tagged along with his siblings often
Offered to go on errands with his parents to get out of the house a lot
Was hard to keep in one spot and he was constantly looking around
Not the bravest of kids, though the most curious, was the first to leave when things got scary
Brought home pets and tried to hide them, though his parents and siblings knew and would take care of this one too until they found out who the actual owners were and then had George bring them back
Henry Jekyll & Edward Hyde
(I do prefer @cinnamonteaandbiscuits‘s thoughts on their childhood)
They lived a quiet life
Henry’s mother insisting on them taking vitamins and being even more watchful over Henry than Edward due to Henry’s father’s health.
Edward and Henry would take turns telling each other bedtime stories
Edward would get into places that they were not entirely certain how he managed that (a Houdini like toddler)
They would never confess when their parents asked them who did what, such as sneaking a cookie
Anything that was Edward’s favorite anything, blanket, stuffed animal, what have you, was Henry’s first that he gave to him.  Though Henry will never remind him, and Edward doesn’t remember.

Would you ever want someone to play Alistair for you? (Also could you talk more about Ali and Sebastian when they were younger?)
I think I would if we spoke about it and like talked about the direction they would want to take him.  Like if they understood him and felt fine asking me any questions on his past, why not! I think he could be a great character and I would love interactions between him and Seb, I just sadly never have the muse for dear old Ali!
For their childhood, I’ll pop that under a read more incase it gets long (chances are it defo will!)
Okay so growing up their childhood was a life of luxury, their parents were very respected wizard who came from old money. They’re family line was nowhere near as old as the Black’s, but they’re only a century off. Their parents were very distant growing up and the parents relied on the help of their aunt Dottie, a person who Sebastian despised but Alistair adored. This woman shaped their childhood immensely. She completely dotted on Alistair, giving him everything he could ever want and sheltered him from a lot growing up. She responded to his creative side and encouraged his more sensitive and shy nature. If he was more reserved, Dottie never saw it as a bad thing. Under her watchful eye, he grew up into a polite and well respected boy, however he was completely unable to fight his own battles. Any altercations he faced, Dottie was there to end them. In school, if a child bullied him, Dottie would ensure the child was moved from that class an were unable to speak to him.
All his life Alistair was a walking target for bullies, the main one growing up was his younger brother Sebastian. There was only one school year between the two and the pair often thought for the little attention they received from their parents.  The only difference was Sebastian thought negative attention was better than none and so would monopolise all the attention from their parents. Alistair growing up was quite but happy. He enjoyed his own company and found himself lost in the world of art and creating moving images.Alistair didn’t have a lot of friends growing up, but the few he had were incredibly close and protective.
Sebastian on the other hand was a complete shit growing up. He spent all the time in primary school acting out and that didn’t change when he got to Hogwarts. He would often be in and out of detention his entire school life and at home he was constantly grounded. He inherited his mother’s smart mouth and both of his parents temper. He was basically a nightmare child. He would relentlessly torment his brother if that meant he was the centre of attention. His least favourite person was aunt Dottie, she never gave his bad behaviour any attention and he thought she was a weak human being.
However, when he got to Hogwarts Alistair’s and Sebastian’s relationship quickly changed. Seb heard the way the others were talking about his brother, calling him weak and pathetic and at the start he agreed. Over time the insults increased and Seb actually noticed the inner strength Ali had to blindly ignore that and continue to see the good in him. So, if he wasn't going to fight his own battles, then Seb had to do it for him. Sebastian became increasingly more and more protective, getting into more and more fights until people got the message to leave his brother alone. Now many people get Sebastian confused as the older brother.
