Luzu: Yeah, you know, I told people that I would happily make some dictionaries so that you guys have expressions to use, like you can have a book in your inventory that you open to have like basic Spanish stuff, I'm gonna mess his one, like his -
Phil: Oh yes, please.
Luzu: - book up, and I'm gonna make all like, have no meaning.
Phil: Please give him like, a - a silly book, a - give him a silly one.
Luzu: Yeah. How do I pronounce his name, Wilbur, or Wilb? Or Wil?
Phil: You got it right the first time! Yup, it's Wilbur.
Luzu: Oh yeah? Alright.
Phil: Yup yup! Or just Wil. Either - either works.
Luzu: I wanna have to find a way to, yeah, have a cold revenge. Like, he - he may be laughing today, and, "heehee, haha!" we did like this small joke, and in 20 days I'm gonna destroy everything that he loves in this server.
I just got a sudden influx of comments over the last few days on my Baby Hotline (snapshot au part 4) animatic that were telling me how this song is actually really dark and sad
Like yes?? I am very aware?? I *was* aware back in 2020 when I made the animatic? I chose the song for a reason??
But I have no idea why a bunch of people are suddenly commenting / why it’s suddenly being recommended to more people after nearly 4 years??
If you do an Astarion painting I'm gonna evaporator /pos
Y'know what... It's kinda crazy, cuz I've literally been an Astarion stan since the beta, I'm collecting edits of him like it's pokemon cards too, but I just haven't talked about him on here at all lmao
I will definitely draw him, I guess I'm just gonna throw that out there; there might be a couple of pieces of him sprinkled in amongst everything else down the line. Thank you for the suggestion though, I've mentioned before how I feel pretty bad about drawing stuff from lots of fandoms at the same time, but idk, this time it does feel a little different ❤️
just an fyi, and it feels like it needs to be said here: your blog is your own space and you should be able to say whatever the fuck you want. if you’re sad? vent. get sad. maybe put it under a cut, definitely tag it, but get sad. if you feel like you need someone to talk to? drop a freaking message about how you’re feeling like you could use a buddy, or anything randomly engaging. if you’re having a hard time, you should feel safe and okay to talk about it in your own space. we’re writers and we’re people and while there’s a lot to be said for how engagement outside of oneself is necessary in rp (and really really needs to improve), i think there’s a lot that must be said about people reaching out to others. it’s become so solitary here — the whole ‘reblog from source’ thing when it comes to shit like about and musings is absurd. the whole refusing to like things is ridiculous. yes, curate your space, that’s important, but curating your space into a studio apartment only you live in doesn’t make this a community anymore, it makes it a studio apartment you live in.
just be yourself here. do whatever you want. but i’m always saying: remember you’re not alone, and don’t let yourself feel that way.
at least we now know that neither Marinette or Adrien are aware of him being a senti. after the S3 final we all assumed Adrien knew Rena Rouge and Carapace's identity, because it was so evident: cue Rocketear. after Félix and Kagami's theater kid nonsense we all thought Marinette finally knew Hawkmoth's identity, because how could she not? : cue Confrontation.
almost makes it look like our main characters are not allowed to learn or deduct anything that isn't explicitly spelled out for them
hi sorry still thinking about the awakening trio in birthright and i know people talked about this all the time way back in fates popularity peak but like idk im still thinking about the fact that theres a timeline where owain and severa go back home, having been sent to new world only to be on the wrong side of the conflict for their goal so they didnt even achieve anything meaningful, watched their new friends die in front of them, and had to return home without their literal closest childhood friend of all time because he died on foreign soil without anyone else even knowing his true name. what the fuck man. and then they have to go home, tell all their friends and his parents that hes never coming back. like sure ylisse is at peace but at this point they never will be.
I love how Usagi will have a random encounter with a kindly old woman or a dude and then have someone turn around and tell him they had died a certain time ago
im reading two different books with a main trans male character back to back and i am almost in shock at how jarringly different these portrayals are in terms of quality. (at the risk of ppl getting pissed but i wanna say it anyways, first book was “every heart a doorway” and the book im reading now is “the thirty names of night”) like it helps that the second one im reading was actually written by a nonbinary person and has several things to say about bigotry and being transgender and syrian, but the first one was basically begging for brownie points by constantly having kade experience and recall transphobia at kinda random times that really didnt add anything to the story that we didnt already know, and kade never really gets to talk about his trans experience beyond being misgendered and disowned. and that’s not to say i think the first author is transphobic and got off on his suffering or anything, i think she had good intentions and wanted to talk about bigotry towards kids, nor that no trans man will ever read this book and feel seen by kade and appreciate his character, which i think matters the most at the end of the day, the actual execution just feels clumsy. meanwhile im only one chapter into the second book and it already has more to say about how transphobia affects the main character and how it affects his relationship with teta and they even have an uncomfortable gynecology scene that perfectly captures the dismissiveness and dysphoric interactions but does so with just enough respect and intent that it feels authentic without being exploitative.
kinda drives me up a wall when people go "hey i think x action in a war/combat scenario is inhumane and cruel and shitty" and someone responds with "oh but within the laws of war it's allowed or there's procedure for it etc etc". it doesn't have to be a war crime to be unforgivable man it's a shitty rulebook anyway
