OKAY OKAY SO I MIGHT HAVE A NAME FOR KITTY'S KID!

I'm not married to the idea yet BUT...I like Maisie.

It's a diminuative for Maragret, the name of Kitty's mother. Her memories of her mother are so vivid and cherished and this is a way of letting her live on. She also had a very busy early career so I think it would make sense for her to have a child late, at about age 45. The nurse in scrubs comes into the ward his eyes wide and whispers "Roger Rabbit is here to see you. And he brought his wife!" And Kitty gives this tired-eyed smile completely unfazed and says "Send him in!" And Roger's super dramatic about it because this baby wasn't drawn it was made! So it's extra delicate and precious and wonderful! And he peeks round the door and there's his friend with her husband beaming at her side holding a little bundle and it's so tiny and has hardly any hair and can't even open it's eyes!

"This is Maisie, Roger."

"M-Maisie...l-like daisy?"

"Yes. The doctor says there's no complications. She's been in the world an hour already she's fast asleep."

Roger gives the softest "Jeepers..."

"Would you like to hold her?"

Roger makes a strangled "meep" sound and nods. As he does, Maisie wakes up and yawns touching his face. Kitty says "Yeah Maisie, that's your Uncle Roger."

"U-UNCLE!" Roger hands the baby back to her mother so he can melt into the floorboards and then shoot up in the air like a mini rocket.

Jessica pulls down the blanket gently and coos "Isn't she a darling. Congratulations to you both. I wonder if they'll draw us one."

I'm so sorry this took me so long to get to. But I love this so much!!!

Maisie sounds like the perfect name for Kitty Junior! And Roger and Jessica are so sweet as unkle and aunt ^^

One things for certain. Maisie is going to grow up into an incredible young lady like her mother ^^

anyway dc x dp is my new fixation hell and i've had so many ideas for aus but one that's really sticking with me is a classic "danny has to run away to gotham because his home is no longer safe" au where danny is explicitly looking for other ghosts or at the very least is pulled to gotham because there are so many of them there.

he flies around for a while and finds this manor and he can sense so many nice ghosts! so he just. goes there! and stays! and this can be human danny showing up at their door injured or it can be ghost danny just flying in but regardless, the waynes would never turn him away. bruce would get suspicious absolutely, but he's seen enough traumatized abused kids to know the signs. thomas and martha? they think this new ghost kid is adorable!!

there could be angst sure but idk i love the idea of danny getting hurt by his parents or the giw and being so wary of more humans, and this place full of friendly ghosts would be so enticing. ghosts that don't try to immediately wreck his shit? ghosts that get territorial but are also extremely welcoming and have a habit of letting new kids into their haunt? the batfam who've dealt with the paranormal before and wouldn't give a shit? that's a normal tuesday for them babes. like please, danny just found heaven and it's in gotham.

despite all the "batfam adopts danny" aus i've seen, i rarely see people mention the ghosts of dead family members who would absolutely still be there and would definitely want to help danny :(

i tentatively stopped planning it because he was nice to me and said he loved me unprompted. if things are better by our anniversary ill be okay. if they aren't im not sure im scared. i feel like ill die if it goes badly and then my birthday after that.. ugh.

The way some people talk about Vicky’s writing in comparison to the new team kinda reminds me of how Pokemon Anime fans miss 4kids a lot and swear that if the 4kids dub kept going then the anime would have been infinitely better, and then you see how much of a meme some parts of the original dub were plus different fandoms with 4kids dubs wanted their heads on a stick. And it’s like yeah comparatively the new team is worse and the ogs got a raw deal but lets not get ahead of ourselves- itd still kinda suck

I feel like Reagan Ridley and Linh Cinder would understand each other. They’d be best friends

unrelated to anything at all but as a kid I was soo so appreciative of shows about kids where at least one of them only had 1 parent. I wish every show with parents would add at least one single parent

I do gotta say. It kinda haunts me that I'll never know if my p. grandmother would have accepted me as her grandson or not.
