AYO THE MOMMY ASKS GOT ME IN A FLUFFY MOOD!!

(Tw:pregnancy, labor & delivery)

Ok first things first. You tell him you’re expecting a lil’ baby, he 1) cries. And 2) panics because he doesn’t know if he’ll be a good father and 3) ultra panics because he deals with bioweapons, mutant causing viruses and other biological nightmares, what if that shit passes onto his kid???

Dude is WIRED for weeks until he finds out that the baby is healthy. No weird biological mutations at all. Just a baby. (Side note, kinda sad, he misses the first ultrasound photo because of a mission and probably cries)

When you start showing a baby bump, he absolutely gets thrown in love all over again. He always loves his s/o but something about seeing them round with HIS baby just flips a switch in his head.

First time he feels baby kick? He’s amazed. He’s never felt anything like it. He’ll start kissing your baby bump and probably crying. (I can imagine he cries a lot during your pregnancy. Probably more emotional than you tbh)

When you go into labor, he does a good job at pretending to be calm. He’s internally screaming, panicking and feels sick the entire time, but he doesn’t show it. He holds your hand and lets you squeeze it as much as you need. The dudes been shot, stabbed and smacked by monsters, he probably doesn’t even feel it if you crack a finger.

When he hears his babies first cries, he lets out the shakiest, sob and laugh ever. It’s a noise of relief, pent up fear, and happiness all at once. The sight of the baby getting put on your chest is permanently seared into his mind. I’m talking core memory.

And when he gets to hold his baby, another core memory is created. Seeing their lil nose. Their lil face. Hearing their lil cries. Again, he cries too.

Leon demands paternity. At least a month to be with his s/o and child. What’s the government gonna do? Fire him? He’s one of their, if not, THE best agent they got. They fire him, they’re down a fucking legend.

I’m gonna say, I feel like Leon is so….in a honeymoon phase, he completely disregards himself for you and the baby. You need to sleep and heal after giving birth, so Leon takes 100% care of the baby until you’re physically able to. The problem? He forgets to sleep at all, and damn near passes out after like, day 4.

He catches himself, so the baby ain’t hurt, but the dumbass at first goes “man….i need to sit down. Maybe get some water” but the moment he sits down he clocks the fuck out.

The baby cries and he wakes up again, but this time, it’s you holding the baby, cooing and soothing them. The sight alone makes him emotional again.

I just have a lot of feelings about dad Leon.

AWEE YES DAD LEON THOUGHTS! I know you sent me this a little while ago but I still wanted to answer because I absolutely love thinking about Leon becoming a father and how devoted and protective he becomes. Bye, I'm going to cry.

Leon gives me the impression that he will be anxious throughout his partner's pregnancy. He'll become more overprotective if he isn't already, and the hovering habits will start to show very early on. He'll be attentive to your needs, but will almost smother you out of concern. Asking about whether or not you took your vitamins, if you slept enough, if you needed something from the store, if your cravings were satisfied.

Sometimes it does annoy you, but it's really just the influx of hormones pumping through your body. You reassure him constantly, reminding him that he's a good partner and he's doing enough, and you know his worrying is a good thing because it means he cares that much.

I also see him wanting to be nearby constantly, like a shadow, and Leon is just always there. He doesn't let you do any of the labor at home, he wants you to focus on sleeping, eating well, and being healthy. The last thing he needs is for you to be stressed out or unhappy because he knows that isn't good for the baby, and he also doesn't want to piss you off because he's been warned about how cranky a pregnancy can make someone. He does the laundry, cooks, cleans, helps you out with your nesting and always has a reassuring hand somewhere on your body, mostly on your lower back.

He's there at every appointment no matter what, he's not missing it for a second. But if it's really a hassle and he has to go on a mission, which you support and fully understand, he'll tell Hunnigan to keep a close eye on you or for a close friend to go with you during your appointment. He just wants to make sure you're not entirely alone.

Once your belly expands and his T-shirts no longer cover most of your body, Leon is all over you. There's something about seeing you so full, waddling into the kitchen and looking into the fridge for a snack that makes him smile and happy. He's also the type to always want to have a hand on your belly, even in his sleep, and likes to run his thumb over the dark line that goes all the way down your abdomen. I like having this headcanon that whenever the baby moves too much and is kind of giving you a hard time, he puts a soft hand over your stomach and gently talks to them until they calm down. Leon has this natural calming presence that is very much needed during your pregnancy, and you tease him about how your baby will be attached to him the moment they're born.

But oh the moment you go into labor? It's all hands on deck. He's been prepping for this, reading books on pregnancy and childbirth, wanting to be your rock in the process but when you tell him your water broke, his mind doesn't work. He'll be the type to say "Don't panic!" as he's panicking and you have to remind him to take the hospital bag he's prepared months in advance.

The birth itself is a harsh and grueling process, but Leon helps you see it all the way through. He does not leave that hospital room, doesn't let the nurses kick him out, and stands his ground as your advocate. You're both scared at the thought of welcoming a whole new life into this world, and he's right next to you, holding your hand and whispering words of encouragement and praise in your ear.

Leon hates seeing you scared, hates seeing you hurt, but it really is all worth it the moment he hears that shriek of a baby's cry fill the room. It's the most beautiful thing he's heard, he doesn't care if the high pitch of the violent scream makes his ears hurt. For the first time in months, he feels like he can breathe again.

Seeing this bundle of joy all wrapped up in a pink blanket and pink beanie makes him cry, that new baby scent he's heard so much about before fills his nose and his chest aches from so much love. He doesn't need to verbally tell you that he's proud of you, that he's happy, that he loves you. It's written all over his face and from the way he can't seem to take his eyes off his daughter, he knows what this different kind of love feels like.

Leon Kennedy is a selfless guy, and every time he glances at his baby, he sometimes sees flashes of Sherry when she was younger or even Ashley when he went to go save her in Spain. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but that same urge to protect this life with every fiber of his being comes in full force.

He thinks he develops a new level of fear and paranoia, taking over damn near every duty that was involved in raising a child. He wants to help you recover, allowing you to get your sleep and your physical strength back as he takes care of your baby girl.

He does everything at the expense of his physical health. He can't sleep most of the time and wants to be ready for when his daughter cries at 2 am until his lack of sleep starts to beat his ass after two weeks. Sure, he's on parental leave to help you out and to bond with his child, but you often find him fast asleep in the rocking chair, neck craned at an awkward angle that will irritate him later on. You come towards him and wake him up, his body jolting awake and ready for whatever threat comes his way until he blinks and sees you.

"Is she okay?", he says groggily, dark circles around his eyes and his hair an unruly mess. It was sweet seeing how the first thing he wondered about when he woke up was his daughter.

"Yeah, she's alright, still asleep. You should go to bed baby, I can watch her", you tried to get it through to Leon that he needs to rest too, not just you and your child.

"I could use a nap", he caves, standing up with a groan and rubbing the back of his neck the way you expected him to. Despite being half asleep, he gives you a sweet kiss on the lips and walks out of the nursey. "Wake me up if you need me", he mumbles before leaving the room entirely.

You don't wake him up, not for a couple of hours at least so the migraine that's pulsing in his head wears off. Leon doesn't care if his body goes on complete shutdown, anything you both need, he'll be there ready to do whatever is necessary to make your family dynamic function.

that person with the ABO true mates thing has the right idea tbh. on a similar note, imagine instead dream is the 3rd child of some important medieval noble family. he's resigned to live a life of boring diplomacy and living in his father's shadow and probably being married off for some political alliance (he is the 2nd son but he's also the 3rd child and imo death is generally a lot more well prepared for anything he might have thrown his way as the "spare" but we already knew that)

but one day dream and some of his family are in the town square, perhaps returning from a long journey. they maybe were off trying to negotiate a deal for dream's hand in marriage, but dream was so miserable about it that the talks were useless and everyones coming home upset. theres a lot of people around and its generally very busy, so it isn't very surprising that dream brushes shoulders with some stranger, but before he gets the chance to tell him off for it since he is still a bratty little prince, he gets thrown into a full blown heat. like, falls to the ground, clawing to get his clothes off because theyre too much, panting because he cant catch his breath type. (i personally am a huge sucker for bottom dream regardless of whether he doms or not, but after seeing an ask about househusband/alpha!hob i really cant get the idea of dom bottom omega dream and service top submissive alpha hob out of my head)

anyway, he gets back home just fine to wait out his heat, and as soon as he's done he's hell bent on finding whoever it was that sent him into that. night would probably want him to go find whoever it was (thinking of night in overture making a whole pocket dimension for dream and a lover), but maybe time would want to still get a political alliance out of this. he ends up doing some cinderella type thing to find hob back and he's so in love he conveniently ignores that hob is a mercenary/thief/sword for hire/bounty hunter/whatever and has probably most definitely also stolen from dreams family before. besides, who cares about a little bit of money when you can order your new alpha mate to fuck you halfway to hell and back? all im gonna say is they have NOTHING to worry about when it comes to heirs

I see submissive alpha hob? I go feral. Literally this whole thing is GOLD.

I’m imagining after his heat, Dream uses his status (maybe with Night’s help if she’s in a good mood) to summon all the unmated alphas in town to his family’s home, and has them all walk past him while he smells every single one. Hob literally only showed up for the opportunity to steal some stuff from the place, so imagine his shock when little lordling Dream pounces on him and declares that they are true mates!! Hob obviously isn’t mad about it because Dream is the prettiest little darling he’s ever seen… he’s also an absolute terror, spends half his time snarling and the other half sulking. Hob loves it, loves him within about an hour (especially when Dream drags him off and takes his knot in a store cupboard - they’re not even married! the scandal is delicious!).

Dream is insatiable, but Hob is more than able to keep up. Hob doesn’t give a shit about manners or being respectable, and he’ll gladly join Dream in skipping out on diplomatic dinners and other dull things. The “honeymoon phase” doesn’t show any sign of stopping after a year of being mated - Dream rarely shows his face outside of their bedroom before noon, because he’s busy. It’s a good thing that Hob has access to high quality food now, because otherwise he’d be dropping a lot of weight with all the strenuous activity Dream expects from him.

Dream’s family aren’t best pleased with the match, but even they can’t stand in the way of true mates, and Dream is only the third child so it isn’t the end of the world. At least Hob keeps Dream out of trouble and full of pups.

anyone who makes a big deal of the whole pedrigavi not being inseparable thing anymore probably isn’t very mature/is rly young tbh like that’s why i try and have patience with it. because it’s so obvious to me they just had a honeymoon friendship phase or whatever where they prob got along really well immediately and just clinged bc u do that w new friends!! but the longer u know someone u jusr dont feel the need to do that lol, also i’ve said this before but we don’t know if they text all the time hangout etc etc like we don’t know them. there’s no use in worrying ab it like 😭 not to mention we’ve gotten So many cute things of them this season that people just ignore for some reason like them both commenting on those 90’s posts of eachother was hilarious but yeah i’m Sureeee they hate eachother now….anyway i’ve Also said this before but pedri has also had periods where he’s not attached to ferran’s hip or even ansus hip (they’re pretty good friends like everyone forgets this!) and no one has a huge reaction to it it’s just sooooo… i wish ppl would leave my boys alone and stop “mourning” the “death” of a relationship (of two guys who are still friends) it’s so weird. everytime they interact now people are strange about it like THEYRE CUTE! let them be

It actually makes me nervous that they do everything together 😭

I feel like they’ve been able to remain in the honeymoon phase for so long because they’ve always had to be away from each other constantly throughout their relationship. Missing your partner causes all those feelings of excitement of seeing them again. I just hope that aspect doesn’t change now that they’re permanently living together, working together and most likely going to be on the same club team together. They’re going from a typical LDR relationship to spending every moment together. I think I’m just still traumatized from Shannon and Cammie’s breakup tbh 😂

okay but does it actually change our predictions for the two? genuinely asking because we said it yesterday that despite what dm said they’re likely still together so this isn’t all that surprising + i still think it won’t go past her usual threshold for relationships tbh

it doesn’t change my outlook no. Because we didn’t think that they had broken up. If they had broken up, she would’ve said they broke up. All she said was they’ve cooled off which made me think that maybe it’s just beginning to get out of the honeymoon, phase and more into real life.

I would agree I don’t think it’s gonna last forever, if you feel like it’ll probably follow her MO or it’ll follow cuffing season

Kurt, I think would use a LOT of German and very affectionate pet names - ALMOST to the point of saccharine, but I think the fact that Hank's German is on point would stop it from getting too cloying and they'd just start flirting and being playful with one another.

Alex..may I ask for some advice?

I’ve been dating someone for about 6 months now, at the beginning of the relationship it was great..we spoke quite often, went out a fair bit, good morning texts etc the whole scheme that you expect during the honeymoon phase.

Now it’s like..im talking to a brick wall. they will say that they love me but some days we wont speak at all (which i understand is normal btw just one change i noticed), they’ll only text me late at night, say things like its no big deal that i havent seen them for over a month. I said i was upset at the idea of not seeing them for a month but i understood that they had other things to do. At one point I was stressed and busy and I did push them away a bit because I wasnt sleeping for days on end I didnt have anything to talk about. i’ve asked repeatedly if I’ve done something wrong to warrant this “cold” front but they keep saying we’re cool and that nothing’s wrong and that they love me.

idk whether i’m just making a big deal of things. but i don’t understand this change. its weird because i’ve never felt this way before, it’s a pain that hurts my heart. I’ve cried so much trying to understand and saying that its ok to give it time and maybe they’ll go back to normal. i really dont know tbh, my heart aches because it doesn’t seem like they care anymore. I dont want to leave them because truthfully they’re my first love and it took so long to find someone that I fear i might not find someone else. i dont think i want to find someone else either.

Unfortunately, we do have to run under the assumption that they are telling the truth about what they say. If you've encouraged them to open up about what is bothering them or going on, and they say nothing, we have to assume that is correct, as we can't force people to open up past what they're comfortable doing, especially if they are telling the truth. So, because of that, I would wonder if this is just what love looks like for them. If everything is okay and they think you two are are fine, it could be that they don't realize they need to keep putting in that effort. A LOT of people will put in more than they usually would for the first little bit of a relationship. Not in a manipulative way, but just because it is what is expected! But once they are truly in love with you, and feel secure in the connection, they pull away because they recognize that they can be their true self now. They have faith that you aren't going to leave, so they can relax. We all have different romantic needs, and different attachment styles, so it could be very likely that this is just their way of feeling loved. They may just genuinely not require the same things you do.

However, that doesn't mean you have to suffer and feel unloved. I know you said you don't want to break up, which is very valid, but please know you CAN find someone else with similar needs to you. If you would rather stay with this person though (which is very understandable! I would too!!) you need to have a talk. Let them know how serious this is for you. How the way they pulled away makes you feel. Let them know exactly what you told me. And ask them how they feel about what you said. It isn't an easy talk to have, but it will hopefully help some!

During our rough patch (which tbh we are still going through) I at one point had told Jayson "I am going to have to leave if this behaviour doesn't change." I told him straight up that whatever it was he was doing made me feeling unloved & like he didn't appreciate me anymore, and I could not stay in a relationship where I was feeling that way all the time. I didn't say he had to fix the behaviour immediately, but explained that I did need to see some improvement, or at least have him acknowledge me in those moments. It's scary, but sometimes we have to phrase it like that, so they understand how serious we are.
