How do monsters age? Also how old are the brothers?
~ Sincerely, a very Library Anon ~
Hello! Thanks for the ask, and also sorry for you, my friend, who’s about to have pages of me rambling about my thoughts and headcanons that may or may not be entirely supported by the game for a socially unacceptable amount of time <3
HOW MONSTERS AGE
I’ve actually had multiple different headcanons when it comes to monster age! They all go into three different categories: “all monsters age slower”, “they age the same way (unless they’re a boss monster without a kid)” and “some monsters age like humans, some slower and some quicker depending on species”. But, I now have one that goes into a slightly different category.
Now, I think, “what if their aging is a bit of everything?”
Allow me to explain what I mean.
My first headcanon was that monsters age 10x slower than a human does. Just choose a human age for a character and then tack on a 0 to the end of the number and you’ve got the right age. A part of me still wants to go that route, simply because it’s easier…
… but then, a monster would be a literal child while being 100 years old. It would make it a bit awkward to write about human kids being friends with monster kids lol, ngl. (Also I don’t want to write Sans and Papyrus as being like 250 years old.) Not to mention, it’s a bit boring. So I decided to spice it up a bit, if you will.
Let’s start explaining this by taking a monster with an average mental state who is the most average of species. They’re not suffering from any mental disorders, illnesses, have no trauma or physical ailments and are overall just what you’d call an averagely happy person. There’s nothing special about this monster. They’re literally the most average of average monsters, maybe so average they don’t even actually exist - they are made up by the statistics.
At first, they age quicker than a human does. While they’re what would translate to 5 human years (AKA when they’re 5 monster years), they are actually only 2 human years. At age 10 in monster years, they are 5 in human years. Their aging starts to slow down at 16 monster years, and by the time they’re 25 in monster years, they are also 25 in human years. Then it slows down even more quickly and on a huge scale, so that when they are 50 in monster years, they are about 500 in human years. On average, a normal monster becomes 2000 human years old. (Keep in mind, that this monster is so average they don’t exist - this aging varies a lot between species.)
Now, let’s take another monster of this same statistics-made species who is more happy than the average monster. They’ve experienced many good things, and bad things happening to them are unusual, but not unusual enough to make the happy moments meaningless. They make sure to care of themself and take their own feelings into consideration, they know their own worth. A monster like this may become up to a staggering 4000 human years old with some luck.
Finally, here’s a monster who suffers and just… isn’t happy. They suffer from trauma, have gone through horrible things, overall just not a very good time. They’re very likely to only get to 800 human years or less, if things don’t start looking up for them.
However, these aging mechanics also get more complicated when we get into species of monsters and monsters having children. Gerson, who is a turtle-species, ages about 5x slower than the average monster, which is why he was alive during wartime (though he is near the end of the line now, he’s only maybe 20 years from dying by the end of the game). A whimsun definitely won’t live past 1000 years, even if they’re the happiest whimsun on the planet, because their magic isn’t strong enough to last.
A boss monster (Toriel, Asgore, Asriel) doesn’t age past 30 until they have a child. When/if they have that child, they age at the same speed as the kid does. If the child dies, however, they stop aging again.
Speaking of not aging when their kids die, the same kinda goes for every other monster to a much smaller extent.
A non-boss monster will slow their aging after their kid dies. If they survive losing their kid (because a lot of monsters would dust from the hopelessness they feel after losing somebody so important), their aging slows by about 150%, again depending on the species of the monster.
However, despite their slow aging, monsters are weaker than humans. Too unstable emotions or living in conditions that make the monster feel unsafe may fuck up thair aging, as mentioned previously. To go into more detail about this: the aging process is not messed up by the situation the monster is in - the monster could be in the most horrible position without their aging being affected at all - but it has to do with how their hope is affected.
If a monster loses hope, their aging is affected so it speeds up. If they gain hope, it slows down.
Taking this in mind, let’s talk about the skeleton brothers’ ages!
Let’s start with the Undertale brothers, since they’re the “base” for the ages.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what I think their ages are, but I would say that:
At the time the game takes place, Sans is about 24-28 years old in monster years and Papyrus is about 19-23 in monster years. In human years, Sans is about 23 and Papyrus has recently turned 18. This has to do with their experiences in life.
Sans only has 1 HP. Skeleton monsters are among the groups that age more slowly, which ends up with him aging a tiny bit quicker than the ‘average monster’. This HP is mostly brought on by his clinical depression (which is actually very rare to have for a monster).
Papyrus ages slower than the ‘average monster’. He’s full of HoPe and is one of the most compassionate monsters, which says a lot by the way lol. But, we can’t forget that he literally didn’t have any friends, which did deal a huge blow to his self-confidence even if he won’t admit it. He aged just a little quicker than a skeleton monster should, at the time the game takes place (though this does change in my fics and headcanons right away, all he needs is one (1) friend to age as slowly as he should, or well. Slower, actually).
So, now that I’ve put down the base for what the two brothers are, let’s just straight up say: all the AU brothers are the same age in human years and there’s only small differences for the monster ages. Except for in Horrortale, which takes place later than the base game does.
I can’t say how old they are here, though, not exactly, because it would obviously vary depending on how long we wait to see them after the starvation starts, as horrible as that sounds. All my headcanons are off the basis that they were left in the Underground for about five human years after Frisk left, so let’s just go with that. After five years in the Underground, Dusk (Horrortale Sans) is about 38 in monster years and Aster (Horrortale Papyrus) is about 37 (he caught up quickly to his brother, as the things that happened took a bigger toll on him).
I want to mention, however, that all my headcanons for ages are very loose and not entirely my “final decision” on how I think monsters age lol, and they may change in the future. Anyways, this is what I’m going for as of right now! If you want any clarification feel free to ask :-)

DEAR FISH FUCKERS, YOU’RE WELCOME
I’ve done what no other has done before (to my knowledge) and found the aging system for the Zora!
Ok so this started as simple research for this ask
Tumblr media
See, I misread the phrasing of “best educated guess” to “research for 2 hours and come to a conclusive answer” so anyhow before I indulge you into the answers of the universe allow me to explain the research I’ve come across
[TL;DR at the bottom]
So firstly, we have to look at our conclusive evidence, from which we’ll base our theory/headcanon on, which can mainly be found in the Creating a Champion book, and some dialogue in game. I’ve compiled them all in these bullets here
Zora children are around 20ish years old [as said by dialogue with Finley in her love letter sidequest, I don’t have a screenshot but please just take my word for it]
150ish is considered middle-aged for Zora
Muzu is around 4 centuries old
Curved claws, weathered fins, and worn noses are signs of an older Zora that is more than 3 centuries(ish) old
Tumblr media
Zora that were friends with Link must be around 150ish (not just 100), since you need to also account for the 20+ years of growing from a child stage, to the more normal sized form that you see them in the game, ergo, it’s that age plus the 100 years stasis that we determine the “middle age” of around 150
Tumblr media
150 is the middle age, double that for the average old age of 300 years, but I say it could go to 400 too for additional reasons I’ll explain later with examples with my final age system. Anyhow, Muzu is around 400 if you take the 100 years for actually growing up from childhood, additional 100+ years of holding a different job as I doubt you just straight out hire a councilman without experience, and then another century for where he first started working in in the council, training Mipha, which would overlap with the period of the pre and post Great Calamity and Link’s return, meaning that’s 3 centuries plus 50ish years if we’re being generous with the overlap. This would help line up with the “for over a century” line as that doesn’t quite mean 2 centuries of working in the council, but Muzu is definitely getting up there to 4 centuries for his age alone
Tumblr media
Now, I thought, this was gonna be my breakthrough, this screenshot here, depicting the traits of the older Zora. The elderly Zora are probably around 3 centuries old (since King Dorephan said they were young men around Mipha’s time, 150ish+100 gives us the range of 250-300), so I was like “Oh l can look at the size of their fins and noses and head/tail things and find a more efficient way to find their age” but nOPE. There is very little variation in that ballpark, the Zora either have exaggerated weathered noses or nice and shiny fins and no in between. The size of their head fins are roughly the same, with again, the only exaggerated differences being with the King and Sidon which doesn’t help at all because the Royal Zora already have a bunch of other difference such as their SIZE to name one.
I even went to the part about their curved toes, which initially would line up with some other Zora like Muzu
Tumblr media
And let me tell you
I’ve looked at their toes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is them from a child, a middle-aged, and an elderly. Color doesn’t matter and the curve? Well there’s
BARELY A DIFFERENCE
At least not nearly enough to find an efficient way to find age. Even Muzu’s final model didn’t have the exaggerated curvature as seen in the book.
I looked at their tail tail fins, (not the tail on their head, but their actual small rounded tail fin by their butts) because the book also mentioned how the grown Zora have more pronounced tail fins compared to the kids, but it was the same for the 150s and the 300s sooo not that helpful
So I kept digging. In the book I found that King Dorephan was crowned around 100 years before the game started. In addition I reread the 10 Zora stone monuments and found that he had killed a Guardian with his bare hands and thrown it off a cliff, which he still had a scar from.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[and yes I attempted to find his definitive age by seeing how long it takes for a scar to fade but I gave up cause Zora anatomy is too different to find a conclusive answer]
So I was like, “ok Dorephan had to have been around 150 when he came to the throne, then 50 years later the guardians are excavated giving way to the story about the guardian...” blah blah blahbla I even went to the supposed site where that guardian was, but it all didn’t really give me that much more info than what I already knew. I was researching ways to age the rock monuments from visuals alone which needless to say is pretty impossible, so I gave up on finding Dorephan’s age and I kept digging.
All I wanted was something physical that could properly give way to identifying a Zora’s age was that too much to ask???
Now this is where I had all but given up, it seems that my only answer was this vague note about how their fins move up when they grow
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which, to be fair, held true when I looked at the in-game character models myself, but I can’t exactly pixel measure these things for each Zora.
But THAT’S where the revelation came. I was so focused on finding inconsistencies within the elderly Zora, when I should have been looking at the young baby ones. See, this pictures, literally right next to the page about elderly Zora that I was analyzing for ages, is the key to it all
Tumblr media
Now, I was thinking about the rings on a tree, and certain species of banded fish that grow and discard different markings as they grow older, I even counted the neck rings on certain Zora to see if they did that thing where they add a ring for each birthday like some African and Asian cultures do (look it up, that stuff’s pretty interesting!) and that is where it struck me.
Count how many luminescent markings are on their head
The males have 11, the females have 8  (on the one side, the other side has the same number of dots but for simplicity purposes I’m doing one side)
Now let’s count for these Zoras, who are middle aged-ish
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The male has 10, the female has 7.
Now let’s look at the oldest Zora that we know of
Tumblr media
3 dots above the eye, four on the tail. Muzu that motherfucker has 7 damn dots and I couldn’t be happier.
MY DUDES, GALS, AND PALS THIS IS IT, I’VE CHECKED AND DOUBLE CHECKED WITH NEARLY EVERY ZORA I COULD AND THE NUMBER OF LUMINESCENT MARKINGS ON THEIR HEAD CORRESPONDS WITH THE AMOUNT OF CENTURIES THEY’VE LIVED, LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY      DOWN     TO     THE     DOT
First we have Muzu, who as I’ve preciously stated is around 4 centuries old. 11-4? Oh, it’s seven, and that’s the amount of markings he has? OOoo??
How about this Zora Lady who recognized Link from 100 years ago?
Tumblr media
Seven dots? 8-7 is 1 so shes just over one century which lines up timeline wise. You can even see how the third dot is slowing shrinking on her head so she’s coming up on 2 centuries
Ok how about the elders?
Tumblr media
NINE. 11-9 is 2 centuries, with again, the dot by their head shrinking significantly showing how they’re getting up on 3 centuries.
The part I circled in green there is jewelry, not a marking, however this only goes further to prove my point. What better way to appear youthful than to have jewelry that makes it look like you have more markings than you have, made with luminous stone, no less.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy? Seggin? Super close to 4 centuries, those dots are fading away fast. Count your days old timer
Tumblr media
Random dude that doesn’t recognize Link but is an new apprentice for sculpture making? 10 dots, a fresh 1 century pal, lookin young
I was a feral child running across the Domain screaming people’s ages in their face like a rude, naive, brat, I was elated to say the least. Especially since this system even works on the King himself
Tumblr media
[plus one dot slightly behind the fin here...]
Tumblr media
King Dorephan has 7 dots, he’s 400 years old. Which still lines up timeline wise, especially since he’s similar age with Muzu who he has stated is one of his most trusted advisors, beecaaaaaaaause of the years they’ve spent working together the timelines match uppppppp
This system works for almost all Zora, with 2 exceptions. Guards have helmets that cover their markings, so it’s impossible to tell. In addition, Prince Sidon, has sixteen lights on this hammerhead because he’s fancy like that (we already know he’s canonically 2ish centuries old anyhow from the DLC)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
EDIT: I WAS WRONG THIS WORKS FOR SIDON TOO. The sixteen markings I was referring to was actually the amount of marking on each side of the head total, however if we look at the markings for only one side, like intended
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ten dots, Sidon’s over 100 years old. I’d say he’s closer to 150 given the timeline
Essentially, the most surefire way to find almost any Zora’s age is to identify a male or female Zora, count the number of lights on the side of their head/tail thing, then subtract from 11 if they’re a male, and from 8 for a female. The number left is how many centuries they’ve lived. You can check to see if their markings are shrinking and fading to get a sense if they’re coming up on the next century anytime soon. Comparing this with the oldest Zora we see in game, we can conclusively say that the Zora lifespan is around 3 to 4 centuries since no Zora has been seen with less than seven markings
Now go and make your Zora ocs with your appropriate number of lights. I’m gonna have a cookie

BEST MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR SERVICES IN MCALLEN TX MCALLEN MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: Automotive brakes have a very important function: Get your vehicle to slow down and stop moving. Ensuring that they're in proper shape is important to a driver. Mobile Mechanic of McAllen offers brake inspections & repairs in McAllen TX.
How Do Brakes Work?
Your wheels are bolted to smooth steel discs called rotors, and a heavy caliper encloses part of the rotor. The caliper houses the brake pads, which are lined with a hard semi-metallic or ceramic friction material. When you press the brake pedal, hydraulic pressure forces the pads against the rotor, slowing or stopping the car by friction.
How Often Should I Change My Brake Pads?
The friction material on the pads can last 40-60,000 miles, which can be as long as five years, according to how many miles you drive. When the parts wear so slowly and gradually, it can be hard to tell when the pads have worn to a point where they need service.
Symptoms of Bad Brakes
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: Sometimes it might be a bit difficult to tell when your brakes might need servicing. There are a few tell tale signs that can help you to diagnose brake issues.
These are all signs to watch for: Brake Repair in McAllen TX ● The vehicle has a pronounced pull to one side when braking ● The vehicle has a noticeable pulsation or vibration through brake pedal while braking ● A tendency for one or more wheels to lock up and skid while braking ● Excessive brake pedal travel, i.e. brake pedal goes farther toward floor before brakes engage ● Brake pedal feels “soft” or “spongy” underfoot ● Shimmy through steering wheel while braking ● Squeal, groan or metallic grinding noise while braking.
Of the symptoms mentioned above, the grinding noise is by far the worst. Some brake pads feature a spring steel tab that protrudes from the backing plate and is designed to drag on the rotor when the pads reach a minimum thickness, squealing and alerting the driver. In other cases, it can mean that the pads are worn to a point where the friction material is gone and the backing plates are exposed, digging into the rotors. Not only is your only braking ability coming from metal to metal contact, but it’s quickly ruining your rotors’ faces!
Why Choose Mobile Mechanic of McAllen?

Benefits of Brake Repair
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: Bad brakes display warning signs for impending brake maintenance. For example, if your brakes squeal or grind when in use, then your brake pads may be worn and require replacements. If your vehicle pulls to one side when braking, then this may point to worn brakes, a malfunctioning caliper, or low brake fluid in the brake lines. If your brake pedal pressed down too easily, also known as “spongy” brakes then this may be an indication of too much air in the hydraulic brake lines. Sometimes, your vehicle’s electronic diagnostic system will alert you to a potential brake issue by a service indicator light on the dashboard. While these are only some of the most common signs of potential problems with your vehicle’s brake system, noticing these signs of faulty brakes and seeking out a brake service can save you money down the line. Our staff is trained in maintaining and servicing front and rear brake systems and all accompanying brake system components like brake pads, brake shoes, parking brakes, rotors, drums, and hydraulic systems. If you experience any of the above signs or symptoms of bad brakes, like unusual squealing or grinding noises, then contact us online or call us today to have your brakes inspected immediately.
Tips of Mobile Brake Repair
It's hard to find time to handle your auto repair needs, especially for those with a crazy work or family schedule. When you choose to use a mobile brake repair service, you're typically going to receive added convenience, affordability and top-notch customer service, something often foreign to the auto repair industry. Since mobile brake repair services don't have to operate a full-fledged brake shop, their overhead is slightly lower, which means they can provide top-tier services for less than your local brick and motor brake store.
COST
Average Brake Repair Cost
There’s a great deal of variance when it comes to the cost of getting your brake pads replaced.
Brake Pads Only Cost Range
Parts (set of 4) $35 to $150 Labor $80 to $120 Total $100 to $300 per axle
It costs an average of $100 to $300 per axle to get pads replaced by a professional service center or mechanic. The pads themselves range from $35 to $150 for a set of 4 (one axle), depending on the material and quality of the pads and the make and model of your vehicle. If the front right wheel’s pads need to be replaced, you should get the ones on the front left wheel replaced at the same time to ensure that both sides wear out uniformly and prevent the car from pulling to one side when you press the brake.
Pads & Rotors Cost Range
Rotors (Parts) $30 to $75 each Pads (Parts) $35 to $150 Labor $150 to $200 Total $250 to $500 per axle
If your rotors need to be replaced as well, this could end up running you around $250 to $500 total (including pad replacement). Rotors themselves range from $30 to $75 each (some higher performance rotors are $100+). Prices depend heavily on type, quality and brand. There is also the comparison and decision to use aftermarket vs manufacturer (OEM) parts. Aftermarket parts are typically less expensive, are more available and have greater selection, while OEM parts have a greater assurance of quality, are easier to choose and come with a warranty.
Factors that Affect the Cost
● Whether you DIY, go to an independent mechanic or the dealership ● Year, make and model of your vehicle ● Brand/quality and type of pads and rotors used ● Cost of labor in your area (cities are usually more expensive)
Type and Quality of Parts Used
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: Pads come in a wide range of quality and materials and the differences in price reflect that. Therefore, premium ceramic pads for a high end vehicle such as an Audi R8 will cost significantly more than standard semi-metallic pads for your Toyota Camry.
Doing some research to determine which parts best fit your needs and buying aftermarket parts yourself instead of paying a technician labor and markup costs to decide for you can save you hundreds of dollars.
Cost of Labor
The cost of labor is another major factor and depends on your geographical location (supply and demand of auto maintenance) and whether you get the job done at a dealership, national service center chain or an independent mechanic. The average is typically around $60 to $100 per hour.
Brake jobs are usually priced at anywhere from 1-2 hours per axle (sometimes 3 for the most comprehensive jobs) worth of labor based on a flat rate pay system. The costs can add up if you need both your front and back brakes repaired.
While paying someone to fix your brakes isn’t the most affordable option, having a professional handle this job is the best way to go for those that don’t possess the mechanical skills.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will your machine/turn the rotors when replacing brake pads?
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: We don’t machine rotors for several reasons. We use top of the line ceramic that can form to little imperfections in the rotors and still stay quiet. If your rotors were in need of machining we would replace them for several reasons: 1. We can replace rotors and pads for the same price most shops charge a machine rotor and replace pads. 2. When a rotor is machined you make it thinner, decreasing its ability to cool properly, which leads to warping and a vibration in the pedal and/or steering wheel. We fix your brakes right the first time so you don’t have to come back in 6 months to spend more money on new rotors.
Why do my brakes squeak?
Squeaking happens for several reasons. Usually, the brake pad has worn down and the metal indicator is rubbing on the rotors. The pad can also be a poor material that will continue to make noise until replaced. Brake pads can also glaze over from being heated up and they will continue to squeak until replaced.
Why do my brakes make a grinding metal on metal sound?
Usually, grinding indicates the pads have worn all the way out. The metal backing that holds the brake pad material is all that’s left and once that contacts the rotors, it’s just metal on metal. The brake pads and rotors will need to be replaced.
Why do my brakes vibrate and/or my steering wheel shake when I press on the pedal?
This is an indication that either your front or rear brake rotors have warped. When this occurs the rotors have been compromised, they have high spots on them and the vibration will only continue to get worse.
My brake light is on, what does that mean? The brake light comes on when the brake fluid is low or there’s a malfunction in the master cylinder. If the fluid is low this is a good indication that the brake pads are worn down as well.
Can you come on weekends?
Yes, we have Saturday appointments available.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept cash and all major credit cards.
How long does it take?
On average brake jobs take forty-five minutes to an hour at most.
Do you work in the rain?
Yes, all our tools are waterproof and our technicians have great rain gear.
Can you come to my work or my apartment complex?
Yes, we can do brake repair at office buildings, in parking garages, on parking lots or low traffic streets. We have insurance and liability coverage to conduct repairs on third party properties.
Will it cost the same no matter where I live?
Yes, price varies only on the make and model of your vehicle and the repairs necessary.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, all parts and labor are covered under a comprehensive 24 month, 24,000 mile nationwide warranty.
Do you service all makes and models?

PSB crew & friends fundraiser
Dear Listeners,
I hope you are all well and looking after each other, especially those who need the most help. These are very worrying times but all we can try to do is offer comfort and kindness to each other.
As a band, we are in the very fortunate position of being ok financially for the next few months - most bands larger than us are probably in the same boat. One group of people who aren’t as fortunate, though, are touring crew members and musicians; they don’t have the benefit of PRS and PPL payments, streaming income, record sales income, advances against future records and so on.
Even though we had no gigs announced for this year we’d like to do our best to help those we work most regularly with, a group of around 10 to 15 people. All of the below items are being sold by me personally and any funds raised will be placed into an emergency PSB crew and musician fund, to enable anyone who needs help to take advantage of any available money. In the absence of any help from the government (as at lunchtime on March 17, anyway) it seems the least we could do. One of our most regular crew members has lost 14 weeks of work, already; clearly that is going to have a devastating impact, which is why we are doing what we can to help. (We have also made various behind-the-scenes efforts, too, to the extent to which we are able to afford to.)
In the event that none of our crew or session players needs assistance, we will find a suitable charity to donate this money to. Either way it will all end up going to a good cause, and none of it is for the band.
Obviously an unprecedented number of people are going to struggle financially over the coming months - to those with uncertain short-term financial futures who, in normal circumstances, would dearly love some of these items, we can only apologise. It’s not a competition - one group of struggling people isn’t more important than another, but these are people with whom we regularly work and communicate and who are part of our broader family, and we feel obliged to try to help them.
To try to accommodate those without the financial resources to buy these items off the bat, we’re running a raffle for one of the copies of EP One. See below for more details.
HOW THIS WILL WORK
If you’re interested in any item, please email [email protected], clearly stating which item(s) you’d like to buy. I am doing all of this manually so there is a chance the item will be gone by the time you email - apologies if so. I will try to respond as quickly as possible.
Some of the prices may seem high, but they are for the most part very rare PSB items and they are also the last that I have of most of them, so I am trying to get the most out of what I have in order to help others.
The sealed auction will run as an email auction until Sunday, March 22. I will hopefully be able to post the record on Monday, March 23. To place a bid, please email [email protected], clearly stating that it’s for the sealed auction and the amount you’re offering.
The raffle will run until Sunday, March 22 too. Tickets are virtual and are £5 each, to enable those with less disposable income to bid on an extremely rare item (after this fundraiser I will only have 2 left, from an original 250, and they won’t be re-pressed). You can buy more than one ticket but please do so in multiples of £5. If you are interested in taking part, please email [email protected] and clearly state the number of tickets you’d like to buy. You will be emailed further instructions.
Again, I am doing all of this myself, so please do bear with me if demand is higher than I anticipate.
ITEMS FOR SALE
First off - a word about test pressings! They are exactly what they sound like they are, ie pressings sent from the vinyl plant to us for approval or, indeed, rejection. They are often slightly poorer quality than the final version, for various boring reasons, and in some cases some of these have actually been rejected by us for being poor quality. But the value in these items doesn’t lie in their fidelity, rather their scarcity, so hopefully you won’t be expecting a pristine listen, rather an extremely rare edition of a cherished record.
Ok, here we go:
2 x copies of EP One
This is the first PSB vinyl release ever, pressed on 10″ in only 250 copies. After this fundraiser I have 2 more, forever, so they are extremely rare. They regularly go for upwards of £150 on eBay.
Tumblr media
One will run as a sealed auction - please send your name and your highest bid to [email protected]. The auction will close on Sunday at 7pm GMT.
The other, to allow those with less disposable income to take part, will be a virtual raffle. Tickets £5 each. You can buy more than one ticket but please do so in multiples of £5. If you are interested in taking part, please email [email protected] and clearly state the number of tickets you’d like to buy. You will be emailed further instructions.
NB - both items have ever-so-slight damage to the covers so they are not pristine! They’ve been in a cardboard box that was taken to numerous gigs and festivals in 2010 and 2011 with me desperately trying to flog them to uninterested parties, before The War Room came out and they started selling online!
TEST PRESSINGS
The following are rare test pressings of various albums, EPs and so on. There are a very limited number of copies available and it’s first come, first served. Please also read the disclaimer on audio quality above. I will try to update this list as they sell, but please don’t be disappointed if you email me and they’re already sold.
Dispatch will probably happen sometime next week (March 23 onwards) provided the postal service is still working; if it isn’t, I will post them as soon as is feasible.

I'm currently searching for a decent car insurance company. What do the great people of Yahoo Answers recommend? Do you possibly have any examples of how this car insurance company has helped you in the past? I don't know if it matters, but I live in Southern Illinois (in case region matters.) If you could throw out car insurance companies that you recommend, I'd greatly appreciate it. Please do not throw out an insurance company based on their jingle, slogan, or catchy phrase. For example, Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there! What exactly makes this company so much better than the others is what I'd like to know. Please and thank you. Car wreck with no insurance in tennessee?
I was recently involved in a car wreck where I wasn't insured whatsoever. This wreck was considered road rage on both parts. I didn't initiate the road rage. I had a dip spit bottle thrown at my car. It went in and all over me. I followed the other vehicle til he bowed up and stop in front of me where I then rear ended him. He was driving a '99 cadillac escalade and it didn't damaged anything but his bumper. He had insurance thus he didn't get a ticket I don't believe but I did and it says I didn't have insurance the time of the accident and a court date that follows up. My questions are what will exactly happen in court?? I have never been in a wreck. I now have insurance. I'm young. What will the court cost be? How will I pay him? Is there anything that I should know other than to show up?
Could someone explain health insurance deductibles?

How do you find a dentist who is affordable (no insurance)?
My fiance is in pain right now. I know there are probably sites that list/database a lot of local dentists but what about compettitive pricing? And that the websites are kept up-to-date? Can I Sue My Car Insurance Company For Fraud?
I bought insurance for my truck. after 3 months of paying my agent i noticed that my financing bank had added 1300 dollars to my loan as a collateral insurance because they did not have proof of my insurance. I went back to my agent and they explained that they forgot to send the payment for 3 months to the main insurance company and that is why it appeared to my bank that I did not have insurance. My insurance agent told me they were gonna do a re-installment and that they were going to give me proof that i had insurance for those 3 months so i could take it to my bank so they could remove the 1300 from the loan. It's been about 10 months and my insurance agent has not given me any proof of my policy so the bank is still charging me for those 3 months. (about 400 per month since im 20). my agent does not want to refund the money for those 3 months, and they do not want to give me a proof of policy. I do have proof of paying them for those 3 months since I payed with a check that they cashed. I want them to give me proof of insurance for those 3 months or to pay 1300 to my loan because they are charging it due to their fault since they forgot to send my payment. Can I do a civil law suit for those 1300. I have proof of my payment for those 3 months. I also have my policy number but it says it's cancelled due to non payment so bank will not accept that as insurance. right after those 3 months I opened a new policy with them and ive had it for 8 months and ive always payed on time. I recently noticed that when they opened the new policy they inputed my date of birth as if i was 40 years old instead of 20. I do not know if they did a mistake or if they did that on purpose to give me a better price. The thing is that all these 8 months I've been paying i was actually never covered since my date of birth was way wrong. Only my name was correct but I talked directly to the insurance and not my agent and they explained to me that if i would have crashed it wouldnt have covered me since they do not have the correct date of birth. I just fixed that directly with the agent and now they have the correct date of birth so the insurance price went up since im only 20. I dont mind about that. I just think it's unfair that i paid for almost a year and that i was actually never covered because they did a mistake on my information. Plus they caused the bank to charge me.. So i just feel like if all this has been a big scam since i paid so much and did not have insurance. Can I sue them to get my money back or at least pay the bank what the bank is charging me for not having insurance.. like i said i have all the recepits of all payments ive done and i also have a copy of the policy where my information is not accurate and how i was paying without being covered. They could not have made a mistake because I do not look like if im 40 years old. besides they obtained a copy of my drivers license where it clearly says my date of birth. I live in El Paso Texas so does any one know what i can do and if it's possible to get my money back if i sue my agent?""

""How many low information posters truly believe Obamacare's $5,0000 deductibles constitute affordable insurance?""
How can you say you have insurance when you have to pay $5,000 before it kicks in every year? A study by HealthPocket Inc. in December found that the average individual deductible for Obamacares bronze plan was $5,081 a year42 percent higher than the average deductible of $3,589 for an individually purchased plan. The deductibles on the low-cost plans are the real scandal here. The administration will surely trot out a long line of cancer patients and people with other terrible medical problems who got treatment in 2014 with coverage they werent able to buy in 2013, but there are going to be far more working poor and middle class people who still have to scrape together a decent premium after the subsidies, pay it faithfully, then get sick and go to the doctor, only to find out their policy doesnt cover anything until theyve paid a $5,000 deductible. I predict a LOT of dissatisfied lower income premium payers.""

Car insurance for a 17 year old? HELP?
Im 17 in the uk and passed my test 2 months ago and have been insured as an additional driver on a parents car since then (2500 for one year on a ka what a piss take). no claims or convictions, nothing. I've been looking to buy my own cheap car but the prices insurers are asking for on comparison websites are absoloutley ridiculous, 10,000 annual for a ford fieta worth 900! I've tried choosing cars with small engines like a citroen c1 but STILL ridiculous quotes. How ar other youngsters complaining of their annual insurance of 3000 when I cant even find one under 10,000!!!! WTF. How are 17 year olds driving their own cars at my college? from what I've seen its financialy impossible unless their parents are millionaires. Half the insurers I go to online are 'unable to offer a quote', and theres no point in me taking pass plus because that'll only take 100 off of a giagantic quote which'll make no difference whatsoever. WHAT THE HELL. my postcode is RM7 if that makes any difference? Is there any kind of specialist young driver insures that I can go to who'll give me a better deal? I mean even if it was 5000 annual I'd be happy! Or insures that do that black box in your car thing? Because Im actually a very safe driver and having to pa astronomical amounts because of statistics is rather annoying. So any ideas of insurers I can go to direct to try and get a decent deal? thanks""

HELP! Car & Insurance for 17 year old.?
Hi, I'm 17 in a week & will be starting my driving lessons. I have my theory booked for a few days after & aim to pass in around 6 weeks, depending on the waiting list for the test, having 3-4 lessons a week. Driving a car isn't a problem for me, have had plenty of practise on tracks in my dads weapon ;) & have for the last 8 weeks or so been going to an empty industrial estate one or twice a week, driving my mums cooper S or occasionally my uncles M3. Just need practice with the ways of public roads from my instructor. Anyway, as you can probably tell I've had a fair bit of experience driving fairly fast cars, so thats where i need advice - can anybody suggest any fairly fast cars that are reasonable to insure? or any cheap insurance company's, or any ways to get insurance down, as long as they aren't completely ridiculous lies, I want to keep it as legit as possibly ideally. So far I've been quoted 1600-ish on a standard golf on my mums insurance, but ideally want something a bit quicker then that. My budget for a car + insurance overall is 4-5k. My ideal car would be a GTI, anybody know where i can insure one cheap-ish? ALSO, *PLEEEEASE* no do-gooder's telling me it is 'fronting' to go on my mums insurance, I am well aware of this, however I am also aware that if the car is registered in my mums name with the DVLA, then they don't have a leg to stand on. I have checked this with one of my mums friends, a solicitor. Also, nobody telling me that I 'wouldn't be able to handle the power' or that I'd 'kill myself', believe me, I'd smoke you ;). Sorry its a bit long, please help! :-)""
Should I buy car insurance or not?
I am a teenage driver of 16. Insurance is very high for a teenager. My parents have Allstate Car Insurance for four of their cars including a Toyota Corolla which im going to be driving. The Corolla is covered by AllState insurance. I have a California Driver's License and live in California. About 6 months ago, my mom asked the insurance company whether the insurance would cover the car if she lent the car to someone and the insurance company said that they would cover the car as soon as the person who borrowed the car has a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. I have a valid drivers license but I am under 18 (I am 16). The insurance person did not say anything about age. My question is whether it is necessary or not to buy insurance for myself. How does an Insurance Claim work?
How does an insurance claim work. Let's say I get up one morning walk outside and my car has been stolen? The police come out and take a report, then they leave. How long would it take insurance cover this and how much would they cover? For example, if I have a car that I'm financing that is worth $24,500.00 dollars that had full insurance coverage. Basically, how does it work? Since it's being financed, I'm sure the insurance company would pay out the remaining balanced owed on the car to satisfy the loan with the finance company but what happens to me afterwards? Lets say I have $100,000 dollars in coverage that covers me in case of theft or something like that. Being that the car was fully covered and insurance was able to pay back the loan, would they give me the money to buy a new car at equal or face value of the car that was stolen? Insurance is so friggin complicated...if someone could explain the process to me I'd appreciate it.""

A Full Day of Thinking
I wake up in the morning and I reach for my phone. It’s 9:10. It’s almost two hours before my alarm. No, I don’t have anything on today. That’s why it’s a good day to eat good; I have no commitments, no dinners to eat out, no meeting friends for drinks. I don’t have many calories today. That’ll make me feel good.
I’m on social media. Not much is new. I’m trying to keep myself distracted for as long as I can before I start wanting breakfast. I’m not even hungry, but I know I get to eat soon. What will I have? Iced coffee with unsweetened almond milk and artificial sweetener- that’ll only be at absolute maximum 20 calories. Today I want to consume as little as possible without completely fasting because unless I’m in the right mood then it’s just unrealistic to eat nothing all day. I’ve only achieved that four or five times. I’ll give myself like 150 for breakfast. I’m out of all bran, so I’ll eat something else. A handful of cereal, that’s another 50. It wasn’t enough, I’ll have a small mug of cereal with unsweetened almond milk. That’ll take me to 150.
I get back into bed and sit on my laptop. I’m watching youtube. I’m thinking about my day. I don’t have to do anything. It’s a free day and the weather is fine. I’m going to go for a walk later. I’ll try to walk 10,000 steps because that’ll be another 250 ish calories burnt. That means in the whole day I’ll probably burn about 1750, maybe 1800. So to have a deficit of 1200 which is what I need after my binge on pizza express and marshmallows and tiramisu and crackers on Friday. So for 1200 deficit, I can have about 550 calories today. Every time I’ve walked through to the kitchen I’ve had another 20 calorie crackerbread and an oreo. I’m at about 300. 250 left, got to make it stretch until this evening.
It’s only 12:30, so I will skip lunch. I’ve already had it, really, with those crackerbreads. Maybe I’ll let myself have one before I leave for my walk. I’ll go at 15:00 so then I’m persuaded to stay out later waiting for it to get dark. That means I’ll have to walk through the local area and see people I may know, though. Does that mean I’m going to have to wear makeup? Means I can’t wear my skirt, it rides up when I walk and so can’t wear it for a walking venture. But my jeans are too small. They’re clearly too small for me it makes me anxious putting them on. Maybe I won’t go for a walk.
I re-watch my three most recent body check videos. It’s where I leave snapchat videoing from some corner of my room and walk around in my underwear, outfit, sometimes naked. I’ll record for the whole minute it will let me and I’ll point myself in every direction, change postures, lift up my arms, try to act natural. I will try and see myself how others see me. I watch these videos to try to see what I look like. I have no idea what shape my body is. Every time I look at a photo of me I look different. My hips are huge, except for when they’re not. My arms are fat, but not in the way they used to be: fatter at the top, squashing out into a diamond when they’re pressed against my side. Now they’re just thick all the way down. I look top-heavy. My ass looks huge from the back, but in reality completely flat. My calves and lower legs are too skinny for the rest of my body. I think… that’s what most of the videos show. The only thing I know is I’m huge. I’m not particularly tall at 5ft8, but always the tallest in the photos with my friends. Always the one with the widest, squarest shoulders. No boobs either. Always the most masculine. I want to be thin. I want to be feminine.
I then re-watch a body check video from last year when I was at my skinniest and almost start shaking. I can’t believe I let that body go. For what? Gluttony. I wish I was like that again… but why? I’m watching a body check video of myself, so at the time I clearly wasn’t happy then either. I still didn’t know what I looked like. I still don’t know what the body in those videos looks like… but it looks thin. It looks quite bony actually, kind of lumpy. It doesn’t look nice.
But I remember the feeling of my thighs only barely touching. I remember holding my upper arm and realising how slim I was, feeling the bones, feeling great because I could feel that I was skinny. Mixed reviews of nice and slim and ‘really very thin, (me)’ with worried voices. God it was good not to have to worry about every half a kilogram. Except I did, I know I did. That’s why I was looking like that. Looking like that didn’t give me more control, it gave me less. Looking like that was the product of no social life during lockdown. There’s no way I could maintain it whilst drinking and living my life.
So, I know that the skinny body isn’t sustainable. It’s almost like that’s not the shape my body is supposed to be. It didn’t even look good. It looked skinny. It looked a little obsessed. It looked like it was missing out on a lot, spending lots of time in bed being cold and walking around on knobbly knees and eating 800 calories a day for weeks on end to just keep dropping.
But it looks far away from being fat and feels like far away from being fat. That is why I want it.
But I don’t, because I just want to be happy and live my life. But I will live my life less stressed out if I’m skinny and far away from being fat.
But I’m not fat. I’ve never been fat. I look good enough. Maybe I look better? Don’t ask me, I don’t know what I look like.
So I don’t want to force myself into being skinny when I know it doesn’t make me feel or look better, but it would be nice. I know. I’ll be happy with how I am but I’ll try to lose a little more weight at least so I can fit my jeans.
Well, it’s my birthday in a few days and I know I have plans this weekend, so they’re going to be a lot of extra calories so I will deduct them from my other days. Plus a little more… you know, to be skinny but casually… yeah.
So I have two hours left today before I go for my walk. I will wait on my bed watching nonsense and not paying attention. I will be thinking about dinner. I think I have one egg and some frozen bread. That’s 70 calories and 98 calories respectively. I won’t use butter or oil. I’ll walk for a couple hours and watch it get dark. Then I’ll come in and try to distract myself in another way for as long as possible. Every thing that I watch I will look at the women’s bodies. How are they so thin even when playing a strong roll like in the army or an action sequence. Why can I see their ribcages under the pendants of their necklaces. Which one looks like me the most- do any at all? Why are even the decently weighted girls so pretty and shaped so proportionately. Why do I feel like I have permission to dissect these bodies with my eyes. Why do I care. Why do I care? I want to eat. I’ll stay on my laptop though and think about my egg. Maybe I won’t boil it. I’ll look through those videos of me again. God, my lower stomach sticks out these days. My feet look too big for my body. What about if I only look at my head? Most people only look at my head when they talk to me so that might put me into proportion a bit.
It’s 19:00, only half an hour until I can really start my dinner. But if I start boiling it now it will be ready in time? No, too early. I will go and stand in the living room and talk to people. I’ll tell them I’m only having a small dinner because I have been eating all day. Maybe I’ll tell them I had a huge lunch too if they ask questions.
Why am I hiding this? They wouldn’t understand. They don’t know I need so little calories or I will get fatter. They don’t know how good I used to look.
I will cook my egg and eat it on toast. I will eat more crackers. I am over my 500 calories. I want something sweet. I will have an Oreo. Maybe two. I will brush my teeth early to try and stop myself eating more. I have bought a huge bottle of diet something or other. I will drink it and tell my body it is sustenance.
I went over my limit by 200 calories.
It’s fine. Tomorrow I will just have 350.
I just want to be happy.
In the middle of the night I will search for some clothes I used to fit into and put them on feeling how tight they now are. I hold out the waists of my jeans to envision what they look like with a person in. I get back into bed and re-watch the videos.

“And there we have it! It looks like the Blue Team filled up their bucket first! Now let’s head up front and get this show started!”
As the audience cheered, the four guys made their way over to the podiums, toweling themselves off as producers and stagehands got everything into position.
“I’m your host Liza Koshy, and we got a VERY special episode of Double Dare in store for you today, kids! Joining us are the guys from Big Time Rush!”
The kids in the crowd all stood up screaming, some near tears, as they saw the four finally reunited once again.
“Let’s get with the Blue Team first. Over on the left, we have the Zappy Zebras, Carlos Garcia and James Diamond! It is SO great to see you two again, how are you guys?”
“Amazing Liza, it’s great to be back on TV again!” Carlos beamed, waving over at all of the kids in the crowd.
“You can say that again!” James added.
“So it’s been FOUR whole years since we’ve last seen BTR, what have you both been up to?” Liza asked.
“Well, I’ve just been doing a bit of acting here and there, I’m assuming you guys all watched Grease Live, right?” Carlos said, as the audience went bonkers. “Yeah, won 13 Emmy’s for that one. But other than that, I’ve just been enjoying life with my husband and our new daughter!” Carlos said, holding up a hand to show everyone the wedding band. “Alec and Keke Rae are both actually in the audience right now!”
The camera zoomed in on the two, the personal trainer smiling bashfully as he made his little iconic daughter wave to the camera.
“Such a beautiful couple! AND an adorable little daughter, too.” Liza squealed, with everyone nodding their head in agreement. “And you, James?”
“SO glad you asked! I’ve actually been working on some new-”
“Oh awesome, now let’s move onto the Red Team!” Liza said, cutting him off and doing the entire building a favor. “Over on the right, we have…….. um, did we get the name cleared by producers?” Liza asked, a bewildered expression on her face. A minutes passed, until a producer came up and whis[ered into her ear. “Really?! Well…. Alright then. Over on the right, we have the Bossy Bottoms...”
Met with hesitant clapping and at least 70% of the children asking their parents what that meant, Kendall excitedly waved to the crowd with both hands, while Logan stood there.
“Kendall Knight, Logan Mitchell, it’s so great to see you guys too!” Liza said.
“I just go by Logan now.” Logan chimed in, scowl plastered on his face.
“… So Kendall! What can you tell us all about what you’ve been doing these past couple of years?”
“Thank Liza! Just been working on some music, me and my buddy Dustin actually started a new band called Heffron Drive a few years back, and we’re getting ready to release our second album! And apart from that, just taking things easy, you know, stuff like that!” Kendall said excitedly. “In fact, Dustin’s here in the audience to support me and Logan today too!”
The camera now zoomed in to the darker haired guy, smiling as he waved to everyone watching at home.
“That’s so cool! I actually listened to your guy’s first album and thought it was spectacular!” Liza responded, Kendall nodding his head courteously. “And what about you, Logan? Anything you’d like to tell us all about?”
“….”
“Logan, what have you been up to?”
“….”
“Logan?”
“What?” the brunet barked at her, causing the entire audience to widen their eyes a bit, a few murmurs rumbling throughout the crowd.
“Um. Everyone here just wanted to know what you’ve been up to the last couple of years.”
“Music, obviously. I have a fucking Grammy nomination, I just headlined Wango Tango, I’m the only one standing up here that’s charted in the goddamn Billboard Top 10…” Logan grumbled matter-of-factly, rolling his eyes.
“Can we please not cuss on here? This is a children’s show, after all, and we’d like to keep it PG!” Liza said, trying her best to force a smile on her face as Logan remained difficult to interact with. “Also, I see you’re not wearing your team colors? Or uniform, as a matter of fact.”
It was true – while the other three were wearing their t-shirts, athletic pants, and white sneakers, Logan was instead wearing something completely different. He had on black leather pants, combat boots, and a sleeveless black crop top that at least had the Double Dare logo that matched the others.
“Yeah, I thought the outfits were stupid, so I had this one custom made.”
“Fine. Let’s just get the first round started. Blue Team! Since you guys won the first round, you guys have control of the board!” Liza said, Carlos and James both giving one another a fist bump in response. “Quick overview of the game for everyone watching out there: each question you guys are given will be worth $50. You can either answer the question, or dare the opposing team to do it. If they get it right, they get $100, and if they don’t know it, they can double dare it and send it right back to you. Answer right and you’ll get $150, or if you’re still stumped, you can choose to do a physical challenge. Got it?!”
“Got it!” Carlos and James yelled in unison.
“Marc, you think these four got what it takes to prove just how smart they really are?”
“Definitely! I think they’re gonna show that there’s more to being in a boyband than just a pretty face!” Marc Sommers said.
“Awesome! So the first question I’m throwing out your way is as follows: Which Marvel superhero, also known as Steve Rogers, made his first appearance in March 1941?”
As the two whispered to one another, they quickly reached a consensus. “Captain America!” Carlos shouted into the microphone.
“That’s correct! That’s $50 over to the Zappy Zebras, and now we got another question in store for you two. According to the old English proverb, what is 'in the eye of the beholder'? Is it A, Beauty? B, Knowledge? Or C, Humor?”
Huddling together again, the two once again came to another conclusion. “Liza, I think we’re gonna go with A – Beauty!” James quipped, a ding signifying that they were right once again.
“You guys are on a roll! With a score now of 100, I’m going to ask you another question. “She wants to taste the sun, cause baby, she’s BORN to run! In this song, Victoria Justice is just trying to make it in WHAT location?”
“AMERICA!”
Hearing a loud shout from across the room, everyone looked over to the right to see Kendall desperately clutching onto the microphone.
“That’s right Kendall, but you aren’t allowed to answer when you don’t have control of the board. I’m sorry, but I’m gonna have to give that one to the Blue Team.” Liza said, apologetic look on her face as Kendall sadly looked down, Logan shooting daggers at him.
“Now, Blue Team, since you’re still in control, I’m going to ask you another question. Not only the name of a chirpy little insect, this sport that is popular in England is commonly known as what?”
As the two quietly whispered to themselves, they turned to the host snickering as they prepared to give their answer. “Dare.” Carlos said.
“Okay, Red Team, that means it’s your chance to steal the board! Now let me repeat the question: Not only the name of a chirpy little insect, this sport that is popular in England is commonly known as what?”
Kendall and Logan looked over at one another, gulping as they realized that it was their turn to answer.
“Those assholes know that we know nothing about sports!” Logan whispered to the blond, his eyebrows furrowing as he realized that they were fucked.
“I know! And time’s ticking and we have to say something. Should we just Double Dare them?” Kendall asked.
“No! I’m not about to let them get $150 for this question.”
“Time’s almost up, red team!”
“We know!” Logan barked, turning his head to give both of the hosts a glare. “Shit, just say something.”
“Fine, fine!” Kendall said. Turning back to the podium, he cleared his throat as he leaned into the microphone. “Uh, Liza, we’re gonna go with… golf?”
“GOLF?!” Logan yelled at the blond, his voice cracking and pitchy as he couldn’t believe the stupidity of his friend. “What bug do you know that’s called a golf?”
“I’m sorry! It was the first thing that came to mind!”
“Sorry Red Team, but we were looking for cricket! Blue Team, that means you guys get $100 added to your score!” Liza said, James and Carlos chest bumping in excitement.
“Why did we get the hard question?” Kendall whined, while Logan only ignored him.
Suddenly, an alarm went off.
“Well, that looks like that’s the end of round one! Let’s take a look at the boards. Zappy Zebras! You both currently have $250, and the…. Red team! You guys are still at zero, but it’s still anyone’s game! Let’s cut to commercial and when we get back, we’ll see what Round 2 has in store for us!”
The audience cheered at the stage hands yelled out cut, working to get the next physical challenge all set up.

BEST MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR SERVICES IN MCALLEN TX
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: Automotive brakes have a very important function: Get your vehicle to slow down and stop moving. Ensuring that they’re in proper shape is important to a driver. Mobile Auto Truck Repair McAllen offers brake inspections & repairs in McAllen TX.
These are all signs to watch for: Brake Repair in McAllen TX
The vehicle has a pronounced pull to one side when braking The vehicle has a noticeable pulsation or vibration through brake pedal while braking A tendency for one or more wheels to lock up and skid while braking Excessive brake pedal travel, i.e. brake pedal goes farther toward floor before brakes engage Brake pedal feels “soft” or “spongy” underfoot Shimmy through steering wheel while braking Squeal, groan or metallic grinding noise while braking.
We make it easy to get the help that you need, whether you need emergency help or just have a routine concern. Give us a call and we will provide you with fast service, so you don’t have to wait for long.

It’s hard to find time to handle your auto repair needs, especially for those with a crazy work or family schedule. When you choose to use a mobile brake repair service, you’re typically going to receive added convenience, affordability and top-notch customer service, something often foreign to the auto repair industry. Since mobile brake repair services don’t have to operate a full-fledged brake shop, their overhead is slightly lower, which means they can provide top-tier services for less than your local brick and motor brake store.
COST
Average Brake Repair Cost
There’s a great deal of variance when it comes to the cost of getting your brake pads replaced.
Brake Pads Only                 Cost Range
Parts (set of 4)                    $35 to $150
Labor                         $80 to $120
Total                                       $100 to $300 per axle
It costs an average of $100 to $300 per axle to get pads replaced by a professional service center or mechanic. The pads themselves range from $35 to $150 for a set of 4 (one axle), depending on the material and quality of the pads and the make and model of your vehicle.
If the front right wheel’s pads need to be replaced, you should get the ones on the front left wheel replaced at the same time to ensure that both sides wear out uniformly and prevent the car from pulling to one side when you press the brake.
Pads & Rotors                     Cost Range
Rotors (Parts)                      $30 to $75 each
Pads (Parts)                          $35 to $150
Labor                         $150 to $200
Total                                       $250 to $500 per axle
If your rotors need to be replaced as well, this could end up running you around $250 to $500 total (including pad replacement). Rotors themselves range from $30 to $75 each (some higher performance rotors are $100+). Prices depend heavily on type, quality and brand.
There is also the comparison and decision to use aftermarket vs manufacturer (OEM) parts. Aftermarket parts are typically less expensive, are more available and have greater selection, while OEM parts have a greater assurance of quality, are easier to choose and come with a warranty.
Factors that Affect the Cost
Whether you DIY, go to an independent mechanic or the dealership Year, make and model of your vehicle Brand/quality and type of pads and rotors used Cost of labor in your area (cities are usually more expensive) Type and Quality of Parts Used
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: Pads come in a wide range of quality and materials and the differences in price reflect that.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Will your machine/turn the rotors when replacing brake pads?
Mobile Brake Repair Service near McAllen TX: We don’t machine rotors for several reasons. We use top of the line ceramic that can form to little imperfections in the rotors and still stay quiet. If your rotors were in need of machining we would replace them for several reasons:
We can replace rotors and pads for the same price most shops charge a machine rotor and replace pads.
Yes, all of our technicians have the tools and experience to service everything from the simplest domestic cars to the most advanced imports.

BEST MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR SERVICES IN WICHITA KS WICHITA MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Wichita KS: Automotive brakes have a very important function: Get your vehicle to slow down and stop moving. Ensuring that they're in proper shape is important to a driver. A1 Mobile Mechanics Of Wichita offers brake inspections & repairs in Wichita KS.
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Wichita KS: Sometimes it might be a bit difficult to tell when your brakes might need servicing. There are a few tell tale signs that can help you to diagnose brake issues.
These are all signs to watch for: Brake Repair in Wichita KS ● The vehicle has a pronounced pull to one side when braking ● The vehicle has a noticeable pulsation or vibration through brake pedal while braking ● A tendency for one or more wheels to lock up and skid while braking ● Excessive brake pedal travel, i.e. brake pedal goes farther toward floor before brakes engage ● Brake pedal feels “soft” or “spongy” underfoot ● Shimmy through steering wheel while braking ● Squeal, groan or metallic grinding noise while braking.
Why Choose A1 Mobile Mechanics Of Wichita?

Benefits of Brake Repair
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Wichita KS: Bad brakes display warning signs for impending brake maintenance.
Type and Quality of Parts Used
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Wichita KS: Pads come in a wide range of quality and materials and the differences in price reflect that.
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Wichita KS: We don’t machine rotors for several reasons.
Yes, all of our technicians have the tools and experience to service everything from the simplest domestic cars to the most advanced imports.

Eco’s Monster Castle: One Kid's Trash. A Grown-Up Man's Treasure...
If Speclatron’s Dethlor is the holy grail figure of MotU-KOs, then one particular playset is its castle. Eco’s Monster Castle! Probably the ultimate, and most delicate Castle Grayskull knock-off that you will find. Every MotU-KOllector knows what it is, but only a few have ever seen one in the flesh. Fewer have ever touched one, and only the fewest can call an Eco Monster Castle playset their own. From all MotU-KO playsets that verifiably exist, this one is the rarest, and most expensive one.
Tumblr media
Boxed Monster Castle sample, courtesy of fellow KOllector Mario “Spida” Garay.
I can remember the time when I bought my first Monster Castle (MC) as a collector about six years ago, for around 40 Euro. Shipped! I thougt 40 Euro was relatively expensive for what I got. I can also remember how I passed on a boxed sample at the Grayskull Convention in Germany one year later, in 2012. The seller was asking 100 Euro, which I thought was overpriced. I had no clue what was coming next! Three years ago, you could pick up a complete castle for 150 to 250 Euro, loose. Nowadays you need deeper pockets. 400 Euro for a loose, complete one can be considered a “steal”. I’ve seen loose ones selling for 700 and more. Boxed ones almost never show up. But the last one I know of sold for 1.200 USD in the Knock-Off Collectors Trading Outpost group on Facebook. It’s crazy what people are willing to pay for the “German” interpretation of Castle Grayskull.
Tumblr media
Wait, did I just say “German”? Yes! MC was manufactured by Eberlein & Co., abbreviated Eco, in Nuremberg, West-Germany. Not China, or Hong Kong, as you would probably think. The company was founded in 1938, and focused on plastic thermoforming in the 60s. They produced all kinds of plasticly things you need or don’t need in life. Store displays (!), blister packs, roof luggage racks, and also toys. Other famous items among KOllectors are their Moon, and Volcano Plates. Eberlein & Co. still exist, but they seem to have moved out of the toy business years ago.
Tumblr media
MC is often considered the official Sungold Galaxy Warriors playset. Mostly because the castle was advertised along with Galaxy Warriors figures on the original box it came in. I was actually trying to get more background info on this subject from Eco. But for some reason they’re not answering my emails. Probably because they’ve been flooded with inquiries from nerds like me already, ha! (“Ach! Schon wieder einer von diesen Spinnern!” *delete message*.) Anyway, let’s assume the obvious. Very likely Eco showed Sungold figures on their packaging because they needed a safe way to advertise MC as a 5.5" fantasy action figure compatible playset, and as a cheap alternative to the MotU originals. Simple as that! Other than Mattel, Sungold were unlikely to give Eco any trouble regarding copyright. Using MotU knock-off figures on their packaging was a safe alternative to the “real thing”! Maybe Eco even had a deal with Sungold. Maybe it was sort of an “official” third-party playset for the Galaxy Warriors line. We’ll probably never know for sure.
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Both Monster Castle versions (regular to the left, lite-up version to the right), on display with Eco’s Volcano Plates. From my private collection.
If you look close at the MC box, where the Galaxy Warriors figures are pictured, there’s one particularly striking detail. One figure (Ygg) is holding the hellbard from the Castle Grayskull playset in its hand. How did it get there? Like John Coats has mentioned on his Galaxy Warriors blog, a possible explanation is that Eco (or whoever designed MC, and snapped the promo pic) had purchased a Grayskull for inspirational reasons. Its weapon lot eventually got mixed up with the bunch of Galaxy Warriors.
Tumblr media
I’ve also been wondering where Eco got the inspiration for that distinctive giant monster hand from. Also that nightmarish lovedoll-face keeps fascinating me. The combination is just too brilliant. What instantly came to my mind were classic 60s toys from Japan and Hong Kong, like the Creeping Crawling Hand, Frankenstein’s Hand, or the Coffin Bank.
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
The Coffin Bank, first made by Yonezawa Toys (Japan) in the 1950s. Pic courtesy of http://horrorpedia.com.
And that MC face? Well, a couple of months back I watched some classic Japanese kaiju flicks from my bucket list, and there it was! Daimajin, the Monster of Terror! A  trilogy of Japanese cult movies from the 1960s, about a giant stone samurai monster, “protecting” a small village and its residents against an evil warlord. Daimajin’s face bears alot of resemblance to the MC face indeed. Also the colors are similar. I assume the blinking eye and o-shaped mouth were added for two reasons. 1.) to add the popular image of the hungry ghost, and 2.) to conceal the obvious. It’s quite possible that the designer of Monster Castle was intentionally mimicking Daimajin, but didn’t want it to look exactly the same, to once more avoid copyright issues for Eco. I don’t think that the designer was German by the way. The fabrication of the castle took place in Germany, yes. But the true creator must have been from Asia. Not directly from Japan, but from a neighboring culture area that was more familiar with the concept of Japanese horror toys, and the Daimajin movies. I’d say the design of Monster Castle originated in the same area where those numerous Coffin Bank knock-offs and bootlegs were coming from. Hong Kong, the knock-off Mekka!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A MotU-KO playset, designed by some cheap hired artist in Hong Kong, and eventually produced in Germany, that’s definitely uncommon. But despite the design’s possible origin, MC was distributed within the German market and its neighboring countries only. It was never released overseas. This also explains the playset’s rarity. Besides its limited, local distribution, the castle’s fragility is another explanation. Simply not many units have survived the 80s. Not to speak of boxed ones. To be honest with you guys that have never seen, and don’t own a Monster Castle in the flesh, it’s actually the thinnest piece of plastic junk that you can imagine. Sad but true, the quality of this gem is complete shit! It looks, and feels like a vacuum pulled store display, but certainly not like a real 5.5 playset. But think about it, maybe it was intended as a third-party store display in the beginning, to promote Galaxy Warriors and other 5.5 action figures in toy stores! Probably designed, and sculpted by the same guy(s) in Hong Kong who also had created Sungold’s Galaxy Warriors! Then Eco decided to give it a real packaging, and turn it into a buyable consumer product.
Tumblr media
My first Monster Castle, purchased back in 2011, insta-buy on eBay for 40€ shipped!
Well, a thin piece of vacuumed plastic “Made in West-Germany” seems to be one thing. A playable alternative to Castle Grayskull made in the same country is another. Monster Castle is what it is, because the costs of a real 5.5 playset “Made in Germany” would have been way too high. It seems like in this case the much praised German quality did not prevail!
Tumblr media
Both Monster Castle versions on display with Underworld Warriors and Combo figures. Pic from my private collection.
Due to its poor quality, and strange look, I can imagine that back in the 80s Eco’s Monster Castle wasn’t a hit at all. Which might explain why the even rarer lite-up eye version of the castle exists. Eco were simply trying to pimp up a bad selling product with as less effort as possible. There’s also rumors that some castles came with a movable monster hand. A hand that’s not just hanging there, but that could be moved from the back. None of the castles that I’ve owned (it’s  been four so far), and none of the ones that I’ve seen had this gadget, though. Even not the boxed ones.
As much as I’m digging the design and concept of Eco’s creation, its quality is just disappointing. But only if you see it as what it not really is, a playset. If you look at it as what it really looks and feels like, a rare and fragile store display, it’s actually cool. Extremely cool. This still doesn’t justify the crazy prices it’s going for, but hey - that’s just my opinion, dude. Eco’s Monster Castle looks sick, super weird, and otherworldish. It’s a great addition to every MotU-KOllection, and every MotU-KOllector wants, and should have one. The only problem is that it’s extremely hard to find. I’d say even harder than all Speclatron figures combined. In a situation like this it’s worth every penny that KOllectors are willing to pay for it. Period.
But still, if Eco would just answer my emails, and see what the market is like today. Oh boy! They wouldn’t believe how one kid’s trash from 30 years ago can turn into a grown-up man’s treasure.

BEST MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR SERVICES IN LINCOLN NE LINCOLN MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Lincoln NE: Automotive brakes have a very important function: Get your vehicle to slow down and stop moving. Ensuring that they're in proper shape is important to a driver. Mobile Auto Truck Repair Lincoln offers brake inspections & repairs in Lincoln NE.
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Lincoln NE: Sometimes it might be a bit difficult to tell when your brakes might need servicing. There are a few tell tale signs that can help you to diagnose brake issues.
These are all signs to watch for: Brake Repair in Lincoln NE ● The vehicle has a pronounced pull to one side when braking ● The vehicle has a noticeable pulsation or vibration through brake pedal while braking ● A tendency for one or more wheels to lock up and skid while braking ● Excessive brake pedal travel, i.e. brake pedal goes farther toward floor before brakes engage ● Brake pedal feels “soft” or “spongy” underfoot ● Shimmy through steering wheel while braking ● Squeal, groan or metallic grinding noise while braking.
Why Choose Mobile Auto Truck Repair Lincoln?

Benefits of Brake Repair
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Lincoln NE: Bad brakes display warning signs for impending brake maintenance.
Type and Quality of Parts Used
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Lincoln NE: Pads come in a wide range of quality and materials and the differences in price reflect that.
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Lincoln NE: We don’t machine rotors for several reasons.

Benefits of Brake Repair
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Albuquerque NM: Bad brakes display warning signs for impending brake maintenance.
Type and Quality of Parts Used
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Albuquerque NM: Pads come in a wide range of quality and materials and the differences in price reflect that.
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Albuquerque NM: We don’t machine rotors for several reasons.
Yes, all of our technicians have the tools and experience to service everything from the simplest domestic cars to the most advanced imports.

BEST MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR SERVICES IN OMAHA NE
OMAHA MOBILE BRAKE REPAIR
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Omaha NE: Automotive brakes have a very important function: Get your vehicle to slow down and stop moving. Ensuring that they're in proper shape is important to a driver. Mobile Mechanics of Omaha offers brake inspections & repairs in Omaha NE.
Mobile Brake Repair Service near Omaha NE: Sometimes it might be a bit difficult to tell when your brakes might need servicing. There are a few tell tale signs that can help you to diagnose brake issues.
These are all signs to watch for: Brake Repair in Omaha NE ● The vehicle has a pronounced pull to one side when braking ● The vehicle has a noticeable pulsation or vibration through brake pedal while braking ● A tendency for one or more wheels to lock up and skid while braking ● Excessive brake pedal travel, i.e. brake pedal goes farther toward floor before brakes engage ● Brake pedal feels “soft” or “spongy” underfoot ● Shimmy through steering wheel while braking ● Squeal, groan or metallic grinding noise while braking.
